Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: December 19, 2016 through December 25, 2016

You can anticipate a busy week ahead. Of course, you don’t need astrology to tell you that! If you celebrate any of the holidays surrounding this winter season, you will likely have a very long to-do list that you are working hard to manage.

Monday brings us to the beginning of another three-week Mercury retrograde. Get to work right away making a list of everything that has been left undone over the past few months. Over the next three weeks, you can get a lot accomplished if you stick to working from that list!
Mars changes sign on Monday moving from unique, eccentric Aquarius into mystical, sensitive Pisces. Remember, that Mars represents your ability to take action. Mars is not delighted to be in Pisces, although artists, poets, and mystics can move forward delightfully at this time.
On Wednesday, we come to the Winter Solstice, when the Sun leaves the fun of Sagittarius behind to enter the serious, cautious ground of Capricorn.
The Winter Solstice, which occurs when the Earth’s axial tilt is farthest away from the sun, lasts only an instant in time (December 21, 2016 at 5:44 AM EST), and occurs on the shortest day and longest night of the year. The Sun’s daily maximum position in the sky is at the lowest point in the year at this time as well. The seasonal significance of the Winter Solstice is in the reversal of the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days. The light will return.

4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde!
When Mercury turns retrograde, everywhere I turn someone will ask (with trepidation and a touch of fear in their eyes) is Mercury turning retrograde AGAIN??
There is so much unnecessary fear and misinformation around Mercury’s retrograde cycles.
I am going to keep these instructions very simple!

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!

I know that it is easier said than done, but please forget all the terrible things you have heard about Mercury retrograde! There are no astrological conditions that we need to block from ourselves in fear! We simply need to pay attention to the best use of certain times and Mercury retrograde is one of them.
I honestly LOVE Mercury’s retrograde cycle! I feel like I can finally catch up with all the things that have been left undone since the last retrograde cycle!
After years of watching and working with Mercury’s retrograde cycles, I have come to love these brief periods scattered throughout the year. I feel that they are a gift. We simply must know how to use them!

  1. Get a notebook and a pen – Make a list of everything that you have begun but NOT completed in the past few months.

Start with a clean sheet of paper, quiet your mind, and think back over the past few months. On September 22, 2016, Mercury turned direct at 14° Virgo. Since then, he has zipped along through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and into Capricorn at 15° where he is now turning retrograde.
Think about what you have been doing since late September. Look through your calendar, your notebooks, your bills, wherever you will find reminders of everything that you have been thinking about and working on since then. Now, carefully make a list of all the things that you have begun but not completed. Dig deep; there are probably more things than you are aware of.
What about that appointment you have been meaning to make? The project that you tucked into a drawer because you couldn’t find the time to complete it? Moreover, we all have communications that have fallen through the cracks, unanswered emails, texts, and phone calls!

  1. Get to work! Accomplish what is on this list! Only what is on this list!

Once you have the list made up, it is easy to follow the perfect plan for approximately the next three weeks (Mercury turns direct once again on January 8, 2017).
Get to work, accomplish the things on this list; nothing more, nothing less. That is the whole trick of dealing with Mercury retrograde. Stick with this list!
Our lives are so busy; we zip from one project to another, from one communication to another. We never seem to have the time to slow down and carefully complete the tasks that we have begun.
Mercury retrograde brings us a gift of time to wrap up all those loose ends!

  1. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs!

This is the time for clean up only. Don’t move forward until Mercury turns direct.
If you follow these simple steps, you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish during these periods!
Good Luck and Get to Work!

WORKING WITH MERCURY RETROGRADE
Monday, December 19, 2016:
In the wee hours of Monday morning, Mars, the planet that represents assertive action, enters Pisces, the most passive of the signs. Mars will remain in Pisces until January 27th.  During this time, your usual self-confidence and ability to take action may feel that it has been turned upside down. Rather than courageously pushing forward, you may find yourself slowing down, stepping back and attempting to ‘feel’ your way forward. Pay attention to your dreams and intuitions.
At 5:55 AM EST, Mercury stations retrograde at 15° Capricorn; between the softening of your assertiveness (Mars in Pisces) and the somewhat skewed logical thinking of Mercury retrograde, you may feel a bit lost as you adapt to this new territory. Mercury will remain retrograde until January 8th.
The Moon in Virgo supports practical considerations and encourages you to improve your circumstances by reaching for your potential.
4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde!

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!
  2. Get a notebook and a pen. Make a list of everything that you have begun but NOT completed in the past few months.
  3. Get to work! Accomplish what is on this list! Only what is on this list!
  4. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs!

Mercury retrograde brings us the gift of time to wrap up loose ends!

