Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: August 17, 2015 through August 23, 2015
Another week with just the dailies! My vacation ends when the Sun leaves Leo behind and enters Virgo. Then I will get back to work with a vengeance!!
As the Sun enters Virgo we all become more concerned with our path forward!
Let Laurie of Astrolore help you prepare! Make your appointment today!
We will work together with your individual horoscope to explore your hopes, dreams, goals, and the reality of your life purpose.

BUILDING NEW PATHWAYS
Monday, August 17, 2015:
This week starts out pleasantly with the Moon in Virgo stabilized by the gentle sextile connection with Saturn. You are able to connect gently, on a deep heart level, with your responsibilities and the reality of your situation. As the Moon is in her early days of waxing (following the New Moon last Friday) you are able to explore the direction you have chosen. Your effort is clear and stable as you start a new project or situation.
Take a long lunch break this afternoon, as the Moon is VOC* between 12:17 PM EST and 3:23 PM EST.
The best time to accomplish what needs to be done will be the morning and the late afternoon. This is an evening built for beginning new connections, and renewing old connections with others. Perhaps you are adjusting to a new partnership or are renewing a connection with a partner. Seek out new pathways in communications. All in all this is a simple day of pleasure even as you work and put effort into your new path forward.

UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR PATH HAS CHANGED
Tuesday, August 18, 2015:
Tuesday morning you may feel surprisingly energized and actively engaged in connecting with others. This is a pleasant day with very little complication.
However, as you approach evening you may become aware of your heart turning toward the pain of a recent separation or past difficult encounter. This is on a relatively light level of feeling and emotion; allow your-self to feel the uncomfortable emotion and yet not be swept into a prolonged state of nostalgia or regret.
There really is no need for it!
It is a passing cloud of emotion that can be simply touched and released. It is important to understand that your path has changed and your eyes are best utilized riveted to the future.

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE; THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME
Wednesday, August 19, 2015:
Wednesday morning may begin with unexpected excitement or even an unexpected surprise. Your heart is open and ready for a new adventure.
At 11:43 AM EST Venus trines Uranus.
Once again I am going to ask you to look back at early March 2015. That was the beginning of the current cycle between Venus and Uranus. This is a cycle of unexpected love, changing values, and/or surprising financial or artistic expansion. During Venus retrograde (July 25 2015 – September 6 2015), we have much to learn about love, money, resources, and beauty.
You must understand the importance of being happy within yourself before you can be happy with anything, anyone, and anywhere on this beautiful planet!
Consider the excitement that began in early March of this year. Perhaps it has not been an easy road to follow since that time. But on Wednesday you should be able to have a new glimpse of the direction it is bringing you and the value that is growing out of that time in March. Because of the retrograde, Venus trines Uranus three times (June 29 2015, August 19 2015, and September 22, 2015), this gives you an extended time frame to continue adjusting your steps to a path of innovation and forward thinking in your relationships and finances.
The day ends on a sweet note of simply understanding that you are in the right place at the right time. Celebrate that knowledge.

TIME ALONE IS VALUABLE
Thursday, August 20, 2015:
On Thursday we awake to the Moon in Scorpio. You will be aware of more depth, intensity, and introspection. You probably would love to stay in bed to absorb this energy without the distraction of the outside world.
Thus far the week has been good for social interactions and you have accomplished significant connections with others.
However, Thursday is not a great day for socializing and will be best managed with less social activity. Head home early with the anticipation of time alone.
If you try to push yourself into connecting with others because it is expected of you, you could easily find yourself in an unhealthy situation. Stay away from alcohol or other substances.
What you need is quiet time alone in contemplation.

