POWERFUL VOICE; ELUSIVE BEAUTY
Monday, May 7, 2018:
The week starts off with a lot of astrological activity as though to make up for the quiet week we have just completed. Monday begins with a disagreement between Mercury, the planet of reason, and Pluto, the planet of power and darkness. Watch for conversations that involve deep challenges to your beliefs. Take a step forward on a conversation or study that began in late January 2018. Speak with full awareness of the words you choose. Listen with that same clarity.
If there is a power struggle, consider who holds the power. If they do, be prepared to side-step the pressure they bring. If you are the one holding the power, make sure you bring integrity and kindness to the conversation.
More complications ensue as beautiful Venus, the planet of values, resources, and love, forms a challenging square to Neptune, the planet that often bewilders us with its elusive qualities. Stay away from the booze and any shady financial dealings. Make sure you are not deluding yourself in money or love. Take time to appreciate beauty, create a work of art or something else of value, meditate, sing.
You may find yourself restless at bedtime with the 3rd Quarter Square of the Moon phase exact at 10:09 PM EDT. As the cycle progresses and the light wanes, what do you need to begin the process of releasing? With the Moon in Aquarius, look beyond the constraints of conventional thought. Consider the value of minimalism.
SETTING GUIDEPOSTS
Tuesday, May 8, 2018:
Tuesday is likely a day of adjustment after the multiple activities of Monday. This is a day to settle into deeper thought and a more inspired understanding of beauty and value.
The evening brings the steadfast Taurus Sun opposing Jupiter, the planet of belief and expansion. You may notice renewed clarity regarding your own path to higher understanding. What began to expand in late October 2017? Watch for a new story or a renewed story, regarding the issues of the #MeToo movement. Women are indeed, on the rise. Watch for it.
The Moon is in progressive Aquarius helping you to detach from worry about what the neighbors (family, friends, or whomever) might think or expect of you. You are able to set your own pace, to engage in original progressive thinking and planning for the path ahead. You understand that the path you plan is not for your feet to trod alone, you push forward into the future setting guideposts for those who follow.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* for a short period of time between 10:29 PM EDT and when she enters Pisces at 11:11 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
DEEPEN COMPASSION
Wednesday, May 9, 2018:
Late Tuesday night, the Moon left Aquarius behind and slipped into the imaginative sensitivity of Pisces. On Wednesday, she passes quietly through Pisces, forming only a supportive sextile aspect to Saturn in the evening.
Fruhling im Bergelli vy Giovanni Giacometti via Wiki Media
Saturn will help you keep your feet on the ground and not get swept into unrealistic, intangible daydreams of unrestrained imagination. Sometimes Pisces can do that, sweeping you away into escapism or dreams. When the Moon is in Pisces, it is not too difficult to get carried away into elusive and poetic fancies.
This will be a good day to create a piece of music, write a poem, or watch a movie. All these things will help you keep harsh realities at bay. Stay away from the booze, drugs, and unrestrained suffering. If you are suffering, turn to music, poetry, or your meditation cushion.
Contemplate the fact of suffering as a truly human condition, something we all experience. This understanding allows you to open your heart to deep empathy and compassion. Look into the eyes of everyone you encounter and know that they too suffer. Offer a silent prayer of unconditional love to each and every one of them.

ESCAPE WITH POETRY
Thursday, May 10, 2018:
There is so much dreaminess on the table this morning, it may be challenging to simply go about the business of living your everyday life. You would prefer to go into your own private, intangible inner landscape. Give yourself the space to do just that. Meditation and rest will support the best use of the day.
Light a candle, spend time alone, allow your intuition and your dreams to speak to you. Pay attention when they do. Write or read poetry that inspires you to enlarge your compassion and unconditional love for others.
Beware of escapism, drugs and alcohol, passivity, and hiding behind victimization. Write a poem instead.
Offer your support to others if you have it to give; ask for support from others if you are in need. Open to love.
FACE YOUR FEARS; SEE YOUR STRENGTH
Friday, May 11, 2018:
It may come as a surprise on Friday when the soft, passive energies of the Pisces Moon lift. At 8:41 AM EDT, the Moon enters assertive, fast-moving Aries. Set aside your thoughts of soft, dreamy escapism and take onboard an active, direct approach.
When the Moon is in Aries, you may have little patience for others. You do have plenty of energy to engage in physical activities and for demanding what is right for you. It is good to remember that the Aries Moon teaches courage. How do you learn courage? Certainly not by sitting on the couch resting. When the Moon is in Aries, face your fears, move outside your limitations, and learn courage.
