ACCEPT THE NEED FOR DEEP INTROSPECTION
Monday, December 7, 2015:
Early Monday morning, the Moon follows Venus into Scorpio. The emotional feeling of the day joins with the intensity of the internal path you began traveling last Friday when Venus entered Scorpio. You may experience a powerful need to go inward, to experience your own mysterious depth.
Last Friday, this energy (brought by Scorpio) may have felt unsettling and frightening.
As this week begins, I hope you are ready and able to embrace the mysterious intrigue that you deeply long for. As you embrace the power within this energy, you will be able to experience less of the fear, compulsion, and jealousy you may have felt as you accept the need for deep introspection and passion.
Open your heart, accept what is deeply present.

DYNAMIC UNDERSTANDING
Tuesday, December 8, 2015:
The depth and intensity that you have been dealing with in recent days takes a serious backseat on Tuesday. Feelings of defiance, excitement, or anxiety are your most likely companions on this day!
The Sun in Sagittarius forms a free flowing trine aspect to Uranus! This can be a highly dynamic day with the possibility of unusual discoveries, opportunities, and active, lively occurrences in your life.
If you are following this cycle, consider what excitement or stress began in April of this year. What action did you take on the situation in mid-July, and what was the outcome you were able to see by mid-October?
Now, consider what you have learned thus far from this cycle. Be ready and available to pass that information on where it is needed. Someone in your life needs to learn from your experience. Be willing to offer your perspective and your wisdom.
Watching the cycles of your life is a powerfully enriching opportunity to understand deeply the purpose and meaning of our experiences and our lives.

GETTING SERIOUS
Wednesday, December 9, 2015:
Wednesday begins with the Moon still in deeply private and sensitive Scorpio. However, she is VOC* until she enter Sagittarius at 5:26 PM EST. This offers you a day of low-key simplicity and maintenance. Don’t try to accomplish a great deal, keep it simple and pay attention to getting caught up on routine tasks.
Mercury leaves Sagittarius behind at 9:34 PM EST to enter Capricorn. The Sun and Mercury never move far away from each other; however, Mercury enters Capricorn a full 12 days before the Sun follows.
This suggests that your mind becomes deeply serious and focused on ambition while your energy is still in playful exploration mode. Perhaps, you can think of ways that this deepening mind can be supported by the playful energy of Sagittarius.
Over the next few days, with both the Moon and Sun in Sagittarius, you may encounter frustration between play and work. As always, balancing the two is most important.
With the holidays close at hand, there is a great deal of encouragement to play and yet, we now become more aware of the serious issues on the table in our personal lives and within the context of our world. Perhaps, you can use the broad perspective of Sagittarius to give substance to your more serious contemplation.
This is a time when you will be able to get more serious about letting go of some bad habits you developed while Mercury was spreading himself too thin and perhaps playing a bit too much while in Sagittarius.

BE CAUTIOUS
Thursday, December 10, 2015:
So, did you have some event or state of mind that created a good deal of difficulty for you last weekend? Have you been waiting for the next shoe to fall? Perhaps, this Thursday will bring the completion of that issue or show you another side to it.
Mars oppose Uranus is not what we would consider a ‘feel good’ transit. These are two planets that can stir up a lot of intensity when they come together in any configuration. Yes, they can bring excitement but also anxiety and stress.
With this opposition, we want to look back to where the cycle between Mars and Uranus began. What was the issue of tension and stress in your life back in March of 2015? This issue is clearly connected to the one we talked about on Tuesday.
Did something big happen last spring, something that showed you a new view on the world? What personal revolution began in your life? Full illumination comes now. Whatever began then is releasing its full potential, for good or ill!
If you feel you have been wronged by someone from that time, be very careful. Perhaps, your anger has been building for some time; outbursts could easily occur now. Pay attention to your thoughts and curb the temptation to impulsively lash out; the likelihood of defeat in any battle is far too likely. Do not press forward in that direction.
We are also in the very darkest phase of the Moon; spend time alone in contemplation.

