On Tuesday, Venus finishes her time in Capricorn and enters Aquarius.
Venus has been in Capricorn since January 23rd. During this time, we have tended toward a serious attitude toward finances and have probably worked overtime to develop serious structures within intimate relationships and business partnerships.

Your ambition and need for accomplishment has been an area of serious consideration; now this will change. The boundaries between friends and lovers may break down as your ability to be more lighthearted in your intimacies grows stronger.

It is easier during this time to openly love and connect with others.

While Venus is in Aquarius, it is the perfect time to examine your long-held beliefs about relationships and sexuality. There are many ways to love and while Venus is in Aquarius, we are able to explore outside the traditional boxes we normally stay within. It is important to consider at this time whether you are truly looking for a significant relationship or if you simply want a lover or a play partner.

On Friday at 12:33 AM EST, the Sun enters Pisces, and we come to the end of the current astrological year. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and signals the ending of one cycle as we prepare for a new beginning at the Spring Equinox, when the Sun enters Aries.

We leave intellectual brilliance behind as we reach to deepen intuition, sensitivity, and mysticism.

During this time, we may need more rest than usual to open our hearts and minds to the less obvious side of life. Take time over the coming weeks to pay attention to your dreams, listen to music, and meditate regularly. Seek a deeper understanding and compassion for others.

Are you concerned or unclear about your path ahead? Let Astrolore help you see your life and your path forward from a perspective that will change everything. Allow more joy and love into your life.

Make your appointment today!

Together, we will work with your individual horoscope to explore your hopes, dreams, goals, your current path, and the reality of your life purpose.

Our conversation will offer you a profoundly renewed perspective on your life and circumstances.

TAKE ACTION

Monday, February 15, 2016:

The week begins with the First Quarter Moon in Taurus. Consider back to Monday, February 8, 2016. How did you spend the day of the New Moon? Can you identify what was the new beginning that occurred in your life?

Considering that what began at the New Moon will come into full illumination at the Full Moon on February 22nd, now is the time to take action that will bring the results you are hoping for. This is the day to take action.

Monday begins calmly enough with the Moon in Taurus. The energy kicks up at 9:35 AM EST, when the Moon enters Gemini. There are many stories to be told and conversations to have on Monday.

The afternoon should be a time for easy connections and lighthearted conversations. Open up to your own vulnerability and encourage others to speak openly. What do you imagine could come out of the conversations you engage in on this day? Think about this and plan accordingly..

AN UNEXPECTED PERSPECTIVE

Tuesday, February 16, 2016:

The Moon remains in Gemini all day on Tuesday encouraging us to continue the conversations that we began on Monday. Early afternoon this could prove challenging, as the stories you want to share are not necessarily appreciated by others. Pay attention to your audience and choose your stories accordingly. In the late afternoon, this energy shifts and more freedom of expression is available.

By the end of the day, Venus enters Aquarius, remaining there until March 12, 2016. During this time, we have the opportunity to explore new ways of relating to others and to our money and other resources. We will have the opportunity to examine, with a new perspective, the beliefs that we hold without question.

Now is the time to question those beliefs. Perhaps, your relationships don’t need to fit in the box you were told they did. Perhaps, you do not need to make or spend money the way you were told was necessary.

Due to the recent Uranus and Pluto square, the world is experiencing a radical shift. It is time to take our blinders off and examine some previously unexamined issues. It is okay to play with new ideas and ways of viewing the world. Radical change can bring deep expansion, profound connections, and even unexpected joy.

SEEK COMFORT

Wednesday, February 17, 2016:

Wednesday begins still on the high note of the active, sometimes jittery, sign of Gemini. Following a trine aspect between the Gemini Moon and the Aquarius Sun at 11:37 AM EST, the Moon becomes quiet until she enters Cancer at 2:24 PM EST. During this quiet spell, we may consider celebrating our own personal siesta. The activity of the past few days has left us just a bit tired.

When the day is done, we are delighted to head home. Nothing sounds better than our own home, a hot meal, and our closest family members or loved ones.

If you are heading home alone, do not fret. We do not need others to expand the internal depth of love we long for.

