STRIVE FOR ACHIEVEMENT
Monday, May 15, 2017:
You may find yourself ready and even pleased to get to work on Monday morning. With the Moon in Capricorn, it is a good time to focus your attention on those things that you want to be known and respected for. Focus on your career, aspirations, and the projects in your life that are worth striving to achieve.
The energy of the Capricorn Moon is conscious, reserved, and practical. This is a time to look clearly at the realities of your experience and take the steps necessary to gain forward motion in your job and accomplishments. You will want to be useful and productive without drama or turbulent emotions.
This is a day to develop clear boundaries and realistic goals, not a time to take risks. Pay attention to the people in your life who have the wisdom of age and experience.  Work on organizational and practical projects and duties.
As the Moon moves through conservative Capricorn, she joins with Pluto at 4:24 PM EDT, asking that you take note of where you may be out of integrity regarding issues of power and control. Pay attention and release.
Happy Birthday to Pierre Curie, Dave Battick, Kathy Holmes, Annelies Smith, Sophie Grenier, and Liesje Smith!

SIMPLIFY AND SHAKE UP YOUR THINKING
Tuesday, May 16, 2017:
Shortly after midnight Monday night, Mercury left hotheaded Aries behind to enter reliable Taurus once again. Mercury initially entered Taurus on March 31st but proceeded to retrograde back into Aries where it has remained until now. Ideas and plans that have been on the back burner are now ready to be pushed forward. While on the backburner during Mercury’s retrograde, those ideas have been reviewed, reconsidered, revised, and analyzed.
Look for new inspiration and the patience necessary to take slow, deliberate steps to manifest your desires. While Mercury is in Taurus, your thinking is slower, deeper, and more methodical. Your approach to life, in general, is more relaxed; thoughts and plans can be seen from a perspective of simplicity and clarity.
At 1:50 PM EDT, we get a boost of enthusiasm as the Moon leaves serious hard-working Capricorn behind to enter unpredictable, progressive Aquarius. Allow the world to surprise you. Move outside of your everyday mindset. Make it a point to encounter people who will stretch your view of the world. Seek out enlightened forward-looking thinkers to shake up your mind.
Happy Birthday to Henry Fonda, Woody Herman, Janet Jackson, Liberace, and NYC!
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:23 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 1:50 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

GATHER IN COMMUNITY
Wednesday, May 17, 2017:

The Spring Witch by George Wilson via Wiki Commons

Wednesday brings a simple day with very little astrological activity. The Moon continues through rebellious Aquarius forming easy-going social aspects to beautiful Venus and philosophical Jupiter.
While the Moon is in Aquarius, you are likely to be attracted to people, situations, and circumstances that are unusual and awe-inspiring. You may want to explore what it means to be a true individual without being held back by convention or society. Personal freedom, humanitarian interests, and progressive change take on powerful importance. You may want to break out of whatever box you feel contained in and explore new ideas, beliefs, and cultural viewpoints.
This is an excellent time to consider how your life fits into the wider world of humanity. What is the role that you play in your culture? What can you do in the world to create positive change? How can you join with others to make a difference? The Aquarius Moon spurs us to common human connections with less emphasis on emotional attachment. Find interesting gatherings of people who will expand your thinking.
Happy Birthday to Laurie Cartwright, Diane Doll, and Eric Satie!

THE BIG PICTURE
Thursday, May 18, 2017:
With all the dysfunction and craziness on display in the news and politics, it is important that we take advantage of joyful, flowing days like today! The Moon continues through unconventional Aquarius keeping our minds open to a bigger picture of life.
You may feel on a roll as all aspects the Moon makes during the day are aspects of positive flow and opportunities. People you encounter are apt to be more approachable than normal and generally in an upbeat frame of mind.
As the Aquarius Moon reaches the midpoint between Saturn and Uranus (forming a sextile aspect to each), we simultaneously enjoy a sense of excitement and stability, individuality, and determination.
At 8:33 PM EDT, we encounter the Last Quarter Moon in Aquarius, you may struggle to understand the cost of your actions and priorities. Keep moving forward as the exact trine aspect between Saturn and Uranus (Friday) will powerfully support forward motion.
As the day ends, the Moon slips quietly into compassionate, fanciful Pisces bringing a gentle sense of the surreal to the next few days.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:33 PM EDT until she enters Pisces at 11:52 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
Happy Birthday to Frank Capra, Bertrand Russell, and Robin Shelton!

READY FOR AN UPGRADE
Friday, May 19, 2017:
A powerful flowing trine aspect has been building between Saturn and Uranus all week reaching its pinnacle on Friday. This is one of the major astrological influences of 2017 and represents a powerful shift in life as we know it. This aspect formed its first exact ‘hit’ at the end of December of 2016 and will make a final exact ‘hit’ in November of 2017.
Look to your chart for 26° Sagittarius and 26° Aries for more information on where this occurs in your individual life.
This combination of planetary energies can support you in making powerful and even radical change in your life. Uranus brings innovation and inspiration to whatever you are creating, while Saturn offers determination and maturity. Together, you can make unimaginable forward motion or it may simply happen seemingly without effort! Something very significant is ready for an upgrade that will bring greater integrity and inspiration into your life!
On an interesting personal note… I am just now making this connection. Recently, I went to sleep one day and literally, woke up a vegan. Yes, that would be this aspect at work! Let me know how it manifests in your life!
Another significant transit occurs at 10:11 AM EDT with lovely Venus opposing enthusiastic Jupiter. This is a lovely and dynamic combination; be alert to love and other resources being offered. Be careful not to fall into a trap of overspending or over giving. Please try to enjoy this combination. Kindness and generosity can be offered and received.
With the Moon continuing through Pisces, allow yourself to drift in compassionate love and deep pleasure.
Happy Birthday to Leda Wolfe Hoppe!

SUN ENTERS GEMINI:  TALK ABOUT IT!
Saturday, May 20, 2017:
The Moon continues through Pisces on Saturday encouraging us to remain connected to our dreams and our imagination. While the Sun is still in Taurus (until 4:30 PM EDT), you may want to take a nap, meditate, or rest to prepare for the increased energy ahead.
At 4:30 PM EDT, the all-powerful Sun leaves the deliberate, consistent growth of Taurus behind to enter a period of enthusiastic movement. As the Sun changes signs month-to-month, we feel the atmosphere profoundly shifting. Over the past month, there has been the sense of steady, slow, determined movement.
Now, as the Sun comes into Gemini, everything shifts into quick, less stable expansion. While the Sun is in Gemini, you will want to join together with others, share and gather information, and come to understand the perspectives of those around you. You are curious, restless, and inquisitive. You will want to communicate more, explore new ideas, and consider more options.
Watch yourself for the tendency to talk more than you listen. Listening is a skill that we must pay attention to. Your own voice will only reflect what you already know. Learning requires paying attention to others through questions and listening. Show respect to those you encounter with your curiosity, your questions, and your focused ability to listen. You may be surprised at what you learn!
Talk. Communicate. Listen. Learn. Ask questions.
The Pisces Moon becomes VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) at 11:39 PM EDT. Unless you get up awfully early Saturday (the Moon enters Aries at 6:11 AM EDT on Sunday), this will not have an impact. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
Happy Birthday to Candi Foss and Cher!

A MORNING ADVENTURE
Sunday, May 21, 2017:
Bright and early, the Moon enters dynamic, impatient Aries forming an energizing sextile aspect to the Sun which is newly in Gemini. The energy of this combination should not be wasted. Plan ahead to get up early and move quickly into a day of action and adventure.
Get yourself out into nature to watch how quickly the world is changing with new growth and expanding vegetation. A hike or a canoe trip down the river would be perfect for an early morning enterprise.
Later in the day, things quiet down and it will be good to have the afternoon to relax and spend time on your own. At this point in the cycle, the Moon is waning (New Moon on May 25th). Consider holding off on any rash plans, decisions or projects until the Moon begins increasing once again.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Aries at 6:11 AM EDT.  Unless you are up very early this will have no impact on your day. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
Happy Birthday to Belladonna, Ellen Brown, and Michael Gilman!

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
