Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather September 17, 2018 through September 23, 2018

The most significant happening of the upcoming week is the third and final difficult square aspect between aggressive Mars and revolutionary Uranus.
This energy invokes images of intense hurricanes, typhoons, and gas explosions. Yikes, sound familiar?
When Mars and Uranus connect, the energies are unexpected, shocking, and over-the-top. You may experience this as extreme anxiety or excitement.
Pay attention to where you are experiencing your own version of a typhoon or hopefully some less destructive sudden change. Stay awake and aware. Pay careful attention to how you respond to the shifts that occur without warning.

GOALS AND AMBITIONS
Monday, September 17, 2018:
With the Moon entering Capricorn at 7:08 AM EDT, and joining with Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) at 12:25 PM EDT, this is not a day to pursue trivial issues. Monday is a day to work hard on your personal goals and ambitions.
Take your work and what you want to accomplish seriously. Your life has consequences and you have important goals to set and things to successfully complete. Monday is not a day for daydreams or lack of focus.
If you have been drifting or wasting your abilities, now is the time to get clarity on what actions are necessary to change your course. You can make a decision now. One simple step can start a new path.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* until she enters Capricorn at 7:08 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

HECTIC INTENSIFICATION
Tuesday, September 18, 2018:
Tuesday brings us to the peak of the challenging square between Mars and Uranus. Keep your eyes open and accept what arrives; do not fight against any change you encounter, no matter how sudden or unexpected.
Mars represents aggression, action, and the power of will. Uranus represents defiance, intensification, and revolution. Look in your own chart to the houses that hold Aquarius and Taurus. Those are the areas of life that will likely require acceptance as you deal with intense anxiety or possibly excitement.
The powerful arena of news, politics, and weather is certainly ripe for this dramatic energy. Watch as these issues continue to shift and change with unusual speed and intensity.
The Moon continues through authoritative, hard-working Capricorn. This will help you to maintain maturity and a focus on reality in the midst a potentially hectic day.

WELCOME OBJECTIVITY WEDNESDAY EVENING
Wednesday, September 19, 2018:
Here mid-week, the Moon remains in Capricorn until late evening. When the Moon is in Capricorn, it is important to exercise maturity, caution, and responsibility in all your interactions. Early in the day, the Moon forms a soothing trine to the Sun and Mercury (both in efficient, analytical Virgo).
At 7:52 PM EDT, the Moon enters Aquarius and you can breathe a sigh of relief as your perspective moves toward objectivity.
Allow for wild, innovative thinking in the hours before sleep; seek insights, genius ideas, and a humanitarian perspective. Your emotions will not get in the way as you will be able to set them aside and view your life from a more detached viewpoint. You are more interested in the plight of humanity than in your own, sometimes bothersome, emotional state.

Wednesday may turn out to be the most productive day of the week. Stick with ongoing projects in the afternoon as you don’t want to start anything new with the Moon VOC after 1:10 PM EDT.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* from 1:10 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 7:52 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LISTEN TO DEVELOP UNDERSTANDING
Thursday, September 20, 2018:
The Moon is in innovative, unconventional Aquarius all day on Thursday. Seek out people you don’t generally engage with. It is easy to spend our lives with people who think, look, and vote just as we do. Seek to do it differently.
Take time to deeply listen and make an effort to understand others; this will help you clarify your own values and views. Seek out people of a different race, sexuality, gender identification, age group, nationality, political affiliation (yes, even that). Listen. We are all human and we all have valid reasons for our proclivities. Widen your interest, look to a more expansive or humanitarian perspective. Love all.
Mercury joins with the Sun (9:51 PM EDT) bringing a great need to communicate. Include others in your awareness, do not get stuck in self-concern, and involved only with your own interests. Share your words with an open understanding and mind. Maintain a logical mind; seek clarity. Listen.