PARADOX AND COMPLEXITY
Tuesday, December 20, 2016:
On Tuesday, you will continue adjusting to the more passive nature of Mars in Pisces and the more inward mental work of Mercury retrograde. Both of these require considerable adjustment. Take time to absorb and understand the change and the challenge. Slow down your actions and your thinking.
At 8:56 PM EST, the Virgo Moon squares the Sagittarius Sun (Third Quarter Square) suggesting that your internal and external realities seem to be working against each other. On one hand, you may be feeling free and idealistic, and yet, somewhat critical and nitpicky. It is important that you allow contradictions and paradox to exist side-by-side without trying to change either side of the equation.
At 9:39 PM EST, the Moon enters Libra, settling your expectations as you seek equanimity, calm, and a diplomatic sense of your connection to others.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:56 PM EST until she enters Libra at 9:39 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS CAPRICORN – SERIOUSNESS & INTEGRITY

Wednesday, December 21, 2016:
The Sun’s movement into Capricorn heralds the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.
Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. We encounter late dawn and early sunsets. Meanwhile, the Southern Hemisphere has its longest day and shortest night.
Over the coming weeks, you will see the days get longer; celebrate the return of the light.
As the Sun moves into Capricorn, we enter the most serious time of the year. This is the time to focus on developing maturity and taking seriously our responsibilities and commitments. Capricorn insists that we seek accomplishment; it is important to spend time in solitude to explore and understand how closely you have aligned your life with your highest beliefs and integrity.
The upcoming month is not a time for frivolous activities; focus on accomplishment in order to create your most stable, satisfying future.

WATCH FOR OVEREXTENDING YOURSELF
Thursday, December 22, 2016:
If you have shopping still to do for your holiday celebration, be practical in your spending. With Jupiter joining with the Libra Moon at 1:30 PM EST, you could easily spend more than you intend. The possibility of over extension could show up in your emotional expenditures as well. Watch for over extension in all areas.
This will be a great day for spending time with family or loved ones. Before the Moon goes VOC*, she forms an opposition to Uranus allowing us to make unusual, exciting, or unpredictable connections with others.
By evening, quiet connection with a partner or close friend, will feel satisfying. Remember, you’re still adjusting to the changes of the past few days (Mercury retrograde, Mars entering dreamy Pisces, and the Sun entering ambitious Capricorn). Rest together, with a partner or friend. Some hours of calm quiet rest may be more important than you realize.
The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:32 PM EST until she enters Scorpio on Friday morning at 9:32 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

MYSTERY AND INTRIGUE
Friday, December 23, 2016:
The rest we required on Thursday evening will serve us well when the Moon enters emotionally penetrating Scorpio at 9:32 AM EST. Throughout the afternoon, this powerful Scorpio Moon engages in harmonious conversations with the Sun and Mars.
The intensity of your emotions can be used for practical purposes. You are powerfully driven to push forward as you approach your deepest desires.
This may be a simple day but the results of connections made may powerfully move your life forward.
There is no need to keep your deepest desires undercover. Allow others to support you and offer support to others, as you each engage in the transformation of your lives. A sense of mystery and intrigue show you are on the right path.

STABILIZE ECCENTRIC PROCLIVITIES
Saturday, December 24, 2016:
Saturday holds a very important transit that presents important keys to the coming months. At 7:20 PM EST, Saturn trine Uranus; this is the first of three ‘hits’ of this aspect. The second will be on May 19, 2017 and the third on November 11, 2017.
This transit brings the defiant, independent, and eccentric, revolutionary energy of Uranus and the stabilizing, responsible, conservative authority of Saturn into a harmonious conversation. Uranus questions the places where Saturn is stuck. Saturn shows Uranus how to bring responsibility and stabilization to revolutionary shocking realities.
Considering how these two energies may support each other in the midst of our current political catastrophe certainly gives us food for thought. Uranus upsets and revolutionizes; Saturn brings maturity and restriction. Keep in mind that this is a harmonious connection. Harmonious for whom, we must ask?  We have no idea what is happening behind the scenes politically; we do know there are powerful energies at work.
Within the context of your personal life, this may show up as you struggle to stabilize your more eccentric proclivities or work to break out of places where you are stuck. Much depends on where this occurs in your chart. If you have personal planets between 18 and 22 of Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), you are feeling a deep flow on these issues.

LOVE <3
Sunday, December 25, 2016:
It is a delight to find that on Sunday, which so many people are celebrating, provides us with an entire day of the Scorpio Moon VOC*. This enables us to easily relax into a holiday. There is nothing to be done. Enjoy wherever you find yourself. The Scorpio Moon encourages us to stay deeply connected to profound emotions.
Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and sensual pleasures is incredibly active on Sunday. First, she forms a lovely, flowing trine to philosophical Jupiter at 8:22 AM EST allowing your understanding of love and beauty to expand.
When she sextiles Uranus at 11:35 AM EST, she asks you to look outside of your conservative expectations to see unexpected or unusual opportunities that may be presented to create beauty or build on loving connections.
At 1:32 PM EST, she sextiles Saturn offering the possibility of mature stabilization of love. These delightful Venus aspects promise you a delightful day.
Unfortunately, of course, you may have personal transits that override all this pleasure and beauty. Even so, you will feel this; remain open to the enjoyment of it.
As you head into the evening, the Moon enters Sagittarius at 10:19 PM EST, you may want to stay up late enough to spend some time in the expansive emotional energy that comes forward at the time.
Absorb and extend outward to others, all the love that you can muster on Sunday.
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:22 AM EST until she enters Sagittarius at 10:19 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, textiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