At 7:10 PM EDT, there is a lovely trine aspect formed from the Taurus Sun to transformative Pluto. The cycle between the Sun and Pluto is a cycle of empowerment. This cycle began in early January; do you remember what issues regarding power were on the table in your life at that time? The result of what you began then is coming into focus, you can see your way clearly.
You are not there yet but you know what steps to take. The full expression of the power of this cycle will be clear in mid-July. Pay attention and contemplate where you have a powerful impact on others and where others are empowering you.
Face your fears and see your strength.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:03 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 8:41 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

KEEP YOUR WITS ABOUT YOU
Saturday, May 12, 2018:
The most important thing to remember on Saturday is to slow down, watch your words, and speak deliberately. The Moon in Aries offers fast, sometimes quite harsh emotions. You may feel edgy and impatient, you also tend to feel invincible. Calm yourself, don’t jump into any potentially dangerous daredevil acts. Physical activity will help but keep your wits about you.
To add to the inevitable thrust of the Aries Moon, Saturday also brings a challenging square aspect from Mercury to Mars. This brings hot restlessness and possibly anger to your thinking. It may be a real challenge to keep yourself out of verbal confrontations. Indeed, there may be injustices that you simply must speak out against on Saturday. Do so but do your best to not provoke others.
Remember to ask yourself repeatedly, before you say a word: is it true, is it necessary, is it kind? Any communication that does not pass that test should not be shared.
MAINTAIN A STABLE HEART
Sunday, May 13, 2018:
Intensity amps up on Sunday as the future presses forward taking a first step process that unfolds next week when Uranus finally enters Taurus.
At 6:50 AM EDT, Mercury, the planet of communication, joins Uranus, the planet of revolutionary change. Then, at 8:40 AM EDT, Mercury enters Taurus, the sign of stability.
The Moon, still in Aries, also joins with Uranus, highlighting wild activity to come, when she enters Taurus at 2:15 PM EDT. Immediately, the Moon joins with Mercury, setting the stage for the New Moon on Tuesday and Uranus’ pushes into Taurus. The revolution is here; in your life, culture, the world. Wake up.
What can you expect to happen to the endurance and dependability of Taurus when defiant, unsettling Uranus begins its seven-year residence here? What area of your personal life and our culture will be revolutionized by this shift? Expect the unexpected. Given that Taurus is ruled by Venus, you can anticipate revolution regarding cultural attitudes toward the Earth, women, money, food, love, and beauty.
Think about the rumbling changes you hear which are still in the background. Think about cryptocurrency, women finally beginning to make progress against the patriarchy, polyamory, the changing food industry, and environmental advancements. Your life and your world are changing. Uranus is the Awakener; watch the news, watch your life.
Maintain a stable heart.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* for eleven whole minutes between 2:04 PM EDT and 2:15 PM EDT, when she enters Taurus. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
*The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
*The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
That we can now think of no mechanism for astrology is relevant but unconvincing. No mechanism was known, for example, for continental drift when it was proposed by Wegener. Nevertheless, we see that
Wegener was right, and those who objected on the grounds of unavailable mechanism were wrong.

TAKE RISKS WITH YOUR HEART
Monday, April 23, 2018:
Monday’s astrological aspects suggest a simple day with the Moon moving smoothly through playful, fun-loving Leo. Don’t make the day complicated with unnecessary melodrama and tension. This is a good day to applaud someone else’s accomplishments and to step aside and allow another person to take the limelight.
If, however, you find yourself to be the one on stage (literally or figuratively), accept it with grace and style. Focus your attention and expression on warmth, generosity, and open-hearted kindness. Keep your pride and pettiness at bay.
You may want all the attention but as adults sometimes it is best to give others exactly that which we desire.
Today create something fun, play with children, or take risks with your heart.
EMBRACE CURIOSITY
Tuesday, April 24, 2018:
Explore ways to increase your connection to your physical body, your ability to assert yourself or your sexuality. In the wee hours of the morning, Mars forms a lovely sextile to Jupiter, the planet of amplification and expansion. Whatever you learn now will help inform and support a powerful shift that begins later this week when Mars connects with dynamic, forceful Pluto.
At 12:39 PM EDT, Venus, the planet of beauty and love, leaves the comfort of Taurus behind to embrace curiosity in Gemini. You will be more interested in conversations with your loved ones than you have been in the past 3 ½ weeks. Curiosity will motivate you on romantic as well as social and financial issues. You will be more interested and interesting but less inclined to deep emotional connection. Keep it light.
