This is a very different week from last week. There is simply not too much going on in the heavens. And that, my friends is cause for celebration!
Yes, we still have Mars moving retrograde along with Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto.
We are still working through the issues of how we misuse our direct drive and aggression, individually and collectively.
For the most part, we are simply managing the Moon and her ongoing conversations with all the planets day to day as she goes from one sign to the next.
This is the last week with the Sun in Cancer as it heads into Leo on Sunday!
Ahh, Joy! I confess that Leo season is my joy!

SET THE STAGE FOR ACCOMPLISHMENT
Monday, July 16, 2018:
The week begins with the meticulous and productive Virgo Moon forming a lovely sextile to Jupiter, the planet of growth and expansion. You want to be useful and to properly analyze any situation in order to make improvements. This is a great morning to accomplish tasks quickly and easily.
Later in the afternoon, when the Moon opposes Neptune at 4:24 PM EDT, you may find yourself feeling uncertain about how to proceed. Perhaps, it is simply time to end the work day and take yourself to a movie or meditation center, write poetry, or daydream by a body of water.
Take time before sleep to make a list of all that you want to accomplish over the course of the week. A trine aspect from the Moon to powerful Pluto will set the stage for accomplishment.

CREATE BEAUTY AND LOVE
Tuesday, July 17, 2018:
Tuesday begins with a sextile from the industrious Virgo Moon to the Cancer Sun. This is a ‘feel good’ aspect and its energy will rest with you until the Moon enters Libra at 3:43 PM EDT.
Because the Moon is VOC* during that time, focus your attention on common tasks; don’t try to dive into complex projects of a long-term nature. Clean out your inbox, do the laundry, or clean out the car.
At 3:43 PM EDT, the Moon enters Libra, offering an evening that supports romantic or diplomatic endeavors, socializing, or creating art. As you interact with others, it is good to remember that while the Moon moves through Libra we all desire companionship and beauty.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* from 6:49 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 3:43 PM EDT.
When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

REST WITH PLEASURE
Wednesday, July 18, 2018:
Wednesday offers a day with very little planetary activity as the Moon gently flows through charming, pleasant Libra. One thing to remember about Libra is that being an Air sign it is fundamentally an intellectual charm that is important here. What we want at this time is companionship, friendships, social alliances, and intimate gatherings. We want to engage with others in ways that provide cooperation, diplomacy, and compromise. Enjoy cultural activities, go to a museum, a concert, or a small gathering with compatible others.
It may not be easy to take a stand, be decisive, or speak up for yourself. Let yourself off the hook. Rest in the pleasure. There is always another day to take action or speak up.

FINDING BALANCE
Thursday, July 19, 2018:
Thursday brings us to the First Quarter phase of the Moon. This puts the Libra Moon at odds with the Cancer Sun. The Libra Moon wants to make things look pretty and nice while the Cancer Sun is more interested in the messy world of emotional bonding.
Libra does not want to get its hands dirty and Cancer is more than willing to do so in the name of love. The theme of the day is found in balancing those two distinct impulses. How can the powerful sensitivity of Cancer feed the Libra need for diplomacy and smoothe social graces? Hold these ideas as you balance the day.
At 9:12 PM EDT, the Moon stops looking for peace and harmony and leaves Libra behind and enters the deeply emotional, dark waters of Scorpio. Head to bed with thoughts of powerful connection with your partner or delve into the dark sphere of your dreams.
The Libra Moon is VOC* from 3:53 PM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 9:12 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

CONNECT DEEPLY
Friday, July 20, 2018:
Friday morning may start out a bit rough as the Scorpio Moon forms a challenging square aspect to Mars, in his retrograde path. Avoiding arguments over the breakfast table may be the most difficult part of your day. Consider where anger and frustration have damaged your relationships and your credibility. Keep in mind that Mars’ retrograde provides an opportunity to explore, dissolve, and eliminate toxic anger.
The day smooths out and offers an evening that is made for close and deep connections with close friends and lovers. With a sextile to Venus and a conjunction to Jupiter, you are looking for love that expands and fills your heart on a deeply profound level. Don’t settle for light social fare. Connect deeply for powerful soul growth.

