Not only is this blog post a day late, but this is an abbreviated post as well.

In writing this blog I believe my work is to inform you of the changes in the astrological cycles in order to help you understand how to manage significant changes in your personal life.

Change is rampant in our lives at this time; my life is no exception!

These weekly posts take a good deal of effort and I generally spend the better part of my weekend working on them. This weekend, however, I allowed myself to set the blog post on the back burner.

Brenda and I spent the weekend in Portsmouth, New Hampshire enjoying a lovely road trip and beautiful autumn weather!

There are two things that are crucially important to me in providing me with the energy I need to get through the cold Vermont winters.

  1. Bonfires! There are few things in the world be my soul more than building a fire, feeding a fire (the bigger the better), and watching that fire die slowly to embers.
  2. The powerful Atlantic Ocean! I need to soak up the energy of the surf against the rocky Maine coast, to breath the salty air, to hear the sea gulls scream.

I was very fortunate to encounter more bonfires this year than most, and still have a few planned in the coming weeks!

There have been major changes in my personal life that have shifted previously stable routines and with that upheaval I had resigned myself to not seeing the ocean at all this year.

That all changed with the opportunity for an unexpected trip to Portsmouth New Hampshire this weekend!!

It was such an unexpected treat. However, it didn’t take up my blog writing time!

So, please forgive me! It won’t happen often but this was more important than it may seem!! Think of me at the ocean, feeling the wind in my hair, building energy to get through the long cold Vermont winter as I guide you with the cycles of the planets!

This will be a simple quick post! Luckily it is somewhat of a simple, quick week!

The most significant thing about this week is that we are now on the other side of the eclipses! We are each moving quickly in the direction of our future!

Now on to the days of the week! With a quick detour for the times of the VOC* Moon!

This week: The VOC* Moon!

Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Monday, October 27, 2014 Moon is VOC* following a Trine to Jupiter at 12:18 PM EDT and ending on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 6:03 AM EDT as the Moon enters Capricorn.

Wednesday, October 29, 2014 Moon is VOC* following a Sextile to Saturn at 11:01PM EDT and ending on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 9:52AM EDT as the Moon enters Aquarius.

Saturday, November 1, 2014 Moon is VOC* following a Square to Saturn at 2:22 AM EDT and ending at 12:36 PM EDT when the Moon enters Pisces.

Monday, October 27, 2014:
UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF YOUR DREAMS

A lovely Sagittarius Moon encourages us to explore new realities and encounter new people. Consider what you can learn from the lives that other people live. Our experiences are so varied and rich.

We learn so much by asking questions from a place of sincerity and curiosity about how others view and experience the world.

In early April 2014, Venus and Neptune began a new cycle. Through this cycle we are learning the deep value of our dreams. Today a Trine is formed between Venus and Neptune. We are able to deepen our own understanding and help others understand the true value of those dreams.

Consider that without the dreams, there will be no plans, and without the plans we would not move forward to bring what is most important into our lives.
Open your life with the creativity of bringing your dreams to life. Understand the importance of where you put your mind, your imagination, and your dreams!

Tuesday, October 28, 2014:

On Tuesday the Moon enters Capricorn at 6:03AM EDT bringing the playful nature of the last few days to an end. This is an emotionally serious day, a lot can be accomplished if you work hard and pay attention to the importance of where you direct your energies.

The Sun Trine Neptune at 5:48 AM EDT; this is a continuation of the energies of yesterday when Venus Trine Neptune.

Again, pay attention to your creativity. Find ways to bring your dreams to life. Remember the importance of your dreams and the attention that you give them! Monday and Tuesday are great days for creative exploration, creative endeavors, and bringing that creativity to the service of bringing your dreams to life.

Get out your art supplies; play and create beauty. Relax into those things that expand your awareness; fantasy, music, poetry, meditation! This is a day when something of value, great beauty, and/or possibly money can find its way into your life. Open your heart, watch the patterns, and prepare yourself to encounter the reality of your dreams. Creation is a beautiful thing.