At 4:41 PM EDT, the Moon enters meticulous, productive Virgo. Spend the evening taking care of details, analyzing your health routines, and other practical activities.
The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:40 PM EDT until she enters Virgo at 4:41 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact
INTENSITY CRACKLES IN THE BACKGROUND
Wednesday, April 25, 2018:
Wednesday brings with it discomfort and heaviness as Mercury forms a challenging square to restrictive Saturn. You may feel the need to say something that just isn’t ready to come out effectively. It may not be easy but try to find patience!
Be gentle and kind with your words.
Even as Venus, newly in Gemini, wants to get things off its chest, Saturn insists that you wait and think carefully before you speak. The Virgo Moon may want to get in on the act with criticism and judgments.
Intensity crackles in the air as we approach the square between Mars and Pluto which is exact on Thursday morning. That energy which we have felt brewing won’t stay in the background any longer. Watch what is happening on the world stage.
Are you concerned or unclear about your path ahead?

PUT YOUR SHOULDER TO THE WHEEL
Thursday, April 26, 2018:
Make no mistake, this is a time of powerful change. Looking at the social and political upheaval, you can’t miss the intensity of the forces that are beyond your control.
If you have personal planets or any sensitive points between 19 -23° of any of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn), the intensity and turmoil in the outer world is clearly reflected in your own life and your own heart. Consider a consultation, contact me.
Now, with Mars joining Pluto, a new cycle begins involving force and power. Read that sentence again. This is not a simple passing Moon transit or a low-key cycle. These are the big kids on the block, playing with fire. It is time to put a stake in the ground, to use your personal power for a cause that you passionately believe in.
Of all the issues that need your attention, it is your responsibility to find the one that speaks to you most strongly. Over the next few days, plan your path forward toward making a difference. It is time to put your shoulder to the wheel.
With the Moon in Virgo, your heart understands the importance of being of service. We each need to serve the higher good, each to their ability.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:50 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 9:13 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
PEACE AND UNDERSTANDING
Friday, April 27, 2018:
The intensity of the conversation that Mars and Pluto began yesterday remains hovering beside us as we move into the weekend. Don’t forget the message of this new cycle: Find a cause you believe in and get to work helping others to make a difference in the world.
Your voice and your backbone are needed and will make a difference. Don’t assume there is nothing you can do, even the smallest efforts make a difference.
On Friday, the Moon is in Libra, encouraging you to ratchet down the potential anger and make a point of understanding each side of the issue. Do not assume that you are right and others are wrong. There are reasons and experiences in people’s lives that result in very different realities.
With the Moon in Libra, have a conversation with someone who sees the world in a radically different way than you do. Listen to what they have to say with an open heart and mind and allow yourself to see another’s perspective. Sharing realities, understanding ‘otherness’ is the only way to reach peace and understanding.
THE EVENING BRINGS RELIEF
Saturday, April 28, 2018:
You really do want to understand, cooperate, and make the world a better place with beauty and understanding. On Saturday, you can expect to feel a bit overwhelmed and discouraged when your efforts don’t immediately get you what you had hoped for. The important things in life always seem to take more time and commitment than you may have wished was the case.
As the Libra Moon forms a challenging square aspect to Mars and Pluto, she fans the flames of their meeting several days ago. This suggests a reminder of the message that there is work to do. Remember, this cycle between Mars and Pluto asks you to find a cause you believe in and get to work helping others to make a difference. Stay focused on what small steps you can make now to shift the course of your own mind and the minds of others.
By Saturday evening, you can relax and allow these heavy issues to move to the side of your awareness. It will feel good and lift your spirits to shift your focus and find beauty and love in social interactions. Spend the evening with a loving partner or good friends.
SCORPIO FULL MOON – REVEAL YOUR TRUTH
Sunday, April 29, 2018:
By the time you wake up on Sunday morning, the Moon has entered intense, cathartic Scorpio. When the Moon is in Scorpio, your emotions tend to go very deep, you look below the surface, and you will settle for nothing less than the truth.
Connections with others must be deeply powerful in order to be worth your while.
At 6:03 AM EDT, the Sun forms a lovely trine aspect to stabilizing Saturn. This settles the day considerably and will remain a major positive influence throughout the day.
The Moon is fully illuminated at 8:59 PM EDT. The Scorpio Full Moon is an excellent time to look in the mirror and see how you are powerfully changing right before your very own eyes. Scorpio insists that you uncover what is hidden and bring it into the open.