“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino

GO DEEP TO FACILITATE

HEALING
Saturday, July 21, 2018:
The general mood of each day is reflected by the transits of the Moon. On Saturday, there are no other transits perfecting so we can simply consider the Moon’s movement through Scorpio. Scorpio gets a bad rap as it is a sign that has a profound need to go deep and explore the inner dark corner of the psyche.
While the Moon is going through Scorpio, you may be more aware of those things that you generally keep out of sight and all the things that polite society would rather we kept hidden under a rug. However, Scorpio suggests the importance of bringing what is hidden into the light, to be excavated, and to be brought forth for healing.
The things that Scorpio hides are usually the more unacceptable parts of our lives and personalities but remember that many folks hide their most precious gifts as well. Whatever you keep hidden is far closer to the surface on these Scorpio Moon days. Look inside, what you find needs light and healing. Provide that to yourself. Show love to the parts of yourself that most need healing.
At 4:01 PM EDT, when the Moon squares Mercury, it is best to think twice about sharing your deep inner thoughts and motivation with others. Keep your own counsel.

THE SUN ENTERS OPEN-HEARTED, GENEROUS LEO
Sunday, July 22, 2018:
Sunday begins with a sextile aspect from lovely Venus to expansive Jupiter. The cycle between Venus and Jupiter is a cycle of expanding our deep values. This cycle began in November 2017 and is now wrapping up in order to step onto a higher plane in January 2019. Consider what new step regarding love, money, art, or beauty you’d like to begin then. Now is the time to begin contemplating what will need to be released even as you begin to explore ideas for the next cycle. Think of these cycles as spirals going upward, ending one is really just taking the step to the next level as you spiral upward.
However, the biggest news comes at 5:00 PM EDT when the Sun enters generous, enthusiastic Leo, the sign that Leo rules. Here, we reach the height of Summer. Everyone understands the strength and life-giving force of the Sun. Feel the warmth and remember that life can not exist without the Sun. Now, is the time to absorb the rays and heat of the Sun that will carry you through the times with less light and warmth.
While the Sun is in Leo, folks take vacations and relax their grip on schedules and rules. There is a playfulness in the air. Think of the carnivals and fairs that happen at this time of year. Over the coming month don’t forget to express generosity and play.
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* from 5:18 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 6:13 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

EVENING SURPRISES
Monday, July 2, 2018:
Monday begins with a quietly quirky VOC* Aquarius Moon. There’s no need to hurry into this week and attempting to do so will simply leave you frustrated and feeling bad about yourself. Allow quiet and slowness to lead the way.
At 1:31 PM EDT, the Moon enters mystical, poetic Pisces. If you could take today off from work and simply rest, that would be the best use of this day.
At 5:39 PM EDT, the dreamy Pisces Moon forms a sextile aspect to Uranus. You may finally be ready to engage with others and with the world in general. Your dreams and ideals may be sharp, brilliant, and unusual, leading you into fascinating, forward-thinking conversations.
Bring as many people as possible together to share in your new ideas and listen to the ideas they are willing to share as well. Enjoy the evening’s surprises.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspect made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) all morning until she enters Pisces at 1:31 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

LISTEN TO THE TREES SING
Tuesday, July 3, 2018:
Here, in the U.S, with tomorrow being our Independence Day, perhaps you were able to take today off as well. It seems a shame to waste such a sweet and dreamy day at a job unless of course, you are lucky enough (as I am) to do work you truly love.
The Moon is in Pisces throughout the day, forming a lovely Grand Trine with the sensitive Cancer Sun and Jupiter in powerful Scorpio. This configuration offers the opportunity to block out the parts of our lives that are overwhelmingly difficult and simply enjoy the sweetness that is also present in each day.
Go for a walk in nature and open your eyes and your heart to the natural world. Have you listened recently to the trees sing?

MAINTAIN EASE
Wednesday, July 4, 2018:
These first few days of the week are relatively easy ones. Clearly, that depends on how some of the heavier planets are impacting you directly. We certainly can’t forget that Mars (retrograde in Aquarius) will reach a state of considerable difficulty on Thursday. You may feel the energy of agitation building throughout Wednesday.

