Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: February 29, 2016 through March 6, 2016

The planetary alignment suggests a very active, busy week. We begin the week with the extra day of February. Remember, this is a leap year! Treat it as an EXTRA day and you will begin the week with a sense of abundance!

Early in the week, watch as your values or your experience of the values of others, take an interesting turn. This could show up in terms of money or love. You may be presented with an opportunity to stabilize these areas, even as they expand with unexpected or unusual growth. Anticipate and prepare for unique opportunities that can result in powerful new developments.
The weekend ahead may bring communication challenges as your thinking moves through anger followed by a turn toward confusion. Seeking a path toward deeper spiritual understanding will help.
The plus side of the weekend could bring unexpected travel. A road trip to Montreal is not out of the question! But staying out late dancing on Saturday night may not be the best option. Better to get some sleep and enjoy museums or places of worship on Sunday (those churches are beautiful).
This is a powerful week with a lot of changing energies. Hang on for the ride, maintain solid integrity, don’t be hard on yourself or others, and allow yourself to dream.

Are you concerned or unclear about your path ahead? Let Astrolore help you see your life and your path forward from a perspective that will change everything. Allow more joy and love into your life.

SAY ‘YES’
Monday, February 29, 2016:
We begin the week with the Moon connecting with Mars, pushing us forward with a powerful need to take action on some deeply felt issue. At 6:56 PM EST, the Moon enters Sagittarius opening some of the tightness or confusion you may have brought with you from the weekend.
Allow yourself to open your perspective and look to your dreams for the future. At 8:07 PM EST, Venus and Saturn form a sextile. This offers us opportunities in the area of love or money.
Keep your eyes open on Monday and Tuesday for possibilities you may not have considered. If an opportunity presents itself that feels good and proper; simply open your heart and your mind and say ‘Yes’.

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES
Tuesday, March 1, 2016:
Starting the day on Tuesday, you may feel like you’re getting up on the wrong side of the bed. These feelings are reflecting the square between the Moon and Neptune
This is the day when navigating the path ahead may bring up many questions. We are distracted and possibly overwhelmed by the possibilities. We intuitively know that there are things we must let go of and directions that must be shifted in order to stay on our path.
The Third Quarter Square between the Sun and Moon occurs at 6:11 PM EST. In order to follow your own best intentions, you must know what to release and where to shift direction. It is important to stay grounded in this process.
Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater! Narrow your focus and pay attention to what is necessary.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART
Wednesday, March 2, 2016:
Don’t underestimate the significance of the energies provided on Wednesday.
Your relationships to the most significant people in your life and your deepest held values (including money and other resources) seek exploration and new understanding.
Venus sextiles the wild energy of Uranus at 8:07 PM EST and is asking you (or at least offers the opportunity) to consider solutions and ideas outside the box of convention. With your emotions somewhat detached, you are able to see a bigger view and more possibilities. You don’t have to follow conventional norms or rules; you can follow your deepest hearts desires.
Lines of communication are open and you are open to new ways of experiencing your world. This brings an opportunity to consider alternatives to the status quo, open-minded perspectives, as well as the ability to detach from the opinions of others.
Follow your heart. Give more space to your creative and cerebral thinking.

PRACTICAL REALITIES
Thursday, March 3, 2016:
The shift of energy from Wednesday into Thursday may feel considerable. If you loved the energy of Wednesday, today may feel a bit repressive. If you experienced a lot of anxiety on Wednesday, this new energy may feel stable and solid, what a relief!
The Moon enters Capricorn at 5:02 AM EST insisting that you get serious about the practical realities of your life. This is a day for ambition and serious work. You may feel the need to put your personal life on the back burner as you focus on more pragmatic concerns. Enjoy a sense of accomplishment by maintaining that solid focus on all those practical realities.
Before bedtime, it will be important to release that seriousness. Allow yourself a movie, a glass of wine, or extra time on your meditation cushion. Get to sleep in time to tune-in to open, intuitive dream space; especially when the Moon sextile Neptune at 10:57 PM EST.

