“The more one is consciously in touch with one’s own life, the more astrology offers – not sensational surprises or a way of manipulating fate – But rather a means of clarifying the stages of self-development which we should welcome and use as opportunities for personal transformation.

– Stephen Arroyo

Please keep in mind that transits to your natal planets can override these more universal ones. A personal consultation offers deep understanding.

THE STORIES WE HEAR/ THE STORIES WE TELL – Monday, September 21, 2020

The week begins with the Moon in Scorpio. We may feel the need to emotionally protect ourselves through as a self-protective gesture. With Mercury square Pluto you may hear stories that create deep upheaval. We will very likely see this in the news, but pay attention to how it may play out in your personal life. Pay attention to what you hear and pay attention to the stories you tell. Your personal integrity and honesty is of the utmost importance.

At 3:32 PM EDT, the Moon enters Sagittarius bringing a lighter note to the latter half of the day. On an emotional level, you can learn a great deal this afternoon from others who hold a different set of values and beliefs than you do. Keep an open mind.

Think of Mercury as the messenger, bringing our attention from one topic/ situation to another. Mercury is curious and whats to gather all the information available. Mercury is currently forming a Last Quarter Square aspect to the gathering of planets (the COVID Cluster) in Capricorn. Today Mercury squares Pluto, on Wednesday it squares Saturn. On Thursday Mercury will oppose confrontational Mars.

What stories we will hear this week! You can expect lots of finger-pointing. The question may end up simply being: Will the stories we hear now, finally make a difference? Pay attention to how you see this reflected in the news cycle and in your personal life.

***The Scorpio Moon is void-of-course from 2:13 PM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 3:32 PM EDT. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

LIBRA SEASON BEGINS AT THE AUTUMN EQUINOX – Tuesday, September 22, 2020

The Autumn Equinox is exact when the Sun enters Libra this morning at 9:30 AM EDT. This begins Libra season with the length of day and night being equal. As we move forward in the coming days the night begins to overtake daylight and the days become progressively shorter. At the Autumn Equinox, we take stock of our lives and evaluate where we find yourself. It is time to prepare for the coming cold of winter (in the Northern Hemisphere).

Libra Season reminds us of the comfort that relationships bring to those cold nights ahead. Your focus is likely on partnerships, establishing comfort, beauty, and balance for the winter ahead.

With Mars gearing up to square the planets in Capricorn, it is hard to imagine but we can hope to see more focus on diplomacy in the weeks ahead. In your personal life pay attention to where you disagree with others and work to find common ground, understanding, and respect. Be kind to others, respect differences, and create beauty in your environment.

With the Moon in Sagittarius, this is a great day to reconnect with your most far-flung friends and relatives. Everyone needs connection now.

UPLIFT EACH OTHER – Wednesday, September 23, 2020

Mercury forms a challenging square aspect to Saturn at 6:37 AM EDT. On a personal level, this suggests a good day to work diligently on a challenging mental task, also a good day to work alone. It may be difficult to communicate with others in a way that gets your point across without conflict. It is best to avoid important negotiations or difficult personal or business conversations.

From a broader perspective, think about the current movement of Mercury. First, it formed a square aspect to Jupiter last week, a square to Pluto on Monday, and today’s square to Saturn. Mercury’s job is to bring messages between planets. The messages now being delivered are about a struggle to expand (Jupiter), to transformation (Pluto), and to stabilize (Saturn). Tomorrow when Mercury opposes Mars we look directly into the face of the fight (Mars) ahead.

At 7:17 PM EDT, the Moon enters Capricorn delivering us into the next few days of emotional seriousness. As though that is something new!

Be kind to each other. These are challenging times. If you are feeling discouraged reach out to others who are struggling as well. We must all uplift each other in offering kindness, love, and help in whatever form we are able.

***The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course from 1:31 PM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 7:17 PM EDT. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

FORGIVE YOURSELF AND OTHERS – Thursday, September 24, 2020

Watch for a verbal battle of wills today. Awareness of building anger and resentment threaten to burst into the open today as Mercury opposes Mars on the heels of its square to the cluster in Capricorn over the past few days.

Don’t let hostile reactions from others surprise you and watch your own propensity to provoke or deliver hostility as well. Don’t be surprised by your own inner aggravation, frustration, and feelings of aggression.

The best way to release this energy without harm is to go for a run, play a hard game of tennis, or spend time with a punching bag. Engaging your body can release the heat in your mind. Another way to use the heat of the day is to put your mind to mental challenges or puzzles that require powerful mental skills. Finding a release valve for this energy will help prevent you from saying something (or many things) you will regret later.

The Moon is in Capricorn all day supporting practical efforts and time spent alone. Do your best to approach everyone with kindness and forgive yourself or others for lapses that may occur.

ENGAGE A SOLITARY WORK PROJECT – Friday, September 25, 2020

Today as the Moon moves through the late degrees of Capricorn she encounters the gathering of planets that astrologers have taken to calling The COVID Cluster. By the end of the year this gathering will break up but as long as they are still tied together the Moon brings their struggle to the surface weekly.

Find a serious solitary work project to focus your attention on this evening. Avoid words, conversation, and confrontations that you will regret as soon as they are out of your mouth. Stay out of situations that will pit you against folks who are apt to challenge your opinions or beliefs. No matter how good your intentions don’t tempt fate.

Get through today, go to sleep early, the next few days will be much easier.

***The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course from 11:36 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius in the wee hours of Saturday morning. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

ENJOY – Saturday, September 26, 2020

Plan something special for today. It has probably been a rough week and today the cosmos gives us a break. Breath a sigh of relief, get out for a drive to look at the beautiful foliage or go for a walk to stretch your legs. In challenging times like these, it is important to take full advantage of days that offer relief, pleasure, and hope.

By the time the day begins the Moon is in innovative humanitarian Aquarius. You want to be of help and can see the more cutting edge and original ways of doing so. Pay attention to your more wild and unusual ideas. You may surprise yourself to realize that these ideas can be utilized in a more practical way than you would expect.

At 9:31 AM EDT, the Moon trines the Sun heightening our pleasure and sense of hope and purpose. Enjoy.

***The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course until she enters Aquarius at 2:08 AM PDT. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

DEEP RESEARCH AHEAD – Sunday, September 27, 2020

The Moon is still in Aquarius today offering its gift of objectivity and a humanitarian outlook.

The big news today involves Mercury the planet of thinking and communications. Mercury has only been in Libra since September 5th and is already moving into the next sign of Scorpio. This shifts our thinking from diplomatic to deeply investigative. Mercury will be slowing down over the next few weeks in preparation for its retrograde which begins on October 13th. Due to the retrograde Mercury will spend an extended amount of time in this deeply powerful sign.

With Mercury in Scorpio, this is a great time for research or other deep mental work. Why not contact me to begin a study of astrology?

Mercury in Scorpio increases our private thoughts and our more suspicious ones. Given that the build-up to the US elections is happening during a Scorpio Mercury retrograde we can only imagine what is happening below the surface. Please be aware of the prevalence of conspiracy theories surfacing with a vengeance under this placement. Don’t fall into that trap.

Mercury stations direct on the USA election day, November 3rd. The last time we had a Mercury station on election day was in the year 2000. Do you remember that one?

Mercury will remain in Scorpio until December 1st when it will enter Sagittarius opening our thinking to new horizons.

I am cautiously optimistic about all the power plays and challenges we are now watching unfold. Keep breathing, keep loving, and showing kindness to everyone you encounter.

* In these weekly reports, I explore the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and give rise to fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions. The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
