Monday, March 20, 2017:

The week begins with the Sun entering Aries at 6:28 AM EDT. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, this is the Spring Equinox! It is bringing with it longer days, a vision for the future, new ideas, and new plans.

The Spring Equinox alerts us to a time of new beginning with plenty of reason to celebrate! This is a moment of balance and equanimity as the earth’s axis is pointing neither away from nor toward the Sun.

The shift may not initially feel as energizing as you may expect. With the expansive Sagittarius Moon joining with overly serious Saturn at 6:38 AM EDT, followed by her movement into Capricorn at 11:31 AM EDT, there is seriousness and a conservative edge to the day.

At 11:59 AM EDT, the Capricorn Moon forms a challenging aspect to the Sun, newly in Aries. Consider that Capricorn is the sign of maturity, authority, and caution while Aries is the sign of youthfulness, impatience, and excitability. When these two signs challenge each other, something has to give.

This is the Third Quarter Square phase of the Moon; it is a time of release. What has been building since the New Moon on March 27? Take it easy today. Let go and prepare for warmer days. Spring will soon begin in earnest.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:38 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 11:31 AM EDT.

Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

Tuesday, March 21, 2017:

Tuesday, as the emotional Moon continues through responsible Capricorn, you are reminded that even with Spring in the air you have plenty of work to do.

At 12:17 PM EDT, even your serious nature welcomes your imagination and ability to dream. With a positive sextile aspect between the Moon and Neptune, your dreams can produce real world and practical results.

At 6:20 PM EDT, when the Moon forms a challenging square to Mercury. You are serious about the ideas that have grasped your attention.

All in all, this is a simple day of hard work with a lovely bit of inspiration. Utilize that inspiration; it will serve practical reality.

Wednesday, March 22, 2017:

Wednesday may start out a bit messy. The Aries Sun is ready to shine a little brighter without the restrictions of the Capricorn Moon. However, as the day begins, the serious Capricorn Moon forms a challenging square aspect to unsettling Uranus.

The Capricorn Moon seeks structure and demands responsibility, and yet, Uranus throws a monkey wrench into that idea as he seeks innovation and even revolution. This combination can create aggravation and upheaval throughout the morning. Work on your ability to be flexible; it may not come easily but will be well worth the effort.

The rest of the day with the Moon VOC* may just feel a little off kilter. Don’t attach yourself too much to accomplishments or forced engagements. At 10:29 PM EDT, the Moon will enter progressive Aquarius bringing a much greater sense of freedom and lightness to Thursday morning.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:20 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 10:29 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

Thursday, March 23, 2017:

Thursday begins with a lovely sextile between the quirky Aquarius Moon and beautiful Venus. Enjoy the morning.

Some agitation may occur when the Moon squares aggressive Mars at 5:20 PM EDT. Use your body to release this tension, go for a walk, chop some wood, or engage your body with physical effort.

As the evening approaches, you will feel expressive Mercury beginning to form a challenging square aspect to powerful Pluto, which will be exact at 8:44 PM EDT. Be aware of verbal power dynamics. Continue to make a concerted effort toward internal and external flexibility. Watch your responses to communications that come your way. Take three slow breaths before responding.

Don’t take what is said personally and watch the words that come out of your mouth as well. It is easy to say things that will be taken in a way that you many not intend. Be aware of your words, emails, and all communications.

This would be an excellent evening for deep study or to work on a powerful speech or other significant writing project.

Friday, March 24, 2017:

If you were engaged in a significant conversation, an important study, or a writing project on Thursday, Friday will be the day to expand upon and illuminate those conversations and ideas. At 8:45AM EDT, Mercury opposes Jupiter expanding your creative intelligence, your faith and belief in your ideas.

With the Moon in objective, progressive Aquarius forming delightful aspects to expansive Jupiter, thoughtful Mercury, and quirky Uranus, you can expect this to be a highly innovative day for humanitarian efforts, expansive ideas, and bringing your voice to a public arena. This is the full illumination of a cycle that began on October 11, 2016! Watch what is happening in the current political administration.

Pay attention for big revelations in your own life and on the world and national stage.

Saturday March 25, 2017:

Saturday offers a day to engage in actively seeking love and passively accepting love. Both sides are offered. At 6:07 AM EDT, the Moon enters compassionate, dreamy Pisces enabling us to swim within deeply emotional waters. At 6:17 AM EDT, the Sun and Venus come together in the highly assertive and active sign of Aries. Emotionally, you may get lost in sensitivity and imagination while simultaneously you know you must take action to directly go after what you truly desire. Make direct contact with love or expressions of beauty.