ALLOW FOR IMPERFECTIONS
Friday, March 4, 2016:
The theme of serious, practical accomplishments continues throughout Friday. As the Moon conjunct Pluto at 12:18 PM EST, you will likely be deeply focused on whatever work project you are involved in. Remember, that it may not be easy to be flexible.
At 2:58 PM EST, the Moon squares Uranus and flexibility will be key to managing this transit. If you are too profoundly focused, distractions could become a problem. Allow, develop, and seek flexibility. Allow for the gifts of imperfection and attempt to maintain a sense of humor.
When the Moon trine Jupiter at 3:30 PM EST, tensions should relax and the rest of the afternoon has the potential of being very constructive. You may be surprised at how much you can accomplish in a short period of time.
A quiet evening at home would be advisable. This is not an evening to go looking for pleasure in a social arena. If you want to make plans for socializing this weekend, Saturday evening will be the better choice.

HOLD STEADY WHILE ENERGIES SHIFT
Saturday, March 5, 2016:
This brings us to a very busy weekend ahead. On Saturday, Mercury squares Mars at 12:43 AM EST. Perhaps, you can sleep through the reflection of this argumentative aspect or experience the aggravation within the context of your dreams.
By the time you wake up Saturday morning, Mercury has left Aquarius behind to enter Pisces. You may notice your thinking takes on a very different flavor than it has since Mercury entered Aquarius on February 13th. Your thoughts may go to places of intangibility, high imagination, and deep sensitivity.
It may be difficult to follow a train of thought without getting lost in strong, watery currents. We can expect less clarity and more mystical thinking while Mercury remains in Pisces until March 21st.
At 11:06 AM EST, the Moon leaves serious Capricorn behind to enter detached, intellectual Aquarius. We are finally able to get away from so much focus on work and, on an emotional level, move to a cooler, more detached space where all kinds of possibilities may become available.
At 9:28 PM EST, Mars enters Sagittarius after having been in Scorpio since January 3rd. Mars represents our ability to take decisive action, assertiveness, and how we experience and use our sexual energy. While Mars was in Scorpio, we functioned (sexually and assertively) in deep pools of privacy and discretion as we explored our inner depths.
What have you discovered, hidden under the surface, about how your energy wants or needs to express itself? As Mars moves into Sagittarius, we are open to lighter, more exploratory arenas within which we are able to move our assertive, aggressive, and sexual energies. Explore new territory.
In April 2016, Mars will turn retrograde. This means Mars will remain in Sagittarius until late September 2016. Do you know what house Sagittarius occupies in your chart? This will be an area of significant activity between now and September. Make sure you were living your highest integrity in this area. The importance of this will be clear in the coming months.

REALITY AND EMPOWERMENT
Sunday, March 6, 2016:
Sunday begins on a serious note with the Sun square Saturn at 1:03 AM EST. Think back to a most serious issue in late November 2015. On November 29th, the Sun conjunct Saturn which began an annual cycle of developing maturity through integrity and hard work. What began in your life at that time? If you have the answer to that question, it will give you an idea of how to manage the square between them on Sunday.
As this is the Last Quarter Square in their cycle, signifying the end of this influence, it is important that you take an action on what began in late November. This is a serious aspect, asking you to make a decision and take action to move your life forward in a practical manner.
Slow down and consider carefully the vision you are working to create. Be clear that you are taking concrete, real-world steps to develop that dream. This is a time to look at reality and make sure you’re taking the necessary, practical steps forward toward an achievable goal.
As the day comes to a close, the Sun sextile Pluto at 11:40 PM EST which suggests that the hard work you are investing in your future opens possibilities for great empowerment moving forward. This is a delightful energy to end the week with.
Reflect and rejoice.

This past Sunday, July 26th, Uranus turned retrograde. Perhaps, you felt a sharp pull of rebellion in some area of your life.

