Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 30, 2015 through April 5, 2015
The beginning of the week brings much lovely and powerful energy our way as mid-week we move into a new month.
The upcoming shift of Mercury and Mars creates a push/pull dynamic to our lives. Our thinking heats up and moves more quickly and, yet, our actions slow down and become more determined and focused.
On Monday, Mercury, the planet of communication, leaves the imaginative but foggy space of Pisces behind to enter Aries. This fiery energy makes our thinking hot and fast. We may be surprised at the direct, assertive edge our thinking and conversations take on. Venus trine Pluto brings our attention to understanding our responsibility towards the health of our relationships and finances. This has been a learning curve since December 2014.

On Tuesday, Mars leaves his home sign of Aries behind to enter the more stable arena of Taurus and our actions slow down, becoming more determined and focused.
The Moon is VOC* all day on Thursday, encouraging us to rest. Mercury trine Saturn brings our thoughts to serious issues , significant understandings, and/or important communications. The Sun trine Jupiter offers us an open window on generosity and pleasure. Thursday looks like a wonderful day.
Saturday brings us the Full Moon in Libra, which the Moon opposition to the Sun, offering clarity on something that has been brought to your attention over the past two weeks.
At the end of the weekend, the Sun squares Pluto reminding us that we still have a great deal of work to do in order to assimilate the profound changes that have occurred in our lives and in the world since the summer of 2012. Sunday brings us face-to-face with empowerment or overwhelm. Remember to breathe.
Since the final square between Uranus and Pluto earlier this month, we all want to put the past 2 1/2 years behind us and have a fresh start. It is natural to desire an end to the intensity but we must not underestimate the importance of the assimilation process that we are now beginning. There is power in the transformation and we are now beginning the process of securing an inner peace with where we find ourselves.
If you are ready to understand this process in your own life; contact me for a consultation. We can explore what the changes mean in the wider context of your life and help you determine your path forward.

Monday, March 30, 2015:
Monday starts with the Moon in Leo making a beautiful connection with the planet of expansion and generosity, Jupiter. This is a wonderful way to begin the week!
While we are still sleeping on Sunday night, Venus makes a lovely, free-flowing trine to Pluto. This is the extension of a cycle that began in late December 2014. That was the beginning of a cycle of empowering our values. This cycle may represent a love relationship or, more literally, it may refer to the development of financial security, or something else deeply valuable to you personally.
Think about late December, what were you consciously beginning to build upon? Was it a romantic or loving relationship, or was it more tangible such as money or “stuff” of value? Whatever began for you in December is now in a place of free flowing growth. It is clear where you are headed. It may feel as though nothing can slow you down. Your values are empowered and your empowerment comes through as beauty, value, and love.
Following a trine to Uranus at 9:57 AM EDT, the Moon is VOC* until she enters Virgo on Tuesday at 2:12 PM EDT.
Mercury, the planet that relates to our thinking and communications, enters Aries at 9:43 PM EDT. Over the coming days, you may notice that is easy to speak your mind, or that it is more difficult to be subtle in your communications. As you look around at your community and the world, you may see that things are being said more aggressively than they have been over the past weeks.
Those with a very sensitive nature may feel somewhat overwhelmed by the aggression surrounding conversations and communications in the outer world.
We would all do well to remember that many folks are sensitive to the kind of harsh or abrasive communications that Aries is fond of delivering. Try to be aware of others’ sensitivity and what they may need to feel safe.
All in all, this begins a powerful week of moving forward.

Tuesday, March 31, 2015:
Tuesday begins with the Moon still VOC*. If at all possible, get a slow start on the day and keep an attitude of restfulness until the Moon enters Virgo at 2:12 PM EDT.
At 12:26 PM EDT, Mars leaves behind his own aggressive sign of Aries to enter the steadfast stubborn arena of Taurus. Mars is the planet of action; we may have noticed a lot of things moving very quickly and aggressively since Mars entered Aries on February 19th.

With the new Taurean energy, our push forward becomes more deliberate and steadfast. We have a renewed ability to take our time and show more patience. Following the Moon’s entrance into Virgo, we have an opportunity to accomplish a great deal. We are firmly grounded, steady, and pushing forward.
What can you accomplish on Tuesday afternoon? Look for a project that requires patience, precision, and perfectionism. Maybe you need to complete your taxes? Spring clean your house? Do not be in a hurry. Do maintain your focus. Put your attention in one place, on one thing, and push steadily in that direction.
If you begin this project at or around 2:15 PM EDT, you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish in the hours before you wrap up that project. Don’t be in a hurry to stop this work; go ahead and work into the night. You will be glad you did.