RELEASE WITH GRATITUDE
Friday, August 21, 2015:
On Friday we have another cycle to consider as the Sun squares Saturn (6:40 PM EST). This is a yearly cycle of stabilizing core potential. As the Sun connects with Saturn it shines its warmth and light upon a serious area of hard work, structure, and reality.
On November 18, 2014 this cycle started. Consider what began that somehow brought determination, maturity, and structure to your life. Did you take on a new responsibility or finally face reality at that time? If you know where 7° Sagittarius is in your chart it will give you a hint of the area where you have needed to develop maturity in order to come to a place of deep self-respect. On approximately February 23, 2015, you likely took a direct action on the process that had begun; on May 22, 2015, you were brought to the full illumination of the cycle. What were you able to see that had matured? If you neglected the work that was being asked of you, there would have been clarity of your failure.
Now, at this point of the cycle, you are learning to let go/ release. You have learned a great deal throughout the cycle and will begin anew at the end of November. This will bring a new path of seeking an ever-deeper level of self-understanding and responsibility for your own reality.
Now, I know that is a lot of talk about cycles. To keep it simple just think about the Sun square Saturn on Friday. This is not apt to be an easy day, you are being asked to let go of something that you have worked hard on. You may not be prepared to release it. Contemplate deeply. Look clearly at the reality. Where do you find yourself in connection with the above-mentioned dates? What began last fall was clear in the spring, and you are now releasing?
Releasing something does not mean throwing something away that is of great value to your future. It is seeing the reality of what you have built, what you have learned along the way, and what you are ready to release.
Look at the stability in your life that has been built since last November. Begin the process of release with deep gratitude.

TAKE ACTION
Saturday, August 22, 2015:
Saturday brings us to the First Quarter Moon; this is a square between the Sun, still in Leo, and the Moon in Scorpio. When the Sun and the Moon form a square aspect there is tension caused by the difficulty of being pulled in two directions. You know you must step forward, but which direction to choose? The struggle will be settled when you choose the action to be taken and you step forward into that action.
Last week on Friday, August 14 was the New Moon. At that time we talked about planting a seed of full expression (as that Moon was in Leo).
The action required now is to bring forth that seed. Go ahead and make that phone call, hire that coach, sign up for that class. Take an action that pulls you out of your comfort zone and sets you on the path for full expression.
At 2:32 PM EST the moon is VOC* for a very short period of time until she enters Sagittarius at 3:41 PM EST. This brings us to an evening of exploration and enjoyment. Get outside of yourself; gather with people outside of your normal comfort zone. Find people who will show you a different perspective on the world, open to seeing the world from a new vantage point.
This is also the last day/ evening with the Sun in Leo! Everything is about to change! Enjoy this one!

BE REALISTIC AS YOU APPROACH YOUR GOALS
Sunday August 23, 2015:
Sunday bring us to the Sun in Virgo (5:37AM EST)! Have you ever wondered why it is so easy to head back to school this time of year? It is a natural rhythm of the Universe that this is the time to begin a new study or to bring new organization in all areas of your life. Think about the time when the Sun moves through each sign and the season it heralds. While the Sun moved through Leo you probably spent some time on the beach, enjoyed gatherings, parties, and time spent playing and enjoying the hot summer Sun.
Now, as the Sun enters Virgo we get serious about our life purpose and serious about study, about detail, about service to others. Virgo is a sign that is often misunderstood, as it is seen as critical and nitpicky. However, Virgo is only critical because it sees its potential.
As the Sun enters Virgo you are able to see the potential of what you can accomplish, learn, or the service you can provide to others. The problem is when your expectations are out of alignment with reality. Be kind to yourself (and to others) as you enter this new phase. Be realistic about what you can accomplish, what you can learn, and what you can do.
Once you have done that, keep your eye on the goal and you will find yourself moving in the right direction.

This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!
If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!

Monday, August 17, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Virgo) following a sextile to Saturn at 12:17 PM EST, until she enters Libra at 3:23 PM EDT.

Wednesday, August 19, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Libra) following a sextile to the Sun at 9:57 PM EST until she enters Scorpio Thursday morning at 4:25 AM EST.

Saturday, August 22, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Scorpio) following a square to the Sun at 2:32 PM EST until she enters Sagittarius at 3:41 PM EST.
__________________________________________________________
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