COOPERATION BUILDS OVER THE COMING DAYS
Friday, September 21, 2018:
The Moon remains in Aquarius on Friday offering you an objective view of your situation and the folks around you. This should be an easy day to allow your most unique expression to emerge.
You may feel a need for freedom from people or situations that in any way restrict your individuality. This will change moving forward as Mercury and the Sun move into Libra.
Enjoy where you are at now, as this is a day to spend with your most unusual friends or the folks in your social circle who stretch you intellectually. Your interests are less focused on yourself and your closest loved ones as you are more interested in what is happening collectively in the larger world. When the Moon is in Aquarius, it is easier to open your mind to new ways of viewing the world.
Enjoy time with others, engage in intellectual conversations about the state of the world, consider what you can do, with the support of like-minded others, to help alleviate suffering in the world.
Mercury leaves perfectionistic Virgo and enters cooperative Libra at 11:39 PM EDT, and the Sun will follow the Moon into Libra on Saturday. Mercury represents our thinking and communications. We may notice that we are more interested in the coming weeks in cooperation and the creation of harmonious connections.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* from 1:14 PM EDT until she enters Pisces at 8:27 AM EDT on Saturday. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS LIBRA AT THE AUTUMNAL EQUINOX
Saturday, September 22, 2018
Saturday’s Pisces Moon will help you go with the flow, allowing you to rest in the exploration of the softer, more sensitive side of yourself. Utilize Pisces’ watery spaciousness to move you with music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual contemplations; use your imagination and take the opportunity to dream.
Saturday, September 22nd marks the Autumnal Equinox (also called the September or Fall Equinox). This is the astronomical start of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and the Vernal Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Sun enters Libra at 9:54 PM EDT, the moment of the Autumnal Equinox. At the Equinox, the Sun crosses the celestial equator. In the coming days, you will notice (in the Northern Hemisphere) a strong shift as the nights get longer and the days shorter.
Remember, that as the Sun enters each Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), the seasons change.
Moving into the colder season we become more aware of the significance of partnerships, and the importance of creating cooperative, harmonious relationships. These considerations will occupy you a great deal over the coming weeks.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* until she enters Pisces at 8:27 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

EFFORT – ACTION – REST
Sunday, September 23, 2018:
Mercury, now in Libra, encounters a challenging conversation with authoritative Saturn early on Sunday afternoon. There may be misunderstandings between you and a loved one. Don’t jump to conclusions; ask questions, listen and allow patience and understanding to grow. It may take time and effort but will be well worth it.
By evening, as a trine forms between Mercury and Mars, you are able to communicate effectively and take action on your new understanding. This is a day to embark on a planned action to resolve communication issues in your most significant relationships. You can move your partnership or friendship in a more positive direction with sincere willingness and effort.
The Moon continues through Pisces, a Mutable Water sign offering passive, adaptable, and deeply emotional energies. Sunday will be a good day for meditation, spending time on water, allowing yourself to be engrossed in imagination, watching movies, or making music. Enjoy rest and sweetness along with the relationship and communication work of this day.

EXPRESS GRATITUDE FREELY
Monday, September 3, 2018:
Getting yourself into the groove of work may be easier than is often the case on a Monday morning. The week begins with the Moon in lighthearted, talkative Gemini Moon.
At 8:58 AM EDT, Mercury (ruler of Gemini) forms a positive sextile aspect to Venus, the planet that represents love, all that we find beautiful, and what we deeply value.  Begin the day with acknowledgment toward those whose support you in your life. Make a special call to a friend simply to express gratitude. You will be amazed at how your mood is buoyed and the whole week will develop a positive tone. Go inward, find and express gratitude to everyone you encounter. Yes, even the teenager bagging your groceries or the barista at your local coffee shop.
All forms of positive self-expression and communication is supported and will create ripple effects of self confidence into the rest of the week.

WARM LOVING SECURITY
Tuesday, September 4, 2018:
The Moon enters sensitive, family oriented Cancer at 8:03 AM EDT and most of you are likely spending the day with coworkers rather than family or loved ones. If you have challenging relationships at your place of work, keep in mind that even the crankiest person there is someone’s child and loved one.
At 12:22 PM EDT, with an opposition from the Moon to Saturn, it is likely that someone will get their feelings hurt. This could be expressed in tears or anger. Be a soothing influence and understand that Moon transits pass very quickly if we don’t hold on to them.
This may be a good day to bring cookies or a good healthy salad to share with your coworkers. When the work day is done, get home and plan a loving domestic evening. Encourage your partner and children to help prepare a delicious meal. Eat together even if you rarely do so. The Cancer Moon seeks to create a warm and loving environment that feels secure, make space for that today.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* from 2:38 AM EDT until she enters Cancer at 8:03 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

BRING YOUR MIND INTO FOCUS
Wednesday, September 5, 2018:

Весенняя_аллея via Wiki Media

On Wednesday, the Moon continues through intuitive, inward Cancer, she is also waning with each passing day as she moves toward the New Moon at the end of the week. It is good to be gentle with others and with yourself as you are more touchy than usual as the Moon losses light.
At 10:38 PM EDT, Mercury, the planet that represents your busy mind, thought processes, and communications finally follows the Sun into Virgo. The mind is ready to move beyond the heat of Leo and into the analytical world of Virgo.
You will notice that your ability to do detailed, meticulous, and efficient work is greatly increased. Your mind is now able to slow down and pay attention with humility and precision to what you choose to focus on. This is a good time to bring your attention to an intellectual project that you haven’t been able to focus on since before Mercury was retrograde last month.
Mercury will remain in Virgo until September 21st. Take advantage of this for all productive and analytical work.

