Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: August 7, 2017 through August 13, 2017

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenge is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

The big news of this week comes on Saturday at 9:00 PM EDT when Mercury turns retrograde at 11° Virgo. Take time to prepare for the upcoming three weeks. Mercury will turn direct once again on September 5th. If you have followed my writing over the years, you’re familiar with the best ways to work right through retrograde.

4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde:

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!
  2. Get a notebook and a pen. Make a list of everything that you have begun but haven’t completed in the past few months.
  3. During the retrograde, get to work! Accomplish what is on this list and only what is on this list.
  4. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, or take on new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs.

Mercury retrograde brings us a great gift, the perfect opportunity to wrap up loose ends!

CHANGE YOUR REALITY – AQUARIUS LUNAR ECLIPSE

Monday, August 7, 2017:

Monday is one of the most powerful days of the incredibly transformative summer of 2017.

This morning brings an opposition from the Aquarius Moon to aggressive Mars and with it the possibility of being angered by someone’s attempt to curb the direction of your opinions and ideas. Let it slide. It is of little importance in the big picture.

At 2:11 PM EDT, we come to the Aquarius Lunar Eclipse. A Lunar Eclipse is a dynamically potent Full Moon. At this time, you are offered the space and opportunity in your life to deeply shift your awareness and change your reality.

Given that this eclipse is in intellectually sharp Aquarius, it offers you an understanding of the necessity to release and clear out thought patterns that no longer serve you. One of the great gifts of Aquarius is the ability to be fully objective and not get stuck trying to please others. You know what is right for you and are willing to stand in opposition to the opinions of others as you move in the direction that spirit presents.

At this Full Moon Eclipse, allow yourself to clearly see how your unique contribution moves all of humanity forward. Consider what you need to release to allow your inventive or revolutionary gifts to increase in effectiveness and impact.

A lovely trine aspect between the Moon and Jupiter at 7:06 PM EDT releases tension and opens a pathway to hope and optimism.

AN EVENING OF FLOW

Tuesday, August 8, 2017:

On Tuesday, the quirky Aquarius Moon forms lovely sextile aspects to both stabilizing Saturn and eccentric Uranus. Yes, these are quickly passing Moon transits but we are wise to engage with them. Consider ways to bring stabilization to the areas of your life that are (or seem to be) a bit unpredictable.

Your wild side may move your life forward in significant ways if you are able to define and structure it. The most restrained parts of your life will not be emboldened if you allow some inspiration and unconventional thought into the mix.

At 5:56 PM EDT, the Moon enters empathetic Pisces and you are able to let go of the powerful tension that has encased all of us. Allow yourself to move into an undefined state of sensitivity, dreaminess, and deep compassion. This is a great evening for meditation, music, and even an extra glass of wine.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:08 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 5:56 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DREAMY SENSITIVITY

Wednesday, August 9, 2017:

Allow yourself to float unencumbered through Wednesday. The Moon continues on her journey through mystical, fanciful Pisces and asks that you listen to your intuition and allow space for dreamy sensitivity. You may notice your imagination is more active and the boundaries between yourself and others don’t hold up too well.

Pisces wants to merge, blend, and dissolve whatever separates you from others. This can translate to romantic connections as feelings that are deeply powerful, connecting, and soft.

Reality may simply be too harsh and, for the moment, you don’t have to look at it. Spending time in meditation, prayer, or on water is ideal; float, daydream and let the water wash away your concerns.

GROWTH OF LOVE

Thursday, August 10, 2017:

If you start the day early, you can take advantage of Mercury sextile Venus at (5:03 AM EDT) with sweet pillow talk and expressions of love and appreciation.

There may be a bit of a glitch when the Moon squares restrictive Saturn at 9:38 AM EDT and you must face reality and move into the workday.

However, that transit will pass quickly and the afternoon’s Sun sextile to expansive Jupiter at 5:24 PM EDT will imbue the evening with the possibility of fun, pleasure, love, and romance. These have not been easy days; it is important to enjoy this one!

With the Sun in generous, playful Leo and optimistic Jupiter in relationship-oriented Libra, you are supported in the growth of love within all types of partnerships.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:38 AM EDT until she enters Aries in the wee hours of Friday morning at 1:22 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LEARNING COURAGE

Friday, August 11, 2017:

In the wee hours of Friday morning, the Moon enters impetuous, energetic Aries. Following this determined step forward, the Moon then makes no major aspects throughout the day. This is a day of high vitality where you may feel ardently compelled to act on your feelings. You have a strong desire to begin something new… on your own. This is a time for individual action rather than partnership or group action.

Keep in mind that each astrology sign has a particular lesson to teach. Aries teaches courage. No one learns courage by sitting languidly on the couch or taking a meditative walk in the forest. You learn courage by facing your deep fears and the most stressful issues of your life. What can you face with courage today?

