Queen Elizabeth II was Queen of the United Kingdom from February 6, 1952, until her death in September 2022. She was the queen of 32 sovereign states during her life and 15 at the time of her death. She reigned as Queen for 70 plus years, longer than any other British monarch. This was the longest reign of any female head of state in history.