Flower by Yvonne Nelson

Flower by Yvonne Nelson

If you know where 20° Aries falls in your natal chart, this will be the area of your life where you are experiencing this anxiety and need for dramatic change. If you don’t know your chart, pay attention to where in your life you feel the need for independence, innovation, and dramatic change.
You may feel disoriented by this sudden wave of rebellion. Uranus will remain retrograde until she stations direct in late December 2015. While Uranus is retrograde, you will explore your need for freedom and liberation.
With both Venus and Uranus retrograde, you may notice personal long-term patterns involving freedom and autonomy in intimate relationships. You may also want to explore how you have used money and resources to maintain or deny your full independence
Where do you give your individuality away in order to maintain relationships? Do you believe you have to do it this way? Explore new and unusual ways of engaging in and managing your love relationships and your financial issues.
There is a powerful urge to confront what we have previously ignored. How have you allowed yourself to lose freedom and autonomy in order to be loved? Have you believed that you had to be less of yourself in order to be worthy of love?
You are not here to be small. You have the opportunity to create an amazing life for yourself and for all you encounter. It is not easy to live an authentic life. That is okay. What are you learning?
Examine the deep place of your mind and heart. What must you shake up in order to bring your life’s direction to a higher level of manifestation? Explore your beliefs and your values; prepare for major forward motion in mid-September.
On to the dailies!
VACATION: REAL OR IMAGINED
Monday, July 27, 2015:
Monday is a day of exploration. What do you want to experience? Are you able to make your imagination real? This is a time to open the heart and mind to seeing and experiencing new ideas, new cultures, and new places.
If you happen to be on vacation – what a lovely day!
The morning begins with Sagittarius Moon squaring Neptune, a lovely morning to sleep late and dawdle over coffee and conversation. Start the day slowly with meditation and/or music. Allow the mind to drift where it wants to go; slow and easy.
This evening, the Sagittarius Moon trine Uranus, pulling us out of a dreamy space and into excitement and innovation. Spend time with friends who are of a like mind.
Seek ways to expand the good for everyone. This is not the time to think only of yourself. In order to uplift yourself, focus on uplifting those around you.

BE PRACTICAL WITH YOUR HEART
Tuesday, July 28, 2015:
Don’t take yourself too seriously on Tuesday morning. Bring humor to the table. With Venus retrograde insisting that we be so focused on relationship and resource evaluation, it would be easy to forget how much humor and lightness is needed to get through our lives! Take it easy on yourself and those you come into contact with.
At 9:36 AM EDT, the Sagittarius Moon is VOC* until she enters Capricorn at 2:47 PM EDT. At this point of the day, we feel the shift to a more serious nature and the ability to get much more accomplished that we would have expected earlier in the day.
This is a good evening to focus on exploring your financial and/or relationship goals with your partner or loved ones. A family conversation to plan for changes in income or practical considerations would be appropriate. You will find that you are able to be more practical than usual even with the involvement of your heart.

DO THE WORK
Wednesday, July 29, 2015:
Wednesday we can expect to be a serious or ambitious day once we get past the early morning dreaminess. Revisit your goals, ambitions, and dreams in the morning. At a certain point, you will realize that you are ready to get serious about accomplishment.
The Moon in in ambitious, hard working, Capricorn throughout the day. Do the hard work. It is a good day to cross everything off your ‘to do list’!
Stay at work late because your mind will be on work even if you are at home. If you head home too early, you may encounter power dynamics that may be difficult to manage.
Wind down and head to bed early unless you have a work or writing project that can keep you occupied in a solitary endeavor. Even with the Sun in Leo, we can’t have everyday be about fun and pleasure!

BRING INNOVATION TO EFFORT
Thursday, July 30, 2015:
You can expect to encounter an interesting edge to your work and ambition on Thursday and you may well meet with resistance and a certain amount of aggravation. You will want to find a way to bring change and innovation to whatever the work or effort is that you are involved in.
Don’t forget your meditation Thursday morning, as you will need whatever stability and calm it helps you to maintain. Utilize the internal aggravation to push forward on solitary work.
At 5:41 PM EDT, the Moon enters Aquarius and you will be able to connect more easily with others. Gather with friends. All of you will need the social connection after the solitary work of the past few days.
Release tension. Enjoy the evening.