On Tuesday, there’s a Full Moon in Gemini which brings clarity on what began at the Sagittarius New Moon two weeks ago.
If you have anything that you want to accomplish before Mercury turns retrograde, get it done as early this week as possible.
Mercury turns retrograde in the early morning hours of Monday, December 19th (at 15° Capricorn) and will remain in retrograde motion until January 8th. Keep in mind the higher purpose of Mercury retrograde is to get caught up on all projects and processes that have been left to gather dust. These are powerful periods of time for accomplishment as long as you do not move into new terrain.

EXCITEMENT
Monday, December 12, 2016:
Monday begins with a flowing trine aspect between the Sagittarius Sun and Uranus (in Aries). This is the high point of the week and the intensity will remain with us throughout Monday and Tuesday.
The full cycle of Uranus and the Sun began in early April of 2016. Did something surprising begin in your life at that time that was exciting or possibly stressful? This is a cycle of intensification and can be experienced as anxiety or excitement, depending on your relationship to Uranus and where the dance began in your personal chart.
What began in April was fully illuminated in mid-October and is now flowing with excitement and anticipation into your life.
In early January, there will be an adjustment to make but for now, enjoy the flow of anticipation that is moving you forward in a surprising new and exciting direction.
At 7:42 AM EST, the Moon enters Gemini, encouraging you to speak your mind, share your ideas and curiosity. This will be a great evening to bring a friend (or a group of friends) to dinner as the Moon forms a lovely flowing trine aspect to Venus at 5:23 PM EST. This will be a delightful evening for friendship and loving connection.
The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Gemini at 7:42 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

EXPANSION
Tuesday, December 13, 2016:
Tuesday brings with it the illuminated Full Moon at 22° Gemini. If it is a clear night go out and stand under that bright light, absorb its full light. Consider the seed that you planted at the Sagittarius New Moon on Tuesday, November 29th. What has grown from that beginning? The conversational Gemini Full Moon encourages us to take full responsibility for our thinking and our communications.
At 2:04 PM EST, when the Moon opposes authoritative Saturn we can look at any communication issues we are having from a perspective of rationality and realism. You are unlikely to get bogged down in restrictive or depressive thinking. The Sun is not only in higher-minded Sagittarius, but also forms a flowing trine aspect to expansive Jupiter, and a sextile aspect (representing opportunities) to eccentric Uranus at 4:18 PM EST.  Expect surprises that will open your mind and thinking in unusual, expansive ways.
The Full Moon is exact at 7:06 PM EST at 22° Gemini. This is another evening to spend with gatherings of friends sharing ideas and open curious communications.

RADIATE LOVE
Wednesday, December 14, 2016:
Unless you begin your day very early, by the time you get going the Moon will be in Cancer (entering at 7:09 AM EST). Your need for comfort, healing, and nurturing may be more pronounced then usual. You will also be more inclined to offer these warm gifts of kindness to your loved ones.
This is a day when most of us would prefer to stay home with our families and those we love most dearly. Remember this as you go about your day. Offer an extra dose of kindness to folks you meet in the course of your everyday activities. We all long to be seen and loved; practice moving love into your heart and out through your eyes to radiate that love and kindness to others.
At 10:17 PM EST, the Moon forms a lovely trine aspect to dreamy Neptune. Light the candles, open up the massage table, and bring yourself and others to a space of soft radiant dreams.
The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:57 AM EST until she enters Cancer at 7:09 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

A HUMAN REACTION
Thursday, December 15, 2016:
Thursday’s sensitive Cancer Moon encounters anxiety and power dynamics early in the day as the Mood opposes Pluto at 9:38 AM EST. Do you feel “under the thumb” of someone else’s agenda? Are you holding someone else under your thumb?  Pay attention to where unequal power dynamics exist between yourself and others. These issues will most likely show up in family or domestic relationships.
Consider where clear personal boundaries could support your health and the ultimate health of your relationships.
The anxiety from the morning extends into the afternoon as the Moon forms a square aspect to wild Uranus at 4:36 PM EST. Keep yourself on the move. Give anxiety and overwhelm a physical outlet. Go for a walk, go for a run, allow energy to move through you. These are simple Moon transits that will pass quickly as long as you don’t get caught up in unnecessary, dramatic reactions. Allow aggravations and difficulties to roll on by; do not engage with them by fanning the flames.
It is so easy to tell ourselves not to engage with things that trigger us; it is not easy to do. It is so easy to fly off the handle and wonder later how it happened. In these instances, show yourself the deepest level of compassion. What a human reaction! Forgive yourself and others with love and kindness.
When the Moon becomes a VOC* at 4:36 PM EST allow yourself to rest. Keep your evening calm and quiet.
The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 4:36 PM EST until she enters Leo on Friday at 8:14 AM PST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

