We start the week with an inward focus as we move into the darkest phase of the Moon.
The week begins with both the Moon and Venus in Taurus, but not for long. Monday morning Venus leaves behind the steadfastness of Taurus to enter the curious activity of Gemini.
Tuesday morning the Moon follows Venus into Gemini as well. Venus in Taurus will assist us in grounding into the moment.
On Wednesday we may encounter something that surprises or shocks us. Perhaps we thought we had a firm hold on something that is less solid than we expected. Again you will want to watch your levels of assertiveness and anger. If you feel frustrated or angry do not use sharp tools and do not drive.
Thursday brings us to the New Moon at 5° of Cancer. Pay attention to the opportunity to plant some seeds of domestic love. This begins a cycle that will determine much of our domestic situation and comfort over the coming months.
Sunday ends the week on an interesting note as we notice the flow of fantasy and dreams and the places where our deeper values block those dreams. There are no decisions that need to be made. The important thing is to be kind to yourself and to those who are involved in your current situation.

Monday, June 23, 2014:
The week begins with an emotional hangover as we are confronted with the realities of Monday morning following the wonderfully open and engaging weekend.
Initially it may feel difficult to face the week, but as the day moves on it becomes easier and more interesting! As Venus enters Gemini we become very busy and our social lives amp up! Be careful not to overbook yourself. Remember you still need time to care for yourself.
Summer is so short here in Vermont, it is helpful to have Venus in Gemini encouraging us to make the connections that will support our growth and movement forward.
The Moon is in Taurus all day, going VOC at 9:48PM EDT following a sextile to Jupiter. I would anticipate a simple pleasurable evening.
Tuesday, June 24, 2014:
At 7:06 AM EDT the Moon leaves Taurus behind and enters Gemini. Several hours later the Moon connects with Venus. Because the Moon circles the entire zodiac each month, she makes contact rapidly with all the planets. When the Moon touches other planets it is not a long-term effect but one that is noticeable in our day-to-day lives. When the Moon and Venus come together this morning in Gemini we feel encouraged to socialize and to communicate openly, particularly in our relationships with women.
Early tomorrow morning Mars opposes Uranus. Watch carefully any edginess that is lurking around the edges; it is apt to increase and show its face strongly for the next 24 hours. Awareness of your own energy and the energy of those around you is your greatest gift at this time.
Wednesday, June 25, 2014:
Wednesday may be the wildcard of the week. We awake to the energy of Mars opposing Uranus. On March 22, 2013 the cycle between Mars and Uranus began at 8° Aries. Think about what may have begun at that time in your life. When we bring Mars and Uranus together we are thinking about revolution, decisive action, sexual excitement, and/or a tightly wound nervous system. Mars and Uranus have a reputation for being accident-prone. As a rule this problem can be solved by simply slowing down and not moving quickly forward if we are aggravated, frustrated, or angry. The point we are at in this cycle now brings us to a full expression of the creative energy that has been building since March 2013. Please share with us any awareness is that you may have of this cycle. We learn so much as we share with each other.
The Moon is in Gemini throughout the day making aspects that suggest that on the surface this is an easy day of fun, play, communication, and friends.
Thursday, June 26, 2014:
Thursday begins with the Moon and Mercury coming together in Gemini. Following the conjunction between them at 7:56AM EDT, the Moon goes VOC until she enters Cancer at 5:05PM EDT. It’s interesting to have a day with Moon and Mercury together in Gemini and yet with the Moon VOC all day. This is a great day for the mind — the mind is active, the mind is clear — and yet because the Moon is VOC there is not much that will come from whatever we try to accomplish today. Interesting! Do not implement what you learn today. Take information in, let it percolate on its own. It will find its way to the surface when the time is right. Take in information today that you know you will need in the future.
At the end of the workday it will be time to set that entire learning curve aside and find comfort in dinner with your loved ones. If you find yourself alone this evening, I recommend either cooking yourself a special meal or taking yourself out to dinner. Treat yourself as the beloved.
Friday, June 27, 2014:
Very early in the morning, at 4:09AM EDT, is the New Moon at 5° Cancer. This begins the monthly lunar cycle bringing our attention to the seeds of domestic harmony that need to be planted. Look to your living situation, those you share the responsibilities of home with, your children, or your mother. What new seeds are required? What new patterns are you ready to develop that will nurture the lives of those you call ‘Family’.
Set time aside to contemplate how you are going to get your own needs met in terms of love and nurturance. Contemplation only goes so far. Reach for your notebook and a pen, brainstorm what your core needs are and what changes need to occur in your life to fulfill those deep needs. This will be the day to take those first steps to bring domestic fulfillment to your life. This process may not be as easy as you expect. Beginning something new shows us where change is required. You may be surprised at what you discover.
Saturday, June 28, 2014:
The Cancer Moon is with us all day on Saturday. Sleep late if you are able to. The morning is likely to be the most difficult part of the day. You may even want to go to the office or spent the morning cleaning house.
Don’t worry, the day gets better! Following the suggestion of aggravation and frustration in the morning, the afternoon is relatively uneventful!
At 9:03 PM EDT the Moon conjuncts Jupiter and is VOC until tomorrow morning! The connection between the Moon and Jupiter allows us to move away from frustration into a soft space of acceptance and openhearted Love. Whatever you can do to bring this openhearted acceptance to others will support all of us!
Sunday, June 29, 2014:
Sunday begins with the Moon VOC in Cancer, but she quickly enters Leo before we awake. The Moon enters Leo at 4:43 AM EDT, making a sextile to Venus this evening. What a lovely day!
At 3:30 PM EDT, Venus in Gemini squares Neptune. These are the first quarter days of the cycle between Venus and Neptune. When Venus and Neptune come together we think of romantic love, fairytale romance, and idealized beauty. We may be very susceptible to a lack of clarity in seeing the reality of our relationships and our financial situations at this time. If you keep a journal, go back to April 11, 2014, give or take a day or two. Was there something new going on at that time regarding your relationships or your resources? If you are able to identify something that began at that time, now consider what action needs to be taken on that issue. For me it must have something to do with taxes! I will definitely need to give this some thought! I know that that was the day that I filed my taxes!
This may be a dreamy evening perfect for deep meditation, getting lost in a great movie, or enjoying that extra glass of wine!

* In these weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