AQUARIUS FULL MOON; SEEK SOCIAL EQUALITY
Friday, July 31, 2015:
Early Friday morning, we reach the Aquarius Full Moon (6:43 AM EDT). This brings us to the full illumination of the Lunar Cycle that began two weeks ago at the Leo New Moon.
At the Aquarius Full Moon, take the time to explore issues of social justice or injustice. You do not need to look very deeply into the fabric of our culture to see how far we still have to go to reach the social justice you may have thought you had all along.
As we gain in the area of marriage equality, we are confronted with immense inequality related to race. It is up to each one of us to move this world toward a place of full equality and love for our fellow humans. Speak out with clarity anywhere you see inequality.
Venus retrogrades back into Leo at 11:27 AM EDT; let go of any perfectionism you have fallen into. Relax into a bit more fun even as you continue reevaluating money and love.

FIND YOUR DREAMY PLACE
Cemetery Sky by Erin Krygier

Cemetery Sky by Erin Krygier

Saturday, August 1, 2015:
The Moon is in Aquarius making contact with Jupiter and Venus offers a lovely day as the expansion of love is highlighted.
Acknowledge love, offer love, seek love, accept love, open your heart and feel love. If your life feels bereft of love, open to the love that is always internally available.
There is no reason to have a lack of love in your life. Offer it with abandon and it will always be with you. Look in unusual places for love; for love and beauty have the ability to surprise us on a day like this!
At 6:36 PM EDT, the Moon enters the softer space of Pisces and we are able to dwell in an intangible dreamy place.
Be careful with the tendency to explore the edges of reality with drugs and alcohol. It would be a better choice to allow a sense of the intangible with music or meditation. You want to reduce the boundaries between yourself and others, and between yourself and the universe.

RESPONSIBILITY & CHANGE
Sunday, August 2, 2015:
Enjoy an interesting day on Sunday as Mercury trine Uranus will electrify the space between our ears and bring our thoughts and conversations to the most interestingly innovative places.
This is a day when brainstorming ideas can bring you places that will move your life forward! Don’t stick with the ‘tried and true’.
This cycle of innovative thought began in early April. Consider what may have come as a shock or invigorated your thinking at that time. We are in a smooth area with a clear vision of where we would like to be at the full illumination of that cycle in late October.
Your imagination and intuition will be strongly supported by the Pisces Moon. Watch a movie, have an extra glass of wine. Allow yourself to dream.
As Saturn turns direct, it is time for all in authority to take its rightful responsibilities. I hope this will herald a time when the police (and all white people) in this country will begin taking responsibility for the unimaginable racial issues (and the ones that may seem minor) that have come so dramatically to our attention while Saturn has been retrograde.
Where in your life have you become aware of the need to take responsibility? It is possible that you were unaware of this issue before Saturn turned retrograde (March 2015). Now that you are aware of it, what are you going to do to take responsibility and make the necessary change?

This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!
If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!
Tuesday, July 28 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Sagittarius) following a trine to Jupiter at 9:36 AM EDT, until she enters Capricorn at 2:47 PM EDT.
Thursday, July 30, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Capricorn) following a sextile to Saturn at 2:50 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 5:41 PM EDT.
Saturday, August 1, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Aquarius) following opposition to Venus at 6:02 PM EDT until she enters Pisces at 6:36 PM EDT.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: June 15, 2015 through June 21, 2015
This brings us to a week that certainly looks like a simple, uncomplicated, and pleasant week. Wow. Two weeks in a row!
Are you taking an early Summer vacation? This would be a great week for it. With very little external turmoil or intensity, we can make our own path more easily. Our equilibrium is more in our control as the planetary cycles buzz along quietly in the background.
My own life is happily reflecting the ease of this past week, as I am delighted to see that there is the opportunity for this ease to continue a bit longer.