MOVING SLOWLY FORWARD WITH RELIEF
Thursday, September 6, 2018:
Thursday morning brings our attention to Saturn who has been retrograde since mid-April. Saturn is a great teacher, insisting that we take our responsibilities seriously and work on long term goals. Saturn brings attention to restrictions and the reality of the lives we have created.
What house in your chart holds Capricorn? The restriction and cynicism in that area of your life can now slowly begin to move forward. Now, you can once again begin the process of steady forward motion. You may feel that much of the hard work of the past 4 ½ months is about to pay off.  You may also feel an internal sigh of relief.
At 9:55 AM EDT, the Moon enters Leo, releasing us from the intense sensitivity of the past few days. You may find yourself wanting to take a creative risk, to allow others to see a part of yourself that you normally keep under wraps. Allow your most sparkly, childlike side to shine through. You may be surprised at how good it feels to simply relax into fun and play. If you have children in your life, get down on the floor or out in the yard and play like puppies.

The Cancer Moon is VOC* from 8:43 AM EDT until she enters Leo at 9:55 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

INNOVATION, DREAMS, & EXPRESSION
Friday, September 7, 2018:
Friday offers an unusual day to bring forth your most innovative plans and ideas.  Your thinking is solid and mature and yet you are able to engage ideas that on first glance may seem anything but practical or level-headed. A configuration called a Grand Trine in stable Earth signs is in play this week (peaking on Friday) between Mercury (thoughts), Saturn (stability), and Uranus (innovation).
Allow yourself to explore new ideas with the intention of bringing them into reality. You can expect to be surprised by the positive response you get when you are vulnerable with unique ideas and plans. Share your ideas and listen to what others are thinking. Prepare to be surprised.
However, with an opposition between the Sun and Neptune during the afternoon, things may not be as clear as you wish. Hold onto your excitement for now and spend some time in lazy daydreams. Allow space within the day for the Leo Moon to express playfulness and joy.

STRESS OR PASSION
Saturday, September 8, 2018:
You may wake on this Saturday morning thinking about a fun social day, but the day may have ideas of its own when the Moon leaves Leo behind to enter tidy, meticulous Virgo. Settle in and get comfortable with more practical activities. You may want to do the grocery shopping, laundry, and house cleaning instead.
If the interest in socializing persists, perhaps you could plan a lovely, perfectly presented dinner for friends. Be aware of the tendency to over analyze everything you do. You may have a hard time allowing ‘good-enough’ to be good enough. Don’t let perfectionism stop progress. Work on projects and issues that will benefit from paying particular attention to details.
Mid-afternoon, Venus forms a challenging square to Mars. This could reflect renewed passion in an intimate relationship. However, if your relationship is suffering in significant ways, it may suggest a time of powerful stress between the two of you. This will be in effect throughout the evening and possibly into Sunday morning. Given the option of stress or passion, I suggest you move the dial to PASSION.

The Leo Moon is VOC* from 9:31 AM EDT until she enters Virgo at 10:29 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

PLANT A SEED; PLAN YOUR FUTURE
Sunday, September 9, 2018:
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Venus, the planet that represents our understanding of love and our deepest values, moves into the deep, emotional waters of Scorpio. This will likely transport your heart into buried intensity regarding love or finances. Because Venus will be turning retrograde in the coming months, she will remain in Scorpio until early January 2019 (with a brief dip back into Libra in November).
Sunday afternoon at 2:02 PM EDT brings us to the Virgo New Moon. This is a time to plant a seed of pure practicality. Even with a quickly passing opposition to Neptune, we are not sowing fantasies here. Currently, there are 7 planets in Earth signs (wow), with many of them involved with an Earth Grand trine creating a free unhinged flow of practical energies to create a solid future.
Keep your responsibilities in mind in all that you do. Consider how your need, actions, and conversations are creating the future that you hope for.
It is also significant to consider that along with so many planets in reliable predictable Earth Signs, all the personal & bridge planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) are moving in forward, direct motion.
Do what is practical and keeps you connected to the Earth and your deepest values. Make plans for the future. Your New Moon ritual will be best performed on Monday. It is good to give the Moon a chance to pull away from the exact conjunction, giving it space to breath.

