Contemplation for the week:
“When you open yourself to the continually changing, impermanent, dynamic nature of your own being and of reality, you increase your capacity to love and care about other people and your capacity to not be afraid. You’re able to keep your eyes open, your heart open, and your mind open. And you notice when you get caught up in prejudice, bias, and aggression. You develop an enthusiasm for no longer watering those negative seeds; from now until the day you die. And, you begin to think of your life as offering endless opportunities to start to do things differently.”
~ Pema Chodron

Monday, September 21, 2015:
On Monday, we begin another week of moving forward even as we struggle to make ourselves understood. It is not easy to keep the lines of communication open with Mercury retrograde. Be clear in all that you say and check with others to make sure you are being understood.
Think back to the Virgo New Moon on Sunday, September 13th. What was the major theme of that weekend? What began in your life? Did you begin a new exercise or health routine? Did you begin something that was somehow connected to care-taking or offering service to others?
You may feel the need to either give-up or recommit yourself to that routine or service. Determine what your level of commitment is, and take a solid clear action that will support the outcome you hope for during this Third Quarter Moon.
The Moon will be VOC* in Sagittarius until she enters Capricorn at 8:33 AM EDT. That gives us the whole of Monday and Tuesday to get serious about significant accomplishments.
Remember, with Mercury retrograde you are putting this ambitious energy to projects that need to be completed, not new projects!
This is a serious day of effort and accomplishment. Enjoy it.
Let go of the need to control the outcome. Trust the process. Trust your intuition. Trust yourself.”
“It is easy to believe we are each waves and forget we are also the ocean.”~ Jon J. Muth
Tuesday, September 22, 2015:
What can you expect with the Moon still in serious, hard working Capricorn even as Venus trine Uranus, with all its implied stimulation and flow?
On March 4, 2015, Venus and Uranus began a new cycle. This cycle brings something unexpected to the area of love, beauty, money, or values. Perhaps, that time offered new excitement in relationship and love, or perhaps your financial situation changed unexpectedly. Perhaps, it was a time of less excitement and more shock or stress. Did your status change in some way?
Take time on Tuesday to consider how the situation that began then has developed over the past 6 months. What excitement do you experience now in your life that stems directly from what began at that time?
There is a beautiful flow that can be tapped into if you do not let fear of the unknown stop you from exploring your own curiosity about where you are going.
“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” ~ Alan W. Watts

Wednesday, September 23, 2015:
By the time you wake up on Wednesday morning, the Sun will be in Libra. The Sun entered Libra at 4:20 AM EDT and this marks the Autumn Equinox as the wheel of the seasons turns. The beginning of each season is marked by the entry of the Sun into one of the cardinal signs (the signs that initiate action: Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn).
Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are moving steadily toward fall. It will not be long before much colder weather comes along; now we must prepare. As we face harsher conditions ahead (Winter), we must not hesitate in our preparation.
Having a partner, lover, and close friends makes the cold winter season easier to face and manage. Our hearts and minds seek intimate connections and diplomacy; we seek pleasure and beauty in all corners of our lives. Notice how your awareness of beauty and love is heightened. But for now, we simply try to join up with another to help keep us warm through those cold days ahead.
Over this past month with the Sun in Virgo, our focus has been on the smallest details of our lives. Now, as the Sun enters Libra, our focus changes considerably. Our attention comes to compromise, negotiation, and fairness. We don’t want to rock the boat. We want pleasure and beauty.
Wednesday afternoon, we are offered the opportunity to explore what is ahead with an eye toward stabilizing the upcoming months. The Libra Sun sextile Saturn at 2:36 PM EDT. Spend time considering exactly what you need to prepare to make sure the upcoming winter finds you in a safe and joyful space.
What do you need to release? Explore the elements of your life that you do not want to bring into the cold season with you. A new cycle of core stabilization will begin in late November as we hunker down into winter.
“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
Thursday, September 24, 2015:
Thursday brings deep intensity to our thoughts and communications, reflecting the Third Quarter square between Mercury and Pluto. Please consider the power of your mind. This is not a superficial consideration.
Understand that your thoughts impact every aspect of your life. Are you ready to fully embody this power of your mind? Can you imagine how your life will change when you fully bring the power of Pluto to your aspirations and dreams? Are you using the power of your mind in the best possible way?
Explore your thinking. How is it reflected in your life? Is this what you want? You can use your mind to bring your life into alignment with your dreams and aspirations. This is the contemplation for Thursday. Be aware of your words to others and how the words of others can trigger you. Observe yourself with full awareness so that you do not get pulled into over-reactions.
Follow the deep path of your own thinking through journaling or meditation.
Mars enters Virgo at 10:17 PM EDT after being in Leo since early August. Mars represents active, assertive energy. He was perfectly happy in Leo where he was able to show off, get dramatic, and play! Now, he moves into Virgo, a sign that is really too sedate for his tastes. Nevertheless, we can use this time of Mars in Leo to our advantage.
What can the aggressiveness of Mars do in such a meticulous sign as Virgo? Mars will push us to buckle down and get to work. This will provide energy for cleaning projects, organizing projects, tackling long overdue details and tasks. Utilize this energy to accomplish many practical projects. Mars remains in Virgo until mid-November.