The Pisces Moon will help you go with the flow and perhaps even let challenges bypass you altogether. Thursday is soon enough to deal with what is poking at you! Does it feel like a pebble in your shoe that you can’t stop long enough to remove?
For now, spend the day with your rose-colored glasses firmly affixed.
Here in the U.S., this is a holiday, perhaps you are with family and friends. If you feel anger, impatience, or frustration building, take time for meditation or go ahead and have that extra glass of wine. Whatever it takes to help you to maintain ease.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspects made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) from 5:47 AM EDT until she enters Aries in the wee hours of Thursday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

SLOW DOWN
Thursday, July 5, 2018:
If you had Wednesday off from work for the July 4th holiday, it may actually be a relief to get back to your desk on Thursday. Thursday morning brings the assertive Aries Moon along with a hard aspect between Mercury and retrograde Mars. Find a way to release energy that will not come back to bite you.
You may feel angry and have a difficult time controlling your desire to speak your mind with little or no tact. Watch the words and the tone of what needs to be said. Perhaps, writing your thoughts (pause & think before hitting the ‘Send’ button) will help to organize your thinking and make clear what needs to be said.
There is a tendency to blurt out immediately what comes to mind. Hold on and wait or go for a run and release physical energy. That will help.
Remember, before you speak, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? If you follow this, very little will be said and you will get through the day with your relationships intact.

SEEK COURAGE
Friday, July 6, 2018:
Friday brings us to the 3rd Quarter Moon phase with the sensitive Cancer Sun being challenged by the aggressive Moon in Aries. Where are you feeling pulled to move forward with more courage than you feel you have? Where is your distrust of your own strength holding you back?
At 2:55 PM EDT, with the take-charge Aries Moon squaring powerful Pluto, you are given the opportunity or the expectation to dig deeply into hidden corners of your psyche. Find a level of courage you are not accustomed to working with. Take a step forward, face your fears, and let go of something that has been holding you in a position of victimhood. Freedom exists on the other side.

SLEEP OUTDOORS
Saturday, July 7, 2018:
Try to sleep until the Moon enters Taurus at 8:51 AM EDT on Saturday morning and approach the day with a perspective of slow, sensual awareness. Enjoy cuddling with your partner, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and a walk in nature.
When the Moon joins with Uranus at 12:46 PM EDT, you may have a new surprising awareness regarding your relationship or what the natural world has to teach you. Try to absorb this awareness without moving too quickly.
At 5:59 PM EDT, when the steady Taurus Moon trines Saturn, stabilize those ideas and consciously bring kindness to all in your circle of influence. Saturday provides a great evening for small, intimate gatherings or quiet time with a deeply loved partner. Given that it is a summer Saturday night, sleeping outdoors would be a lovely adventure.
The Aries Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspects made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) from 3:09 AM EDT until she enters Taurus at 8:51 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

COMPASSION, IMAGINATION, & LOVE
Sunday, July 8, 2018:
A lovely Sunday in the forecast and it’s perfect for a day for the beach, time in nature, or if the weather doesn’t cooperate, an afternoon matinee.
At 10:41 AM EDT, the Sun forms a flowing trine aspect to Neptune, allowing you an open-hearted and compassionate view of your life and circumstances.
In considering the full cycle of the Sun and Neptune, a cycle of dreamy, inspirational growth, think about what inspiration began in the first week of March of 2018 and also required attention in the first week of June. Now, the path opens allowing flow that will bring you to an open illumination and spiritual understanding in early September.
Follow the path of compassion, imagination, and love. You can smile internally as your understanding of oneness grows.

HOLD YOUR LOVED ONES CLOSE
Monday, December 4, 2017:
This week begins with the Moon in rational, talkative Gemini. With early morning positive aspects to excitable Uranus and impulsive Mars, you can anticipate an active day.
By early afternoon, the emotional Moon begins talking with both authoritative Saturn and logical Mercury, reminding you that it is your responsibility to deal with the hard wall that you have probably hit over the past few days.
Mercury just turned retrograde and joined with restrictive Saturn, just as Saturn is about to make a major move into rigid, serious Capricorn on December 20th. Our lives

are about to get serious in a whole new way. Each of us will need to look clearly at our own issues of responsibility, maturity, and duty.  The heavy hand of reality is demanding its due over the coming months. The best thing for each of us is to take responsibility for our actions and approach each situation and circumstance in our lives with the very highest integrity even as we keep our hearts open to love.
At 3:36 PM EST, with the Moon entering Cancer, there can be a tendency to feel the need to protect oneself. Vulnerability can be scary. Don’t let it stop you from opening your heart and holding your loved ones and your family close.
The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:12 PM EST until she enters Cancer at 3:36 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SWEETNESS GIVES WAY TO POWER DYNAMICS
Tuesday, December 5, 2017:
Tuesday brings powerful connections allowing deep emotional states of expanded awareness. In the morning hours, the sensitive Cancer Moon forms a lovely, flowing Grand Water Trine to dreamy Neptune (in Pisces) and expansive Jupiter (in Scorpio).  You may step into the day with big, dreamy emotions. Allow love and connection, nurturing and kindness to rule the day.
Either go to bed early or pay careful attention to the power dynamics within your family to avoid the struggles that may crop up as the moody Cancer Moon opposes subversive Pluto at 8:06 PM EST.
The sweetness of the early part of the day will be difficult to hold onto.