REGAL STRENGTH
Friday, December 16, 2016:
The Moon enters playful Leo at 8:14 AM EST. Following Thursday’s emotional roller coaster you may feel a bit tentative about reaching out for the pleasure of Leo energy. There is no need to hurry.
As long as you did not get pulled too strongly into the turmoil of Thursday, Friday should unfold with simple pleasures. Connect with your most loyal companions; express an open generosity of the heart. There are no major aspects on Friday. This allows us time to cultivate and relax into the warmth of Leo.
Consider the big cats (lions, leopards, tigers, cheetahs) laying in the sun, regal and content in their strength and inner confidence. Seek out your own creativity, generosity, loyalty, warmth, and vital self-expression.

PROJECTS & PARTIES
Saturday, December 17, 2016:
The Moon is in dramatic, creative Leo all day on Saturday. You will feel strongly supported by her positive connections to expansive Jupiter, stabilizing Saturn, and unpredictable Uranus.
This is the perfect day for a creative holiday project and the perfect evening for a holiday gathering or party.  Express your full, unabashed creativity. Dress up and show off. J
At 7:57 PM EST, the Moon trine Uranus suggests fun, excitement, along with unusual surprises and opportunities. If you’re invited to a party, say yes. Allow vitality, generosity, and openhearted self-expression to rule the day.
You may notice the beginnings of that familiar feeling that comes with Mercury retrograde. Perhaps, you’ve been aware of it for several days. Something seems to be slightly ‘off’ regarding scheduling and communications.
Mercury turns retrograde on Monday December 19th. Think about how you are going to utilize that three-week period of time. Begin to make a list of all the things left undone that you will now be able to catch up on.

PREPARATIONS
Sunday, December 18, 2016:
Sunday begins with a lovely, flowing conversation between the expressive Leo Moon and the optimistic Sagittarius Sun. You will awaken with the memory of Saturday night’s events still holding you in their warm glow.
At 11:56 AM EST, with the Leo Moon opposing aggressive Mars some agitation is likely to make itself known. Perhaps, you realize the mess you have to clean up from last night’s party, literally or figuratively. Perhaps, you are reminded that you got a little carried away with the fun. The aggravation will pass quickly and at 12:52 PM EST when the Moon enters Virgo you will settle down to the work, effort and efficiency that is required as you prepare for the week ahead.
Sunday afternoon is best spent in service to the smooth functioning of the coming days. If you are celebrating, you probably have a long list of things that must be accomplished. Sunday afternoon offers a wonderful opportunity to actually enjoy crossing many tasks off your to do list.
Enjoy a quiet evening. Monday morning Mercury turns retrograde.
The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 11:56 AM EST until she entered her go at 12:52 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

ANXIETY & EXCITEMENT
Monday, December 5, 2016:
This week starts quietly with no major aspects to consider. The unconventional Aquarius Moon makes her final aspect, a sextile to eccentric Uranus at 6:23 AM EST. With such an extended period of quiet, we are left with a sense of that final aspect throughout the day.  This could suggest a day of anxiety, nervousness, or excitement without fully understanding where it is coming from.
Feeling unsettled is exacerbated by the upcoming sextile between Mars and Uranus that will be exact on Tuesday. Channeling anxiety into unusual creativity and inspired conversations will provide not only a useful distraction but will also inspire new understanding and growth.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:23 AM EST until she enters Pisces at 11:31 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

PLANNING AHEAD
Tuesday, December 6, 2016:
The dreamy, mystical Pisces Moon would love to offer you a day of soft sensitivity and dreaminess on Tuesday. You may even feel your heart turn toward that passive place, and yet, Mars and Uranus have a very different idea in mind.
On Tuesday, Mars, the planet of dynamic action, forms a sextile aspect to Uranus, the planet of unconventional humanitarian change –change that supports the collective. I can’t help but wonder how this will play out in the news this week.
However, for our purposes, let’s stick with looking at where this touches your individual life. Think about what in your life is pushing you to new unexpected action. A sextile aspect (60°) offers an opportunity to explore, to be curious, and to look clearly at possibilities that are presented.
Is there an action that you are considering that makes your heart beat faster?
The cycle between Mars and Uranus is a cycle of pushing yourself to take unusual and possibly, defiant action that supports growth and expansion of humanitarian ideals.
Did you begin something dynamic and unusual in March 2015? That was the beginning of the cycle that is now coming to a close. It is now time to plan and look forward to the new cycle of developing courage and independence that begins in late February of 2017. The attention to any inspirations that arise or anything unusual you hear or see. The most unusual possibilities are sometimes the best to pay attention to.
If you are interested in a deeper understanding of how this plays out in your personal life, contact me for a consultation.