Keep an eye on the possible tendency to take irrational, impulsive action that has not been thought out. Consider what you are learning and find a way to stay safe even as you learn determination and bravery. Do not start anything you cannot finish up over the next few days. Aries is impulsive but has little staying power.

This is a great evening for physical activity and biking, dancing, or making love will fill the bill. Enjoy the abundance of Fire.

Friday night will be colored by the trine between Venus and Neptune at 1:17 AM EDT on Saturday morning. This aspect adds sweetness and a little romance to begin the weekend.

WRAP UP LOOSE ENDS DURING MERCURY RETROGRADE

Saturday, August 12, 2017:

Saturday begins with the sweet, soft influence of sensual Venus trine dreamy Neptune. These two lovely planets began their cycle in mid-January of 2017. What seed of mystic beauty or inspirational love was planted at that time? Do you feel a resulting flow into your life experience now? Open to the harmony and pleasure provided.

However, the forceful Aries Moon brings conflicting messages as she re-engages the square between Jupiter and Pluto. This leaves us wondering where that sweetness went. Don’t be discouraged, the afternoon will bring us back to earth as a Grand Fire Trine offers flow and support as the Moon trines both the Sun and Saturn.

Hold steady. One foot in front of the other and accept offers of kindness and connection.

The big news of the day is that at 9:00 PM EDT, Mercury turns retrograde at 11° Virgo. Take time to prepare for the upcoming three weeks. Mercury will turn direct once again on September 5th. If you have followed my writing over the years, you’re familiar with the best ways to work right three retrograde. Here is your reminder:

PEACEFUL SUNDAY

Sunday, August 13, 2017:

The Moon leaves hot-headed Aries behind and enters Taurus at 6:39 AM EDT, ushering in a lovely day of rest. There are no aspects to concern you, just the slow, steady movement of an unruffled Taurus Moon.

While the Moon is in Taurus, your emotions long for sensual delights and find deep satisfaction in earthly pursuits. You may want to work in the garden, go for a hike, organize your budget, do some cooking, or get a massage. Whatever you choose to do, make sure it is done slowly and with simplicity. Right now, there is no need for hurry or complexity.

The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 4:00 AM EDT until she enters Taurus at 6:39 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

__________________________________________________________
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

CLEAR THE PATHWAY TO LOVE

Monday, February 6, 2017:

The week begins with the Moon in talkative Gemini, pay attention and you may notice that people are very willing to talk about their emotions. Throughout the course of the day, you will find plenty of people to talk to and things to talk about.

The Moon forms lovely aspects to the vital Sun, inspirational Uranus, and idealistic Jupiter. Your conversations should have an air of expansion and the ability to stimulate excitement. Monday will be a great day to engage in any writing projects or public speaking.

The big news on Monday is that Jupiter, the planet of enthusiasm, confidence, and philosophy turns retrograde at 23° Libra. Jupiter has been moving direct since May 2016, it has been in Libra, the sign of partnership and diplomacy, since September 9, 2016.

If you have been confidently moving forward in a relationship or other diplomatic project, now is the time to slow down and look carefully at any places you may have expanded too quickly or any places where you have not built in the proper structure and groundwork to support the next steps forward. Jupiter will remain retrograde until June 9, 2017.

Over the coming months, you would be well advised to revisit conversations, plans, and expectations that have previously been made (or assumed) with loved ones or partners. You may feel quite differently regarding your partners or your ideas related to the relationship in general, now than you did in May 2016. Does your partner know what has changed in your heart? Make sure the road is clear before pushing forward again in June.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:53 PM EST until she enters Cancer on Tuesday morning at 2:03 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

CLARITY OF MIND

Tuesday, February 7, 2017:

Don’t be surprised when you wake up Tuesday morning feeling moody and emotional, and yet also intellectually inquisitive, with great mental clarity and unusual ideas.

Mercury, the planet that represents your thinking, communications, and even your perceptions, just entered unconventional, quirky Aquarius while you slept.  Mercury is moving quite quickly and will only remain in Aquarius until February 25th.  Enjoy the sharp clarity that Mercury brings in this sign, as you are able to think and communicate from a space of objectivity and without being overwhelmed with emotional depth or confusion.

This is a time when your thinking can enter innovative and unpredictable realms. During this time, you may find very unusual and unexpected solutions to problems that have recently seemed insurmountable. During times of Mercury in Aquarius, your thinking can move far outside the box of convention and into new, unpredictable arenas.

A large part of the day may hold some anxiety as you attempt to adjust to this new way of thinking because for the past month Mercury has been in conservative, authoritative Capricorn. This move signals a big change in attitude and thought.

At 8:20 PM EST, when the Cancer Moon forms a smooth flowing trine aspect to Neptune, you are able to release anxiety and allow compassion and your softer emotions to move through you, allowing you to deeply understand others and to express a very tender side of love.