Once you have made direct contact with the object of your desire, allow yourself to passively engage in deep compassion or dreamy mystical states.

Bring your attention to love and beauty. This is a day made for artists and lovers.

Sunday, March 26, 2017:

Sunday continues with some of the dreamy sensitivity from Saturday courtesy of the surreal Pisces Moon.

But, you probably won’t be thinking too much about all of that as there is intense excitement in the air that will require all of your attention! At 11:05 AM EDT, Mercury conjoins with Uranus beginning a one year cycle of mental stimulation. Pay attention to unusual, new, or exciting ideas that come to mind. Perhaps you will hear or read something that surprises, excites, or even shocks you. Unexpected information may be revealed that will begin a new process in your life.

If you experience any sort of sluggishness or depression on Sunday, stop and consider what is it that needs to be said that you are avoiding. Something wants to be revealed. Go ahead, say it! Yes, it may very well set you on a new path, but it is a path that must be taken.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 14, 2016 through March 20, 2016

I think it is safe to say that we can anticipate a very active week!

With Mercury square Saturn on Monday, sextile Pluto and opposing Jupiter on Tuesday, and then conjunct Chiron on Thursday, the planet of quick motion and thinking is highly engaged throughout the week. If you are waiting for calm, quiet days, you may have to wait for a while. Expect ideas and thinking to be overly active and moving in many directions at once.

Jupiter makes a glorious trine to Pluto on Wednesday bringing a flow of opportunity and empowerment. Thursday morning you will want to pay special attention to your meditation, as there is the suggestion of deep healing within the mind as Mercury conjunct Chiron.

On Sunday, the Sun enters Aries and we herald in the Spring Equinox. This is a moment we look forward to as it heralds the moment of Spring! This brings us to the pivotal moment in the year when day equals night; when the light and dark equalize. You can feel it in the air, hear it in the songbirds, and see it in the quality of light.

We all breathe a sign of relief.

Monday, March 14, 2016:

The week begins with the Moon in Gemini, echoing the activity within our minds even as we begin the week. At 3:25 PM EDT, Mercury squares Saturn. When these two planets come together, the mind or what the mind perceives becomes serious. Responsibility cannot be ignored, and you may encounter some type of restriction to your ideas or your thinking. Perhaps, there is fear around some communication that you know is necessary.

This is the First Quarter Square in the cycle between Mercury and Saturn. Something that began back in November 2015 is requiring that you give it attention and take action on it now. Did you start a new study, a new serious conversation, or did you take on a new responsibility at that time? If so, now is the time to push that agenda forward in a direct manner. The full results of the action you take now will be fully expressed in June.

Venus squares Mars on Monday afternoon as well. An important thing to understand when Venus squares Mars is that you need to do something concrete to bring your primary relationship forward. What does your relationship need now? If you are not in a primary relationship, you can use this aspect to care for your primary relationship to yourself or to take direct action in seeking out a partner. If you are in a primary relationship (or in the process of developing one you would like to see thrive), there are things that must be shared and things you need to say that have not yet been said.

Yes, there is a risk involved. However, not saying what needs to be said will extract a high cost and will not reflect reality.

Pay attention to any issues that come up between you and a partner over the next day or two. Do not underestimate the importance of how you both manage your communications.

Tuesday, March 15, 2016:

Before you even wake up this morning, there are two major aspects in the heavens. At 2:58 AM EDT, Mercury sextile Pluto, suggesting an opportunity of empowerment is able to come out of the challenging thoughts or communications you had on Monday.

Perhaps, there is some deep problematic thinking that you are being asked to release. Keep your eyes open and let go of thoughts that are holding you back. Whatever is released now will open your ability to bring your true gifts into the world.

Mercury opposes Jupiter at 5:41 AM EDT, suggesting clarity on what began in early August 2015. This is a cycle of expanding your thinking and your ability to communicate. There is still more that needs to be said. Yes, go ahead and say it. It is okay. It is necessary.

Tuesday also brings us to the First-Quarter Moon, asking that we consider what needs to be done to move forward with the seed you planted at the New Moon on March 8th.

Yes, the First-Quarter Moon is a square between the Sun and Moon, and generally, feels restrictive and heavy. You may feel this as a sense of desiring something that is totally incompatible with something else that you deeply need; this often shows up as a conflict between our desires and our needs.

Finding balance may be a challenge. In case of interpersonal conflict, pay attention. Is this really an external conflict with another or is it an internal conflict that you are projecting onto a relationship? Be honest with yourself.