PLANT A SEED OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Friday, December 11, 2015:
Friday offers an active morning but after 11:06 AM EST things settle down and the rest of the day sports a Sagittarius Moon VOC* until she enters Capricorn on Saturday morning. Therefore, allow yourself to spend the afternoon on routine, uneventful tasks.
The day begins with a trine aspect between Venus and Neptune. When Venus and Neptune come together in any configuration, the subject at hand is a dream. What was the dream you began or were building in February 2015? No doubt, you have experienced difficult days and struggles as you tried to manifest this dream; now, there seems to be a free-flow of acceptance for where you find yourself. Perhaps, the dream did not bring you where you expected it to, but now you see that it has brought you to a good place. Imagination and pleasure are strong and creativity is high.
At 5:30 AM EST, we reach the Sagittarius New Moon. This begins a new lunar cycle as you work to integrate all the parts of yourself. Each step forward is a step along the path; even our mistakes bring us forward.
Here, at the New Moon, take responsibility for planting a new seed, thought, idea, or a plan that will continue or deepen your spiritual quest. Spend some time with this thought; make a plan, plant a seed.
Release a mistake and start anew!

ACCOMPLISHMENT
Saturday, December 12, 2015:
Anticipate a serious day of responsibility, discipline, and accomplishment. The Moon enters Capricorn, the sign of hard work and integrity at 1:47 AM EST. If you celebrate the upcoming winter holidays, this is the day to get everything on your list done.
If you are able to go off on your own and work alone, it is amazing what you will be able to cross off your list; nose to the grindstone and all! There is no point in anticipating a ‘fun’ day but you can certainly feel great at the end of the day when you see all that you accomplished!

FOCUS ON AMBITION
Sunday, December 13, 2015:
If you are able to spend the early part (at least) of the day alone, that would serve you and your loved ones best. In the morning, the stern, unyielding Capricorn Moon forms stressful aspects to Pluto, Uranus, and Mars. Watch what you say and how you treat others. Don’t make assumptions. This would be a good morning to take extra time in meditation.
When the Moon is in Capricorn, we tend to be focused on what is practical and ambitious. You are not interested in trivial matters and most of what comes to mind for a pleasant Sunday may seem trivial. You will probably want to avoid dealing with intimacy and emotional situations. You are focused on the future and how you can improve your social standing.
Indeed, that does not sound like much fun but is likely where your focus lies on Sunday. Folks who get in the way of your laser-like focus may seem like a bother.
So, let me say it again: This would be a great day to spend time alone.
You may be perceived as being emotionally cold and a bit gloomy but if you can just focus on your ambitions and have time alone this can be a wonderfully productive weekend!

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

China Tree 2 by Janice Montecalvo of Providence, RI

China Tree 2 by Janice Montecalvo of Providence, RI

Do not be surprised to see great opportunities presented this week.  Even though Mercury is still retrograde, you do not want to ignore or deny what is offered.
No, this is not the time to put your foot on that new path being offered.  However, you can certainly explore and investigate where you want to move toward in the coming months.
This is a time to explore the future in your mind, and even to dream a lot.
We are relieved when Mercury turns direct on Thursday evening.  We are anxious to move forward without the drag that Mercury retrograde brings.☺
For those of you following my personal progress; I am delighted to be finally settling into my new office.  I am in an old building in St. Albans, Vermont.  I love being back in a building with massage therapists!  The warmth and aliveness that body and energy work bring to a space is deeply soothing.  The smell of massage oils delights me every time I walk through the door.
It is interesting from my current perspective to realize that somehow I thought I could keep the changes in my life to a minimum even as Uranus and Pluto directly impacted my personal Moon.  We all like to believe we are in full control of our lives; ha!
A part of the astrological conversation always comes down to issues of fate and free will.  It is a question I get asked regularly: Do we have free will or are our lives fated?
I believe that fate provides and demands that certain lessons in our lives be addressed and that our free will determines how we respond to these lessons.  How we respond clearly determines how future lessons show up as circumstances.  And that, my dear, is karma.

AN OPPORTUNITY OFFERED
Monday, June 8, 2015:
Long before we awake on Monday morning, the Moon has entered Pisces allowing us to hang on a bit longer to the sense of open sensitivity that the past week encouraged to grow within us.
Keep your eyes open for an opportunity on Monday afternoon.  Even though Mercury is retrograde, do not discard this opportunity out of hand.  It is worth paying attention and looking at the cycle between Jupiter and the Sun that is being activated.
On July 24, 2014, on the heels of their entry into the sign of Leo, Jupiter and the Sun joined forces.  Something in our lives expanded in a dramatic manner that amplified and magnified the strength of our hearts and our generosity.
Whatever began at that time has been a strong focus over this past year.  It is very likely that a particular action was taken in mid-November, which moved this expansion into full illumination in early February.  More decisive action likely occurred in early May.
The expansion that began in July is now a fully integrated part of our lives.  On Monday, we are asked to rest in the understanding of what has been built through that expansion and begin to take the first steps toward the new cycle that will begin in late August 2015.
On Monday, keep your eyes open for an opportunity presented.  This will begin its full expansion in August.  If you cannot identify anything in your own life that began expanding in July, consider what opportunity you may have missed.
Keep your eyes open and the word ‘yes’ on the tip of your tongue.  Stepping into ‘yes’ now will bring new excitement in August.

