Ophelia by John William Waterhouse
As we settle into life on the other side of the Grand Cardinal Cross (with Uranus Square Pluto still reflecting our reality for another year) we have an interesting week ahead.

The Scorpio Full Moon falls on Wednesday, asking that we look back to the Taurus New Moon, which occurred on Wednesday, April 30th. The results of what you started at that time should be clear this week.

Over the course of the week the Moon moves from Libra, through Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. Follow along as the emotional environment of the collective begins in a space of diplomacy, moves through dark intensity, through lively expansion, and into serious integrity by the end of the week. The collective emotional environment we share shifts from day to day; along with the Moon changing Sign every few day and making all aspects to every planet in the course of each Lunar Cycle.

This looks to be a powerful week as our values and beliefs deepen to match the changes that we have so recently embraced. Whatever these weeks have transformed in your individual life; this week you will begin to assimilate your new awareness into your own personal value system.

You may receive information this week that you had not anticipated. Whatever you learn or discover may be responsible for deep and serious change within your love relationship(s) or your financial situation.

Expect the unexpected from those you love, expect love or money to come from unusual sources. Do not be quick to make judgments. There is something beneath the surface you may very well not be aware of.

Here in the northern hemisphere it is spring! Love, passion, and attraction are close to the surface and may come upon you from directions you would never think to look.

Monday, May 12, 2014:

Since the beginning of the year Mars has been retrograde. We have talked about the importance, with Mars retrograde, of looking at our own issues regarding assertiveness, aggression, and sexuality. Monday, with Mercury (Gemini) Trine Mars (Libra) it is a great opportunity to discuss these issues with the people who are engaged in this process with you. Alternatively, you may simply want to sit alone and write about your own inner process regarding anger, aggression, or sexuality. If there are areas that you can identify within yourself that are out of integrity this is the time to bring it to the table. Finally be vulnerable enough to be honest and fully revealed, with others or with yourself.
The moon is VOC* in Libra until she enters Scorpio at 9:07 PM EDT.

Tuesday, May 13, 2014:

Tuesday should be all about preparing for Wednesday’s Full Moon in Scorpio! We do not feel such a strong need to protect ourselves. Tuesday evening as the Moon Sextile Pluto we feel empowered to express our vulnerability, and allow it to open within us.

As the Scorpio Moon Trine Neptune early in the morning the boundaries between ourselves and others seem fluid. Our emotions feel significant and worthy of expression. Anticipate an emotional day; make an effort to keep the windows of your heart wide open with love and kindness.

Wednesday, May 14, 2014:
On Wednesday the Moon is Full in Scorpio. With the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio we encounter issues of attachment and desire. These issues play out most significantly in areas involving sex, money, and power. Two weeks ago at the New Moon in Taurus we began to build something of significance. Now we come to see the results of what we began at that time. How are you seeing your own issues of attachment, desire, and empowerment?

November 15, 2013 Venus made direct contact with Pluto. Consider what began at that time regarding relationship, money, and/or power. Consider your own attitudes toward the power of money, the power of love, and the love of power. What began in November? Did a powerful relationship begin? Did issues of power within a relationship begin to surface? Did issues of finances become compulsive or out-of-control?

Consider what began at that time and the action necessary to bring it to a clean, empowered state of integrity. If there is something hidden now is the time to reveal it.

Following the full moon at 3:16 PM EDT the Moon is VOC* until early Thursday morning.

Thursday, May 15, 2014:

The Moon enters Sagittarius, the Sign of expansion and exploration at 1:44 AM EDT. Thursday is a day of unexpected, innovative, and explosive thoughts and ideas. Expect anything to come into your mind and into your world at this time. Thursday evening has so much potential. Do not waste this time.
Mercury forms a Sextile Aspect to both Venus and Uranus, just as Venus Conjunct Uranus. Sextiles offer us opportunity and excitement, this is what we can expect to encounter. First let us consider the Conjunction between Venus and Uranus. Remember that Conjunctions represent me beginning of a new cycle. There is the possibility of big changes and great excitement in this new Cycle involving relationship and those things that we value.
Consider all that the past month has brought into your life. Where in your life are you reaching for individuality, freedom, and excitement? It is time for your personal values, your intimate relationships, and your relationship to resources/money to more fully reflect your own individual and unusual beliefs. As Mercury Sextile this new Conjunction between Venus and Uranus, consider your conversations with partners, loved ones, and possibly your banker. We are offered the opportunity to build a relationship based on individual freedom. Remember that relationships can look many different ways. The relationships you build with your partners/friends are as individual as each of you. Do not make the mistake of believing you have to fit into a particular box. At this point in time any boxes you find yourself in feel terribly restrictive and far too narrow for the full expansion of your newly developing understanding of yourself and the world.

Friday, May 16, 2014:

Following an Opposition to Mercury at 3:42AM EDT the Sagittarius Moon is VOC* all day! Time out of time; rejuvenation with big ideas
Friday brings us a day of great potential for expansion of thinking, opening our lives, our minds, and our hearts to new ideas, new people, and new possibilities! Unless you love your job, this would be a great day to simply take the day off. Go on a road trip with a friend! Spend the day in a museum or tromping through the woods. Your mind does not want to be held in a vice today, which is what an unloved job may feel like! If you do have to work today at a job you do not love, make a solid commitment to looking at each person you interact with from a new perspective. How much do you really know about some of these people? Take a renewed interest, ask unexpected questions; you may be surprised what you learn about people you thought you knew. Reveal something about yourself in return.

Saturday, May 17, 2014:

On Saturday morning we awake to the Moon having entered serious, hard working Capricorn (4:12AM EDT). Here in the Northern Hemisphere this is a perfect Saturday for Spring Cleaning. After the long winter there is much to do to prepare for the coming months of summer. Home and yard projects will get done quickly, and relatively easily today. Get started early, get everyone involved and you will be tired and deeply satisfied by the end of the day.

Sunday, May 18, 2014:

As the Moon travels through Capricorn on Sunday we may expect to have another day of accomplishment; however, Sunday holds a different plan. At 11:30AM EDT Venus Square Jupiter. We may very well feel so great about all that we accomplished yesterday that today we feel that we deserve to relax, have fun, live the good life! We want to go out to brunch, do a little shopping, and indulge ourselves in whatever situations, or circumstances make us feel great! Even as we are prone to overindulgence we may also have a small sense of guilt at not doing more work today. Let go of the guilt and enjoy yourself! If you need to watch your spending, leave your wallet at home!

* In these weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