THE VALUE OF FACING FEAR

The Two Brothers by Elenore Abbotta via Wiki Commons

The Two Brothers by Elenore Abbotta via Wiki Commons

Wednesday, February 8, 2017:

On Wednesday, the highly emotional Cancer Moon triggers the familiar ongoing anxiety within the culture as represented in the cardinal T-square between transformative Pluto, revolutionary Uranus, and expansive Jupiter.

On a personal level, your emotions may be quite close to the surface. It is easy to feel vulnerable and possibly afraid of the circumstances and the position you find yourself in.

At 4:59 PM EST, the tender Cancer Moon forms a challenging square aspect with Jupiter, you may experience this as a feeling of being overwhelmed by circumstances beyond your control.

As the Moon trines Chiron, we are directed to stay engaged, rather than turning away from your fear, but looking directly into the face of fear. You may find an unexpected pathway into your own healing by directly engaging with your deepest fears.

Offer compassion and love to those you encounter.

The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 4:59 PM EST until she enters Leo on Thursday morning at 4:41 AM EST.

Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

OPPORTUNITIES AND EPIPHANIES

Thursday, February 9, 2017:

I expect that you will feel like a great weight has lifted when you wake up Thursday morning. The Moon has moved into dramatic Leo bringing light, warmth, and expressive color to the day.

At 12:20 PM EST, the playful Leo Moon forms a lovely trine aspect to Venus, the planet of love and value.  Allow a sweet flow between the love you give and the love you receive. Take nothing for granted and continue to offer a warm heart of generosity.

At 4:16 PM EST, the most significant aspect of the day brings a sextile between the Sun and non-conformist Uranus. A sextile offers opportunities and possibilities. The cycle between the Sun and Uranus is a cycle of developing individuality, reaching for what is unusual, and allowing yourself to go against the grain of cultural expectations.

This cycle began in early April of 2016. Think about what began in your life at that time. Now, you have the possibility of creatively engaging in a process of releasing or changing the form of what began that time. If what began then is still of value in your life, it is now time to get creative about how to begin a new form in mid April 2017. Explore ideas that will bring deep inspiration to the conversation. Keep your eyes open for unconventional and unusual epiphanies!

LEO FULL MOON, LUNAR ECLIPSE

Friday, February 10, 2017:

Friday begins relatively slowly, although we have an underlying awareness of the intense illumination of the evenings Leo Full Moon.

Before we get there however, we encounter mental Mercury sextile (the aspect of possibility) sensual Venus at 4:18 PM EST. This offers you the opportunity to fully express your deepest values within social situations or within intimate love partnerships. This may suggest a time to say what has previously been left unspoken. Depending on your circumstances, those words could be of connection or disconnection. The point is you are given the opportunity to make your position known.

Say what needs to be said to bring love forward. What direction or pathway do your deepest values call you to follow? Share what is true for you and expect to hear what is true for others.

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse is exact at 22° Leo at 7:33 PM EST. Perhaps, it is those words that are finally said that allow for a shift to occur that will change the course of the coming months. This is a time of resetting your emotions, allow your focus to rest on playful or creative self-expression. You may not know the change that is brewing inside, but a shift happens.

The corresponding Solar Eclipse, which occurs on February 26th, will assist in resetting your more objective intentions for forward focus and movement. For now, pay attention to the area of your chart that holds 22° Leo, say what needs to be said, and allow your heart to pivot with creativity, and colorful self-expression.

OFFER HELP

Saturday February 11, 2017:

If possible, let yourself sleep late on Saturday morning. At 8:52 AM EST, the Moon enters practical, analytical Virgo. Following the powerfully changing energies of Friday, Saturday is the day to turn to practical, detail-oriented work.

I know, this is not what you wanted to hear, after all, it is the weekend. However, you will come to the end of the day feeling much better if you focus your time on practical effort. Go ahead, get caught up on house cleaning, laundry, or attend to those jobs and projects that you know must be done.

At 10:25 AM EST, the Sun forms a flowing trine aspect to optimistic Jupiter. This allows you to deeply enjoy whatever task you choose to focus your efforts on. If you need help, this is the day to ask for it; if you see others in need, this is the day to offer help. The more work that you accomplish or the more help that you provide, the better you will feel when you head to sleep at the end of the day.

The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:53 AM EST until she ventures into Virgo at 8:52 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

DREAM. WORK. UNDERSTAND.

Sunday, February 12, 2017:

If it’s possible, Sunday will be another good morning to sleep late. In the wee hours of the morning, there is an opposition between the Virgo Moon and imaginative elusive Neptune. Stay asleep to enjoy the dreams that Neptune brings.

The Moon continues through productive hard-working Virgo until mid-day on Monday.

Stick with some of the projects you may have started on Saturday. You are going to feel great at the end of this weekend with all the work you can finish. The house will be tidy and you may even have a few closets, or even the attic cleaned out!

Enjoy accomplishing your own tasks or get out and help your neighbors and friends.

At 6:02 PM EST, the Moon trine Pluto brings a flow of intensification to your conversations and connections. Powerful dynamics come to the table. It is important that we listen to each other, allow the words you hear from others to get through. Listen. You do not have to agree to hear and understand. Understanding someone else’s viewpoint does not have to weaken your own.