Wednesday, December 7, 2016:
Wednesday brings us yet another day with a very long VOC* Moon in Pisces. The Moon is considered to be VOC* between the time it forms its final major aspect to another planet in one sign to when she enters the next sign. This time is best utilized in quiet contemplation or routine tasks.
On Wednesday, the Moon’s final aspect is a highly disheartening square to Saturn. This brings a dour feel to the day, as we must work to resist feelings of self-recrimination and depression. Luckily, Moon transits come and go quickly and this will be out of the way before you know it. 😉
Wednesday also brings us the First Quarter Moon, suggesting a struggle between your search for expansion and your desire to remain in deep sensitivity. Consider what seed you planted at the New Moon (last Wednesday) and take action to move that desire and intention forward.
The unusual excitement of Wednesday occurs at 9:51 AM EST when lovely Venus enters rebellious Aquarius where she will remain until January 3, 2017. Venus entering Aquarius will wake you (and us) up to our unconventional humanitarian and even revolutionary values. You are not content to sit home and drink tea with your friends. You are far more likely at this time to understand and follow the need to stand up for your deepest values and beliefs in a direct, innovative, and progressive manner. Your thoughts may turn away from individual love and connection in order to connect and support the greater good of humankind.
Protests and upheaval will be a part of the upcoming weeks. Aquarius must stand up for what is right; Venus refers to your personal values. We must, at this point in time, standup powerfully for our deep values and beliefs.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:05 AM EST until Thursday morning at 5:15 AM EST when she enters Aries.
Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

COURAGEOUS BELIEFS
Thursday, December 8, 2016:
By the time you wake up on Thursday morning, the Moon is in dynamic, impulsive Aries. Aries represents the archetypes of the Warrior, the Leader, and the Pioneer. With a sextile aspect formed to Venus at 7:01 AM EST, you are presented with an opportunity to put your most assertive, courageous energy to the service of your beliefs. Several clichés come to mind: “Put your money where your mouth is” and ”Walk the talk”.
You will be given the opportunity on Thursday to speak clearly regarding what is important to you and stand firmly and with conviction in that reality.
At 6:44 PM EST, the Pisces Moon squares thoughtful Mercury, possibly indicating arguments and misunderstanding. Yes, say what must be said. Remember to be conscious of the tone in your voice and other nonverbal cues. Even in a misunderstanding or argument, it is your responsibility to remain respectful and kind.

EXPAND YOUR PERSPECTIVE
Friday, December 9, 2016:
The Moon remains in hotheaded Aries throughout Friday. This is an active day with the Moon forming a variety of both lighthearted and stressful aspects.  This may well show up as a wild grab bag of a day, presenting you with smooth flowing stability, excitement, and moments of stressful aggravation.
At 4:39 PM EST, the Sagittarius Sun forms a trine (an aspect of excitement and opportunity) with expansive Jupiter. Keep your eyes open in anticipation of possibilities being presented that will open you to a newly expanded view of your life and circumstances. This puts a high positive spin on the day even in the midst of certain momentary aggravations.
Consider dancing with friends or planning an upcoming road trip adventure. Invite a few folks to join you that are new to your group of friends. It is a great day and evening to get a new point of view and an outside perspective.
The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:07PM EST until 7:41 AM EST Saturday morning when she enters Taurus.
Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

FACING RESPONSIBILITIES; ADJUSTING DREAMS
Saturday, December 10, 2016:
When you wake up on Saturday morning, set aside any unrealistic early-morning dreams (logical Mercury is sextile elusive Neptune at 3:25 AM EST). This brings your attention to a dream or story that began in mid-March of 2016.  At that time, you may have been telling yourself a story that was not terribly realistic. Since that time, you have worked with that story and now must explore new ways to direct the storyline.  Some part of that dream must be released and adjusted in order to begin anew in March of 2017.
At 6:51 AM EST, the Sagittarius Sun joins with restrictive Saturn to begin a new cycle of bringing sharp clarity to your responsibilities. This is a time to look reality clearly in the eye. If you know where (what house) 18° Sagittarius falls in your chart, you will know what area of your life is asking for your effort and hard work. If you look inside your heart, you will know what area is calling you to this serious consideration!
You are now asked to plant a seed of intention, the intention to make serious stabilization a top priority for the upcoming year. What are you being asked to commit to? Plant the seed of that commitment. Prepare yourself to work hard over the coming year (this is a one year cycle) for your deepest desires.
The Moon enters stabilizing Taurus at 7:41 AM EST. Enjoy sensual pleasures, get in touch with nature, get or give a massage, or eat good food. Spend time with folks who offer steadfast comfort. Bring comfort to those you love and all who you encounter.
Saturday offers a wonderful night for lovemaking with a committed partner. Casual intimate connections will be unsatisfying for everyone involved, if you are not in a committed partnership, go home alone.