With the Moon in Cancer, our thoughts turn to family, security, and even the home of our youth. Give your mom, your sister, or your aunt a call this evening. Making contact with someone connected to you from a different time and space will bring comfort, and perhaps deep satisfaction.

WHOLE-HEARTED ACCEPTANCE

Thursday, February 18, 2016:

On Thursday, the Moon continues through Cancer and yet, our minds are not content to rest in a quiet space developing security. There is an edge of anxiety as the Moon links with Pluto and Uranus, turning our minds toward that which interferes with our security. Perhaps, you have family members that challenge your most personal beliefs, which offer safety and security to your life.

This is a day to consciously and whole-heartedly accept the differences between yourself and others. We each see the world, our lives, and our families from a very different perspective. We cannot expect others to see the world from where we stand.

This would be a delightful day to sit in a busy public place and pay attention to your judgments as you watch people. Each person you see or each time you feel an internal judgment, simply say to yourself “This person wants to be happy, just like me” or “This person does not want to suffer, just like me.” This is a powerful practice, which will connect you to the entire human race with compassion and deep love.

Shortly after midnight on Thursday night, the Sun will enter Pisces. The intellect subsides as sensitivity and open awareness blossoms.

SUN ENTERS PISCES; EMBRACE SENSITIVITY

Friday, February 19, 2016:

The Sun’s entry into the passive, whimsical sign of Pisces at 12:33 AM EST brings the opportunity to release the past and embrace your own inner terrain. Your view of reality softens.

During the Sun’s time in Pisces, we are able to fully embrace a spiritual viewpoint even as we release the desires of ego. Take advantage of this time to notice what brings us together rather than focusing on what divides us.

The Moon enters Leo at 9:18 PM EST, just in time for a playful night on the town. This is a great date night or time to go out with friends, a night for dancing. Enjoy.

DO NOT ENGAGE IN THE ARGUMENT

Saturday, February 20, 2016:

Saturday highlights an opposition between the Leo Moon and Venus and Mercury (both in Aquarius). This could easily manifest as an argumentative tone to the day. Both Leo and Aquarius are fixed signs, suggesting that each person engaged in this argument holds a powerful belief that they are right and only they are right.

Please take advantage of this information and allow yourself to truly see the other side of any disagreement or stressful engagements you may encounter. Do what you can to let it go. If you are unable to let it go, do your best to walk away and give everyone a chance to let time change the dynamic.
This is a passing issue; no one needs to win. As long as you don’t engage with the ‘issue’, it will pass and by evening, you will hardly remember what the fuss was about.

It is never worth having anything get in the way of a lovely Leo Moon on a Saturday night. If you are able to manage this well, you have every chance to enjoy a lovely evening with friends, family, or lovers.

ENGAGE DELIGHT

Sunday, February 21, 2016:

Sunday provides us with a delightful Grand Fire Trine. With the Moon in Leo, Saturn in Sagittarius, and Uranus in Aries, excitement and passion are likely to be sparked.  Consider what activity can bring fun and powerful delight. Seek that which engages your most authentic self-expression.

This is not a Sunday to stay home quietly preparing for the coming week. The upcoming week will take care of itself.

If possible, get the day rolling early. There’s much energy at your disposal for fun and connection. Engage it early.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 2, 2015 through March 8, 2015

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 2, 2015 through March 8, 2015

Welcome to another week!
Here we are finally in the month of March, 2015. I remember back in 2011 looking ahead with trepidation at the time between Summer of 2012 and Spring of 2015.

I remember wondering what that time was going to bring for the world, our culture, and our own personal lives.

Now, we are at the very end of this amazing time. The path we have been on has changed dramatically. It almost feels as though we’ve been lifted up and placed in a whole new world.

We still have one more exact hit of the transit that has rocked our world over these past few years. The final connection between these two planets comes on March 16, 2015 at 9:53 PM EST. Uranus makes her final square to Pluto at that time.

Does this mean that the entire transformation of these last two years is over and things will settle down immediately? No. I do not expect that will be the case.

In thinking back to 1965 and 1966, when these powerful transformative planets came together and began their current cycle, it is clear to me that it took quite a while for the world to settle down following that impact.