There are a ton of uncertainties in the life path I find myself on and yet I feel relaxed, calm, and reaching out for more focus. It is a relief to have Mercury Retrograde behind us in order to move forward effectively.
I do want to give you a heads up of what is ahead of us. On July 25th, Venus is turning retrograde. What could that possibly hold for us? If you have been following my posts for any length of time, you have some understanding of Mercury retrograde… this is similar.
Take what you know about Mercury retrograde and consider what Venus refers to as opposed to what Mercury refers to. Think of Venus as the teacher of love and beauty. This is not the nurturing, parenting kind of love. This is a love of desire and urges that long to create beauty.
During this time, you may need to look back at decisions made since the last time Venus was retrograde (between December 21, 2013 and January 31, 2014).
For many of us, Venus will represent our most intimate relationships. For some of us, it will represent the beauty we create in the world, whether that is an artistic creation or our presentation of self.
None of us can re-write history and yet, we certainly can take steps to clean up the messes we may have left behind. Do you need to look again at how you have managed your own sense of what is important in your creativity and your love-life?
There may be issues left unresolved. Assuaging your guilt is never helpful; but a simple, clear apology will go a long way toward helping everyone move forward.

HIDE NOTHING
Monday, June 15, 2015:
We begin the week in the dark phase of the Moon. As she prepares for Tuesday’s New Moon, she moves through Gemini making lovely aspects to Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus. Our curiosity may very well be inclined in the direction of unusual and expansive ideas on relationship. We are interested in how we and others express and appreciate beauty.
With the square to Neptune at 6:59 AM EDT, it is possible that the morning will bring some confusion or even a sense of suffering. The impact of the transits to the Moon are not long lasting. The Gemini Moon likes to stay on superficial, uncomplicated, and upbeat topics. So, it is unlikely you will stay in the confusion or suffering for long.
Monday evening would be a great time for social interactions along with the enjoyment of simple and yet profound conversations.
If there’s someone in your life that you are just getting to know, Monday would be a fun evening to explore the more unique contributions you each bring to the conversation. Whatever communication you are engaged in, regardless of who they are with, you must honor your true self and hide nothing. Allow yourself to be surprised by others, embrace your most unusual friends and loved ones.

GEMINI NEW MOON: BRING NEW IDEAS TO THE TABLE
Tuesday, June 16, 2015:
Tuesday morning at 10:06 AM EDT the Gemini Moon reaches the New Moon Phase as we explore with great curiosity a new way viewing and embracing the diversity of your community. Ask yourself (and others) the questions you really need the answers to. Begin the process of exploring where others people’s opinions and viewpoints are very different from your own. At this New Moon, you will want to plant the seed of new understanding.
At 10:06 AM, following the conjunction with the Sun, the Moon is VOC* until she enters Cancer at 6:51 PM EDT.
Yes, the entire workday the Moon is VOC*; during which time it is best to rest, recuperate, and have minimal expectations regarding accomplishment.
Tuesday evening is best spent at home with loved ones. Sure, get out those photo albums, reminisce about old memories or move forward to create new memories of shared time.
A home cooked meal on Tuesday evening will be much appreciated. Cook for your loved ones or allow them to cook for you. This will be a powerful evening to offer or receive protective, loving, nurturing energy.

MOTIVATED BY LOVE
Wednesday, June 17, 2015:
Wednesday, the Cancer Moon remains calm and undisturbed. We are motivated by love, kindness, and connection. Our feelings run deep, and we may be moody and perhaps need some time alone.
We may enjoy and be soothed by domestic activities, emotional connections with women, and nurturing activities in general. Let yourself reminisce about the past, rest in meditation, or take a bubble bath.
In the morning, the Moon trine Neptune allows us to see the world through rose colored glasses. By evening, when the Moon opposes Pluto, we may be reminded of the darker side of human love and family connections. Again, don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. We must look clearly at the dark side in order to see the full illumination of the light.
Each of us resonates more fully with certain signs than others. If you resonate with the Cancer archetype, Wednesday and Thursday will be great for you. If love, nurturing, babies, and photo albums do not resonate with you, you may feel a certain amount of anxiety. Get the domestic chores out of the way and take yourself out to dinner!

