I would love to hear from you about how you are doing with the Mercury Retrograde! If you have your chart and know where Mercury is moving, let me know how the house placement is represented in your experience.

Remember!

Do not listen to the negativity you are likely to hear regarding Mercury Retrograde. This is a time that can be well utilized as long as you simply follow a few rules.

#1. Do not start new projects!
#2. Do not begin new agreements
#3. Do not start new communications (if the conversation has not begun before now, do not begin it until Mercury goes direct).
#4. Sort through the information and projects left undone on your desk and in your mind; make a list of everything that needs to be completed
#5. Focus all your attention on the list you just made
#6. Plan on needing more time than usual; adjust and schedule your time accordingly
#7. Be profoundly patient with yourself and others

This is a very powerful week. Our lives will be profoundly impacted, and our lives moved ahead in the area of our charts that hold the Uranus Pluto cycle.

Yes we have talked about this cycle for several years now! By next Summer the energy of this Square Transit (between Uranus and Pluto) will finally be behind us and we will be free to begin the long path of rebuilding our lives and the parts of our culture and world that will continue needing much love and attention.

This week’s VOC* Moon!

Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Monday, October 6, 2014 Moon is VOC* following a Trine to Saturn at 3:38PM EDT, ending at 6:07AM EDT on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 as the Moon enters Aries.

Wednesday, October 8, 2014 Moon is VOC* following a Trine to Jupiter at 10:20AM EDT and ending 7:43AM EDT on Thursday October 9, 2014 as the Moon enters Taurus.

Friday, October 10, 2014 Moon is VOC* following an Opposition to Saturn at 8:48PM EDT and ending at 11:50AM EDT on Saturday October 11, 2014 when the Moon enters Gemini.

Monday, October 6, 2014:

On an emotional level this is a relatively simple day to ease back into the routine ‘work week’. The Moon is in Pisces throughout the day making a Square to Mars early in the morning.

This gives us a good push toward accomplishment and sufficient energy to get things done. At 3:38PM EDT the Moon Trine Saturn, before going VOC* until early Tuesday morning. Spend the afternoon in dreams or contemplation. Practice kindness.

Tuesday, October 7, 2014:

At 6:07 AM EDT the Moon enters Aries offering a fiery determination to the actions of this day.

At 4:57 PM EDT the Sun opposes Uranus completing his (the Sun’s) illumination of the tension within the Uranus – Pluto Square that we have been dealing with for so long. Consider the excitement, new ideas, unusual, or unexpected experiences that began in early April 2014.

The Cycle (Sun – Uranus) that began at that time is now able to release its full creativity. We are able to see how far we have come; we see clearly the success or failure of the project that started at that time. Have we made full use of the opportunity that began at that time? Our vision now holds clarity; we are ready to reap the benefits or release the project.

Where is your internal Rebel fully engaged and prepared for what must be faced at this time? What clarity are you able to see in the bigger transformation that is occurring within your life?

Look at the revolutions, upheaval, and intense battles and transformations around the world today. You don’t have to look very far! How is your personal life reflected within this larger cultural chaos?

Remember, the planets do not make things happen in our lives. The cycles of the planets simply reflect back to us the cycles of our own lives. We cannot blame the planets for the changes in our lives, any more than we can blame the mirror for the changes we see in our reflection each morning.

Wednesday, October 8, 2014:

Full Moon

Do you have planets between 13°and 17° of Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) or Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)? These are sensitive points highlighted by the Aries Full Moon. Anticipate intensification of feelings and emotional reactions. Do whatever it is that helps you to manage strong emotions.

With the Moon in Aries a solitary run, hike, or skydiving may help! Aries must learn individual courage and is not a team player. Allow the Aries Moon to support you to push forward on your own in a direction that scares you! On the other side of fear is empowerment if you only push through.

Individual and humanitarian issues of freedom are highlighted with this Full Moon due to the proximity of Uranus in the configuration. What have you managed to accomplish over the past two weeks in terms of stabilizing your relationships, your finances, and your ability to diplomatically manage your situation? How far have you been able to bring those issues forward over these past two weeks?

As the day progresses, stop pushing; breathe deeply and observe where you find yourself. Sometimes the very process of quietly witnessing our situation can bring change to the entire dynamic.

At 10:20AM EDT, following a Trine to Jupiter, the Moon will be VOC* until early Thursday morning.