As I look back to that time in my own life and at the history of that time, it is clear that everything did not settle down immediately following 1966. Much of the turmoil persisted. Some of the most relevant work of a transit follows the actual impact. The time of rebuilding continues the hard work. As we move forward, we assimilate what has occurred and pull our lives together to manage the change.

The thing with change is that often times the deepest transformation occurs more quietly than we expect; under wraps. Now, the change will begin to manifest in real world situations.

Watch these changes. Do you feel dread or excitement? Please make a conscious choice to choose excitement. This change/transformation is much needed in our world and in ourselves.

Monday, March 2, 2015:

Monday brings us an energized and active Leo Moon. Yes, we are in the middle of profound change. Yes, the amount of change may be deeply unsettling. We have little idea of where we will land. Yet, here in the middle of our uncertainty, right in the middle of not knowing, Monday offers us a view of enthusiastic possibility. You are able to see the potential of excitement on the path forward.

Allow yourself to enjoy the forward motion that you know is required and feel so strongly. We are building powerfully toward the final square between Uranus and Pluto. Utilize the generosity inherent in this day. This will strengthen our resolve as we move in the direction of our chosen path.

Tuesday, March 3, 2015:

Tuesday begins with the Moon VOC* in Leo. The dramatic Leo Moon remains in this non-active resting space until Wednesday morning at 6:58 AM EST. This is a very long VOC* Moon. If you can simply write this day off; hang out, read a book, or visit with friends that would be my top choice for the day! If you are not able to take the full day off, try not to put your effort and attention on anything that you need to amount to much down the road. Nothing much will come from the activities of Tuesday. Work with no expectation! VOC* days can be lovely if you can simply work with the reality of no expectation. We all need a day of rest periodically. At this time, because all the planets are gathered in the early degree of signs we have this situation where the VOC* periods are unusually extended.

However, Tuesday does hold the highly active excitement of Jupiter trine Uranus. The trine aspect suggests a free flowing energy between these two planets. The energy of Uranus carries a strong buzz and brings us new unexpected information and expansion. Jupiter speaks of faith, believe, and enlargement of purpose. Due to the retrograde motions, we encountered this transit in September 2014, and we will see it again in June of 2015. Consider any excitement or expansion that you felt in September. What is the common theme between then and now? Where is it bringing you? How is it changing your life? This transit could open the floodgates of love or money. It could suggest an expansion of an unusual belief system or an encounter with a culture quite different from your own. Enjoy this free flow of excitement. If something presents itself in your life that has the potential to expand your view into the future, run with it!

Wednesday, March 4, 2015:

On Wednesday, the Moon enters Virgo at 6:58 AM EST, ending the VOC* Moon that was with us all day on Tuesday. Thank goodness. Ask: where can I be of service?

Venus steps into a very powerful position Thursday, first forming a trine aspect to Jupiter; on it’s own this aspect

could be expected to expand our capacity for love, relationship, or understanding of our values and beliefs. Right on the heels of this aspect, Venus meets directly with Uranus. This begins a new cycle of unusual expressions and expansion of relationship, love, and personal values. What are you excited about today? Venus also forms a square aspect to Pluto. The Uranus Pluto square, which forms its final connection on March 16th, is activated strongly by our love relationships and our connection to beauty, social discourse, and our personal values. How are you choosing to move forward with what others may not approve of? How is the transformation occurring in our lives informed by our deepest values and the reality of those we love? This is a very significant day. Pay careful attention to the course of your life from where you stand today. The pressure of change within our lives is very powerful at this time. This is true for us individually and for the cultures and world we live in.

Please treat others with deep kindness and respect. Not just those in your tightest circle of friends, coworkers, and family. Add a dose of kindness to those you encounter in more casual circumstances. Consider that everyone you meet is working with some version of highly intense issues. Show compassion and kindness to each human you encounter.

Thursday, March 5, 2015:

The Full Moon in Virgo is exact at 1:06 PM EST! After all of the intensity of Wednesday (certainly still with us), Thursday allows us to focus on straightening up, cleaning house, organizing, and tidying up some of that mess that seems to be everywhere we look.

At 1:37 PM EST, the Virgo Moon forms a trine aspect to Pluto followed by another very long VOC*. (*sigh). The Moon will remain VOC* until Friday at 7:52 PM EST when she enters Libra to bring us a more socially pleasant weekend.