FEEL YOUR WAY
Thursday, June 18, 2015:
Thursday is another day of little astrological note. The Moon continues through Cancer, preparing the way for the Sun to follow in several days!
The sign of Cancer, represented by the crab, brings us face-to-face with the sensitivity of feeling. When Cancer is highly active, our mental facilities slow down as our emotional nature takes precedent. Logic goes out the window as we feel our way along this part of the path.
For those of us with little or no water in our natal charts, this may feel less than genuine. Regardless of our individual make-up, it will ease the path forward as you learn to trust this sensitivity. Allow flow without resistance.
Consider nostalgia; allow tears to assist in whatever healing process you may be engaged in.

SEEK EXPRESSION
Friday, June 19, 2015:
While we slept, there was a brief VOC* Moon before she entered Leo at 2:23 AM EDT on Friday morning. When we awake, we immediately sense an increase of energy and the ability to look outside our insular lives with an awareness of the necessity of playful human interaction.
It feels to me almost as though there is an invisible barrier between our understanding and the reality of the world around us. Early this week, we were content to look inward and keep our focus on our closest circle of family and friends.
However, with the Moon newly in Leo and the weekend at our fingertips, we seek connection. We understand the necessity of drawing others into our circle or simply expanding that circle.
Friday afternoon/evening will be dominated by the energy of the Leo Moon sextile Mercury (in its home sign of Gemini). What communications do you need to deliver? Whatever you feel you must say may need some embellishment and even a touch of drama.
This is a good time to deliver communication if it is worthy of that embellishment! Please think about the generosity of the Leo Moon as she offers an opportunity for you to tell your story and express your own generosity and open hearted self. Do not put your light under a basket, seek expression!

EXPECT FUN
Saturday, June 20, 2015:
Saturday is an important day being that it is the last day with the Sun in Gemini. Tomorrow we reach the solstice, Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere and the Sun enters Cancer.
There is an inward feel to Cancer that we will encounter and adapt to over the coming days. For today, enjoy the outwardly expressive energy of the Sun still in Gemini.
The Moon is in Leo all of Saturday and well into Sunday. The Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Leo gives us a great deal of energy for socialization and playfulness.
Here in Vermont, Summer is so short and passes so quickly. It is important that we take advantage of each and every weekend. There is so much to enjoy.
On Saturday, that playful Leo Moon makes contact with both Venus and Jupiter, expanding our love, pleasure, and our ability to connect and play with others. This would be a great day for a party, wedding, or campfire with friends!
Don’t waste this day. Either do something exciting, active, and fun or rest in the warmth of the Sun, allowing her to heal every atom of your soul.
Expect fun and pleasure.

SUMMER SOLSTICE IN CANCER
Sunday, June 21, 2015:
Get up early on Sunday morning to enjoy the fun playfulness as the Leo Moon forms a lovely sextile with Mars. Enjoy an early morning romp with your children, your pets, or your partner.
At 12:09 PM EDT, following a square to Saturn, the Moon is VOC* until 12:59 PM EDT when she enters Virgo. Less than an hour with the VOC* Moon!
At 12:37 PM EDT, the Sun leaves Gemini behind to enter Cancer!
This brings us to the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere! Here, we reach the part of summer where we simply want to play with our children in the backyard and sip cocktails lazily in the afternoon. We feel the need to nurture ourselves with the Sun, the lakes, rivers and ocean!
During this upcoming month, we long to make our home a haven of safety and love. Plan gatherings of close friends and family. While the Sun moves through Cancer, it is important to acknowledge the people who nurture your life and to take stock of where you are bringing healing or nurturing energy to those around you.
At 12:59 PM EDT, the Moon enters Virgo leading us to a lovely evening ideally suited for wonderful family connections over shared food. Have a cookout or take your close family members out for a meal. Show, receive, and spread love wherever you are.
