HIDDEN ISSUES; BREAK FREE
Monday, October 1, 2018:
After the past five months of Pluto retrograde, we begin a new week with this tiny powerhouse of a planet moving forward. Some hidden issues (in the culture and possibly, our personal lives) begin to break out of the swamp it has been relegated to.
I call Pluto a planet regardless of its official astronomical classification. Astrologically, Pluto holds great intensity, depth, and deep power and empowerment. There is conversation in the astronomical world of possibly reclassifying Pluto as a planet once again. Keep an eye on that story in the coming weeks.
Watch for something to rise, newly transformed from the ashes of recent suffering. It is time to look into the dark areas of your deepest self and find the courage to be fully vulnerable with your honesty.
The Moon is in sensitive Cancer on Monday. When the Moon is in Cancer, you will reach for comfort food and the safety of family and intimate loved ones. You will want to retreat to the place you feel most at home. You may feel more nostalgic and domestic than usual. Your emotions are heightened and you may be consumed with memories and thoughts of the past. This may be a very moody day; go ahead and indulge in that chocolate cake or whatever soothes your soul.

 
STAND STRONG
Tuesday, October 2, 2018:
Your thoughts and words are heated and feelings easily hurt with Mercury square Pluto on Tuesday. Allow anger to translate into productive action on the issues that make you want to put your head under the pillow and cry.
Find the power in your voice and within your mind to begin to make a difference. Consider running for office, however big or small. We must make this world a safe place for our children.
You may also be called to engage your mind in deep psychological exploration or other transformative, intellectual study. Your thoughts need to go deeply into realms of the mind and heart that may often remain hidden.
The Moon remains in the tender, watery realm of Cancer making a combination of easy and rough aspects with other planets throughout the day. This is likely to be a very moody day with lots of unsettled emotions. Seek objectivity. Don’t let hurt feelings slow you down from what you need to do.
 

DEEP ROOTS FROM THE PAST
Wednesday, October 3, 2018:
Wednesday morning you may awake from over the top emotional dreams and begin the day feeling hypersensitive. When the Moon is in Cancer, issues of home and family are emphasized. You want to connect with your early roots and seek out family members who make you feel safe and cared for.
This is a day where you would prefer to withdraw from all outside obligations and spend time at home with your dearest loved ones. Call your mother or your sister if that is an option, allow vulnerability and empathy to expand. Reminisce about the past as you grow in understanding of where you are sustained through the deep roots of the past.
At 5:12 PM EDT, you are ready to shake off nostalgic sensitivity and seek creative activities and fun. You may be ready for socializing if you can find folks who are light-hearted and willing to engage in boisterous playfulness.

 
SEEK OR OFFER APPLAUSE
Thursday, October 4, 2018:
Have you noticed how issues of love, beauty, and finances have all taken on a heavy element and focus in recent days? As Venus has slowed in preparation to turn retrograde on Friday, issues of women, relationship, money, resources, fairness, balance, and beauty are highlighted for deep contemplation and learning.
We will continue to refer to this over the coming weeks. With Venus in Scorpio, we are asked to look at the deepest layers of love and the profound power dynamics in love and resources.
The Moon is in Leo all day suggesting a strong ability to show ourselves more directly that perhaps at other times. Leo brings the energy to be seen and recognized. This is not a time to hide your unique self. The Leo Moon encourages dramatic self-expression and playful creativity. You will want to be seen, appreciated, and expressly loved.
Take creative risks, allow others to see a part of yourself that you normally keep under wraps. Allow your most sparkly side to shine through. If you are more of an introvert, this it is good to spend with children and to express your appreciation of others during Leo Moon. If you do not want to be on stage, applaud someone who does.
 
A DEEP DIVE INTO AWARENESS
Friday, October 5, 2018:
At 3:04 PM EDT at 10° Scorpio, Venus takes her first steps in Retrograde motion. Venus will remain retrograde until November 16^th when she will turn Direct at 25° Libra.
Venus is the planet that refers to women, beauty, love, resources, and money. Venus relates to our most personal values and what we find beautiful and of deep, enduring value. When Venus is retrograde, it is important that we slow down regarding these issues. This is not the time for new love, new commitments, or thoughtless spending. It is important at this time to deeply contemplate your values and the direction those values move you in.
With Venus currently in Scorpio, it is necessary for your contemplation to be profoundly deep. Consider where you may have misused your values, love, money, and beauty. Where are you unaware of privilege in your life? How do you need to shift and change your values to better serve humanity?
Much has changed in the realm of Scorpio since Jupiter entered this profound, private sign last October when it brought us the #MeToo movement. Now, we see where the #MeToo movement has brought us and consider the direction forward. No action yet. We are growing strong in the hidden depths of emotional empowerment and contemplation.
For most of the day, the Moon is in Leo, suggesting that we are willing to be seen and to roar loudly.
However, at 7:19 PM EDT, the Moon enters Virgo. You may notice yourself drawn toward practical activities in the evening before bed. You may want to analyze all the profound depth Venus is asking you to explore. Don’t start cleaning out the closets this evening, wait for the weekend. The Moon will remain in Virgo all weekend, giving you plenty of time for organization and house cleaning.

 

ACCOMPLISHMENT AND SATISFACTION
Saturday, October 6, 2018:
With the Moon in tidy, meticulous Virgo, you can settle in for a day of practical activities. You may want to work on organizational, research, or analytical projects.  Try not to get too caught up in super high expectations.
Don’t allow perfectionism to stop progress but do work on projects that require attention to detail. Perhaps, this is the day to get caught up on yard work, housecleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry. These are not glamorous activities but ones that can leave you feeling accomplished and satisfied at the end of the day.
As the Moon opposes Neptune at 7:05 PM EDT, this is a great night to take in a film or an extra glass of wine. Don’t get sloshed but do enjoy the letting your hair down in an easy, quiet manner. Time on the meditation cushion will do the same.
 
FLOWERS AT BEDTIME
Sunday, October 7, 2018:
You can expect a quiet day on Sunday with the Moon passing through service-oriented Virgo, making no aspects for most of the day. When the Moon is in Virgo, you can get caught up in analyzing and trying to fix what you see as less than ideal in yourself and others.
Your expectations may be higher than usual regarding yourself, your partner, your family, and anything else that you encounter on Sunday. Try to curb the tendency to be critical of yourself and others. Notice that unpleasant tone in your voice and seek to replace it with understanding and kindness.
Being of practical service will relax your internal self-criticism. Consider what you can offer that will help others in need. Focus on being available, observing, respecting, and releasing judgment.
At 9:10 PM EDT, the Moon enters Libra and you will be able to connect with a partner or loved one is a balanced way before bedtime. Create a bit of romance before beginning the upcoming week. Don’t neglect flowers on the bedside table.