Wednesday, April 1, 2015:
Wednesday is very much an extension of Tuesday; once again offering the ability to work hard and get a lot accomplished. Wednesday is a day to move steadily in the direction you want to. What is the new dream you are working on? Plan, make calls, do the nitty, gritty work to move this project forward.
Don’t be in too much of a hurry to begin as the early morning hours may feel a bit dreamy or unfocused due to an opposition between the Moon and Neptune at 7:31 AM EDT. Neptune makes everything a bit dreamy but do not worry, the lack of focus will not last very long and you will be ready to move forward by mid-morning.
Once again, you may find yourself working late as the evening hours have great potential for productivity. Consider the purpose of the project that you are working on, the project that you are using this planetary energy to move forward. Make sure you are spending this energy in the most worthwhile manner.
If you are working toward something that is only of benefit to you, this would not be a good place to be putting your energies. This is a day to offer your services for the benefit of others. Within the context of your hard work today, consider how this moves others forward.
Kindness is often a misunderstood part of the Virgo archetype. Wednesday evening when the Virgo Moon trine Pluto, service and kindness to others will bring value to all of us.

Thursday, April 2, 2015:
Thursday, we have another full day with the moon VOC* in Virgo following a trine to Venus. Our desire for refinement and our attention on potential (our own and others) is highlighted.
At 8:20 AM EDT, Mercury trine Saturn bring our attention back to last November.
How have you been trying to stabilize your thinking and the way that your mind works? Did you start a new discipline of mind late last fall; meditation or a significant study? Was there something serious that consumed your mind at that time? Now, consider bringing your understanding of this matter to others. You have learned enough to teach.
The cycle between the Sun and Jupiter began in July of 2014; where was your life expanded in a powerful new way at that time?
Both of these cycles (Mercury &Saturn, Sun &Jupiter) bring us to the thought of sharing the wisdom that we have learned since the beginning of the cycles. You have learned much since last summer and you are being asked to share with open generosity. I hope you can pinpoint what this is in your life.
Remember, we teach best what we most need to learn. It is often difficult for us to understand how much we have to offer others. At this time, having gone through all that we have gone through over the past year, we have far more to teach and to share. Look inside; what have you learned that should be shared with others? Answer this question this week. Often, the value of your knowledge is hidden as it seems elementary or simple to you but it may be very helpful to someone else.

Friday, April 3, 2015:
By the time we are up on Friday morning, the Moon has entered Libra encouraging us to use diplomacy in all our interactions. This is a great time to spend with your closest loved ones as we are seeking pleasure and the sharing of beauty. Consider using this diplomatic energy to settle differences with people you may not be close to.
This is a very social Friday evening due to the Libran Moon. Don’t spend it home alone. If you have a partner, it may be a nice evening to spend at home, but do consider getting out amongst others. Seek beauty, seek pleasure, and enjoy friends. However, don’t stay up late on Friday night because Saturday morning is just too good to sleep through.

Saturday, April 4, 2015:
Saturday brings us an early-morning Full Moon in Libra. The Full Moon always encourages us to express ourselves fully, to open our eyes and look clearly at our situation from the perspective of our hearts and our minds.
With the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra, we must consider the ways in which our desire for partnership and love balances itself with our desire and need for autonomy and self-determination.
I am not going to discuss the eclipse but would encourage you to share your thoughts about the eclipse here or on my Facebook page. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the matter. You may also want to visit Dark Star Astrology for more information on the eclipse.
The Moon is in Libra all day going VOC* just before midnight.
Consider the Full Libra Moon as a great night for a promising date, clarifying a relationship, or for a gathering of friends. Enjoy.

Sunday, April 5, 2015:
Sunday leads us into the most interesting and perhaps, most challenging day of this week. At 11:07 AM EDT, the Sun squares Pluto.
On Monday, April 5th, the Sun will conjunct Uranus. Take this time to re-examine the changes that you have undergone in your life over the past several years. Contemplate how you are assimilating what you have learned and how you are planning your path forward. Remember that all of these planetary energies are encouraging us to dream new dreams and move forward with love.
The day begins with the Moon still VOC* following an opposition to Uranus just before midnight on Saturday. I can imagine a lot of free-floating anxiety as we look at the bigger picture of how much things have changed and yet our feet are not yet firmly planted on our future path. That is ok! We will be shown our path in time.
This reminds me of a quote: “The bad news is you’re falling through the air, nothing to hang on to, no parachute. The good news is there’s no ground.” ~ Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
Just as there was no avoiding the major changes, there is also no avoiding the assimilation of the changes. Embrace the future.

This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question. Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it! If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing; that is the Moon VOC*!
Monday, March 30, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Leo) following a trine to Uranus at 9:57 AM EDT until she enters Virgo on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 2:12 PM EDT.
Thursday, April 2, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Virgo) following a trine to Venus at 5:01 AM EDT until she enters Libra on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 3:07 AM EDT.
Saturday, April 4, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Libra) following and opposition to Uranus until she enters Scorpio on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 3:03 PM EDT.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by the transits between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
I consider the following aspects: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions. I work with the following planets: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