A SPARK OF EXCITEMENT
Sunday, December 11, 2016:
Sunday begins with a lovely trine from the Taurus Moon to transformative Pluto. You may feel powerful, sensual, and stable as you move into the day. As the Moon continues through Taurus, it is easy to focus on simple and sensual pleasures.
However, as the day progresses, you may feel anxiety or excitement, just out of reach, right around the corner. What you are feeling is a powerful trine aspect between the vital energy of the Sun and the defiant and exciting energy of Uranus. As the day moves forward, you feel that spark of Uranus in the air.
Again, you may feel that you are waiting for some changing reality without knowing where it is coming from. Keep on the alert for the next 24 hours, watch for unexpected flashes of excitement, anticipation, and innovative ideas. Pay attention to what calls to you. This is a beautiful flow of creativity and excitement. Look for what excites you!

SHARE LOVE, EXPRESS LOVE
Monday, November 28, 2016:
You may have the sense today that you are holding your breath. Are you waiting for the next shoe to fall? We can see where this is playing out on a cultural and social level but what about in your private life?
Monday is quiet; it is best to allow flow without insisting on focused accomplishment.
We are in the Dark of the Moon with the New Moon coming on Tuesday morning. The Moon is also VOC* until 3:46 PM EST.
Spending time with an inward focus is your best bet.  Once the Moon enters Sagittarius at 3:46 PM EST, you will feel uplifted. The late afternoon and evening will present opportunities to expand your understanding of other cultures, world-views, and manners in which others live their lives.  Open to deep tolerance, understanding, and compassion. Share love. Express love.
The week begins with the Scorpio Moon VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until 3:46 PM EST when she enters Sagittarius. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON: FREEDOM & UNDERSTANDING
Tuesday, November 29, 2016:
The Sagittarius New Moon is exact at 7:19 AM EST. Plant a seed of freedom for your own life and for the lives of all humans. Personal freedom will always leave a bitter taste in your mouth when you know that others do not share your access to those basic freedoms. Therefore, it is important that you plant this seed for the sake of all humans.
At 3:20 PM EST, Venus square Uranus, brings your attention to the more unconventional aspects of your values and you relationships. This energy can bring spontaneous excitement and unexpected change to your usual ways of engaging with others. Expect the unexpected in love and money.
Please take time on Tuesday to do a simple New Moon ritual. You will want to complete the ritual after the exact time of the New Moon and within 24 hours. The Sagittarius New Moon brings powerful energy for the development of freedom and the understanding of the world-view that others hold. Set an intention regarding the ability to share your beliefs and opinions and to hold, with great understanding, the beliefs of others who hold vastly different world-views.
Don’t neglect this New Moon ritual. Keep it simple. Take a moment to write down what you wish to begin, create, and increase in the upcoming cycle. Have two candles available for your ritual. Light the first candle to represent yourself, just as you are at this moment in time. Light the second candle as an aspiration of what you want to create. Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle. As you light the second candle, focus on drawing to you what you are creating, as you bring the two candles closer together. At the Full Moon in two weeks, bring them fully together and see the results of what you have created.
Share this ritual with your friends and loved ones.
Tuesday’s New Moon at 7 degrees Sagittarius insists that you (we) plant a seed of freedom, perspective, and higher understanding. Plant this seed of freedom for yourself and for the benefit of all humanity.

ENVISION THE IDEAL
Wednesday, November 30, 2016:

Garden of the Artist at Vetheuil by Claude Monet via Wiki Commons

Wednesday’s Sagittarius Moon is very active. You may wake with serious or difficult dreams in the early morning hours as the Moon conjoins restrictive Saturn (3:16 AM EST). Allow that energy to shift into excitement and open your thinking to inspiration as the Sagittarius Moon trines electrifying and unusual Uranus at 9:45 AM EST.
The most significant message of the day comes with the Sun’s square to dreamy Neptune at 8:16 PM EST. This energy will resonate through Wednesday and Thursday. Look back at a dream that began in February 2016.  Now it is time to let go of unrealistic aspects of that dream in order to begin a more elevated dream in February 2017.
Begin to consider what you will create out of the cycle you are beginning to release now. You have enough distance and accumulated knowledge to allow the release of the parts of the dream that are no longer viable. Allow yourself to dream, to envision the ideal, to understand impressions, and to work with the intangible that forms the basis of this world. Spread loving kindness.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 11:08 PM EST until she enters Capricorn on Wednesday at 3:53 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

BRING FORTH HOPE AND COURAGE
Thursday, December 1, 2016:
By the time you wake up on Thursday morning, the Moon is in disciplined, hardworking Capricorn, which offers a day of seriousness and focused effort.
However, at this time we can expect the focus to be less on solitary work and more on working together to reach a powerful goal that has great significance moving forward.
At 10:46 PM EST, impulsive Mars (in humanitarian Aquarius) forms a trine (a free flow of energy) to self-confident Jupiter, powerfully impacting both Thursday and Friday.
Consider what began (personally and culturally) in mid-October 2015. At that time, we began a cycle of expanding strength, understanding our combined wisdom, and fighting for protection. That cycle has now brought us to a point where the floodgates have opened!
Give of yourself to the cause you believe in. Bring hope, give financially, and show confidence in the outcome. The full result of this current effort will be clear in late February. Hold on; use your frustration to pour fourth courage and belief in a better future for all.