A SLOW START TO THE WEEK

Monday, September 12, 2016:

Monday begins on a slow note with the steady Capricorn Moon void of course reminding us to leave all new endeavors on the sidelines and simply keep a low profile. When Mercury squares the Sagittarian Mars at 2:58 PM EDT, you may encounter typical Mercury retrograde communication glitches and the aggravation that can accompany it.

When the Moon enters Aquarius at 5:29 PM EDT, the general ‘feel’ of the day will shift allowing for a more positive, innovative, and unpredictable evening.

When the perfectionist Virgo Sun conjoins Mercury at 7:40 PM, the aggravation from the afternoon becomes insignificant as our attention is more easily directed.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:00 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 5:29 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

DEVELOPMENT OF COURAGE

Tuesday, September 13, 2016:

The Moon is in Aquarius throughout Tuesday doing its best to keep our emotions above the fray. One of the gifts of Aquarius is the ability to remain objective in the face of challenging emotions. Whether the Aquarius Moon is up to that task is, at best, uncertain.

The highly prominent aspect of Tuesday is a frustrating square between the Virgo Sun and Mars in Sagittarius. Mars is the planet of action, discord, and anger. This aspect is known for reflecting aggravation, impatience, and frustration. Anywhere you go today and anyone you encounter, make sure to check in with yourself and leave your anger at the door.

As much as possible approach every situation and every person with courage, awareness, and the ability to see truth. As this is the 3rd Quarter Square in the cycle between the Sun and Mars, give clear consideration to what this frustration is asking you to look at clearly. What began in June of 2015, was clearly developed by late May of 2016, and is now suggesting a new step forward or a new direction?

The purpose of this cycle is for the development of courage. The new cycle between them will not begin until July of 2017. Between now and then, we set aside the current challenge and prepare for a new place of courage to begin.

Spending time with yourself alone can be beneficial on Tuesday as you work with your short-temperedness. If you are with others, be cautious not to take any aggravation out on another. Remember, the development of courage is certainly an inside job.

PROGRESSIVE IDEAS

Wednesday, September 14, 2016:

By Wednesday morning, the Aquarius Moon is better equipped to be objective and feel encouraged by the process and expansion of ideas. This may be a day of sharp excitement with progressive new ideas forming out of seemingly nowhere. Keep your eyes open and be willing to think outside the box.

Because the Moon is adrift after 11:32 AM EDT, write down any unusual thoughts or perspectives on your patterns of thought. This is not the time to take action but tuck your ideas aside for future development.

At 10:23 PM EDT, the Moon enters mystical, dreamy Pisces. Sleep will be a sweet place to find yourself in the hours following this ingress.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 11:32 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 10:23 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

CONTEMPLATION

Thursday, September 15, 2016:

As we continue in growing awareness, preparing for Friday’s Full Moon, we encounter further insistence on developing a deeper connection to spirit. The mystical Pisces Moon conjoins devotional Neptune at 3:46 PM EDT and squares restrictive Saturn at 4:26 PM EDT.

Whatever you call your higher understanding of the Universe, and however you work to develop that connection, is a deeply private matter. Please find time on Thursday to spend in solitude to contemplate your own path. Do not be surprised to find little clarity in this contemplation. Hold space for life’s ambiguity.

Allow questions, confusions, limitations, and dreams to all have a place at the table. As you allow both cold reality and elusive dreams to direct you, you are learning to understand more than you know.

PISCES FULL MOON – LUNAR ECLIPSE

Friday, September 16, 2016:

A Lunar Eclipse at 2:54 PM EDT (and the Pisces Full Moon) is the big news on Friday. Eclipses are considered wild cards, times in our lives where we can anticipate major change that can truly transform our lives. Look to the area of your chart that holds 24 degrees Pisces for an idea of where your need for change will be supported over the coming months.

Consider what seed or intention you planted at the New Moon (Solar Eclipse at 7 degrees Virgo) two weeks ago. These eclipses work together to offer a new direction or set your life on an entirely new path.

Consider how the practical routines of your life support your spiritual growth or your creative inspirations.

Contact Astrolore for a consultation (yes, I am taking new clients) if you are ready to see how all the planetary cycles are supporting your individual path. Take a step forward for your own growth.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:05 PM EDT until she enters Aries at 12:23 AM EDT, on Saturday morning shortly after midnight. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

ACTIVE EXCITEMENT – IMPULSIVE ANXIETY

Saturday, September 17, 2016:

It will likely feel very much like a new day on Saturday morning. The Moon is now in dynamic Aries and much of the sensitivity and confusion from the past few days has been left behind. We are ready to push ahead toward excitement and action.

Early Saturday morning, Mars trine Uranus suggests much excitement (or anxiety) to manage over the weekend.