Consider the seed you planted at the New Moon on April 15th, how does the growth of that seed help you understand what now needs to be revealed? Allow a deeply concealed part of yourself to come to light that will change your path forward.
In the wee hours, while you sleep, the Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:32 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 3:12 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
At the moment I am looking into astrology, which seems indispensable for a proper understanding of mythology. There are strange and wondrous things in these lands of darkness. Please, don’t worry about my wanderings in these infinitudes. I shall return laden with rich booty for our knowledge of the human psyche. ~ Carl Jung

VOC Moon times are as follows:
Monday: between 2:00 AM EDT and 4:50 AM EDT
Tuesday: after 6:04 PM EDT
Wednesday: until 8:03 AM
Friday: between 8:05 AM EDT and 10:27 AM
Sunday: between 10:57 AM EDT and 1:08 PM EDT
The Moon is said to be VOC (void of its course) from the time it makes its final major aspect in one sign until it enters the next sign. This can last a matter of minutes or many hours. When the Moon is VOC*, think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be little or no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.
I suspect you will be happy to leave last week behind. The week we are entering does not deliver us with full ease but certain difficulties are left behind. For one thing, Mercury is now direct and will remain in Aries until entering Taurus on May 13th. Go ahead this week and push forward on projects and ideas that have been brewing.
SENSUALITY AND PLEASURE
Monday, April 16, 2018:
What a relief it is to wake up on a Monday morning with Mercury moving forward again. You can step a bit more lightly as you prepare to move forward with ideas, projects, and plans that have been recently on hold.
By the time you begin the day, the Moon has entered stable, consistent, and earthy Taurus. You find yourself motivated by beauty, comfort and calm serenity. You will thrive in an emotional environment of quiet steadfastness. Even as you are able to step a bit more lightly you are also inclined to slow down a bit, relax, and smell the roses.
Speaking of roses, do bring flowers home on Monday evening and spend time preparing a meal that will enliven your senses. Create an environment of beauty that supports sensuality and pleasure.
The Aries Moon is VOC* between 2:00 AM EDT and 4:50 AM EDT when she enters Taurus. Likely, you will be sleeping and this will not impact you in any way. The VOC* simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
EXPAND DEEP BEAUTY
Tuesday, April 17, 2018:
Tuesday brings the lovely activity of Venus, the planet of love and beauty. Wherever Venus goes, she asks us to look at those things in our lives that we love and value most. Venus is currently moving through her favorite sign of Taurus, where beauty is slow and steady. As she makes contact with Jupiter, you may be asked how you can grow and expand beauty, money, and love in your life.
Venus follows up that conversation with a lovely, flowing conversation with powerful Pluto. How can the expansion of deep love or resources and money empower your life’s work? How does slowing down and finding reverence and beauty bring more meaning and depth to your life? This is a lovely contemplation even as the shimmering Moon moves through Taurus accentuating this line of thought.
On Tuesday evening, Saturn, the authoritative teacher, stops to turns retrograde at 9° Capricorn. Over the coming months, as Saturn retraces its steps, you must look clearly where you need to reinforce structural stability. There may be areas in your life that you thought were more stable and solid then they show themselves to be in the coming weeks. Where is Capricorn in your chart?
The upcoming monthly video gatherings will help you understand how to find this information this in your own chart. Contact me if you are interested.
Today do something practical, begin preparing your garden, or balance your checkbook.
The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:04 PM EDT until she enters Gemini on Wednesday morning at 8:03 AM Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
WATCH FOR THE WILD CARD
Wednesday, April 18, 2018:
You can’t expect to feel steady or stable on Wednesday. Is that a bad thing? It depends on your perspective and how willing you are to allow powerful change into your life. Several things come together to bring restlessness and the lack of stability to the table.
Spring by Wiosna Wyczolkowski via Wiki Media
First of all, the Moon has now entered curious but immature Gemini. Your emotions may be moving a mile a minute and pushing you in a variety of directions.
The big news, however, comes with the Sun joining hands with Uranus (the wild card of the cosmos) beginning a year-long conversation between them. This begins an annual cycle of revolutionizing the self. Uranus brings conversations of defiance, revolution, and sudden unexpected epiphanies. Expect the unexpected.
You cannot rest on your laurels anticipating calm and steadiness on Wednesday. Everything seems a bit off kilter and subject to forces beyond your control.
Today climb out of a rut, catch up on your correspondence, research something you are curious about
The Taurus Moon is VOC* until she enters Gemini at 8:03 AM EDT, having very little impact on the day.