CLARITY AND DETERMINATION
Friday, December 2, 2016:
The optimistic self-confidence and courage you experienced on Thursday remains throughout Friday. However, this is not without complications. As the ambitious authoritative Capricorn Moon makes contact with Pluto at 11:28 AM EST, you may feel overwhelmed by the powerful forces that oppose you.
Maintaining equilibrium may be tricky but when Mercury (the planet of thinking, analyzing, and strategizing) enters Capricorn at 4:17 PM EST you may find yourself viewing the world and your personal situation with a focus on integrity, more interest in self-discipline, and a renewed acceptance of your personal responsibilities.  Gather clarity and determination to focus on the reality of what you know must be done.
At 8:58 PM EST, as the Moon squares defiant Uranus anxiety may kick in. Look for innovative inspiration that will assist you in finding the best path forward. Look in unexpected places. Allow unusual ideas to stimulate a different perspective.

AFTER A SERIOUS DAY, KICK UP YOUR HEELS!
Saturday, December 3, 2016:
Saturday begins slowly with the Moon VOC* moving through conventional, serious Capricorn. Until the Moon enters unconventional Aquarius at 2:35 PM EST, it will be best to utilize the day by engaging in serious but simple routine activities that will forward your personal ambitions. You will feel best and be able to enjoy Saturday evening and Sunday more thoroughly if you get something concrete, however simple, accomplished.
Your best use of the day will be solitary. We all need time alone and Saturday before 2:43 PM EST is a great time to claim for the enjoyment of solitude.
Once the Moon enters unconventional Aquarius, you can let down your hair, set aside the serious mask you wore throughout the morning and make plans to engage with others Saturday evening or Sunday. The past few weeks have been terribly serious and challenging. Saturday evening is time to take a break, kick up your heels, and find gatherings of like-minded people to commiserate or party with.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:17 AM EST until 2:43 PM EST when she enters Aquarius. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

CURIOSITY AND INTEREST
Sunday, December 4, 2016:
Everything feels lighter on Sunday. This is a simple day with the Moon in unconventional progressive Aquarius. A sextile from the Moon to the Sagittarius Sun at 3:57 PM EST offers curiosity and excitement as you seek new interests, ideas, and ways of moving forward.
This is the Crescent Moon Phase; that the seed you planted at Tuesday’s New Moon needs to be watered with your explorations and commitment to what you intend to grow. What can you learn now that will help you take a step forward next Wednesday at the First Quarter Lunar Phase? The process today is exploration and curiosity.
Enjoy time with like-minded friends and community members. Remember, we all need each other; the energies that we add to the collective are of major importance to all of us at this time in our shared history.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:34 AM EST until she enters for now at 4:35 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS SAGITTARIUS – EXPANDING WISDOM
Monday, November 21, 2016:
Monday begins with the Last Quarter Square of the lunar cycle – exact at 3:34 AM EST. With the Moon in expressive Leo and the Sun in secretive Scorpio, the week begins with an internal argument between your need for expression and your desire for privacy.
At 4:35 AM EST, the Moon enters critical Virgo bringing us into a day of analyzing and organizing in preparation for the week.
At 4:42 PM EST, the Sun having been in private Scorpio for the past month, happily enters freedom-seeking Sagittarius. You are ready to lighten up a bit, leave some intensity behind to explore new adventures and expanded perspectives. It feels like you can finally bring a larger perspective into view. You may be ready to explore new areas of personal growth and philosophical understanding.
At 10:08 PM EST, the Moon opposes elusive Neptune offering sweet slumber and dreams of future possibilities.
The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:34 AM EST until she enters for now at 4:35 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

EXPAND YOUR THINKING
Tuesday, November 22, 2016:
Tuesday’s Virgo Moon is highly active throughout the morning. With a square to Mercury at 9:32 AM EST, the naturally critical Virgo Moon may have you questioning your ability to accomplish what needs to be done. From there, you may swing into an exaggerated sense of your own abilities with a trine to Pluto at 10:38 AM EST.
On the heels of that, the Moon squares Saturn at 12:42 PM EST, which brings you back to questioning your abilities. All of that back and forth activity may leave you feeling out of balance and uncertain of yourself.
However, if you can set your self criticism aside and simply pay attention to a higher vibration of energy, you will be able to engage with the Mercury sextile Jupiter aspect that is exact at 1:19 PM EST. Seek out a renewal of inspiration and intellectual excitement. Open your mind to new perspectives of thought. Look for conversations that will stretch your ways of thinking about and perceiving the world.
If you are alone, this is an afternoon for study. Read something that will open your mind to new possibilities. These conversations or expanded thinking will not come looking for you; it is important that you make the effort to seek it out.
Remember, a sextile guarantees nothing. A sextile offers an opportunity, a possibility. You must make the effort. If you miss the opportunity, you will be stuck in the moodiness of a highly self-critical day.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:42 PM EST on Tuesday until she enters Libra on Wednesday at 2:41 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