EXPLORE FUTURE SELF-DETERMINATION
Wednesday, December 6, 2017:

Untitled by Caspar Wolf via Wiki Media

Wednesday begins with your attention clearly directed to the challenging wall that seems to stand in the way between you and what you are seeking to accomplish. Do not try to tear that wall down or scrape your knees trying to climb over it. Take the Universe’s direction to slow down.
Remember, Mercury is retrograde until December 22nd and Saturn is about to enter serious, authoritative Capricorn. You must take full responsibility, speak directly with integrity, and accept the fact that this particular wall cannot be scaled at this time.
A “No” today is not a “No” forever. Something needs to be learned or improved before you can move forward. Settle into the acceptance of reality.
At 3:37 PM EST, the Moon enters expressive Leo, moving you to release the sensitivity of the past few days. Work on being expressive without overdramatizing the issues you are dealing with.
At 4:20 PM EST, impulsive Mars forms a supportive sextile aspect to level-headed Saturn. The cycle between Mars and Saturn began in August of 2016 and is a cycle of stabilizing your assertive or sexual energies. What began in this vein at that time? Now, you will want to begin exploring ways to release that cycle in order to start a new level of stabilizing energy and sexuality in April of 2018. Begin to explore ways you may want to reestablish self-determination, independence, and sexuality.
The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:55 PM EST until she enters Leo at 3:37 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SEEK PLEASURE AND JOY
Thursday, December 7, 2017:
Thursday and Friday look like the best days in an overall challenging week. Obviously, we are still being impacted by Mercury’s retrograde motion impacting Mercury’s rocky relationship with Saturn. However, on Thursday and Friday, try to take any challenges with a grain of salt.
With the Moon in Leo, you can treat yourself to expressive creative pursuits and make fun and joy a priority. If there are children in your life, take a page from their playbook! Get in touch with playful pleasures.
Don’t hold back, express boldness as you seek simple joy. Engage in the love and romance, showing large bold gestures of passion and play. Take yourself to a show or better yet, go dancing. Enjoy the hell out of this day. You need it.

SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND KINDNESS
Friday, December 8, 2017:
Friday brings us to another day of focus on creativity, pleasure, and fun. The vital Leo Moon makes lovely aspects to eccentric Uranus, communicative Mercury, level-headed Saturn, and assertive Mars. This brings excitement, conversations, stabilization, and initiative to your generosity and creativity. Think about what you can do with that! 🙂
At 6:09 PM EST, the Moon leaves flashy Leo behind to enter meticulous Virgo, bringing your attention to issues of dedication, service and kindness toward others. Early in the day, it may seem a good idea to gather with friends for a night on the town. However, by the time Friday evening comes around, you are unlikely to be in the mood to do so.
This would be a better evening to cook a healthy meal for friends who needs support. You are able to offer a level of practical kindness, words of encouragement, and down to earth coaching. The exciting night-on-the-town will have to wait.
The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:41 PM EST until she enters Virgo at 6:09 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

RELEASE ALL VESTIGES OF SHAME
Saturday, December 9, 2017:
Friday is a significant day as Mars leaves the cooperative sign of Libra (3:59 AM EST) behind to enter the intensely transformative sign of Scorpio. Mars, the planet of assertiveness, aggression, and directive sexuality, has been in Libra since October 22nd.
Keep your eye on how the #MeToo issue continues to unfold in personal lives and in the culture at large. The interest in compromise loses its roots as Mars goes directly for passion, desire, and its brand of truth.
With Jupiter also advancing through Scorpio, this story continues forward even as it morphs and changes. If you have a #MeToo story… take the time to tell it, if only to yourself. It does not need to be a public telling but give that story the light of day within your own heart. Shed any shame you have carried as it is so abundantly clear that you are in good company as nearly all women share such a story.
The Moon is in Virgo throughout the day allowing for a Saturday perfect for catching up on chores and home puttering. My favorite!