The New Moon is on Sunday afternoon… do your ritual on Monday!
~~New Moon Ritual ~~
Take a moment to write down the changes you wish to begin, create, or increase in the upcoming Moon Cycle.
Have two candles available; light a candle to represent yourself, as you are at the moment. Light another candle as an aspiration of what you intend to create. Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle, then light the second candle, and focus on drawing to you what you want to create, bring the two candles closer together.
Do this each day until at the Full Moon, you will bring them fully together and acknowledge the result of what you have created.
The Virgo New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of practicality, humility, and dedication. What project or idea are you ready to dedicate yourself to for the good of all?

“There is no measuring with time, no year matters, and 10 years are nothing. Being an artist means, not reckoning and counting, but ripening like the tree which does not force it sap and stands confident in the storms of spring without the fear that after them may come no summer. It does come. But it comes only to the patient, who are there as though eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly still and wide. I learn it daily, learn it with pain to which I am grateful: patience is everything!”    ~ Rainer Maria Rilke

BEGIN THE PLAN
Monday, October 16, 2017:
This week begins on a much easier note than last week; thank goodness!
The Moon is in precise, efficient Virgo providing the ability for you to pay careful attention to the details, buckle down, and accomplish what needs to be done.
At 7:13 AM EDT, as you begin the day, the diplomatic Libra Sun forms a charming sextile aspect to hard-working Saturn. This is a good time to explore how you want to work with a new cycle of stabilization that will begin in late December when the Sun and Saturn conjunct at zero degrees Capricorn. Look at where zero degrees Capricorn falls in your chart; the house placement will tell you what area of life requires a major, meaningful new beginning.
Explore new ideas, get serious about this; begin to gather your thoughts about a very important, new endeavor to start in late December. As Saturn leaves Sagittarius behind to enter Capricorn, we will all begin to be engaged on more serious projects. Begin your preparation for that now.

THE MIND DEEPENS
Tuesday, October 17, 2017:
When you wake up on Tuesday morning, you may notice the quality of your mind has shifted to a very different state. While you slept, Mercury left Libra behind to enter Scorpio. While in Libra, your thinking and conversations have been focused on making things look good and maintaining, at least, the image of refinement and charm. Remember that Mercury represents the way you think, what you think about, and how you communicate and share information.
At 3:58 AM EDT, Mercury entered the still, deep, dark waters of Scorpio. While Mercury is in Scorpio (until November 5th), observe your mind as it becomes determined to search out what is hidden and goes deeply into private and introspective considerations.
Those who have undisclosed secrets can find themselves in a rough spot as those hidden issues may be revealed at this time.
At 1:34 PM EDT, the Moon enters lovely, polite Libra. Perhaps, you are not quite ready to go into those deep Scorpionic places yet or to bring them into the conversation. For the time being, you can allow your mind to go deep even as your heart remains discreet… there will be time to open to the full extent of what is revealed when the Moon enters Scorpio on Thursday night.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:27 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 1:34 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SHARE DEEP THOUGHTS
Wednesday, October 18, 2017:

Sandor Wearing Vest by Jozsef Rippl-Ronai via Wiki Media

With Mercury now in Scorpio, you are generally more likely to keep your own counsel, you may not be quick to share what may seem too dark or vulnerable. However, on Wednesday, mental Mercury joins with expansive Jupiter in the early morning hours. You can’t help but bring those deeply intense ideas out into the open. You long to share your deepest concerns, vulnerabilities, even your fears.
By sharing these deep issues with others, you are able to understand yourself more thoroughly. Pay close attention to who you chose to share yourself with and be willing to be a sounding board for others as they unload their deep concerns as well.
When the diplomatic Libra Moon forms a challenging square aspect to deeply intense Pluto at 9:03 PM EDT, you may question the wisdom of all that you have shared. Don’t worry, trust it, and go deep.
Darkness is easy to locate as we are in the Dark of the Moon, moving to the New Moon on Thursday.