EXPLORE OPTIONS
Tuesday, June 9, 2015:
On Tuesday, the significant and powerful cycle between Mars and Uranus is activated.  This cycle is still very new, and speaks to issues of excitement and action or possibly anxiety and anger.
Think back to the second week of March; what action was taken, was your anger activated?  What is this cycle seeking?  Mars represents our assertive energy and our sexuality.  Uranus suggests sudden change that brings us into a future unlike the past.
The point we are at in this cycle asks that we simply explore our options and consider the future we want to create.  We are aware of the opportunities and possibilities that are being presented.
No definitive action is required until the First-Quarter Square between Mars and Uranus which will form in late July.
The Moon is in Pisces throughout the day forming the Third Quarter Square at 11:42 AM EDT. At this phase of the Pisces Moon, we consider where we must release our conflicting opinions and rest in the internal tension that is created between our rational mind and our more intuitive nature.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* following a square to Mars at 2:08 PM EDT.  This Moon VOC* period will last into Wednesday morning.
Given that the Moon is in Pisces, it is a good day to take the afternoon off and work on releasing your inner conflicts through poetry, meditation, or a spiritual practice.

EXPRESS LOVE OPENLY
Wednesday, June 10, 2015:
Wednesday is likely to be an exciting day as we continue to be offered possibilities and opportunities regarding our relationships or the creation of beauty.
Consider the relationship between Mercury and Venus; it is quite different than relationships between the other pairs of planets.  Because Mercury and Venus are closer to the Sun than the Earth, from our perspective they do not experience cycles in the same way as other planets.  Mercury and Venus stay very close to each other, never moving far enough away to form major aspects other than the sextile (the most minor of the major aspects).
Wednesday’s sextile between them suggests an opportunity to express love and beauty.  This is a simple and pleasant transit.  Words of kindness and love come easily.  Take advantage of this and express love openly.  Allow yourself the joy of expansive, loving, verbal expression.  Mercury is sextile Venus at 8:51 AM EDT.
Another significant transit on Wednesday is a sextile between the Sun and Uranus at 5:30 PM EDT.  Because this is an opening sextile, the energy between them is newly building.  On April 6, 2015, this cycle started and began compelling us to begin a process of developing an unusual and unexpected future.
Consider what began on April 6th of this year.  Where did you feel stimulated and excited?  Explore new possibilities that were barely suggested at that time.
For now, no action is required.  Explore, investigate, and play with the new ideas that bring a spark of excitement to your mind.  This new path will bring you understanding and acceptance of your most unique gifts.

MERCURY DIRECT; MOVE FORWARD
Thursday, June 11, 2015:
Yes!  Mercury turns direct at 6:32 PM EDT.  We are ready!  It is time to move forward with new projects, new communications, and new directions.
Personally, this has been a challenging three weeks.  I think it has been more difficult than usual because Mercury, along with the Sun, has been moving through its home sign of Gemini.  We all feel more sensitive to the motion of Mercury.
Unclear communications, misunderstandings, and mechanical failures have dogged these three weeks.  Now, it is time to set all that stress aside and revisit the opportunities that presented themselves on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  In the coming days, it will be clear what steps to take on your path.
Following the Moon sextile Mars at 7:42 PM EDT, the Aries Moon will be VOC* until she enters Taurus at 10:16 AM EDT on Friday morning.
Let the evening take care of itself.  Don’t try to push any particular agenda.  Stick with routines and anticipate nothing.  Sit on the deck and  listen to the birds.  Take a walk in the woods, in the park, or on the sidewalk.  Enjoy wherever you happen to find yourself.  No complains, no expectations, and no judgments.