Have you studied astrology for years but are unclear whether you have the knowledge you need? Do you know how to use your understanding to have a meaningful conversation with a client? SUN ENTERS TAURUS – STABILITY AND LOYALTY
Thursday, April 19, 2018:
As the Sun moves through the zodiac, it brings light and warmth where ever it goes. At 11:12 PM EDT, the Sun leaves assertive, dynamic Aries behind to enter stable, grounded Taurus.
In the Northern Hemisphere, this brings us to a point of spring that is more stable and reliable. We are unlikely to see more snow as we move steadfastly towards the warmth of summer. During this time, newborn plants take root and become more determined and stronger; you also take root in whatever is important in your life.
Taurus reveres loyalty, sensuality, and the love of beauty and precious possessions. Look to the house in your chart that holds Taurus to understand where warm and light are available
I am starting an online video group where, among other things, you will learn to find where things play out in your own chart – send me a note if you are interested!
The Moon is still in Gemini throughout Thursday insisting that you keep your mind busy. If you don’t have a project that stimulates your mind you could get restless and irritable. Keep your mind working even as your body slows down for rest and recovery.
IS IT TRUE? IS IT KIND? IS IT NECESSARY?
Friday, April 20, 2018:
Friday offers a great day to patiently adjust to the dependable stability of the Taurus Sun. At 10:27 AM EDT, the Moon settles into tender, maternal Cancer. The domestic Cancer Moon couldn’t be more pleased to have her cohort, the Sun, in Taurus. She feels supported and taken care of which is very important to the sensitive Cancer Moon.
The Moon makes pleasant aspects throughout the day with the exception of a square to Mercury at 8:42 PM EDT. You may notice a tendency to speak too soon or say too much!
Before saying anything, ask yourself these questions: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? Don’t say anything questionable on Friday evening unless you can answer yes to these questions.
Today, call an old friend, cuddle with your pet, and cook for and feed someone you love
The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:05 AM EDT until she enters Cancer at 10:27 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CALL YOUR MOM (OR YOUR DAUGHTER)
Saturday, April 21, 2018:
Saturday may be a very moody day as you are highly attuned to your emotional nature with the Moon in inward, domestic Cancer. You want to be loved and nurtured even as you also want to express that kind sensitivity to others.
If you are in a situation where you are taking care of others, you will feel good about it on Saturday. You want to be connected with home, family, and loved ones. You want to connect with your roots and feed and comfort those you love.
The Cancer Moon makes an interesting mix of lovely and challenging aspects which may result in some difficulty keeping those emotions in balance. Watch for emotional outbursts. This is a great day for self-care and self-healing. Show love and kindness to everyone you encounter.
Today, cuddle on the couch, look through old photo albums, or call your mom or your daughter.
SEEK BALANCE
Sunday, April 22, 2018:
Pluto turns retrograde at 21° Capricorn, suggesting that you check your chart for personal planets or points between 19° and 23° of any cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn). If you have planets there, pay attention to the profound shifts that are currently being demanded of you. I would recommend this as a time for a professional astrology consultation. Contact me or another reputable astrologer.
At 1:08 PM EDT, the Moon leaves sensitive Cancer behind to enter vital, expressive Leo. At 5:46 PM EDT, the Moon reaches her First-Quarter phase, squaring the Taurus Sun. You may experience some discomfort in the evening as you attempt to balance the dependable stability of Taurus with the dramatic expressiveness of the Leo Moon.
Today, go out dancing, treat a friend to lunch, or splurge on something for yourself.
The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:57 AM EDT until she enters Leo at 1:08 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ELATION AND BEAUTY
Monday, September 18, 2017:
How did you sleep last night? Shortly after midnight, Venus formed a lovely, flowing trine aspect to Uranus, the planet of unexpected change, excitement, and (sometimes) anxiety.
In early June, the cycle began between Venus and Uranus. When these two planets come together, it is a time to begin something new around love, deep personal values, beauty, money, or resources. Whatever you began in early June related to those qualities, probably brought a challenge in late August. What action did you take at that time to develop those values?
Now, the gifts of your choices are clear and are paying valuable dividends. Full illumination of this cycle comes in early November. This is a lovely aspect; enjoy the excitement and a view of beauty and loveliness to come.
Also, while you slept, the Moon entered Virgo, where she will remain until Wednesday morning. While the Moon is in Virgo, you will be able to do detailed work with competent efficiency.
On Monday afternoon, the Moon makes contact with both Mars and Mercury bringing you courage, strength, and purposeful direction. You can get important work accomplished at this time.