UNEXPECTED NEWS
Sunday, December 10, 2017:
As the Moon moves through Virgo, she reaches her Last Quarter phase, imbuing us with restlessness and the need for change.
On a lighter note, Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, forms a flowing trine aspect to progressive Uranus. This may bring sudden epiphanies along with exciting and unexpected news. Pay attention to strokes of genius that seem ‘out of the blue’. Do keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde; set those new, innovative ideas aside to be put into action at the start of 2018.
At 8:47 AM EST, Venus, the planet of love and beauty, forms a challenging square aspect to imaginative Neptune, bringing a push toward inspiration for visionaries and artists.
Any difficulties that arise later in the day have their roots in the past rather than in current time. Don’t jump to conclusions or make judgments on the behaviors of those around you, you are likely missing a crucial piece of the puzzle.
You will be best served by sticking close to home working on the development of orderly and meticulous routines. A great day to make that gingerbread house. 🙂
A restless Last Quarter Virgo Moon can rob some folks of a good night’s sleep. Mixed messages from the heavens continue into the morning.
On a brighter note, Mercury’s trine to Uranus may be a stunning source of enlightenment, or a stroke of genius. Venus’ square to Neptune inspires artists, spiritualists, and other visionaries but it can also be a harbinger of heartache. After noon and long into the night, the Moon faces challenging alignments with retrograde Mercury and Saturn. Disturbing issues may reflect the past rather than the present. Fears and worries can be exaggerated. Contemplation is rewarded with fresh understanding of long-ago happenings. Be sure to think twice before making a judgment or reaching conclusions.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:03 PM EST until midnight when she enters Libra. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde:

The big news of the week comes on Sunday, December 3rd at 2:43 AM EST, when Mercury turns retrograde at 29° Sagittarius.

“La Petra Camara” by Théodore Chassériau

Take time to prepare for the upcoming three weeks. Mercury will turn direct once again on December 22nd. If you have followed my writing over the years, you are familiar with the best ways to work with Mercury retrograde.

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!
  2. Get a notebook and a pen. Make a list of everything that you have begun but haven’t completed in the past few months.
  3. During the retrograde, get to work! Accomplish what is on this list and only what is on this list.
  4. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, or take on new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs.

Mercury retrograde brings us a great gift, the perfect opportunity to wrap up loose ends!

“There is no measuring with time, no year matters, and 10 years are nothing. Being an artist means, not reckoning and counting, but ripening like the tree which does not force it sap and stands confident in the storms of Spring without the fear that after them may come no Summer. It does come. But it comes only to the patient, who are there as though eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly still and wide. I learn it daily, learn it with pain to which I am grateful: patience is everything!”

THE UNDERPINNINGS OF MAGIC
Monday, November 27, 2017:
In the very early morning hours of Monday, the poetic Pisces Moon joins fanciful Neptune and we start the week in a bit of a dreamy fog. Perhaps, you are just coming back from a long weekend and really would prefer to keep your head under the pillows and sleep the day away.
However, your deeper awareness understands that things are about to get serious as Tuesday’s conjunction of perceptive Mercury to hard-working Saturn can be felt throughout the day. Mercury is moving slowly, as the planet of our thoughts prepares to turn retrograde (December 3 – December 22).
A great use for these energies would be to work on the serious goals you are considering in a free-flowing manner; don’t get into the details, develop the dream!
Prepare an intention statement for your life, work, family, and relationships.
Make sure that you have begun anything you want to work on between now and the end of the year so that projects don’t get stalled during Mercury retrograde.
Do serious work with imagination and understanding of divine magic. All that you are able to accomplish has the underpinnings of magic!

SERIOUS THINKING – SERIOUS CONVERSATION
Tuesday, November 28, 2017:
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Mercury and Saturn join together as they begin a new cycle of bringing your attention to conversations, effort, and work that is required.
Once Mercury goes retrograde on Sunday of this week, we will encounter this same aspect on December 6th and again on January 13, 2018. This allows us time to contemplate the serious intent involved. Currently, both planets are in the last degrees of Sagittarius and are asking that we look at very significant issues from the perspective of our highest understanding.
When they join together in January, they’ll be in the early degrees of Capricorn and asking that we go to a deeper place of integrity and responsibility!
For now, consider a serious conversation that must begin; it will be ongoing and will circle back around over the coming months. You can only sweep it under the rug for so long. There is no reason to wait or to fear the outcome.
As Saturn enters Capricorn on December 20th, you will be called to stabilize your thinking, get clear on your direction in work, growth, and your greater understanding of yourself and the world.
At 11:31 PM EST, the Moon leaves dreamy Pisces behind and enters fiercely assertive Aries. It is time to set aside any dreaminess, wistfulness, or escapism; it is time to push forward, to take action with courage and assertiveness.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:08 AM EST until she enters Aries at 11:31 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
This is a day best suited to working on your own. If you must work within the context of a group, there can be some challenges in determining who the leader is and who the follower is, as someone is going to want to be the boss!