In looking at the whole cycle of Mars and Uranus, we see that they last came together in March of 2015. What did you begin at that time? What seed was planted?  These two coming together are an explosive combination, impatient, hot, and sharp.  Whatever began came to full illumination in December of 2015. If you are able to see a connection between those energies and those two periods of time, you see that now you are in full possession of the learning necessary of assertive defiance, revolutionary anger, and impulsive anxiety.

We have learned much and can work with these energies more effectively than has been previously possible. Consider the importance of full awareness, choice, and action. Think about and consider how this is playing out in your personal life as well as in the political landscape.

UNEXPECTED CONNECTIONS

Sunday, September 18, 2016:

This entire weekend is encased in intensification. On Sunday, the hot, determined Aries Moon makes challenging contact with both coercive Pluto and defiant Uranus. Keep your eyes open, pay attention to your surroundings and your responses to them.

At 4:05 AM EDT Venus, the planet of love and beauty opposes unconventional Uranus illuminating a cycle of unusual excitement in love that began in mid-April of 2016. A significant step forward was taken around the 7th of July and now you have clarity on where this has landed you. What unusual or unexpected values or love relationship have you developed since that time?

Pay attention to folks you meet today. Life and love can change on a dime when Venus and Uranus come together. You will be attracted to people and values that may, at other times, have held little or no attraction for you. These people could light up your life in powerful ways.

Allow yourself to embrace what is most unusual in others; you may meet someone from a different generation, culture, gender, ability, or nationality. Whoever you meet this weekend may have a profound impact on your life. Don’t stay home, go where you can make new connections.

The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 4:11 PM EDT until she enters Taurus at 12:58 AM EDT, early Monday morning. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

Some of us may experience the shift of the Sun from Pisces to Aries as a bit disorienting. We go from the energy of dreams, imagination, and sensitivity to the energy of aggression, determination, and of the warrior.

As we attempt to grapple with this shift, Mercury follows the example of the Sun and steps from Pisces into Aries on Monday evening. You may feel this as an awakening of energy, the experience of Spring. It is time to create what you want and take the necessary steps to bring that into reality.

On Wednesday, we have a Full Moon Eclipse in Libra encouraging us to take stock of what we created and began at the New Moon on March 8th.

On Friday, Saturn takes his first steps in retreat as he turns retrograde at 6:01 AM EDT.

THOUGHTS PICK UP SPEED

Monday, March 21, 2016:

Don’t be surprise if you feel like keeping your head under your pillow on Monday morning. It’s not that you have any sense of waking up to a bad day but you may wake with a sense of confusion or disorientation.

Now that the Sun is in Aries, you probably thought you were ready to move quickly in a forward direction. However, the day starts with the Moon in opposition to Neptune along with Mercury still in Pisces. These two factors contribute to a sense of internal instability that is likely to leave you wanting sleep…. Or just not knowing what you want!

Don’t let any of that worry you.

At 8:19 PM EDT, Mercury follows the Sun into Aries. Your mind will be ready to move forward, your thoughts will pick up speed, and everything revs up. It is easy to offend others while Mercury is in Aries, as we do not hold back in our communications and are willing to take the risk to tell it like it is!

Maintain your awareness and make sure you are saying what really needs to be said and not just running off at the mouth because of lack of control. Remain aware, keep yourself centered and grounded, even as this energy catapults you forward.
PREPARE FOR WEDNESDAY’S ECLIPSE

Tuesday, March 22, 2016:

Tuesday provides a day of rest. Yes, I know. You thought you were ready to move forward. However, today you need to rest and prepare for the very busy day on Wednesday.

The Moon is in Virgo throughout the day, yet makes no major aspects until after she enters Libra on Wednesday morning. Try not to concern yourself with accomplishments, communications, or any activity that you hope will move some project forward.

As you take the time to rest in the quiet of Tuesday, prepare yourself for tomorrow’s Lunar Eclipse. Consider the Solar Eclipse that happened on March 8th. Eclipses always come in pairs and are connected; a Solar Eclipse occurs at a New Moon and a Lunar Eclipse occurs at the Full Moon.

Are you aware of the change that is sweeping through your life, brought on by that Solar Eclipse? Much of the message of the Lunar Eclipse is in digging deeply to work with the underlying issues that must be addressed in order to grow in the direction of change that the Solar Eclipse.

This is your contemplation for Tuesday.

LIBRA LUNAR ECLIPSE – NOSTALGIA ALLOWS RELEASE

Wednesday, March 23, 2016:

At 1:24 AM EDT, the Moon enters Libra bringing an end to that time of rest and preparation that we talked about for Tuesday. Now, it is show time!

At 6:15 AM EDT, Jupiter squares Saturn. This can be a challenging time as the details of a particular situation may feel like they are overtaking or blocking your ability to expand your understanding and make it difficult to keep a grasp onyour own beliefs.

You may question ways of thinking and being in the world that previously felt very solid to you. It is important to continually question your opinions and beliefs as time and circumstances continue to show you new perspectives.