As the Moon opposes Neptune at 10:47 PM EDT, you are able to sleep with the awareness of your connection to the universe and enjoy the beautiful space of dreamland.
INWARD ATTENTION
Tuesday, September 19, 2017:
Keep in mind on Tuesday that we are in the dark phase of the Moon, this is a quiet time of inward attention. We will reach the Virgo New Moon at 1:30 AM EDT on Wednesday. Don’t rush your New Moon ritual, you will want to do that on Wednesday or even Thursday. I will post more details in the days ahead.
Tuesday, the Moon continues through productive, orderly Virgo keeping you focused on the details of the work you are engaged in.
Mid-afternoon, you may experience a slump as the Moon forms a challenging square aspect to restrictive Saturn at 3:11 PM EDT. It will soon pass.
At 9:15 PM EDT, Venus who has enjoyed her time in playful, expressive Leo since mid-June, now joins with the Sun, Mercury, and Mars in modest, unassuming Virgo.
The Sun only has a few more days in Virgo, so take advantage of these few days to work out detailed plans and systems that will support your path forward. Carefully consider the seeds you want to plant at the upcoming Virgo New Moon.
SELF-CARE & KINDNESS

Wednesday, September 20, 2017:
The New Moon at 27 degrees Virgo occurred at 1:30 AM EDT, beginning a New Lunar Cycle, the first since the big Solar Eclipse on August 21st.
Be aware that the purpose of critical or compulsive thinking at this time reflects the need to release something you have recently become attached to.
This is the time to take a new step toward kindness and service. Yes, you may notice a desire to clear space in your closets and cupboards but remember that the space that truly needs to be cleared out is the space in your mind and heart that is too full or cluttered. When you have cleared that space, you can fill it with a new focus to support the growth of yourself and others in self-care. The world is glutted with much stress that is heavy for each of us to carry.
Plant a seed of commitment; commit to building a platform of kindness and support for others and self-care for yourself. Ask yourself: how can you help your neighbors and friends?
At 6:06 AM EDT, the Moon enters cooperative, diplomatic Libra. You find it easier to connect to others and truly see the unique contribution they have to offer the world. Make it a point to build each other up on Wednesday.
The Virgo Moon was VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) while you slept. She enters Libra at 6:06 AM EDT.
MAKE THINGS NICE
Thursday, September 21, 2017:
Whatever sign the Moon is in on any given day sets the emotional tone for that day. With the Moon in diplomatic Libra on Thursday, we can anticipate a desire to ‘make things nice’ for all involved. However, the afternoon brings a difficult square aspect from the Moon to destructive Pluto (exact at 1:00 PM EDT).
Meditate, go for a long walk, and consider the options you have regarding any relationship issues you are working through.
Other than that brief glitch, this is a day where you will want to engage in social interactions. It is easier than usual to see the world from another’s perspective. Join with a trusted partner in environments that are aesthetically pleasing, bounce ideas off each other, enjoy art and cultural surroundings. Show kindness in everything you do and bring a smile and a good word to everyone you meet.
SUN ENTERS LIBRA – REFINEMENT AND BEAUTY
Friday, September 22, 2017:
Friday begins with the Moon still in graceful, charming Libra. At 9:05 AM EDT, she opposes Uranus, you can expect a surprise, excitement, or anxiety to shift the energy of the morning.
At 1:39 PM EDT, the Moon enters deeply passionate Scorpio, bringing intensity and deep introspection to the next few days.
At 2:01 PM EDT, mental Mercury forms a lovely, powerful trine aspect to Pluto. This allows your words to hit their mark. Go ahead and ask what needs to be asked and say what needs to be said. If you are a writer, allow compelling words to flow easily and weave their magic throughout this day.
At 4:01 PM EDT, the Sun shifts from Virgo into Libra, changing the focus of attention from service and perfection to social charm, harmony, and diplomatic endeavors. Over the coming month, you will want to deepen your romantic connections and create beauty and pleasure in your environment. On Friday evening, bring home flowers, arrange them beautifully and prepare to encourage the growth of all beauty in your life.
The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:05 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 1:39 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DEEPLY INTENSE CONNECTIONS
Saturday, September 23, 2017:
Saturday is about adjusting to the change in the Sun sign. With the Sun now in Libra, you may notice that it is more of a challenge than normal to take your own needs into consideration. The needs of others seems more important as you are able to see the world from the perspective of others. Libra connects us deeply; it is a good time to remember that your relationships provide you with a powerful mirror; your intimate partners and close friends are powerful teachers showing you where you need further personal work.
