Poem for the week:

On the day when
the weight deadens
on your shoulders
and you stumble,
may the clay dance
to balance you.
And when your eyes
freeze behind
the grey window
and the ghost of loss
gets in to you,
may a flock of colours,
indigo, red, green,
and azure blue
come to awaken in you
a meadow of delight.
When the canvas frays
in the currach of thought
and a stain of ocean
blackens beneath you,
may there come across the waters
a path of yellow moonlight
to bring you safely home.
May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
and so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your life.

Over the coming year, we will continue to talk about the square formed between Saturn and Neptune. We will be asked to untangle some confusing internal struggles. Where do you experience a conflict between compassion and safety? This is Saturn square Neptune. If you look beyond your own skin and into the fabric of our culture, you can see it clearly indeed. The question comes down to how to protect the self and show compassion toward others.
You may find yourself in difficult situations where it seems that you have no choice but to either be kind and compassionate or put your safety and security first. We must each work to find a balance, to respond with compassion and kindness, and guard our safety.
This is the question of the year; this is a deep, powerful, and universal struggle. There are no easy answers. Only remember that closing your heart is never, absolutely never, the correct choice.

Monday, November 30, 2015:
The week begins on a high note with the moon in Leo making lovely aspects to Saturn, the Sun, and Mars.
Keep in mind that the Moon moves through the signs quite rapidly. She spends between two and 2 ½ days in each sign. Consider that the Moon carries with her the emotional backdrop of our lives. As she passes through each sign, she brings the energy of that sign into the emotional environment of the day.
The sign of Leo must learn to outwardly express what hides deep within. Therefore, when the Moon moves through Leo we feel the urge to express that which is internal.
The drama, performance, and sometimes, childlike behavior of the Leo archetype is for the purpose of expression. Any person with a strong Leo signature in their horoscope must find a way to outwardly express what is internal.
On Monday, we experience the high side of Leo: the joy, the pleasure, and the playfulness. Unless, of course you have something to hide, in which case stay clear of anyone you may spill the beans to!
Whatever is internal wants to be expressed. Find a playful friend and enjoy!
Tuesday, December 1, 2015:
The Moon remains in Leo offering another day of high expressive energy. However, Tuesday brings this energy to a new level of intensification, excitement, or stress as Mercury trine Uranus, even as the Leo Moon joins them to form a grand trine in Fire. The Universe wants a party of expression!
What needs to be said can be said easily, dramatically, and joyfully. Expect the unexpected. If you have secrets, they may be revealed at this time. If you are freely expressing what is internal, this is a time of great excitement.
If you are withholding communications and information that you do not want others to know, this can be a time of great tension. Watch for secrets being revealed amid great tension or great excitement.
If you notice a new interest or curiosity, do not ignore it; there is something for you to learn within that curiosity. Something is calling you forward. Expect the unexpected; watch for it; allow it to move you.

Wednesday, December 2, 2015:
In case your attention wandered, Wednesday brings you back to the issues regarding your struggle between compassion and safety.
The Moon enters Virgo early in the day encouraging you to keep your feet planted firmly in practical reality. Even as you contemplate the confusing place where caution meets sensitivity and restriction meets imagination, take steps to get practical issues handled on Wednesday.
No big ideas, just practical routine accomplishment. As much as possible, allow both sides of the conversation to have space, avoid thinking you have to solve something right now.
Sit with it, weigh the two sides of the conversation. Your heart has an answer; your head may have a different one. Which do you listen to? Which dragon do you feed with your attention?
It makes all the difference. The one you feed is the one who will grow stronger.
Thursday, December 3, 2015:
The Third Quarter Moon (in Virgo) reminds us that there is a point of release in all things. The lunar cycle that began at the New Moon on November 11, came to its full illumination at the Full Moon last Wednesday, November 25th, and now comes to the point where releasing and letting go is inevitable. Between now and the next New Moon on December 11th, is the time to release and let go.
With the Moon in Virgo squaring the Sun in Sagittarius, your heart and mind are once again seeking different directions and different paths. Acknowledge both, while owning your personal responsibility in all things.
Move slowly through this day gaining practical accomplishments and seeking practical skills.
Pay close attention and release your desire to have things look, or ‘turn out’, a certain way. Continue to hold space for differing ideas and opinions within yourself and between yourself and others.
Friday, December 4, 2015:
On Friday, Mercury (in Sagittarius) squares Jupiter (the planet that rules Sagittarius). Your ideas and opinions are strong and you want to hold them tightly.
Think back to August; what new curiosity or idea did you encounter? This was an idea that asked you to travel into new territory. If you can identify what that idea, interest, or curiosity was, now is the time to take significant action that will move that idea into a future reality.
The Moon is VOC* in Scorpio until she enters Libra at 5:34 PM EST. Spend the evening with loved ones or in the creation of beauty; contemplate your big ideas and prepare for a shift in values over the coming days.
At 11:15 PM EST, Venus enters Scorpio. Venus has been happily enjoying her time in Libra since September 29th. Now, as she moves into Scorpio you will notice your values moving into deeper waters.
It is not enough to create charm and beauty, now you must bring your creation into more difficult areas that will transform you. You are asked to look into your darkest corners and to understand that neither beauty nor partnership can protect you from the intensity that dwells within.
Look deeply within and allow an inner transformation of your values.

Saturday, December 5, 2015:
Saturday, you may spend in the assimilation of the new energies at hand. Adjust to the deeper sense of your values. What changes did your activities of Friday night bring? Did something occur that brought your ideas and thoughts onto a deeper playing field?
And, oh… let’s not neglect to mention that on Sunday we have a very intense transit that we will feel strongly over the last few days of this week. It will feel very strong on Saturday and heighten even more on Sunday.
If you notice dangerous levels of anger, aggression, or risk taking behaviors, please take some time out, go for a run, or find another way to release this energy without burning any bridges or causing difficulties for yourself or others.
It is important to remain connected to the reality of others. Sometimes it is easy to get so caught up in our own experiences that we forget how real the lives of others are and how profoundly our communications and actions impact them as well.
Sunday, December 6, 2015:
Please re-read the post from Saturday and consider how aggression and power dynamics are currently impacting your life. The tension and struggle is necessary for the purpose of release and letting go of something that needs to be relegated to the past.
Let’s look back to the full cycle between Mars and Pluto; this is a 2 year cycle that began in November 2014 and will be complete in October 2016. This is a cycle of transforming sexual and physical energies through empowerment, purification, and transformation.
The full illumination of this cycle occurred in July 2015. This can have a lot to do with developing courage and utilizing the power necessary to transform your life.
These are tricky energies to handle as they are very powerful and are not easily managed. If you are in a situation that does not feel altogether safe, pay attention to your intuition and make sure you find a safe space. If you need support, seek it.
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
