Wow what a week we have just passed through! Are you ready for another?
Are you adjusting to Saturn and Neptune being retrograde?
Let’s ask that another way!
Where in your life have you noticed yourself returning to the reality of your responsibilities?
Have you realized the need to return to previous rituals or spiritual practices?
Indeed, we have encountered many sharp edges in our lives since April 2014. In what area have you been off-track since that time? Have you been neglecting your spiritual growth and/or your personal development? Have you neglected important responsibilities?
These are important questions for each of us to ask ourselves. For myself I have noticed Life moving very quickly since the beginning of April.
This week, as Neptune turned retrograde, I returned to my meditation cushion. It became clear to me that my ongoing meditation practice is the most significant gift I can give to my clients, to myself, and to my loved ones
The week begins with the Moon in Aquarius. Throughout the week the Moon will pass through Pisces, Aries, and ends the week in Taurus. I anticipate this week being far easier than the past several weeks.
Monday, June 16, 2014:
Heading to work on Monday morning can be so much more enjoyable than you may expect. Habitually, we don’t like Monday mornings! Don’t let that stop you from enjoying your walk or your drive to work this Monday.
Many of you are heading to jobs that you do not enjoy. Don’t let that stop you from having a fabulous day. Approach this in a different way. Whatever you’re doing (within reason), teach yourself to enjoy it. Unless you’re ready to leave that job, you may as well learn to love it!
There is a good deal of excitement in the air as the day begins. Enjoy it while it lasts. By the time you head home at the end of the day you may notice a sense of dissatisfaction. Don’t try to fight it. Don’t try to fix anything. Relax into comfort with exactly as things are, at this time, in this place. Head to bed early; make it an early night. Your body and your mind can use the rest.
Tuesday, June 17, 2014:
The day begins with the Moon still in Aquarius.
At 6:04AM EDT Mercury retrogrades from Cancer back into Gemini. Our minds are able to return to center; to the intellect. Mercury is delighted to be back in Gemini, to return from the watery emotional space of Cancer. Even the final the Moon makes while in Aquarius (a trine to Mercury) suggests our hearts and minds are move easily able to work together in harmony.
The Moon is VOC* between 2:06PM EDT and 2:26PM EDT when the Moon enters PISCES.
If you struggle with issues of addiction, make sure you are in sober company tonight. If there is a voice saying that you ‘deserve to’ indulge, you can rest assured that voice does not have your best interests at heart. Consider what your heart really needs. Perhaps your soul wants wings; to escape the confines of this life. When we long for escape it is easy to turn to alcohol and/or drugs. Consider some healthier choices. The same sense of release and escape can be found in music, poetry, spirituality, meditation, mysticism, and deep levels of selfless suffering.
Wednesday, June 18, 2014:
Whatever is on the agenda for Wednesday make it special! This is a day to bring your imagination to life, to release restrictions within your mind, and allow beauty and wonder to tear down the walls you thought you needed for protection. Open the windows and the doors, allow air and light to enter. There is opportunity for good fortune and luck to present possibilities on your path.
Venus sextiles Jupiter at 5:15 AM EDT. This is a sentimental, bighearted day; excellent for expressing love, kindness, and generosity. We may not be seeing things clearly but what we see is pleasurable and a bit on the dreamy side.
Our values and our beliefs encourage us to consider what is possible. This is the day to simply show up, keep your eyes open, and anticipate the best.
Thursday, June 19, 2014:
So much has been learned over these past few months. Take a look at some of the stories you’ve been telling yourself. How have things changed in your life; in your experience?
Thursday brings us to the Third-Quarter Moon. This phase of the Moon may feel a little bitter-sweet as we understand that it is time to release something that has been important to us.
I believe it is good for us, as we live in this uncertain and impermanent world, to remember and practice the necessary skill of Letting-Go.
Learning to release is an important life lesson. It is great that we have these opportunities to practice in small ways. At 3:05PM EDT (following a square to Mercury) the Moon goes VOC* until entering Aries at 5:26PM EDT. At 6:49 PM EDT the Sun and Mercury conjunct at 28° Gemini.
The Sun and Mercury never stray too far apart. There are several ways to think about the impact as they come into contact. Our thoughts are either blinded by the brightness of the Sun, absorbed by the Sun, or fully illuminated by the Sun. If the Sun and Mercury are conjunct in your birth chart, please tell me: How does it feel to you? Do you feel that your mind has been absorbed by the heat of the Sun or do you feel that your mind is brightly illuminated by the Sun? Thank you in advance for sharing!
Friday, June 20, 2014:
Friday is the last full day with the sun in Gemini, be prepared for a big shift Saturday morning. We can anticipate a good deal of impatience on our part and those we encounter. What a great time to practice our skills at paying attention and working with kindness toward others.
The Moon in Aries is very hot today as she encounters, once again, Pluto, Mars, and Uranus. It is important to use this powerful energy consciously. Before you get in your car to drive or use power tools, check in with your state of mind. If you notice impatience, anger, frustration, or anxiety; Wait! Do not move forward, do not drive, use knives or power tools until you know your mind is settled.
Plan ahead ways to use this energy to your advantage; this is great energy for personal physical exertion. Not the best time for team sports but excellent for mountain biking, kayaking, or skydiving; activities where you are dependent on yourself.
Saturday, June 21, 2014:
The Sun enters Cancer at 6:50AM EDT! Here in the northern hemisphere we think of this as the summer solstice. In the southern hemisphere this is the winter solstice. We each are so accustomed to our own perspective it is hard to imagine how different it is for others. The solstice gives us a great opportunity to consider this difference. In many ways our world seems so small and yet to contemplate this stretches our minds.
And yes, my perspective is from the northern hemisphere where we now enter summer. The rapid growth of Gemini enters the slower, deeper considerations of Cancer. We turn a bit inward and move closer to those we love.
The stress of Friday’s Aries Moon is easier to manage on Saturday. At 6:24PM EDT the moon goes VOC* until she enters Taurus at 11:03PM EDT.
Sunday, June 22, 2014:
Sunday! Whatever you do take advantage of this day!
The Sun is now in Cancer and the Moon is in Taurus. This is a lovely combination. We each have the opportunity to open our hearts, to allow softness and vulnerability. Our emotions and our values are able to shine in harmony. Don’t hold back. This is the day to find your strength and stability through open-heartedness. We can nurture others and allow ourselves to be nurtured in return. If you have sisters, mothers, aunts, or grandmothers reach out and connect with them on Sunday! It will do each of you good and it will do the world good!

*In these weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC* time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