LIBRA NEW MOON – SEEKING HARMONY AND GRACE
Thursday, October 19, 2017:
Even with the Moon in peaceful Libra, you may feel anxiety or excitement as the Sun challenges the unusual with the Sun opposing Uranus early on Thursday afternoon. The cycle between the Sun and Uranus is a cycle of personal freedom, originality, and detachment from conventional ideas and patterns that holds you back. The cycle between them began in mid-April of 2017. What excitement began at that time? How far have you come in moving forward on this path?
At this point, you can see and acknowledge your progress and you are able to determine how best to bring this issue forward into your life more fully in the coming months.
At 3:13 PM EDT, we reached the New Moon at 26° Libra. At this New Moon, you will want to plant a seed that will develop into love, grace, and harmony; over the coming weeks build on this theme. Create beauty in your life; bring love to others; set selfishness aside.
At 9:41 PM EDT, the Moon enters deep, transformative Scorpio. .When you fall asleep on Thursday night, look for dreams of the Phoenix, transformed, coming from the ash.
Thursday is a powerful day. Use it well.
The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:13 PM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 9:41 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

VERBALIZE YOUR SHADOW
Friday, October 20, 2017:
As the Moon begins her trek through mysterious Scorpio, she immediately bumps into expansive Jupiter and shortly thereafter joins with Mercury, the planet of communication and thought processes. This suggests that issues of intensity and depth may require verbal expression in ways that you may not even anticipate. The results of your words may have a larger impact than you expect. This will be a great morning for writing; write down your deepest secrets, your most intense inner shadow issues; allow healing to come through words expressed.
Most of the day is relatively quiet although you can expect to have a high degree of awareness regarding the shocking depth of transformation of what so many in the world are currently processing in their own lives. Spend time in deep inner work.
Do you know the practice of tonglen? Tonglen is a practice for soothing others and cultivating love and compassion. It is a gentle process of opening the heart by embracing, rather than rejecting, the unwanted and painful aspects of experience, we can help ourselves and others to overcome fear and develop greater empathy. Instruction here.
At 8:15 PM EDT, the Moon engages in a flowing trine aspect to dreamy Neptune, allow yourself to drift into an early sleep deeply connected to dream, fantasy, and inspiration.

RELEASE THE STORY
Saturday, October 21, 2017:
You can expect Saturday to be a relatively quiet day but one of great emotional depth and intensity. Early in the morning, the Scorpio Moon forms a sextile aspect to powerful Pluto, offering the opportunity to dig deeply into very private issues of power and control. You will want to get to the bottom of whatever issues present themselves and are willing to get your own hands dirty in the process. Truth and honesty are important to you but if you experience jealousy or obsessiveness, consider that you may be embroiled in some unwarranted paranoia as well.
If you have the sense that something untoward is unfolding, allow it to happen. Release the story that you feel wrapped up in and focus on the underlying issues of power and control. Let go of your attachment to having things as you expect or want them to be.
The Scorpio Moon reminds us each month of the importance of going deep, relaxing your hold, and releasing control in order for a more positive outcome than you may imagine.

THE COURAGE OF DIPLOMACY
Sunday, October 22, 2017:
The depth and intensity of the past few days, courtesy of the intense Scorpio Moon, can be set aside as the Moon enters optimistic Sagittarius at 7:57 AM EDT. With the Moon in freedom-loving Sagittarius, your emotional attention turns to travel, big ideas, and a higher understanding of the world and your place in it.
At 2:28 PM EDT, Mars, having been in orderly Virgo since September 5th, enters romantic, charming Libra. Mars represents the manner in which we take action, the way that we push ourselves forward with courage and purpose. While Mars was in Virgo, you may have noticed that you spent a lot of your attention busily looking at the details and attempting to perfect all your projects and physical activities.
Now, as Mars finds his way into diplomatic Libra, your thoughts and actions turn toward cooperation and balanced social interactions. Mars would prefer to be in aggressive Aries where he can simply take what he wants directly and assertively; however, while he moves through Libra until December 9th, he will teach us the importance, and even the courage it takes, to negotiate and allow human relationships to determine the direction forward.
Remember what your mother told you… ‘You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar’. 🙂
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:36 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 7:57 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CONTEMPLATE THE SEEDS OF A NEW STUDY
Monday, September 25, 2017:
The week begins with seriously mixed signals. The Moon in Sagittarius provides an optimistic atmosphere, an idealistic view, and an expansive vision of the future.
However, it will be largely overshadowed when, at 10:35AM EDT, Mercury, the planet of thought and communication forms a challenging square aspect to realistic, hardworking Saturn. Saturn provides limitations and restrictions in order for us to face the reality of our responsibilities. This is not an easy or a fun transit but it will push you to do what needs to be done in order to develop mature clarity in your thoughts and plans. The cycle between Mercury and Saturn is an annual cycle as Mercury takes approximate a year to move fully around the ecliptic.
Think back to what you were thinking, planning, or studying in November of 2016. As this is the Third Quarter Square of this cycle, it is time to begin wrapping up and finalizing that project, study, or thought process.
Now is the time to consider what serious new project, study, or contemplation you want to begin when the new cycle begins in approximately 2 months. As you consider releasing the past, begin contemplating the seeds of the future. Difficult challenges that come your way on Wednesday will point you in the direction of what part of your life is winding down or preparing to be moved in a new direction.