Friday, September 25, 2015:
What deep battlefields have you trodden since April? What war are you done fighting? On April 16, 2015, Pluto turned retrograde and now she stops and turns direct once more (at 12 degrees Capricorn). We would be remiss to think that once Pluto is moving direct (or when we complete any personal Pluto transit) that we can move ahead as though nothing has occurred.
Wherever Pluto moves, and whatever she impacts, she leaves in her wake a total transformation. Do not take that word lightly. There are still bodies on the battlefield that must be removed and you are not thinking clearly if you don’t think that the removal of those bodies will further transmute some deep inner part of your being.
The Moon is VOC* in Aquarius until she enters Pisces at 3:43 PM EDT.
Mars, having just entered Virgo, squares Saturn on Friday, further tapping down the enthusiasm and direct action Mars always wishes he could face the world with. You may simply not have the energy to engage in the heavy lifting required to move those metaphorical bodies off the battlefield.
For now, you may consider where the next battle will be waged. What began, in terms of stabilizing action, energy, or sexuality, in late August 2015? You can now see that you have gone as far as you are able in that direction. It is time to release and grieve what you have lost, even as you begin to imagine the first glimmer of what will come next.
We live within a series of overlapping cycles, always moving us forward and upward. The most profound pain in our lives comes from thinking our lives move along a straight line toward a destination and that we can hold on to any thing, any person, or any moment.
Seeing life as a spiral helps, understanding constant motion, and constant change is essential. Even as one cycle is beginning, others may be culminating, and others ending. Roll with the changes. Allow motion, movement and constant change.

Saturday, September 26, 2015:
Release the stress of Friday by consciously devoting Saturday to an exploration of your most creative and dreamy nature. Of course, the intensity of Friday does not simply dissolve with the coming of a new day, but this may be one of those times where it feels that way. Allow yourself to rest from the intensity, and possible discomfort, of what feels like constant growth.
Go inward and rest your mind. Allow yourself to enjoy a common purpose with friends or simply spend the day in meditation. Bring your contemplation to deep levels of your inner sensitivity.
Spend the day in the woods; listen to the language of the trees. They will speak directly to you if you take the time to move among them with clarity of attention and an open heart to hear.
“People who don’t know how to use their minds can’t really know how to use their hearts either.” ~ Vironika Tugaleva
Sunday, September 27, 2015:
At 3:28 PM EDT, the Moon leaves the dreamy space of Pisces behind to plow forward into assertive, action oriented Aries. A Full Lunar Eclipse occurs, at 4 degrees of Aries (opposite the Sun in Libra) at 10:50 PM EDT.
A Full Moon Eclipse can be a great support in releasing what is no longer necessary for the development of your higher self. The Sun shines its bright light on your subconscious, illuminating issues that have festered since the last New Moon in Aries back in April 2015.
Now, we see the fruit of the seed we planted 6 months ago. This could be a full joyous birth or a total miscarriage.
Lunar Eclipses can bring extreme emotion to your situation. Spend time with your own quiet wisdom. Trust that even if you feel disconnected from that wisdom, it is there to guide your steps forward.
Be willing to express, and inwardly acknowledge, your deepest vulnerability. It is within that vulnerability that you will connect most deeply with your wisdom.
The people most personally affected are those of you born with personal planets and points at approximately 0 to 8 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn).
“What makes you vulnerable makes you beautiful.” ~ Brene Brown
This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!
If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!
Monday, September 21, the Moon is VOC* (in Sagittarius) following a square to the Sun at 5:00 AM until she enters Capricorn at 8:33 AM EDT.
Tuesday, September 22, the Moon is VOC* (in Capricorn) following a square to Uranus at 7:13 PM EDT, until she enters Aquarius on Wednesday, September 23 at 1:51 PM EDT.
Friday, September 25, the Moon is VOC* (in Aquarius) following an opposition to Venus at 12:02 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 3:43 PM EDT.
Saturday, September 26, the Moon is VOC* (in Pisces) following a sextile to Pluto at 12:32 PM EDT until she enters Aries on Sunday, September 27, At 3:28 PM EDT
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
