Birdsong brings relief
to my longing
I’m just as ecstatic as they are,
but with nothing to say!
Please universal soul, practice
some song or something through me!
From Essential Rum

Prepare yourself for a week of change as three planets move into new signs before the week is up. This always amps things up and keeps us from getting in a rut.
The planets represent our basic human drives and as they change sign our motivations and behaviors change with them. The three inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) beyond the Luminaries (Sun & Moon) each move forward into a new sign this week. Our thoughts (Mercury), values (Venus), and physical drive (Mars) each shift to new/different motivations, expectations, and behaviors this week.
Venus enters Sagittarius on Wednesday after being in Scorpio since December 5th. You can expect your personal values to lighten-up as you seek more playful exploration with your loved one. After the past weeks of focusing on depth and intensity you are ready for some simple fun.
On Friday Mercury enters Aquarius having been in Capricorn since December 9th. With Mercury in Aquarius your emotions may take a backseat as your mind and intellect becomes stimulated in interesting and unusual pursuits. Do not get too comfortable in intellectual excitement as Mercury will be turning retrograde next Tuesday January 5th,only to enter Capricorn on January 8th.
Be sure to begin preparations for the upcoming Mercury retrograde; begin making that list of all the projects and communications that have been left undone in your life, your business, and in your relationships. Be sure to follow Astrolore’s Facebook page for more information on the Mercury retrograde.
Mars enters Scorpio on Sunday morning after being in Libra since November 12th. This encourages you to move into deeper levels of intensity in certain areas of your life. Your actions and attitudes may begin to reflect more intensity and passion. Because Mars is the planet of action and your sexual drive, and Scorpio being the sign of intense depth and passion, you can expect Mars’ transit through Scorpio to bring sexual passion to the service of our deep reflective transformation. During this time any sexual connections may change you profoundly.
If you are paying attention you can see how these energies seem to contradict each other. But if you think deeply you will understand that your thought processes (Mercury) are expanding into unusual directions, as your personal values (Venus) lighten up and seek playfulness, and your actions (Mars) take you to deep introspection.
That is a lot of activity as these energies shift and change. You may feel a bit off-balance, unnerved, or even anxious as you adapt to the changing landscape.

Monday, December 28, 2015:
A lovely start to the week! The playful Leo Moon forms a Grand Trine in Fire with Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. This is a powerful day of excitement, enthusiasm and fun!
And… it is even better than that! The excitement, enthusiasm, and fun are firmly secure and stabilized in reality by the presence of Saturn.
You have the opportunity at this time to ground your dreams and pleasures into a stable form. Work with this. It is a short window of time, connect with this energy during your morning meditation. Open your heart in full generosity to others.
Remember that Uranus turned direct on Friday night after being retrograde since late July. Did you have an epiphany, or was there a sudden change between Friday evening and Saturday evening?
Do you have the sense of something held tightly suddenly being released; a sense of new-found freedom? Keep your heart open to your newly revealed individuality while remaining fully grounded in the reality you find yourself in.
Tuesday, December 29, 2015:
Mercury squares Mars on Tuesday, suggesting the importance of being aware of your words and communications. A lack of awareness or consideration in communication could easily backfire into an unpleasant and unnecessary conversation. On a positive note, this would be a great time for actively asserting your opinion and/or firmly speaking your mind.
At 1:59 PM EST the Moon enters Virgo and your emotions may settle into deeper efficiency and order. The afternoon would be great for structured and specific planning of the upcoming year. Remember, it is up to you (within certain parameters) to create your future through directing your mind with proper planning. Don’t leave the year 2016 to chance. Sit with the ideas, make a plan, and explore the possibilities that are right around the bend.
On Tuesday take time to look back to February 2015. That was the beginning of a cycle that is now reaching toward its conclusion, which will take place in late February 2016. This is the cycle of a dream. What dream began last February? In looking at the entire cycle you are able to learn its lessons and settle it’s teachings deeply in your heart and soul.
In late May you probably took active steps to build on the dream that began in February; by the end of August the results of your choices were clear to you. Had that dream been a healthy one or was it built on unrealistic fantasy or even deception? By the end of November the situation likely came to a crisis point where you had to make a decision to release, that phase of the dream or the dream altogether, order to start a new one at the next cycle in February 2016.
Right now you are at a point in the cycle where you able to explore where you are in the process and what the next phase or the new dream will be. Enjoy the process. Dream Big. Dream often!