CLARITY AND CONFIDENCE
Wednesday, November 29, 2017:
Wednesday brings with it free-flowing, fully engaged energies as the feisty Aries Moon forms a lovely trine aspect to the idealistic Sagittarius Sun. If you have planets between 6° – 8° of the Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius), this will be a very affirmative and expressive day for you. Emotions and intentions are positively aligned, following the same path with joy and determination.
You are probably best off working on your own with the Moon in impatient, independent Aries, although early in the day, it will be easier to take others into consideration.
Wednesday evening brings the aggressive Aries Moon to a direct, challenging square aspect with powerful Pluto. This suggests the possibility of difficult power dynamics or underhanded tactics. Given that this occurs at 6:54 PM EST, it may be wise to spend the evening alone or allow a lot of space and independence to all concerned.
Allow clarity and confidence to embrace you as this courageous Aries Moon grows toward a clever and inquisitive Gemini Full Moon on Sunday.

LET KIND WORDS END THE DAY
Thursday, November 30, 2017:
With the Moon in Aries, you may find yourself quick to act with courage or anger. You may notice a desire to take risks that normally would not appeal to you.
Early on Thursday morning, the Moon makes aspects to both dynamic Mars and eccentric Uranus. You tend to be focused on yourself and may be impatient with others and easily angered; unfortunately, they are probably feeling the same way. It will be a good morning to keep your thoughts to yourself or at least to think through them carefully before opening your mouth.
At 11:49 AM EST, when the Moon forms a lovely, supportive trine aspect to Saturn, and, shortly thereafter, to Mercury, you will relax and have more awareness of the significance of timing and the feelings of others.
At 3:39 PM EST, the Moon enters Taurus, bringing a steadfast calm to our emotional environment. If you acted without forethought earlier in the day or over the past few days, it will be painfully apparent. You can repair any damage done with levelheaded stability and heartfelt, kind words.
The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:38 PM EST until she enters Taurus at 3:39 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LOVE AND TENSION
Friday, December 1, 2017:
Early on Friday morning, Venus enters freedom-loving Sagittarius. Venus is the planet that represents our deepest values. It represents our love relationships, our relationship to money, resources, and all things of beauty. Venus takes approximately one year to move through all the signs of the zodiac. On her path through the signs, she brings our awareness to the beauty of each sign.
On November 7th, Venus entered Scorpio. What have you learned in these past three weeks about the depth of love and beauty? Have you encountered lessons about how love transforms us, about passion, introspection, and depth?
Now, as Venus moves into Sagittarius, the lessons of love take a lighter turn. It is time to think of love, money, and beauty as a philosophical quest. This is a time to gain understanding even as you seek freedom and idealism in the arms of love.
Venus will remain in Sagittarius until December 25th, when she enters Capricorn to  help us with lessons of integrity and responsibility.
Another highly significant occurrence on Friday is the opposition from dynamic action-taking Mars to revolutionary Uranus. The cycle between Mars and Uranus is approximately a two year cycle of bringing courage and direct action to the unsettling humanitarian needs of our lives and our times.
This cycle began in late February of 2017. Consider carefully what began at that time. Looking back, what is the clarity of your vision, where have your actions brought you now? Consider what changes must be made to bring your understanding of the need for revolutionary action to take place in your own life or in how you support it in the world.
If you have planets or points between 23 and 27 degrees of Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn), this will have direct significance in your personal life. Please share your thoughts! I would love to hear your experiences with this.
The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:53 PM EST until she enters Gemini at 4:20 PM EST on Saturday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DEEPEN COMPASSION
Saturday, December 2, 2017:
Saturday brings with it a talkative, enthusiastic Gemini Moon. This bodes well for a social day full of conversations, curiosity, and mental stimulation. A day of rest is not in the cards, you will get that on Sunday. You will feel best with lots of interaction; without it you may end up restless and irritable. Plan for social time with friends and acquaintances.
On Saturday evening, at 9:19 PM EST, expansive Jupiter forms a lovely, flowing trine to dreamy Neptune. This is a major planetary aspect that will occur three times between now and August of 2018. This transit brings with it a sense of hope and an interest in undertaking or deepening a spiritual quest for truth. You will be called over the coming months to seek deeper wisdom and clarity through poetry, music, dreams, visions, meditation, and mystical communion.
Compassion deepens as you see your profound connection to the poor, sick, and suffering of humanity. You may open to the possibility of following your dreams with less need to control the outcome as you are more inclined to trust your intuition. Love and romance may also open a path to higher understanding and compassion. Seek an authentic manner that you can bring love to the suffering of the world. Find a way to be of service to those in need.
The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) all day until she enters Gemini at 4:20 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