The focus now is on balance, on finding how to develop internal harmony through love or the creation of beauty and art. It may be more difficult to make clear choices during this time as you see both sides to every issue and situation. You are conscious of wanting to be loved and not wanting to rock the boat. Use this month to develop something of beauty and to creating balance in all your partnerships.
With the Moon in Scorpio throughout the weekend, there’s a depth of intensity in all your connections. You will want to relate closely, even compulsively with others. Making love this weekend will touch you on a powerful soul level. Connect with depth and intensity; open your heart.
REST, CONTEMPLATE, MEDITATE
Sunday, September 24, 2017:
It is important to know that the Moon is VOC* all day on Sunday. VOC* (Void of Course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect the Moon makes in one sign until it enters the next sign. This is a neutral time when whatever occurs will have little or no impact on the future of the issue involved. Therefore, this is a good time to rest, contemplate, and recuperate from your busy life. These are bad times to make purchases, you will not use the item as you may expect. These times can also be used to do things that you are hoping will have little impact. For instance, if you have a tough communication that you know you need to deliver but are hoping for minimal reaction… tell them today or at another VOC* Moon. Always file your taxes during VOC* in preparation to NOT be audited. 😉 Because the Moon changes sign every 2+ days, we have these periods very regularly, they can last anywhere from a few minutes to a full 24+ hours.
At 3:49 PM EDT, Mars forms a stressful opposition to Neptune, asking that you look clearly at your internal insecurities and worries. Be aware of your level of integrity and pay attention to any intuitive red flags that may arise regarding other people or situations that you encounter. Meditation is called for… and of course… kindness.
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:33 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius just after midnight. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”
~ Dane Rudhyar, Astrological Aspects – A Process Oriented Approach
“So it comes to pass that, when we pursue an inquiry beyond a certain depth, we step out of the field of psychological categories and enter this sphere of the ultimate mysteries of life. The floorboards of the soul, to which we try to penetrate, fan open and reveal the starry firmament.”

ACTIVITY AMPS UP
Monday, September 11, 2017:
Monday morning should start out slow and easy. The Moon is in Taurus supporting earthy relaxation and deliberate stability. Don’t try to get a lot accomplished as the VOC* Moon is not interested in achievement.
At 3:29 PM EDT, you can expect your mind to speed-up with activity as the Moon makes her way into talkative and curious Gemini.
This will be a great evening to enlist active study, writing, or speaking. The Moon develops harsh challenging aspects to both mental Mercury and assertive Mars, pressuring you to take action on your thoughts, words, and ideas. Pay attention and be aware of how others hear you, express your passion but do try to keep aggression out of your tone and manner.
The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) on Monday until she enters Gemini at 3:29 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
STABLE LOVE & VALUES
Tuesday, September 12, 2017:
In consideration of Tuesday’s trine aspect formed from graceful Venus to deliberate thoughtful Saturn at 8:49 PM EDT, you will want to look back at the entire cycle between these two planets.
The cycle between Venus and Saturn is a cycle of bringing stability to your deepest values. At the start of each planetary cycle, we plant a seed or in some manner begin a new process. This may have been a time when you began a serious relationship or started a new phase in an existing one. Perhaps, you began to handle your finances in a more mature fashion and you got serious about making money, establishing wealth, or creating something of material substance.
Examine the seed you planted when the cycle began at the conjunction between Venus and Saturn in late October of 2016. At the end of July of 2017, you were able to see how far the cycle had developed at its full expression. Now, you get the benefit of the work you have done on this issue. The relationship is going well or the finances have improved.
You may even be able to help others who face similar challenges to their most personal values of love or money. Maturity and hard work support the stabilization of those values. Over the coming months, you will begin preparation for a new cycle of deepening those serious values.
The Moon is in curious Gemini throughout the day encouraging friendly, talkative encounters with a diverse range of folks.

STRUGGLE LEADS TO MATURE GROWTH
Wednesday, September 13, 2017:
Wednesday’s Gemini Moon is extremely active in the early hours of the morning when you will likely be sleeping, anticipate strong dream activity.
At 2:24 AM EDT, we reach the Third Quarter Moon phase. This is a release point following the Full Solar Eclipse of August 21st. Think back to that day and consider what shifts need to be made to prepare for a step forward at the coming New Moon on September 20th.
Once you get up and are going into the day, there’s a lovely trine aspect from the talkative Gemini Moon to Jupiter in relationship- oriented Libra. This is a time when conversations with a loved one can be expansive, optimistic, and result in positive connection.
