Following last week’s eclipse, please understand that you really can allow yourself to feel the fullness and expansion of your own greatness. At the core of your soul, you are light. Do not underestimate the basic goodness that is You.
You can anticipate a simple, uncomplicated week. Well, as simple as it can be given the fact that Mercury is still retrograde!

It is amazingly quiet in the heavens this week. Other than Mercury backing up to meet the Sun at 7° Libra, there are no major aspects (Conjunction, Sextile, Square, Trine, or Opposition), other then the ongoing daily connections that the Moon makes.
Over the course of this week, the Moon moves through Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer. You can expect you focus to be centered on your own individual path.
We begin the week contemplating the places in our lives where we need to develop courage as we consider new territory. On Tuesday, with the Moon entering Taurus our focus moves to the practical development of stability and comfort. Late afternoon on Thursday, we reach for more conversation and a better understanding of those around us. On Saturday evening, we settle into the desire for more warmth, love, and connection.
Contemplation for the week: “To be free means to open your heart and your being to the fullness of who you are, because only when you are resting in the place of unity can you truly honor and appreciate others and the incredible diversity of the universe.” ~ Ram Dass

ENCOUNTER COURAGE
Monday, September 28, 2015:
The week starts with a great deal of energy. We have just passed through the Aries Full Moon Eclipse and may find ourselves champing at the bit to get things done even as Mercury retrograde offers obstacles to our path.
Be aware of the places where you may be acting as your own obstacle. Allow yourself to see beyond what seems to be standing in your way.
Monday will probably be the most challenging day of the week as we continue to release the energy of yesterday’s Eclipse and the Aries Moon makes rough contact with both Pluto and Uranus.
If you find yourself encountering internal anger, notice where its roots are connected to a place in the past 2 – 3 years. You can release that anger more simply than you may think. Determine your forward path which requires energy of courage and determination. Place your energy there.
Anger transformed becomes determination and courage which will propel you in the direction you want to go; your best future.
“What may look like a small act of courage is courage nevertheless. The important thing is to be willing to take a step forward.” ~ Daisaku Ikeda

SEEK COMFORT
Tuesday, September 29, 2015:
We begin Tuesday with the Moon still in the assertive sign of Aries. She made a lovely trine aspect to Venus while we slept. We will wake with less stress and ready to truly enter a calmer, easier week.
The Moon leaves all the stress of Aries behind as she enters Taurus at 2:56 PM EDT.
In Taurus, the Moon just wants comfort, stability, and pleasure. Seek those things this evening.
Everyone has their own idea of comfort food. This evening go home and make your comfort food. Take care of that part of you that just wants to rest in warmth. Share that warmth with a friend or loved one.
Wikipedia says: “Comfort food is traditional food which often provides a sentimental feeling, and is often characterized by a high carbohydrate level and simple preparation. The nostalgic element most comfort food has may be specific to either the individual or a specific culture.”
Enjoy a quiet evening of pleasure, get or give a massage. Deeply enjoy the simple aspects of your life. Let the complexity wait for another day.
“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of these things and still be calm in your heart.” ~ Unknown

EXPECT A NEW PERSPECTIVE
Wednesday, September 30, 2015:
The Moon is in Taurus throughout the day, inviting us to seek calm, stable pleasure.
On Wednesday, we encounter the only major aspect of the week; a simple conjunction between the Sun and Mercury. Since the Sun and Mercury can never be more than 28 degrees apart, the conjunction is the only major aspect they can ever form. Perhaps, this conjunction will bring a solution to something you have been struggling with over the past few weeks.
At the very least, I think you can expect a new perspective, as light and warmth now shine on the issue. Pay attention to what this new perspective may offer in the long term.
Our assumptions often keep us stuck in thinking we have no options other than the obvious ones in front of us. Today, look for new perspectives, look in places you have not thought of before. There may be a simple adjustment that will change everything. Be open to a new viewpoint.
“At the end of life, our questions are very simple: Did I live fully? Did I love well?”
~ Jack Kornfield