GEMINI FULL MOON – MERCURY TURNS RETROGRADE
Sunday, December 3, 2017:
Three significant events occur on Sunday:

  • By the time you wake up, Mercury has turned retrograde at 29° Sagittarius.
  • At 10:47 AM EST, we come to the Full Moon at 11° Gemini. Remember, the Full Moon brings full illumination to what occurred at the Scorpio New Moon on November 18th. Whatever your focus or whatever you began at the New Moon will show its results with clarity now.
  • At 6:43 AM EST, the Sun squares Neptune, possibly creating a challenge in motivation and enthusiasm. You may feel some confusion and disappointment and your vitality may feel weakened. Allow yourself to rest, watch movies, and expect nothing. Self-care is the most important aspect of your day.

Take time to prepare for the upcoming three weeks until Mercury turns direct once again on December 22nd at 13° Sagittarius. If you have followed my writing over the years, you’re familiar with the best ways to work with Mercury’s retrograde periods.
Here is your reminder:
4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde:

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

UPBEAT (FOR THE MOST PART) START TO THE DAY
Monday, November 20, 2017:
The Moon is in Sagittarius throughout Monday, offering a generally upbeat and lighthearted start to the week.
Keep in mind that the sign the Moon is traveling through on any given day sets the emotional tone for the day. The aspects the Moon makes to other planets brings us face to face with the energy of those planets in a way that is represented by the aspect in question, some supportive and others challenging.
If you wake up very early, the optimistic Sagittarius Moon may be quite talkative, as she meets up with perceptive chatty Mercury at 5:37 AM EST.
Mid-afternoon, the Moon connects with Chiron (the planet that represents a deep felt wound) in Pisces. This suggests a challenge between your opinions and the reality of your circumstance.
At 4:44 PM EST, she forms a beautiful flowing trine to Uranus. You can expect excitement or possibly stress, something that amps up the conversation and the day.
At 7:27 PM EST, she makes her final aspect of the day, joining with Saturn at 26° Sagittarius. You may feel let down or in some manner restricted, sad or lonely. Allow yourself to settle in and look clearly at the reality of the situation. It is not so bad and will pass quickly if you don’t get pulled into any dramas.  Please go out of your way to be extra kind to yourself and those around you on Monday evening.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:27 PM EST until she enters Capricorn on Tuesday morning at 2:14 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS SAGITTARIUS – SEEK HIGHER UNDERSTANDING
Tuesday, November 21, 2017:
The big news on Tuesday comes at 10:04 PM EST. when the Sun, following her long haul through the deep, passionate waters of Scorpio, now enters fun-loving, explorative Sagittarius! Over the coming month, we reach out to understand and see the bigger picture and the perspective of others.
The emotional environment of the day turns serious as the Moon enters hard-working and realistic Capricorn at 2:14 AM EST.
Take time on Tuesday to think back to your situation and circumstances in late November of 2016. At that time, a cycle began that has been profoundly transforming your personal values, resources, or a love relationship. Do you remember something specific beginning at that time?
Since then, the cycle between Venus and Pluto has proceeded forward as the energy between these two grew, the transformation began, culminated, and is now waning. Whatever began at that time came to full fruition in mid-August, 2017. Now, we come to a closing sextile aspect between them.
Graceful Venus and powerful Pluto now offer you the opportunity to begin actively planning for the new cycle that will begin in early January of 2018. This does not mean that what began last year will actually end (although that is a possibility, if it is necessary for your ultimate growth), it will, however, begin a new phase or a new level to your love relationship or your relationship to your resources or values.
Begin now to plan for the future you want. This extends and empowers the cycle between Jupiter and Venus that began last week.
Where do you plan to create more beauty and love in your life?