A MATTER OF BALANCE
Tuesday, September 26, 2017:
With Monday’s intellectual challenge (Mercury square Saturn), winding down you will be more attuned to the easy going Sagittarius Moon on Tuesday. With the Moon in Sagittarius, you tend to feel positive about the direction of your life. Your thoughts turn in the direction of expanding your philosophical perceptions, a desire to gain greater understanding of your place in the world and culture, and to view how others fit into this larger view as well. You want to see through the eyes of others to gain clarity and understanding; you also seek adventure with a strong desire for the freedom to travel and see the world.
The only glitch in the system is when the emotional Moon joins with restrictive Saturn at 8:16 PM EDT. As you wind down the day, you are reminded that you still have reality to consider. You may want to engage with travel and freedom, but there is still your job, responsibilities, and bills to pay.
It’s okay, it is a matter of balance. The joy of life and the challenges of hard work and responsibilities must exist in harmony, side by side, hand in hand.

CLEAR GOALS AND KINDNESS
Wednesday, September 27, 2017:
Wednesday begins with the independent Sagittarius Moon forming lovely aspects to both optimistic Jupiter and eccentric Uranus. This suggests a morning of unexpected pleasures and perhaps unusual surprises. Do keep in mind that the Moon will be VOC* (see below) between 7:09 AM EDT and 12:25 PM EDT. Keep a low profile and enjoy whatever the morning offers.

Autumn in America, Oneida County, New York by Albert Bierstadt via Wiki Media

At 12:25 PM EDT, the emotional environment will change considerably as the Moon leaves joyful Sagittarius behind to enter disciplined Capricorn. While the Moon is in Capricorn, your focus will move toward more serious, realistic issues. Your attention will turn toward the practical and necessary steps you need to take at this time of your life.
This is a great afternoon to work on developing clear goals and plans in significant areas of your life. Given the option you will likely choose work and duty over fun or emotional connections. Please be cognizant of how you treat others. Sometimes when the Moon is in Capricorn, we can be so responsible, serious, and practical that we forget to be kind.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:09 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 12:25 PM EDT.
Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

STANDING IN YOUR POWER
Thursday, September 28, 2017:
Very late Wednesday night, we reach the First Quarter Moon with the Moon still in serious Capricorn. This offers a simple reminder to look back at the New Moon on September 20th and consider the seed you planted at that time and take action to move your intention forward.
Also, while you slept very early Thursday night, expansive Jupiter (at 27° Libra) opposed unconventional Uranus (at 27° Aries). This suggests the possibility of a large, unexpected surprise that has its roots in something that began between mid-2010 and the beginning of 2011.*
When you think of the cycle between Jupiter and Uranus, understand that it is a cycle of expanding the unusual, enlarging the revolutionary mind. Whatever began in 2010 and 2011 shows its full results now? What personal internal revolution did you begin at that time? Where has it brought you?
Pluto turns direct at 3:36 PM EDT after having been retrograde since April. Some area of deep inner contemplation is complete; you are ready to stand more fully in the light of your own power. Wherever 16 degrees Capricorn falls in your chart, will help you understand the area of this personal empowerment.
*Googling political issues of that time (mid 2010 – early 2011) will surprise you… as will your own calendars and journals. You can’t make this stuff up.