New Years - Money from Heaven

New Years – Money from Heaven

Wednesday, December 30, 2015:
The Moon in Virgo all day allows us a day of relatively stable emotions and the ability to focus on whatever tasks we are called to give our attention to.
However, you may be very aware of a more exciting level of energy when you wake up on Wednesday morning; at 2:16 AM EST Venus entered Sagittarius after being in Scorpio since early December. While in Scorpio our values, sense of beauty and love were moving through a deep process of transformation. Now Venus asks us to open our hearts to adventure and excitement. Allow love to move you with a light uncomplicated touch. This is not the time to expect intense depth of connection but a time to enjoy a light flow that is available in our connection to those we love.
Thursday, December 31, 2015:
There’s nothing to get in the way of whatever New Years Eve celebration you want to create for yourself. The Moon is in Virgo suggesting the ability to approach this holiday with practicality, efficiency, and perhaps even a simple desire to make it better for others. You are not likely to desire anything too elaborate or over-the-top in terms of celebrating. You may be far less likely to overindulge then perhaps you have in the past. This should be a relatively easy-going and simple day. My recommendation would be to clean and straighten your home; prepare things so that when you wake up on Friday morning you will have a new slate, a clean house and a list of practical considerations moving forward.
Nothing dramatic about this day; simply enjoy.
Friday, January 1, 2016:
The Moon enters Libra long before the day begins (1:41 AM EST)… possibly even before you fell asleep, if you celebrated into the early morning hours.
We begin the New Year with the Moon in Libra forming a sextile aspect to Venus. On an emotional level we have the opportunity to open our hearts to a new, lighter, easier expression of love. This light and friendly love could last for the afternoon or for a lifetime.
As the day winds down, Mercury enters Aquarius at 9:19 PM EST. Mercury represents our thought processes and the way we think and communicate. Since December 9th, Mercury has been in Capricorn . While in Capricorn you may have experienced your mind as ambitious, serious, and hard-working; or perhaps your experience was more of a fearful, overly cautious, and restricted mindset. Consider your experience over the past three weeks. If your thought processes have been in a place of fear or restriction, now is the time to break free of that heavy energy and find new perspectives to explore. If your mind has been ambitious and hard-working now is the time to open to more innovation even as you hold on to the lessons of that serious mind space. In the days ahead your thinking will be more able to embrace new possibilities and see the world from new perspectives. Be grateful.
Saturday, January 2, 2016:
It is nice to have The New Year 2016 begin as we come into a weekend. This way we have the entire weekend to enjoy rest and downtime before heading back to our job and responsibilities. The Solstice, Christmas, New Years; all the winter holidays have passed.
Now we must face the reality of winter, the reality that includes heading back to the responsibilities, drudgery, and joy of our everyday lives.
On Saturday the Third Quarter Moon is in Libra. The Libra Moon forms a Square to the Sun, a square to Pluto, and an opposition to Uranus. This is a day of stress, frustration, or agitation. Perhaps it is simply the natural let-down that follows the excitement of the holidays; difficulty we have facing the reality to come.
Spend the afternoon planning a little get away with a loved one. Get it on the calendar now even if it’s not going to happen until February or March. Start the plan now it will lighten your load.

Sunday, January 3, 2016:
Sunday begins slowly with the Moon and Mars in Libra. There’s no hurry to get this day started, this is a great day to enjoy a quiet slow morning.
At 9:32 AM EST Mars enters Scorpio after being in Libra since November 12th. Mars is the planet of action, the planet that gives us the courage and energy to take action on any given circumstance. While Mars moved through Libra we may have been more careful than necessary. Perhaps you took other peoples opinions into consideration more than you should have or you were overly concerned about pleasing others.
Now as Mars enters Scorpio your focus changes. In Scorpio, Mars wants to get to the bottom of things, to understand the hidden agendas in order to transform the manner and the use of physical and/or sexual energy. This is an intensely passionate cycle, which can raise your sexuality to great heights of intensity.
This is a time to take on projects that require intensity and passion to help Mars direct its energies in a positive manner. Mars will remain in Scorpio until March 5th when he will enter Sagittarius.
Passion and intensity can certainly create great change in your life between now and March 5th. If you have planets or angles in Scorpio you will feel this more strongly and it will more likely impact your life in a deep way. Ride the wave of passion and change, wherever it shows up in your life.
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