At 1:32PM EDT Venus Square Pluto; turmoil, anxiety, and perhaps even, destruction of our love relationships and finances are highlighted. This is the time to stop and reconsider the direction you have been moving regarding what began in mid November 2013.

Within the course of our lives we can expect to build things that later need to be deconstructed. Often times we hold on beyond the time that it is appropriate to let go. Seek clarity in what must be released. Amazing things and people move through our lives, enriching us deeply. Regardless of how precious they may be, ultimately we must open our hands to release them. Do so with honor and love.

At 4:42PM EDT Mars trine Jupiter; powerfully activating the Fire Grand Trine between Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus. This reflects a great deal of excitement and positive trust toward irrevocable action. The cycle between Mars and Jupiter began in July of 2013. Perhaps you felt the need to fight for your beliefs, to promote yourself in some manner, or to expand the direction or depth of your sexuality. Whatever began at that time has changed a great deal and the energy gathered since that time is available as a free flow of energy that can propel you forward. Expansive action moves us forward with great energy.

Thursday, October 9, 2014:

At 7:43AM EDT the Moon enters Taurus. Let us anticipate that this Taurus Moon will bring a bit of calm to the intensity of the week.

Between the Sun’s interaction with Uranus and Pluto in the past week and Venus interacting with Pluto yesterday and Uranus on Saturday, we are in the midst of deep intensity, upheaval, struggle, and/or excitement as we move steadily toward a new life.

For Thursday, however, you can take a break and simply rest.

Taurus need to be able to keep everything stable and calm regardless of what is happening in the general vicinity, to be unflappable in the midst of chaos.

For this evening I would highly recommend quiet time at home with a good movie, a time of meditation, or having friends over for cocktails or a glass of wine.

Do what you can to make this calm more workable to those in your world. Offer a new perspective to everyone who you encounter.

Friday, October 10, 2014:

On Friday Mercury retrogrades back into Libra after having been in Scorpio since September 27th (two weeks ago). Following several weeks of our minds delving into areas of private introspection and/or deep obsession we turn out thinking back to relationships, cooperation, and diplomacy. We are encouraged to relook at ways to bring more balance to our thoughts and minds. Mercury will continue, retrograde until October 25th and will remain in Libra until November 8th.

With the Sun forming a Sextile to Jupiter the Fire Grand trine is activated which adds much needed energy and excitement to the day. Looking to the start of the Sun – Jupiter cycle (which began on July 24th) consider what was rapidly in a growth phase at that time. If something was presented or begun at that time, now you can sink yourself into researching the project that was suggested then and will be acted upon in mid December.

The Moon continues through Taurus on Friday, forming an Opposition to Saturn at 8:48PM EDT, followed by a VOC* until the Moon enters Gemini on Saturday morning.

Saturday October 11, 2014:

Don’t be surprised if you wake Saturday morning with anxiety about the viability of your current relationship status and/or financial status. Concerns are well founded as these are areas that are certainly in flux and will continue to transform over the coming months. You may be surprised to feel emotionally detached from your loved ones. The need for space and freedom may be overwhelming and hard to understand or accept. This energy can often be projected onto our partners and we can be distraught that they seem removed and cool toward us. Please do not take this personally. We all need time for individual growth and we all need space and freedom to develop the truth of who we are.

We long for the extraordinary, the unusual, and the unconventional within the context of our love relationships. We seek freedom at all cost! Finding the balance between freedom and connection is a challenge for all of us. Uranus pushes us to seek the avant-garde. Our ideas and thoughts on relationships may seem unusual, pioneering, innovative, and experimental.

Engage in conversations with others about the unique path that relationship has taken in their lives. We grow up in a world that presents us with very conservative and restrictive ideas about relationships. Go ahead, we really can make our own rules. There are many ways to love. Today is a day to consider what will make your heart sing even as you take a path less traveled.

Sunday, October 12, 2014:

The Moon is in Gemini all day on Sunday without stressful aspects. Gemini Moon loves to spend the day in simple pleasures of exploration! Explore thoughts and ideas with friends. Gather together with casual acquaintances and friends.

Discuss the less traveled path of relationships that we talked about with Saturday’s connection between Venus and Uranus.

This is not the day to deal with the deep challenges we will face in our newly defined relationships. This is a day to simply discuss the thoughts, ideas, and new perspectives on a level of surface curiosity. Invite your friends to gather, enjoy the perspective others bring to the table. Share your ideas and experiences. Stories help us to understand our selves and our place in the world.

______________________________
* In these weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation
