OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPANSION AND EXPRESSION

The week begins with the Moon in the mutable Water sign of Pisces. When the Moon is in Pisces we often focus on the need to rest, daydream or meditate. However, there are powerful indications that energy will be easy to tap into this morning even as the Moon keeps your heart in a state of dreaminess. 
 
At 7:04 AM ET, the Taurus Sun sextiles Jupiter, currently in fast-acting Aries. You’ll likely be up and ready to roll as soon as the alarm wakes you. This transit suggests an optimistic day (or two) where you are able to look at the bright side of situations and circumstances. Your sense of integrity and fairness is strong. You feel that you are moving in the right direction and can see a broader perspective than usual. Allow your mind to open and broaden and you may see what has illuded you in the past.
 
If opportunities are presented that feel good today, say yes and enjoy knowing you’ve taken a positive step forward. 
 
At 11:26 PM ET, Mercury, still retrograde sextiles Mars. This offers you an opportunity to reengage with a conversation that may need clarification. You are able to articulate your position in a new way. The conversation or communication involved is an ongoing topic, not a ‘one-and-done’ situation. Engage boldly in the topic at hand. Do not shy away and don’t try to wrap it up either. With Mercury retrograde, this is only one step in the story, one part of the negotiations. Brainpower and concentration are strong and you will be able to make good progress if you speak and listen.

MARS ENTERS ARIES: ACTION, PASSION, CONFIDENCE

The Moon remains in Pisces for the bulk of the day. Enjoy what rest you can as life will be moving more quickly than we may wish by tomorrow morning! With the Moon in Pisces, you may feel great sensitivity and compassion toward others. We can feel what others feel and we want to help them all.

Do what you can to be of service to others but don’t neglect your own self-care at this time. Take time for a bath, a massage, or just spend time daydreaming.

At 7:05 AM ET, Venus forms a lovely sextile aspect to Saturn. This suggests an opportunity for support and ease in your close relationships. You may enjoy an open sense of fulfillment as tensions are released and your self-esteem grows in accordance.  For the full gift of a sextile, we must put in some effort. Give your time or resources to someone who needs your help. This will give your self-esteem more of a boost than you expect today.

At 5:40 PM ET, the Moon leaves behind the sensitivity and tenderness of Pisces and takes a very active role as it enters the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries. While the Moon is in Aries you may be impatient to push forward. Remember that Mercury is retrograde. Hold steady.

At 7:17 PM ET, Mars follows the Moon from Pisces into Aries. This is a dramatic shift. Mars rules Aries and will not hold back regarding personal ambition, drive, and action. The power of Mars is very strong and it will remain in this dominant position until July 5, 2022. Find the house (use whole sign house system) that holds Aries in your chart. In this area of your life, you will tend toward spontaneity, fast action, and courage. Drive, passion, competition, and confidence increase.

When Mars moves through Aries we tend toward pushing forward without caution and without beating around the bush. Remember that courage, confidence, and fast action can get us into trouble, but it can also result in our getting exactly what we need. Pay attention as best you can to discern the difference.

MAKE YOUR POSITION CLEAR

Today’s Aries Moon seeks personal challenges that require courage and can be done on your own. With Aries in the sign of assertive direct action, the desire to move forward is strong.

Your energy should be quite high today but don’t let anger catch you unaware. With Mercury retrograde, we are in a waiting pattern and may feel like we are chomping at the bit. Exercise will help, use your physical body to release frustration.

At 5:48 PM ET, Mercury (retrograde) forms a lovely trine aspect to Pluto, the planet of empowerment. Don’t let others assume your position on ideas and plans, make your ideas and needs clear to those who need to know. Folks will listen and hear you today.

Also, pay attention to how you can benefit from the powerful cultural issues, ideas, and trends that you see in the world around you.

HOT DYNAMIC ACTION

The Aries Moon is hot and dynamic. You may react faster than usual to things that occur in your environment. You are apt to feel daring and courageous. Your energy is high and you will do well to use your body in a strong physical manner. Go for a hike, head out on your bike or go running or dancing. This is a time to focus on the self.

When the Moon is in Aries we often act without forethought. We are in a hurry and our emotions are less sensitive than usual.

Watch out for the potentially loose cannon of your thoughts, words, and actions. You may be reluctant to cooperate with others as you want what you want and have less regard for the opinion of others. Doing your own thing, on your own is the best way to get anything done today. Direct force and vitality push you forward.

When the Moon is in Aries we can easily burn bridges, therefore it is a good idea to keep a corner of your mind focused on patience and kindness.

CLEAR AND SOLID BOUNDARIES

Long before you wake this morning the Moon has entered Taurus. Think about the image of the Bull. Taurus is not the raging bull we see in images of bullfights, but the Bull who knows it can rest in its considerable power.

Ferdinand the Bull is the perfect symbol of Taurus. Taurus knows its power and strength and has no need to engage it when it is not necessary. Taurus is far more interested in sitting under the tree smelling the spring flowers.

This is the fixed earth sign ruled by Venus. Here we see the sensual side of Venus, the side that connects us to reverence, the earth, sensuality, and tangible resources.

However, this is not a simple day.  Venus, the ruler of Taurus, forms a challenging square aspect to Pluto in the early hours of the morning. This troublesome transit will impact us for several days. This may be a difficult time for partnerships as we work to understand our personal values and make needed changes in our relationships. Take a clear look at the dynamics that are profoundly impacting your closest friends and partners.

It is time to revisit your boundaries and get clear with yourself on what is most important to you. Do not use boundaries to try to get others to change. Boundaries are about what we will do, not what others will do. If your boundaries are clear and solid you will know the changes that you need to make.

We can never change another person, only ourselves. Life gets much easier when this is finally clear.

CONNECTION, CONTENTMENT, SIMPLICITY: VENUS ENTERS TAURUS

The Moon continues through Taurus today. Look for pleasure and the security that comes with stability and beauty. Taurus is the fixed Earth sign, bringing us a day of seeking pleasure, sensuality, and creature comforts.

When the Moon is in this sign folks are likely to have more patience than usual and are more interested in comfort and pleasure. Taurus is a very physical sign that can be as immovable as the earth itself. Taurus asks that we slow down and very deliberately set all hurry aside. One foot in front of the other, one step at a time. Who wins the race, the tortoise or the hare?

At 10:45 AM ET, Venus enters Taurus, the sign of its rulership. Venus is the planet that represents issues of love, connection, romance, money, and resources. Venus is delighted to leave Aries behind and enter her home sign where she will remain until June 22. During this time she will assist us in connecting more deeply and authentically with our loved ones.

We are interested in committed relationships, sensual connections, and all that is luxurious. This is a good time to rebuild relationships that have struggled in recent months. Do this by simplifying the complexities that have created difficulties in your finances and love relationships. Focus on enjoying sensual connections, beauty, and simplicity.

FOCUSED COURAGE – DIRECT ACTION

At 6:30 AM ET, Mars and Jupiter conjunct in the assertive direct sign of Aries. You can expect several days of focused courage, powerful energy, and direct action. You may feel great strength and self-confidence.

Look for the house that holds Aries in your natal chart (use the whole sign house system) to understand the area of your life that will be impacted strongly. This is the beginning of a two-year cycle of energizing a powerful expansion of assertiveness and physical strength. This is a great time for initiating action and getting difficult tasks completed.

Whereas we have been focused on our physical comfort and pleasures over the past few days, now we are ready to gather information, talk, and learn. We are driven by curiosity and seek a variety of ideas and opinions.

This afternoon your emotions will be focused on social curiosity and excitement. You will need connections and conversations with others in order to maintain emotional equilibrium.