At 7:18 PM EST, the Sun sextile Pluto. Think back to the very first week of 2015. Consider where you felt the need to deeply empower yourself with a major change in your life. Now you are empowered to gather information for taking a major step in that direction. The major step will occur in early April. The full ramification of what you began in January will be clear by the first week of July.

As you consider the cycles, it helps to remember that there are constantly multiple cycles overlapping and working together and against each other in our lives.
Therein lies the complexity of our path.

This particular cycle is one that has the potential of seriously empowering our future; it may require a time of solitude and is more apt to speak to our careers than our personal life. As you gather information on this next step forward, keep your eyes open this week for an opportunity that is significant to the next step. If an opportunity presents itself this week that fits this criteria, say YES!

Friday, March 6, 2015:

Oh my!! I find it a bit painful to look ahead and see another full day with VOC* Moon. As a reminder; VOC* is an acronym for ‘void of course’. This means that the Moon on its course around Earth is making no major aspects to other planets until it enters the next sign. Often, times these periods will only last a few minutes or a few hours. However, when most of the planets are in early degrees of their signs we can have these times where we have very long stretches of VOC* Moon. The difficulty during these times shows up if we are working toward accomplishment or if we want a result from how our time is spent. If we could each take these times for rest, recuperation, and routine activities there would be no problem. If we are trying to get something done that we expect to amount to something, we can feel as though we are spinning our wheels.

Things you don’t want to do during the VOC* moon: have surgery, get married, sign a business deal, begin a project, have an important meeting, or even buy new clothes! The things that you do during these times generally don’t amount to much. They don’t necessarily turn bad; they simply don’t amount to much! Some years ago I had carpal tunnel surgery during a VOC* Moon. You would think I would know better! Maybe it was a test! All that I went through with that surgery and there was absolutely no improvement in the issues with my wrist. Since that time, I’ve watched these VOC* Moon periods far more carefully!

Rest, watch a movie, read a novel, do routine tasks, clean the house!

At 7:52 PM EST, the Moon enters Libra bringing us a lovely Friday evening for socializing, spending the evening quietly with a partner, or creating something of beauty.

Saturday, March 7, 2015:

I hope you all took advantage of Friday evening with the Moon having entered Libra after such a long day with VOC* Moon. The socialization, the time spent with an intimate partner, or the effort you put into creating something of beauty should be extended throughout Saturday.

The best use of this day is to pick and choose from the list I recommended for Friday: socializing with friends, spending intimate times with a partner, or creating art or something of beauty.  Go out to lunch with your friends, stay home and create art, enjoy romantic time with a loved one! Can you imagine a more perfect day?

Yes, I know all of this is resting on the surface. Below this surface level, we are building so closely to that Uranus Pluto square. None of it is really as perfect or simple as we would like; there are intense undercurrents. Nevertheless creating art and spending time with loved ones and friends is the best prescription for this day. As the evening winds down, it may be best to head to sleep early, and reminder of that intensity is at hand. Enjoy what is good and positive about this day. Be kind. Be patient.

Sunday March 8, 2015:

If you went to bed early enough on Saturday night, you may have missed the intensity bubbling up beneath the surface. Sleep late on Sunday and perhaps you can play-out a good amount of that intensity in your dreams!

As the Moon moves through Libra on Sunday, she opposes Uranus and squares Pluto. This activates the intense power dynamics and demand for change between them. We are reminded of the seething cauldron below the surface of our world, our cultures, and our own personal lives. As we move further into the day, the energy will ease up and lighten.

Please remember it is always best to look our demons clearly in the eye. When we get to know and appreciate the darkness, we realize we can see better than we expected.

Two practices that will help immeasurably at this: Meditation and Kindness.

This week: The VOC* Moon!

VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything go ahead with it! If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing; that is the Moon VOC*!

Tuesday, March 3, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Leo) following an opposition to Mercury at 3:48 AM EST and ending when the Moon enters Virgo on Wednesday, March 4 at 6:58 AM EST.

Thursday, March 5, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Virgo) following a trine to Pluto at 1:37 PM EST and ending when the Moon enters Libra on Friday March 6, 2015 at 7:52 PM EST.