NEGOTIATIONS
Friday, June 12, 2015:
Early Friday morning, Neptune turns retrograde having been in direct motion since mid-November 2014.  What dreams, fantasies, and flights of fancy have you developed and pushed for since that time?
Neptune will remain retrograde until November 2015.  During this time, it is best to explore and examine the dreams and imaginative projects you have been working on for the past seven months.
As you look at how far you have come within this sensitive world of dreams and visions, understand that there is work to do on these particular dreams before you begin pushing forward into other realms of mysticism and spiritual sensitivity.  Explore those dreams, revisit them, flesh them out with attention and love.
The Moon is VOC* in Aries as we begin the day, entering Taurus at 10:16 AM EDT.
What are your plans for Friday evening?  Tonight could provide an interesting conversation between you and others.
I can imagine one of you wanting nothing more than to stay at home with good food and a movie and the other one desiring to be out in the world enjoying a night of generosity, recognition, fun, and love.  Understand that your wants and desires are deeply challenging to each other.
What to do?  Somehow, it is important to both sides of the equation to have their way.  Don’t let this challenge seriously impact a significant relationship.
You may each be taking an opposing view but really the energy for outside play and the energy for the quiet sharing of stability are both impacting all of us.  Try not to play the projection game.  Notice that both sides of this challenge are an integral part of your own individual experience.  Negotiations must be managed.

SEEK SIMPLE PLEASURES
Saturday, June 13, 2015:
Anticipate a wonderful day.  The Moon is in Taurus throughout the day offering a Saturday of stubborn determination or a very lazy day of couch potato fame! Your choice!
For a lovely way to work with the challenges of this day, support your local massage therapist.  Alternatively, this is a great day for physical touch, for working in the garden, or for baking bread.
An overdose of Taurus often shows up as laziness. The gently aspected Taurus Moon will certainly make me want to consider a long afternoon nap.
Don’t make a big deal out of issues of accomplishment on Saturday.  Allow yourself to enjoy simple pleasures of taste, touch, and sound.
At 6:07 PM EDT following a square to Jupiter, the Moon goes VOC* until she enters Gemini at 1:51 PM EDT on Sunday.

LEISURE
Sunday, June 14, 2015:
On Sunday, we begin a new cycle of empowering our physical and sexual energies. The cycle we are ending began in April 2013 with the Sun conjunct Mars.
The issues being dealt with here could involve sexuality, strength, determination or anger.  We are ending one cycle and beginning another.
Do you know where you need to shine a light in order to develop strength or determination?  Now, is the time to put your foot on that path; prepare to take your first step forward.
On Sunday, you will begin this new cycle.  As you set aside the old one, take up the torch and move with clear determination to develop what you know is right.
How are you going to strengthen your physical health?  What warmth and empowerment does your sexuality need to support your ongoing physical health? Where and how in your life can you develop self-confidence and inner strength that will grow over the coming years?
The day begins with the Taurus Moon VOC*.  The morning is best left to routines and issues of comfort and connection.  The Moon enters Gemini at 1:51 PM EDT encouraging us to use our knowledge and our voice.  Now that Mercury has turned direct, our communicative nature is more accessible.
At 8:35 PM EDT, Saturn retrogrades back into Scorpio.
Consider the pattern of this retrograde: Saturn entered Scorpio in October 2012, remaining in Scorpio until late December 2014.  Saturn has been in Sagittarius since then until he re-enters (in retrograde motion) Scorpio on Sunday.
What issues regarding deep integrity and power are you being called to revisit between now and mid-September (when Saturn will re-enter Sagittarius in direct motion once again)?
This is a time to look at your own personal integrity around issues of sexuality and power.  How are the power dynamics in your intimate relationships?  Pay attention to the work that needs to be done and in mid-September we will get back to growth on a lighter plane.

This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign.  This can consist of several minutes or many hours.  These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment.  These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times.  During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks.  You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon?  A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something?  If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!
If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*.  Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it!  Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing.  That is the Moon VOC*!
Monday, June 8, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Aquarius) following a sextile to Uranus at 10:30 AM EDT on Sunday June 7 2015, until she enters Pisces at 4:15 AM EDT.
Tuesday, June 9, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Pisces) following a square to Mars at 2:08 PM EDT until she enters Aries on Wednesday, June 10, at 6:14 AM EDT.
Thursday, June 12, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Aries) following a sextile to Mars at 7:42 PM EDT until she enters Taurus at 10:16 AM EDT on Friday, June 12, 2015.
Saturday, June 13, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Taurus) following a square to Jupiter at six oh 7 PM EDT until she enters Gemini on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 1:51 PM EDT.