Wednesday, October 29, 2014:

Wednesday would be a great day to spend alone. Life has changed a great deal since summer began! You could use some time alone to contemplate your personal transformation.

If you are in the company of others on Wednesday make it a point to be patient and kind. It would be easy to fall into aggravation, impatience, and frustration.

The Moon is in Capricorn throughout the day making hard aspects to the closing square between Pluto and Uranus. The Moon also squares Mercury; you will do well to pay attention to your conversations and understand that others may perceive you as harsh or angry.

Time alone in contemplation would be a great use of this day.

Thursday, October 30, 2014:

The moon is VOC* following a Sexile to Saturn on Wednesday night. The Moon enters Aquarius (and being the VOC) at 9:52AM EDT. The Aquarius Moon forms her First Quarter Square to the Sun at 10:49PM EDT.

Consider the New Moon Eclipse that occurred last week. If you made an aspiration or plan at the Scorpio New Moon, this is the time to take action on whatever plan you set in motion. This is the time to move forward with that plan. Determine what one action you can take that will support your motion forward on your individual path.

Friday, October 31, 2014:

This is Halloween!

The Moon is in Aquarius and it is a Friday night! This Halloween go for the costumes that are incredibly unique and unusual rather than frightening. This is a night for the unusual, and wildly unpredictable! You may be surprised to find that folks are feeling rebellious, independent, and ready to move forward in support of something that you didn’t think they would.

Determine early on in the day that nothing will surprise you! The most conservative person you know could come out with the most unconventional ideas on a day like this! Enjoy it! Keep yourself above any emotional turmoil; emotional detachment is a very valuable skill that will come easily on Friday. If you pay attention, by the end of this that you understand the usefulness and value of the Aquarian emotional detachment. This is a very valuable lesson!

Enjoy Halloween!

Saturday November 1, 2014:

Saturday brings us to a very complex day! We start out with the Moon going VOC* at 2:22AM EDT following a Square to Saturn. At 12:36PM EDT the Moon enters Pisces bringing a passive, sensitive, and mystical feel to the weekend.

Indeed this is a complicated day; a day that may bring possibilities and opportunities to the table.

Saturday morning could be an ideal time to deliver communications that may be difficult for you to speak or for the other person to hear (Mercury Sextile Jupiter). In delivering those communications keep an eye on any tendencies to exaggeration. Try to keep compassion and caring as the base of these communications. This is likely to be a conversation around letting go of something.

Keep your eyes open to opportunities for money and/or love. At 7:08PM EDT Venus Sextile Pluto empowers our sense of beauty and connection. Pay attention to the places where beauty, love, and empowerment intersect. We have the opportunity to bring powerful energies to our love relationships, and to our ability to make money, at this time!

As if that weren’t enough for one day we also have Mars Sextile Neptune! This offers the possibility of bringing the energy of strength and action to the support of our dreams and our fantasies!

Bringing these powerful opportunistic Sextiles together in this one weekend brings the consideration: (1.) Our expansive open conversations can lead to (2.) Great empowerment in our relationships, which can lead to (3.) the strength of great energy supporting and building our dreams!

Sunday, November 2, 2014:

Settle in for a dreamy Pisces Moon kind of day!

Consider that the moon sets the emotional tone for the day. When the moon is in Pisces we feel that we are swimming in emotional sensitivity, Imaginative currents, and a half patent sense of empathy.

The boundaries between us dissolved while the moon is passing to place. Our ability to connect with compassion is emphasized. This is a day to find healthy ways to escape the harsh realities of our world. The ways that people do this range from drinking or drugs through all types of addictions, meditation spirituality poetry and music. All of these things seemed to soften our harder edges, and to put us in tot’s with something outside of ourselves. If you can find water nearby; an ocean or lake, spend time there on Sunday. Movies for the theater can also expand our inner resources.

It’s easy to lose our selves in fantasy, Imagination, or simply daydreaming. If you start the day with focus on a creative project at the end of today would have something to show for this space of mind. You could also spend the day in mystical spiritual contemplation. Regardless of how you spend the day your boundaries are softened. Enjoy.

______________________________
* in these weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