The Libra Full Moon is eclipsed at 8:01 AM EDT. Lunar Eclipses bring our emotions and nostalgia to the surface even as they push our awareness to the passage of time. Something is changing and we must let go. Even if the change is one we have hoped and dreamed of for so long, there still may be difficult emotions to manage as you release the past. Past memories and old dreams come to the surface in order to be released.

With the Libra Moon forming an opposition to Mercury, you may be highly sensitive to any communications that feel out of balance or unfair. You will do well to maintain grace and diplomacy in any such situation.

At 4:10 PM EDT, Mercury conjunct the Sun offers clarity of mind, thinking, and communication. This may be a time of sharp tongues; remember to add the ingredients of grace and diplomacy in all communications.
MOVE YOUR STORY FORWARD

Thursday, March 24, 2016:

Thursday may be a stressful day of assimilating the emotional impact of Wednesday. The Libra Moon, which is concerned with diplomacy and pleasure, forms challenging aspects with both Pluto (the planet of transformation) and Uranus (the planet of revolution).

This startling transit may push you to look beneath the pleasant exterior of your significant relationships. What is hidden beneath the surface and needs to change? Have you been too careful? Have you done your best to hold the status quo steady? What revolutionary thoughts and ideas are occurring behind-the-scenes in the depth of your heart?

At 6:44 PM EDT, Mercury forms a flowing trine aspect to Mars. This is a powerful encouragement to say what needs to be said; a push to telling a story that will make a significant point. Your words will be clear and direct.

With both Mercury and Mars in Fire Signs, conversations could become heated. Whatever is said will have an impact and will move the story-line forward. You may be surprised to hear your own words.
EXPRESS BEAUTY & GENEROSITY

Friday, March 25, 2016:

Early Friday morning, Saturn turns retrograde at 16° Sagittarius. He will remain retrograde until August 13, 2016 when he will turn direct once again at 9° Sagittarius. During this time, we each have the opportunity to look at the issues in our lives connected to boundaries, responsibilities, self-discipline, and hard work.

This is a time of reassessing, and coming to a deeper understanding and acceptance, of our responsibilities. If you have personal planets or points between 9° and 16° of any mutable sign, (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), this will be particularly significant to you.

On Wednesday, we talked about you feeling blocked in the ability to expand your inner awareness. As Venus connects with both Jupiter and Saturn on Friday, you may feel a powerful desire for beauty and pleasure along with a sense of dissatisfaction and frustration at feeling that growth is somehow blocked for you now.

Pay attention to how you relate to beauty. It may be time to explore ways to embody love, pleasure, beauty, and abundance within your own body, mind, and life. Create a place of beauty in your home. Make a special effort to show generosity. Put a vase of flowers on your kitchen table and one by your bed, and while you are at it, bring another bouquet to a friend. Notice how life expands when you create space for the expression of beauty and generosity.

You may be questioning ways of thinking and being in the world that previously felt very solid to you. It is important to continually question your opinions and beliefs as time and circumstances continue to show you new perspectives. For now, embrace a perspective that soothes your heart with love, music, art, inner beauty, and expansive generosity.

At 2:09 PM EDT, the Moon enters Scorpio bringing us into a deeply emotion space along with and an intense desire for connection. Find deep connection with an intimate friend or lover this Friday night.

LOVE & PASSION

Saturday, March 26, 2016:

On Saturday, you can expect to feel the full energizing passion of Aries. At 6:32 AM EDT, the Sun in Aries forms a free-flowing trine to Mars in Sagittarius! There is excitement in the air and you may feel willing to take on any challenge that presents it self; immediately on the heels of that blast of energy we encounter a sextile aspect between Venus and Pluto. This brings the energy to a decidedly intimate, potentially sexual encounter.

Financial opportunities may also present themselves. Say yes.

Consider back to what began in early February regarding a love relationship or a financial situation. Whatever began at that time, now you have the opportunity to explore the possibilities more deeply and move toward your goal.

The Scorpio Moon forms a beautiful trine aspect to Neptune and a sextile aspect to Jupiter. Your soul wants to make intense and beautiful connections with other beautiful souls. Opportunities are presented and the energy flows. What a wonderful night for deep love, passion, beauty, and abundance.
REST IN QUIET REFLECTION

Sunday, March 27, 2016:

Sunday should provide the perfect day to recover from the delights that I hope you encountered last night. The energy of passion, love, and abundance continues into the day. The Scorpio Moon is very quiet throughout the day, providing us the opportunity to slow down, take some time for quiet reflection, and rest.

I recommend a late brunch with a lover or intimate friends, and a movie to round out the weekend. Embrace the depth of sweetness that is presented.

There are those of you who may not resonate with the fiery energy of this weekend and those of you who may be angry that you have no one to share the passion with. If you find yourself feeling angry, understand that as a manifestation of passion. Utilize the assertiveness in a physical way by biking, running, dancing… whatever will release the tension.

