Spooks remain after Halloween
These are challenging times for all of us as we await the Lunar Eclipse on Tuesday. With Halloween in the rear-view window, we all feel spooked by the events we see playing out in the world around us.
I encourage each of you to engage in a respectful conversation with at least one person whose politics or worldview is in opposition to your own. You won’t have to look too far to find someone with opposing views. Be respectful, but not only that! Truly listen and allow yourself to understand. There are very real reasons we each think the way we do. We may see things from a perspective that seems to hold no common ground with that other person. Nevertheless, soften your heart and steady your nerves. You will be surprised at how much common ground there is beneath or beyond the rhetoric on both sides.
Let go of the rhetoric and come together as humans with real-world concerns. You do not have to change your own thinking to understand another. Listening, speaking, and understanding another point of view does not weaken you. You, your relationships, and our communities are strengthened by this exercise.

THE DARK SEASON OF ELECTIONS

This is the first day of Daylight Savings Time. It is going to get dark so early, be sure to prepare yourself emotionally for this dark time.
Isn’t it interesting that Elections are held during Scorpio Season? Each year we are spooked by the transformation that the elections can and often do bring.
Shortly after midnight, the Moon entered Taurus. We want to settle into calm normalcy and enjoy pleasure, stability, and beauty. When the Moon is in this fixed earth sign that is often what is foremost in our desires.
Also, in the wee hours of the morning, Venus formed a challenging square aspect with Saturn. You may feel a tight restriction holding you apart from those desires you long for.
Something or someone is restricting you, telling you that you do not deserve it, or you have no business desiring what you desire. This can leave you feeling more inhibited than usual and overly concerned with what others think.
This inner discomfort and concern can lead to misunderstandings. Moving forward on issues of love, finances, or creativity may feel hindered or thwarted. Don’t blame anyone. Simply wait. In a day or so this blockage will step aside and you’ll be able to move forward more easily. Spend the day managing practical and solitary projects of long-term importance.

What a day! Hang onto your hat.
At 5:59 AM ET, we reach the Full Lunar Eclipse at 15° Taurus. There is so much to say about this eclipse and the fact that it occurs on Election day. Jennie and I will post our video conversation about it which I will let speak for itself. For now, suffice it to say that Eclipses are global events, wild cards that bring unexpected changes that resonate far into the future. The fact that this eclipse is tied directly into the Saturn square Uranus aspect brings its global impact into clear relief. The square aspect between Saturn and Uranus has been activated since the start of 2021. This points to powerful social change that has been building throughout this time.
Eclipses occur when the nodal axis is very close to a New or Full Moon. At these times a portal to the future opens, ushering us into a new dimension of understanding. Like it or not, we are set on a new path.
For now, let’s consider how this will impact you personally. If you have personal planets or points between 13 – 17 degrees of Taurus or Scorpio you can expect a very personal impact. Changes occurring now will have a profound effect on your long-range plans and path forward. To understand the story in your life, pay particular attention to the houses in your chart that hold Taurus and Scorpio.
This is a day to keep your eyes open and watch what is going on around you.

The cycle between Mercury and Uranus is a cycle of waking us up to how and what we think and speak about. This cycle began at the conjunction between these two planets in Taurus on April 18, 2022. Consider your thinking, conversations, or study at that time. How far has your thinking developed since then? Can you track the progress of your mind? What have you awakened to?

At 8:37 AM ET the Moon enters Gemini. With the Moon in Gemini, we are pulled to stimulating conversations and mental gymnastics. This can help your emotions stabilize while the Moon is in this quick-moving mutable Air sign. Without mental stimulation, it will be easy to become irritable or anxious. Keep your mind occupied and try to keep it light-hearted. You can anticipate restless mental activity for the next few days.
In the wee hours of the morning, the Sun opposes Uranus bringing us to the halfway point of the cycle between them that began on May 5, 2022. Do you remember beginning a path toward personal freedom at that time? How far have you come in seeking self-determination or a very unique path since that time?

With the Moon in Gemini today it is important to use your intellect and your voice. Your mind is busy and you want to explore and share ideas and conversations with others. You may prefer to stay on a surface level but given the state of the world, prepare to look deeper at your assumptions in the coming days.
The two cycles that are directly impacting today and tomorrow are pulling us in very different directions. It is important to do your best to hold two views at once, balancing one and then the other.
In the wee hours of the morning, Mercury formed a square aspect to Saturn. This demands that you face and speak on behalf of reality as you see it. You may find yourself backed into a corner where you must set clear boundaries in order to feel safe for future engagement. Perhaps you must face the reality of how your own thinking has changed since the start of this cycle in early March 2022.
At 7:21 AM ET Venus forms a smooth-flowing trine aspect to Neptune. Venus is the planet that represents personal values of love, money, and connection. Neptune is the planet that dissolves boundaries and encourages us to dream and imagine.
You may find yourself setting aside all your worries and concerns as you enjoy feeling a gentle connection to life itself. You may experience great empathy and compassion for others. The problem with this transit today is that it contradicts the Mercury – Saturn transit. The clear boundaries we talked about will struggle to hold up. It can be hard to know what is real and what is an illusion.
Creative projects, romance, and empathy are highlighted. Unfortunately so are lack of clarity and foggy thinking. Focus on compassion, and empathy, and don’t believe everything you hear.
Hold steady as you wait for this one to pass. Listening to music, reading or writing poetry will combine these two energies and bring some solace.

The day begins with the Moon still moving through Gemini. Your busy mind holds the key to your emotions. You may feel mentally and emotionally exhausted as this intense difficult week winds down. With the Moon in Cancer for the next few days, hunker down with loved ones and focus on love, family, and domestic issues.
In the wee hours of the morning the Sun, in Scorpio formed a challenging square aspect to Saturn, in Aquarius. This brings Saturn, the authoritative teacher of the zodiac into direct conflict with the powerful energy of the Sun. You may need to exert considerable effort to manage a general sense of aggravation or frustration.
Under this transit, it is easy to feel pessimistic or even depressed. Perhaps you believed you were owed something that did not come to fruition. You must release something before you can move forward.
You may want to throw in the towel but there is still work to do. The tension that you feel over the next day or two is pointing you in the direction of the effort required. The Moon is in Cancer today and tomorrow. Perhaps many folks are hunkering down with loved ones to lick the wounds of defeat. Others will be spending time with loved ones celebrating things turning out as they desired. Either way, we all look for emotional connection and comfort when the Moon is in this cardinal Water sign.
Although the Moon is very much at home in Cancer due to its rulership of this sign, that does not translate to it being necessarily an easy time. This is a time of deep sensitivity and even moodiness. Your best bet is to focus on domestic activities, deep motivations, and connections with close family and intimate friends.