When the Moon then sextiles Uranus at 2:35 PM EDT, all bets are off, excitement may bring a surprise or something unexpected.
Wednesday evening, the energy changes dramatically at 6:13 PM EDT, when the Moon leaves chatty Gemini behind to enter protective, nourishing Cancer. Cancer brings our attention to domestic issues, love, and kindness.
However, we are building to a difficult square aspect being formed from the critical Virgo Sun to Saturn in Sagittarius (exact at 10:58 PM EDT). This brings with it a sense of difficulty, responsibilities, and the heavy hand of reality. The stress of this aspect is with us through most of Wednesday and will maintain through much of Thursday.
Consider a difficult choice or something stressful that began early in December 2016. It may feel hard but this is the time to begin the process of untangling the issues surrounding that time.
You may feel restricted, restrained and in some way held back by others. Please relax into it, and try to find the lesson. Saturn brings significant growth as we take responsibility for ourselves and the steps we take forward.
The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:35 PM EDT until she enters Cancer at 6:13 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
LOVE – THE MEANING OF FAMILY
Thursday, September 14, 2017:
I hope you enjoy exciting and hopeful dreams before you wake. Then turn your attention to anticipation and encouragement regarding your domestic and deeply emotional connections and relationships.
At 3:31 PM EDT, with the Moon trine devotional Neptune, your heart and mind may turn in the direction of romance or simple flights of fancy. Immerse yourself in the development of your deep understanding of what family means to you. Family can mean so many things to each of us. A quote I like from Jim Butcher, “When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by your without flinching – they are your family.” These are the connections to remain committed to over time. Folks who keep you close through thick and thin, who you know you can share your vulnerabilities with, bring them closer now, let them know you are by their side as well. Accepting deep love from others sustains your ability to move forward and continue passing love onto others.
When the Moon is in Cancer, our hearts feel tender and our sensitivity can sometimes be a challenge. Allow your vulnerabilities to show, give, and receive love and kindness.
EXPAND LOVE
Friday, September 15, 2017:
Friday brings another day of deep sensitivity as the Moon continues moving through intuitive, tender Cancer.
At 3:43 PM EDT, Venus, the planet of love, beauty and resources forms a lovely sextile aspect to Jupiter, the planet of expansion and optimism. Take time to become aware of what you have created in terms of love, value, beauty, or finances since late August 2016. This is the waning sextile, a time to begin preparation for a new cycle of expanding love that will begin in November. For now, prepare to release the cycle that began in late August 2016. Each new cycle builds on the previous one.
Pay attention to any opportunities you encounter to express your appreciation for how others have nourished your life.
At 9:09 PM EDT, the Moon leaves Cancer behind to enter dramatically inclined Leo. Saturday will feel far less sensitive and will be more playful and fun. 🙂
The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:23 PM EDT until she enters Leo at 9:09 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

PUT YOUR CARDS ON THE TABLE
Saturday, September 16, 2017:
I love to see a weekend with a playful Leo Moon. It is true that I am a bit biased in this regard! It is also true that weekends are generally a time we want to have fun and express ourselves with generosity and largesse. The Leo Moon helps create this energy with encouragement. It is also true that we each need to make sure our motivations are clear, that our generosity does not have a core of selfishness with this Moon placement.
At 3:01 PM EDT, mental Mercury, finally direct, joins with aggressive Mars for the final of three conjunctions, this time in Virgo. Finally, say what must be said, with renewed clarity and deep kindness. Get ready to move on with new ideas and new ways to implement those ideas. Virgo offers the ability to see the potential of a situation and do the detailed work to reach that potential for the good of all. Put your cards on the table.
COLOR THE DAY WITH PLEASURE
Sunday, September 17, 2017:
Sunday brings delightful aspects to the exuberant Leo Moon. The day begins with a flowing trine to Saturn at 10:18 AM EDT, you should feel steady and in control of the direction you want to take the day, you are ready to move forward but not in a hurry.
The Moon has an exciting sextile to Jupiter at 4:36 PM EDT which supports the expansion of your heart and generosity. At 8:34 PM EDT, with a conjunction to lovely Venus, your heart feels full, creative, loyal, and dynamic. At 8:55 PM EDT, with a trine to Uranus, you may receive news that surprises you or you may express something unexpected to others.
Your heart is so open throughout this day. Enjoy. There is hopefulness and joy available for the taking. These are all Moon transits so be sure to incorporate them as they come along, they will not last but will color the day with pleasure.