Astrolore sends love to all of you!

Contemplation for the week:
“When you open yourself to the continually changing, impermanent, dynamic nature of your own being and of reality, you increase your capacity to love and care about other people and your capacity to not be afraid. You’re able to keep your eyes open, your heart open, and your mind open. And you notice when you get caught up in prejudice, bias, and aggression. You develop an enthusiasm for no longer watering those negative seeds; from now until the day you die. And, you begin to think of your life as offering endless opportunities to start to do things differently.”

RELEASE OR RECOMMIT

Monday, September 21, 2015:

On Monday, we begin another week of moving forward even as we struggle to make ourselves understood. It is not easy to keep the lines of communication open with Mercury retrograde. Be clear in all that you say and check with others to make sure you are being understood.

Think back to the Virgo New Moon on Sunday, September 13th. What was the major theme of that weekend? What began in your life? Did you begin a new exercise or health routine? Did you begin something that was somehow connected to care-taking or offering service to others?

You may feel the need to either give-up or recommit yourself to that routine or service. Determine what your level of commitment is, and take a solid clear action that will support the outcome you hope for during this Third Quarter Moon.
The Moon will be VOC* in Sagittarius until she enters Capricorn at 8:33 AM EDT. That gives us the whole of Monday and Tuesday to get serious about significant accomplishments.

Remember, with Mercury retrograde you are putting this ambitious energy to projects that need to be completed, not new projects!

This is a serious day of effort and accomplishment. Enjoy it.

Let go of the need to control the outcome. Trust the process. Trust your intuition. Trust yourself.”

“It is easy to believe we are each waves and forget we are also the ocean.”~ Jon J. Muth

EXCITEMENT AND FLOW

Tuesday, September 22, 2015:

What can you expect with the Moon still in serious, hard working Capricorn even as Venus trine Uranus, with all its implied stimulation and flow?

On March 4, 2015, Venus and Uranus began a new cycle. This cycle brings something unexpected to the area of love, beauty, money, or values. Perhaps, that time offered new excitement in relationship and love, or perhaps your financial situation changed unexpectedly. Perhaps, it was a time of less excitement and more shock or stress. Did your status change in some way?

Take time on Tuesday to consider how the situation that began then has developed over the past 6 months. What excitement do you experience now in your life that stems directly from what began at that time?

There is a beautiful flow that can be tapped into if you do not let fear of the unknown stop you from exploring your own curiosity about where you are going.

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” ~ Alan W. Watts

THE AUTUMN EQUINOX: SUN ENTERS LIBRA

Wednesday, September 23, 2015:

By the time you wake up on Wednesday morning, the Sun will be in Libra. The Sun entered Libra at 4:20 AM EDT and this marks the Autumn Equinox as the wheel of the seasons turns. The beginning of each season is marked by the entry of the Sun into one of the cardinal signs (the signs that initiate action: Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn).

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are moving steadily toward fall. It will not be long before much colder weather comes along; now we must prepare. As we face harsher conditions ahead (Winter), we must not hesitate in our preparation.

Having a partner, lover, and close friends makes the cold winter season easier to face and manage. Our hearts and minds seek intimate connections and diplomacy; we seek pleasure and beauty in all corners of our lives. Notice how your awareness of beauty and love is heightened. But for now, we simply try to join up with another to help keep us warm through those cold days ahead.

Over this past month with the Sun in Virgo, our focus has been on the smallest details of our lives. Now, as the Sun enters Libra, our focus changes considerably. Our attention comes to compromise, negotiation, and fairness. We don’t want to rock the boat. We want pleasure and beauty.

Wednesday afternoon, we are offered the opportunity to explore what is ahead with an eye toward stabilizing the upcoming months. The Libra Sun sextile Saturn at 2:36 PM EDT. Spend time considering exactly what you need to prepare to make sure the upcoming winter finds you in a safe and joyful space.

What do you need to release? Explore the elements of your life that you do not want to bring into the cold season with you. A new cycle of core stabilization will begin in late November as we hunker down into winter.

“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

POWER OF MIND

Thursday, September 24, 2015:

Thursday brings deep intensity to our thoughts and communications, reflecting the Third Quarter square between Mercury and Pluto. Please consider the power of your mind. This is not a superficial consideration.

Understand that your thoughts impact every aspect of your life. Are you ready to fully embody this power of your mind? Can you imagine how your life will change when you fully bring the power of Pluto to your aspirations and dreams? Are you using the power of your mind in the best possible way?

Explore your thinking. How is it reflected in your life? Is this what you want? You can use your mind to bring your life into alignment with your dreams and aspirations. This is the contemplation for Thursday. Be aware of your words to others and how the words of others can trigger you. Observe yourself with full awareness so that you do not get pulled into over-reactions.