MEDITATE, DREAM, CREATE
Friday, September 29, 2017:
The disciplined Capricorn Moon will be with us throughout Friday. Other than a bit of anxiety or excitement around 7:20 PM EDT, the daytime hours are stable, steady, and serious
At 8:11 PM EDT. Venus, the planet that represents our personal values of love, beauty, and resources forms an opposition aspect to Neptune, the planet of illusions and dreams. This can be a very romantic connection; do enjoy the romance but remember that Neptune will cloud your vision, you may have those rose tinted glasses firmly affixed and may wake up a few days later with a whole different understanding of the situation.
In exploring the entire cycle of Venus and Neptune, consider what romantic (or otherwise beautiful) vision around love or money began in January of 2017. What do you see your choices at that time have created over the past 9 months?
This is a great day for imagination, meditation, dreams, and visions. This is not a great day for clarity, precision, or accuracy. Dance, paint, meditate, dream.
At 8:42 PM EDT, Mercury enters Libra after being in Virgo for the past three weeks. Allow your thoughts to turn toward love and beauty. You and those around you will be more willing to compromise and able to see issues from other perspectives.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:14 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius shortly after midnight (12:41 AM EDT Saturday morning). Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DIFFERENT DRUMMER
Saturday, September 30, 2017:
“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
Following the last few serious days of mature stability, courtesy of the Capricorn Moon, on Saturday, you awake to a very different emotional environment. At 12:41 AM EDT, the Moon enters innovative, open-minded Aquarius putting issues of humanitarianism in the spotlight.
Saturday will be best utilized by seeking situations where you can engage with like-minded others for the purpose of improving the plight of all. Aquarius is an Air sign, engaging us in unusual intellectual pursuits that will forward the culture in revolution or innovation. You may feel inclined toward unexpected insights, rebellious ideas, and spontaneous actions.
The afternoon and evening bring lovely flowing aspects to both mental Mercury and the all-powerful Sun. Meet with community, allow ideas and plans to flow. Move your life forward in unusual. unpredictable ways. This is a day to go your own way, with others of like mind, not a day to follow the conventional crowd.

PUSH STEADY
Sunday, October 1, 2017:
Sunday has some similarities to Saturday as we continue working with others for the betterment of the whole human race.
However, there is a powerful drive now that will push you firmly forward. With directive Mars forming a beautiful trine aspect to highly influential Pluto at 7:36 PM EDT, you have the wherewithal to propel your agenda forward with power and assurance. You may notice a strong drive to excel or succeed in some situation that has the potential to bring very positive results.
Throw yourself wholeheartedly into whatever began around October of 2016. Think back to that time. What powerful intent were you focused on at that time?  Your determination is very strong. Push steady with concentration; the time is at hand.

ELATION AND BEAUTY
Monday, September 18, 2017:
How did you sleep last night? Shortly after midnight, Venus formed a lovely, flowing trine aspect to Uranus, the planet of unexpected change, excitement, and (sometimes) anxiety.
In early June, the cycle began between Venus and Uranus. When these two planets come together, it is a time to begin something new around love, deep personal values, beauty, money, or resources. Whatever you began in early June related to those qualities, probably brought a challenge in late August. What action did you take at that time to develop those values?
Now, the gifts of your choices are clear and are paying valuable dividends. Full illumination of this cycle comes in early November. This is a lovely aspect; enjoy the excitement and a view of beauty and loveliness to come.
Also, while you slept, the Moon entered Virgo, where she will remain until Wednesday morning. While the Moon is in Virgo, you will be able to do detailed work with competent efficiency.
On Monday afternoon, the Moon makes contact with both Mars and Mercury bringing you courage, strength, and purposeful direction. You can get important work accomplished at this time.
As the Moon opposes Neptune at 10:47 PM EDT, you are able to sleep with the awareness of your connection to the universe and enjoy the beautiful space of dreamland.

INWARD ATTENTION
Tuesday, September 19, 2017:
Keep in mind on Tuesday that we are in the dark phase of the Moon, this is a quiet time of inward attention. We will reach the Virgo New Moon at 1:30 AM EDT on Wednesday. Don’t rush your New Moon ritual, you will want to do that on Wednesday or even Thursday. I will post more details in the days ahead.
Tuesday, the Moon continues through productive, orderly Virgo keeping you focused on the details of the work you are engaged in.
Mid-afternoon, you may experience a slump as the Moon forms a challenging square aspect to restrictive Saturn at 3:11 PM EDT. It will soon pass.
At 9:15 PM EDT, Venus who has enjoyed her time in playful, expressive Leo since mid-June, now joins with the Sun, Mercury, and Mars in modest, unassuming Virgo.
The Sun only has a few more days in Virgo, so take advantage of these few days to work out detailed plans and systems that will support your path forward. Carefully consider the seeds you want to plant at the upcoming Virgo New Moon.