At 8:57 PM EDT, the Moon enters Cancer offering the simplicity of love at the end of a deeply stressful day. Rest in comfort, allowing love to open your heart.

Take advantage of the powerful, expansive energies available during the middle of this week. At 4:05 PM EDT, Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion forms a free-flowing trine aspect to Pluto, the energy of divinity and empowerment.

At this time, you are more capable than you know of bringing full manifestation into an area you have invested great energy into. You may feel powerful, capable, and even lucky at this time. Do not wait passively for this transit to activate your life. Get out into the world, reach for what your heart desires and be ready to accept what is given.

Consider your strengths and what you have to offer the world. Understand that as you help others, so you help yourself. Go out in the world today and offer your best actions for the future of humankind, even if that consists only of showing kindness to the grocery clerk or the homeless person on the street.

Synchronicity and surprising incidents may support you in ways that are unexpected or even jaw dropping. If you have personal planets or angles between 15° and 18° of any earth sign (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn), this will be most auspicious in your circumstances and life.

Think back to what you acquired understanding about during the time between the Summer of 2013 & Spring of 2014. Now is the time to bring that knowledge into a fuller experience of your life; what can you now teach others that you learned at that time? Understand the importance of what you bring to the table and freely teach what you deeply understand.

Keep yourself open to possibilities, wonder, and magic.

Thursday, March 17, 2016:

On Thursday, you will want to focus your attention on releasing and healing negative thought patterns. Mercury conjunct Chiron at 9:28 AM EDT; this begins a cycle of healing deeply negative patterns that have taken root in your mind since childhood.

In order to work effectively with this opportunity, it is important to maintain deep love and compassion for yourself and the reasons you built these patterns in the first place.

Chances are that the patterns were formed in early childhood as a way to protect your self. That protection is no longer needed and the pattern left behind is now holding you back. Look deeply and release.

Firmly embedded patterns in your mind took time to build and will take time to dismantle. Perhaps, the first step is to begin that meditation practice you have talked about for so long. In this process, you must remember love and compassion to the self.

Thursday’s Cancer Moon assists in keeping you close to your heart and your loved ones. Show kindness in all your interactions.

Friday, March 18, 2016:

If it were possible for you to take a long weekend, this would be a lovely day to start it. It looks like a delightful weekend ahead. At 3:55 AM EDT, the Moon enters Leo and we are able to leave behind some of the more pressing emotional concerns that have held over since the New Moon and solar eclipse from last week.

Friday is not a day to try to keep yourself to a strict schedule or to be overly concerned with accomplishments or details. This is a day to let loose and move in the direction of what pulls you forward. With the Moon in feisty, playful Leo, forming a free flow of energy (trine) to Mars in Sagittarius this is a time for playful expression, dramatic play, and sheer pleasure.

Don’t take yourself too seriously, and don’t allow yourself to be put into a box that is too tight to fit your expansive nature.

Allow others to express themselves freely by make this a day of no judgment. Yes, dance as if no one were watching… and make space for others to do the same.

Saturday, March 19, 2016:

More delightful fun, and playful energy continues through Saturday. Get away from your ordinary life this weekend if you can. Saturday is the last full day of the Sun in Pisces. Enjoy the sense of touching on an intangible dream.

A Grand Trine is formed on Saturday between the Moon in Leo, Saturn in Sagittarius, and Uranus in Aries. You will want to take an active role in making sure any needs and desires you have for friendship and socialization get met.

This Grand Fire Trine can reflect a situation in which you expect others to understand your needs (do you really think they can read your mind?) and you could get left out in the cold. If you make it clear that you want the connection, I expect that they will be delighted to include you.

This is not a day to be coy, be clear and direct about your desires. Go for what you want. Seek enthusiasm, warmth, and playful self-expression.

Sunday, March 20, 2016:

On Sunday, be ready to welcome the new astrological year! 😉

The Sun enters Aries (The Spring Equinox) at 12:30 AM EDT and we release the chill of winter to welcome the warmth of Spring. Spring begins (here in the Northern Hemisphere) as we come to this pivotal moment when the length of the day equals the length of the night.

We all breathe a sign of relief with the knowledge that it is time to make a new start and to welcome all new beginnings.

Aries is the sign of the Ram, the first sign of the zodiac, and has the energy of a newborn infant demanding his right to be here in all his fiery glory. Release the inward cold of winter, break the chains that have held you back, and take your first steps forward into the unknown excitement ahead.

‘Spring Fever’ is just around the corner as plants take on vigorous growth and even LOVE is in the air.

Go ahead! This is the time to initiate new endeavors, love affairs, and to simply embrace life on all levels.