Follow the deep path of your own thinking through journaling or meditation.
Mars enters Virgo at 10:17 PM EDT after being in Leo since early August. Mars represents active, assertive energy. He was perfectly happy in Leo where he was able to show off, get dramatic, and play! Now, he moves into Virgo, a sign that is really too sedate for his tastes. Nevertheless, we can use this time of Mars in Leo to our advantage.

What can the aggressiveness of Mars do in such a meticulous sign as Virgo? Mars will push us to buckle down and get to work. This will provide energy for cleaning projects, organizing projects, tackling long overdue details and tasks. Utilize this energy to accomplish many practical projects. Mars remains in Virgo until mid-November.

LOOK FOR THE GLIMMER OF WHAT IS TO COME

Friday, September 25, 2015:

What deep battlefields have you trodden since April? What war are you done fighting? On April 16, 2015, Pluto turned retrograde and now she stops and turns direct once more (at 12 degrees Capricorn). We would be remiss to think that once Pluto is moving direct (or when we complete any personal Pluto transit) that we can move ahead as though nothing has occurred.

Wherever Pluto moves, and whatever she impacts, she leaves in her wake a total transformation. Do not take that word lightly. There are still bodies on the battlefield that must be removed and you are not thinking clearly if you don’t think that the removal of those bodies will further transmute some deep inner part of your being.

The Moon is VOC* in Aquarius until she enters Pisces at 3:43 PM EDT.

Mars, having just entered Virgo, squares Saturn on Friday, further tapping down the enthusiasm and direct action Mars always wishes he could face the world with. You may simply not have the energy to engage in the heavy lifting required to move those metaphorical bodies off the battlefield.

For now, you may consider where the next battle will be waged. What began, in terms of stabilizing action, energy, or sexuality, in late August 2015? You can now see that you have gone as far as you are able in that direction. It is time to release and grieve what you have lost, even as you begin to imagine the first glimmer of what will come next.

We live within a series of overlapping cycles, always moving us forward and upward. The most profound pain in our lives comes from thinking our lives move along a straight line toward a destination and that we can hold on to any thing, any person, or any moment.

Seeing life as a spiral helps, understanding constant motion, and constant change is essential. Even as one cycle is beginning, others may be culminating, and others ending. Roll with the changes. Allow motion, movement and constant change.

“You need to spend time crawling alone through shadows to truly appreciate what it is to stand in the Sun.” ~ Shaun Hick

YOUR HEART MUST OPEN TO HEAR

Saturday, September 26, 2015:

Release the stress of Friday by consciously devoting Saturday to an exploration of your most creative and dreamy nature. Of course, the intensity of Friday does not simply dissolve with the coming of a new day, but this may be one of those times where it feels that way. Allow yourself to rest from the intensity, and possible discomfort, of what feels like constant growth.

Go inward and rest your mind. Allow yourself to enjoy a common purpose with friends or simply spend the day in meditation. Bring your contemplation to deep levels of your inner sensitivity.

Spend the day in the woods; listen to the language of the trees. They will speak directly to you if you take the time to move among them with clarity of attention and an open heart to hear.

“People who don’t know how to use their minds can’t really know how to use their hearts either.” ~ Vironika Tugaleva

ARIES FULL MOON ECLIPSE; EXTREME EMOTION

Sunday, September 27, 2015:

At 3:28 PM EDT, the Moon leaves the dreamy space of Pisces behind to plow forward into assertive, action oriented Aries. A Full Lunar Eclipse occurs, at 4 degrees of Aries (opposite the Sun in Libra) at 10:50 PM EDT.
A Full Moon Eclipse can be a great support in releasing what is no longer necessary for the development of your higher self. The Sun shines its bright light on your subconscious, illuminating issues that have festered since the last New Moon in Aries back in April 2015.

Now, we see the fruit of the seed we planted 6 months ago. This could be a full joyous birth or a total miscarriage.

Lunar Eclipses can bring extreme emotion to your situation. Spend time with your own quiet wisdom. Trust that even if you feel disconnected from that wisdom, it is there to guide your steps forward.

Be willing to express, and inwardly acknowledge, your deepest vulnerability. It is within that vulnerability that you will connect most deeply with your wisdom.
The people most personally affected are those of you born with personal planets and points at approximately 0 to 8 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn).

“What makes you vulnerable makes you beautiful.” ~ Brene Brown

This week: The VOC* Moon!

VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.

Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!

If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!

Monday, September 21, the Moon is VOC* (in Sagittarius) following a square to the Sun at 5:00 AM until she enters Capricorn at 8:33 AM EDT.

Tuesday, September 22, the Moon is VOC* (in Capricorn) following a square to Uranus at 7:13 PM EDT, until she enters Aquarius on Wednesday, September 23 at 1:51 PM EDT.

Friday, September 25, the Moon is VOC* (in Aquarius) following an opposition to Venus at 12:02 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 3:43 PM EDT.

Saturday, September 26, the Moon is VOC* (in Pisces) following a sextile to Pluto at 12:32 PM EDT until she enters Aries on Sunday, September 27, At 3:28 PM EDT