SELF-CARE & KINDNESS

Girl in Red with Flowers by Jozsef Rippl-Ronai via Wiki Media

Wednesday, September 20, 2017:
The New Moon at 27 degrees Virgo occurred at 1:30 AM EDT, beginning a New Lunar Cycle, the first since the big Solar Eclipse on August 21st.
Be aware that the purpose of critical or compulsive thinking at this time reflects the need to release something you have recently become attached to.
This is the time to take a new step toward kindness and service. Yes, you may notice a desire to clear space in your closets and cupboards but remember that the space that truly needs to be cleared out is the space in your mind and heart that is too full or cluttered. When you have cleared that space, you can fill it with a new focus to support the growth of yourself and others in self-care. The world is glutted with much stress that is heavy for each of us to carry.
Plant a seed of commitment; commit to building a platform of kindness and support for others and self-care for yourself. Ask yourself: how can you help your neighbors and friends?
At 6:06 AM EDT, the Moon enters cooperative, diplomatic Libra. You find it easier to connect to others and truly see the unique contribution they have to offer the world.  Make it a point to build each other up on Wednesday.
The Virgo Moon was VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) while you slept. She enters Libra at 6:06 AM EDT.

MAKE THINGS NICE
Thursday, September 21, 2017:
Whatever sign the Moon is in on any given day sets the emotional tone for that day. With the Moon in diplomatic Libra on Thursday, we can anticipate a desire to ‘make things nice’ for all involved. However, the afternoon brings a difficult square aspect from the Moon to destructive Pluto (exact at 1:00 PM EDT).
Meditate, go for a long walk, and consider the options you have regarding any relationship issues you are working through.
Other than that brief glitch, this is a day where you will want to engage in social interactions. It is easier than usual to see the world from another’s perspective. Join with a trusted partner in environments that are aesthetically pleasing, bounce ideas off each other, enjoy art and cultural surroundings. Show kindness in everything you do and bring a smile and a good word to everyone you meet.

SUN ENTERS LIBRA – REFINEMENT AND BEAUTY
Friday, September 22, 2017:
Friday begins with the Moon still in graceful, charming Libra. At 9:05 AM EDT, she opposes Uranus, you can expect a surprise, excitement, or anxiety to shift the energy of the morning.
At 1:39 PM EDT, the Moon enters deeply passionate Scorpio, bringing intensity and deep introspection to the next few days.
At 2:01 PM EDT, mental Mercury forms a lovely, powerful trine aspect to Pluto. This allows your words to hit their mark. Go ahead and ask what needs to be asked and say what needs to be said. If you are a writer, allow compelling words to flow easily and weave their magic throughout this day.
At 4:01 PM EDT, the Sun shifts from Virgo into Libra, changing the focus of attention from service and perfection to social charm, harmony, and diplomatic endeavors. Over the coming month, you will want to deepen your romantic connections and create beauty and pleasure in your environment. On Friday evening, bring home flowers, arrange them beautifully and prepare to encourage the growth of all beauty in your life.
The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:05 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 1:39 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DEEPLY INTENSE CONNECTIONS
Saturday, September 23, 2017:
Saturday is about adjusting to the change in the Sun sign. With the Sun now in Libra, you may notice that it is more of a challenge than normal to take your own needs into consideration. The needs of others seems more important as you are able to see the world from the perspective of others. Libra connects us deeply; it is a good time to remember that your relationships provide you with a powerful mirror; your intimate partners and close friends are powerful teachers showing you where you need further personal work.
The focus now is on balance, on finding how to develop internal harmony through love or the creation of beauty and art. It may be more difficult to make clear choices during this time as you see both sides to every issue and situation. You are conscious of wanting to be loved and not wanting to rock the boat. Use this month to develop something of beauty and to creating balance in all your partnerships.
With the Moon in Scorpio throughout the weekend, there’s a depth of intensity in all your connections. You will want to relate closely, even compulsively with others. Making love this weekend will touch you on a powerful soul level. Connect with depth and intensity; open your heart.

REST, CONTEMPLATE, MEDITATE
Sunday, September 24, 2017:
It is important to know that the Moon is VOC* all day on Sunday. VOC* (Void of Course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect the Moon makes in one sign until it enters the next sign. This is a neutral time when whatever occurs will have little or no impact on the future of the issue involved. Therefore, this is a good time to rest, contemplate, and recuperate from your busy life. These are bad times to make purchases, you will not use the item as you may expect. These times can also be used to do things that you are hoping will have little impact. For instance, if you have a tough communication that you know you need to deliver but are hoping for minimal reaction… tell them today or at another VOC* Moon. Always file your taxes during VOC* in preparation to NOT be audited. 😉  Because the Moon changes sign every 2+ days, we have these periods very regularly, they can last anywhere from a few minutes to a full 24+ hours.
At 3:49 PM EDT, Mars forms a stressful opposition to Neptune, asking that you look clearly at your internal insecurities and worries. Be aware of your level of integrity and pay attention to any intuitive red flags that may arise regarding other people or situations that you encounter. Meditation is called for… and of course… kindness.
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:33 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius just after midnight. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