RELEASE RIGID THINKING
Wednesday, November 23, 2016:
Early Wednesday afternoon, with the meticulous Virgo Moon VOC*, Mercury, the planet of our thought processes connects with serious, authoritative Saturn. This significant transit may inhibit our conversations or somehow put a block on our ability to gain clarity in our thinking. Don’t be discouraged by this. Go inward and find your true authentic voice. Release rigidity of mind. This begins a cycle that asks you to stabilize your thoughts and get clear on what is most important in the manner in which you perceive your world.
Anything begun now has importance and long-term implications. Do not make decisions quickly or without significant for-thought.
At 2:41 PM EST, the Moon enters diplomatic Libra focusing us on compromise and diplomacy. You may want to focus your attention on stabilizing significant relationship dynamics.
At 6:56 PM EST, with the lovely Libra Moon sextile the exploratory Sagittarius Sun, it is time to look beyond where you have felt stuck. Go out into the world with an attitude of potential, possibility, and excitement.

SUPPORT EVOLVING CONSCIOUSNESS; HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Thursday, November 24, 2016:
Thursday’s lovely Libra Moon tries valiantly to maintain equilibrium and a steady calm on your life and circumstances. However, there are serious challenges and powerful forces working below the surface.
At 6:00 PM EST, expansive Jupiter forms the first of three waning square aspects to transformative Pluto. The energy of this transit has been building for some weeks, peaks now and again at the next two occurrences – March 30, 2017 & August 4, 2017. This difficult transit brings your attention to focus on a powerful long-term process involving the expansion of power and hidden forces. We clearly see where this is playing out in the outer world and in our political system.
Pay attention, also, to where and how it is impacting your personal life. If you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter) or significant points (North Node, South Node, Midheaven, Ascendant) between 12 & 17 degrees of any Cardinal Sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) this will be particularly pronounced in your life.
Be aware of your own tendency (or others) to use excessive force in order to gain power. You must consciously build on kindness and compassion for all humans. This is not a game. We MUST practice the development of evolved humanity beginning with ourselves. There are forces that are utilizing these energies destructively. It is your job to counter that negativity in your own life circumstances and to dig deeply to challenge beliefs that stand in the way of kindness and the growth of evolutionary consciousness.
Contact me for a consultation to discuss how this is impacting your life. I have heard from many of you who are struggling with sadness, fear, anxiety, and anger due to the changes in our political system. Working with your chart will offer perspective and some clarity on the path forward. Use the code ElectionStress for a full 20% discount.

FACE YOUR INNER WORK
Friday, November 25, 2016:
On Friday, Venus, the planet of personal values, money, and pleasure, joins the conversation that Pluto and Jupiter began on Thursday. Lovely Venus conjunct powerful Pluto at 6:49 AM EST and squares overextended Jupiter at 8:44 AM EST.
Watch how values and money are highlighted in issues of power and control. Consider your own use and understanding of money and other things of value. Do you harbor private beliefs, or are you behaving in ways, that do not support your highest good and integrity? Work on these issues today. Be aware of greed and underhanded dealings that are rotting our culture to the core. Make sure you are personally managing your own love and money with squeaky clean integrity. The reflection is all around you and your work must start with yourself. It always begins as an inside job.
The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:53 AM EST until she enters Scorpio at 3:02 AM EST on Saturday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

INSIGHTS COME THROUGH ANXIETY OR EXCITEMENT
Saturday, November 26, 2016:
When we wake up on Saturday, the Moon is in introspective Scorpio.  Look deeply into your own psychological patterns to understand how to work with any fears that may arise throughout the day.  Be patient when dealing with the difficulties your friends and loved ones may be dealing with. Find inner strength and seek deep insights.
At 8:37 AM EST, perceptive Mercury trine unconventional Uranus bringing insights through anxiety or excitement. Mercury is the planet of mind and communication, Uranus is considered ‘The Awakener’. Allow your mind to open to unsettling original thoughts. Your conversations may surprise everyone.
When you head to bed Saturday night, you may have a very different set of ideas than when you awoke Saturday morning. Allow defiance and individuality while maintaining kindness and consideration of how differently we each experience the world.

REST – HIBERNATE
Sunday, November 27, 2016:
Rest on Sunday in deep quiet. If you are able to sleep late, you can avoid the one cranky transit of the day. At 6:25 AM EST, the Moon squares angry Mars, putting you on the defense. Allow that energy to work itself out in your dreams.
Later in the day, the Moon forms a sweet aspect to Venus and Pluto allowing you to rest at the end of a stressful week. Time alone is recommended. You likely feel the need to hibernate before the new lunar cycle begins on Monday with the Sagittarius New Moon.
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 4:48 PM EST until she pictures Sagittarius at 3:46 PM EST on Monday.
Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.