MOVE THE DREAM AHEAD
Wednesday, November 22, 2017:

Metamorphosis by Piet Mondrian via Wiki Media

The sometimes pessimistic Capricorn Moon forms a deeply challenging connection with the occasionally destructive Pluto. Watch any tendencies to engage in coercive power dynamics with others. With the Moon in Capricorn, the way to transform any dark edges of your heart is through disciplined responsibility and integrity.
On Wednesday, at 9:20 AM EST, Neptune stations to turn direct at 11° Pisces. Neptune has been moving retrograde since mid-June, and has been asking you to reevaluate an important dream, artistic venture, or spiritual path.
Consider a significant dream in your heart that has been on hold since that time. Over the coming days, this dream will come back to life and begin pushing forward.
For clues to what area of your life is being activated in this way, consider where Pisces falls in your chart. If you don’t know, allow your intuition to guide you.
Simply contemplate a dream you set aside in June that is now ready to move forward. Begin the process!

QUIRKY INNOVATIONS
Thursday, November 23, 2017:
In the early morning hours of Thursday, the serious Capricorn Moon engages in a stressful conversation with Uranus, the planet of upheaval, excitement, and, sometimes, stress. Don’t get wrapped up in any of it, allow stress to roll off your back. It will pass quickly.
At 3:15 PM EST, the Moon leaves hard-working Capricorn behind to enter innovative, humanitarian Aquarius. You may notice that you are not as attached to your own emotions and are able to be more objective regarding situations and circumstances you find yourself in. You are able to see the big picture without getting stuck in your own personal narrative.
At 7:05 PM EST, the quirky Aquarius Moon forms a lovely sextile aspect to the adventurous Sagittarius Sun opening the evening to the prospect of visionary explorations of people, cultures, and events.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:33 AM EST until she enters the Aquarius at 3:15 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CLARITY IS OF VITAL IMPORTANCE
Friday, November 24, 2017:
I don’t generally talk about asteroids, minor planets, or comets, but with Friday’s early morning challenging square aspect from Mercury, the planet of our thoughts and communications, to Chiron, who represents our deep wounds and the healing of those wounds, this transit is worthy of our attention.
Chiron was originally labeled an asteroid and is now classified as a minor planet and a comet. With Thursday’s pattern between Chiron and Mercury in play, communications could hurt or heal; pay attention to your words. Check to make sure you are not misunderstanding others or being misunderstood. It may be difficult to read the intentions behind what is being said, clarity is vitally important.
With the Moon in Aquarius throughout the day, you are apt to be drawn toward what is new and unusual. You have the ability to be a bit more objective or even detached than usual. Spend time with others, plan for a future that includes the growth and importance of community, social gatherings and interactions.
You will require more freedom than usual, don’t try to keep yourself in anyone else’s boxes!

HUMANITARIAN VISIONING
Saturday, November 25, 2017:
Saturday is an incredibly Aquarian day! Not only is the Moon in Aquarius, but she is very active, forming connections with aggressive Mars, refined Venus, out-of-the-ordinary Uranus, mental Mercury, and stabilizing Saturn.
More importantly, Mercury is forming a lovely flowing trine aspects to Uranus (the ruling planet of Aquarius)! Aquarian energies abound.
What are Aquarius’ energies, you ask? Here is a simple list of keywords to consider: progressive, objective, innovative, unusual, revolutionary, and quirky. Days of hyper Aquarian energy tend to bring excitement, anxiety, or a combination of these, to the table.
This is an important day to gather with like-minded others to plan and prepare for a future that supports all of us. This is a day for humanitarian visioning. You are able to see beyond your personal needs and desires and see what is necessary for the good of all. Make a substantial donation (whatever that means in your current circumstances) to a cause that you deeply believe in.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:36 PM EST until she enters Pisces on Sunday morning at 3:04 AM EST.
Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DREAM YOUR FUTURE
Sunday, November 26, 2017:
Long before you wake up on Sunday morning, the Moon leaves quirky, social Aquarius behind and enters Pisces. At 12:03 PM EST, the Pisces Moon forms a challenging square aspect to the Sagittarius Sun. This brings us to the First Quarter Square of the Lunar Cycle.
Consider what you began at the powerful Scorpio New Moon on Saturday, November 18th. It is important now to take some action that will push forward the growth of whatever idea or project you began at the New Moon.
This is a day to take action, to move something forward in the development of your future.
With the Moon in dreamy Pisces, you have the creative option of developing your plans through the visioning of the future. Reality may not seem very appealing but your imagination and intuition are strong. A perfect day for developing a vision board or a creative writing project that will support the process of creating your future reality.
Your feeling nature is deep; dream your future into being.