CELEBRATE DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES
Thursday, October 1, 2015:
Thursday begins with more of the same desire for stability and comfort that you have managed for the past two days. It may be difficult to get yourself to your job, as you would far prefer to sit with coffee and a good book or a good friend.
Comfort and work do not often go hand in hand. However, assuming you can get yourself to your job and are dealing well with Mercury retrograde, this should be a day of few difficulties.
At 4:04 PM EDT, the Moon enters Gemini releasing us from the desire for too much comfort seeking behavior, which can ultimately result in boredom and lack of motivation.
Once the Moon is in Gemini, your mind will increase in activity and you will be looking for more intellectual stimulation and topics of interest.
Gather with friends, get curious about the way the people around you think. You may be surprised at the diversity of attitudes and opinions of those around you! Celebrate the uniqueness of each person you meet.
“Letting go of your attachment being right and suddenly your mind more open. You’re able to benefit from the unique viewpoints of others, without being crippled by your own judgment.” ~ Ralph Marston

SEEK CURIOSITY, WIT, AND HUMOR
Friday, October 2, 2015:
As the Moon moves through each sign, it sets the emotional tone in which we function. Because this week has so little activity, other than the shifting mood of the Moon, the simple emotional tone takes on more importance than usual.
While the Moon moves through Gemini your attention span is shortened considerably as restlessness increases. Your mind may be busy but without great depth.
Catch up with friends but keep your interactions on the level of wit, curiosity, and humor. This is not the time for deep or serious conversations.
Enjoy a fun Friday evening out with friends. Meet new people; engage in conversations without trying to make any point other than mutual understanding, respect, and finding a new and interesting perspective.
“Our vision is more abstracted by what we think we know than by our lack of knowledge.” ~ Krister Stendahl

RESTLESSNESS GIVES WAY TO LOVE
Saturday, October 3, 2015:
Saturday begins with the Moon still in Gemini. What can you get accomplished on Saturday? It should be an active day with plenty of energy. Your challenge will be keeping yourself focused and not running off after one shiny thing or another!
So many things, people, ideas, and information are working to draw your attention. If you want to get projects done, turn off your computer and find your stimulation within the area of what you want to get done.
At 8:22 PM EDT, the Moon will enter Cancer slowing down your mental activity as your heart opens and your attention is drawn by love and kindness.
This is an evening to stay close to ‘home and hearth’. Emotions are close to the surface as you are able see those you love through eyes of empathy, vulnerability, and caring.
“View your life with kind sight. Stop beating yourself up about things from your past. Instead of slapping your forehead and asking, ’What was I thinking?,’ breathe and ask yourself the kinder question, ’What was I learning?’” ~ Karen Salmansohn

THOUGHTS FOCUS ON FEELINGS
Sunday, October 4, 2015:
Don’t make any big plans for accomplishments for Sunday unless it entails bringing the family to the apple orchard or preparing meals for the week ahead.
The Moon moves through Cancer all day focusing our thoughts on feelings. You will want to develop areas of security, feelings of belonging, caring, intimacy, and empathy.
Your loved ones may express moodiness and unusual levels of sensitivity. All of us will be deeply influenced by our feelings on Sunday. Allow space, be kind and forgiving of each other’s expressions of moodiness.
This will be a good day for domestic activities, family get-togethers, and other activities that involve understanding and awareness of our own and our loved ones personal needs.
“Life is about trusting your feelings and taking chances, losing and finding happiness, appreciating the memories, learning from the past, and realizing people change.” ~ Atul Purohit

This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!
If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!
Tuesday, September 29, the Moon is VOC* (in Aries) following a trine to Venus at 3:45 AM EDT until she enters Taurus at 2:56 PM EDT.
Thursday, October 1, the Moon is VOC* (in Taurus) following a square to Venus at 6:43 AM EDT until she enters Gemini at 4:04 PM EDT.
Saturday, October 3, the Moon is VOC* (in Gemini) following a sextile to Venus at 1:19 PM EDT until she enters Cancer at 8:22 PM EDT

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
