SPRING EQUINOX – SUN ENTERS ARIES
Monday, March 20, 2017:
The week begins with the Sun entering Aries at 6:28 AM EDT. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, this is the Spring Equinox! It is bringing with it longer days, a vision for the future, new ideas, and new plans.
The Spring Equinox alerts us to a time of new beginning with plenty of reason to celebrate! This is a moment of balance and equanimity as the earth’s axis is pointing neither away from nor toward the Sun.
The shift may not initially feel as energizing as you may expect. With the expansive Sagittarius Moon joining with overly serious Saturn at 6:38 AM EDT, followed by her movement into Capricorn at 11:31 AM EDT, there is seriousness and a conservative edge to the day.
At 11:59 AM EDT, the Capricorn Moon forms a challenging aspect to the Sun, newly in Aries. Consider that Capricorn is the sign of maturity, authority, and caution while Aries is the sign of youthfulness, impatience, and excitability. When these two signs challenge each other, something has to give.
This is the Third Quarter Square phase of the Moon; it is a time of release. What has been building since the New Moon on March 27? Take it easy today. Let go and prepare for warmer days. Spring will soon begin in earnest.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:38 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 11:31 AM EDT.
Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

INSPIRATION SERVES PRACTICALITY
Tuesday, March 21, 2017:
Tuesday, as the emotional Moon continues through responsible Capricorn, you are reminded that even with Spring in the air you have plenty of work to do.
At 12:17 PM EDT, even your serious nature welcomes your imagination and ability to dream. With a positive sextile aspect between the Moon and Neptune, your dreams can produce real world and practical results.
At 6:20 PM EDT, when the Moon forms a challenging square to Mercury. You are serious about the ideas that have grasped your attention.
All in all, this is a simple day of hard work with a lovely bit of inspiration. Utilize that inspiration; it will serve practical reality.

PRACTICE FLEXIBILITY
Wednesday, March 22, 2017:
Wednesday may start out a bit messy. The Aries Sun is ready to shine a little brighter without the restrictions of the Capricorn Moon. However, as the day begins, the serious Capricorn Moon forms a challenging square aspect to unsettling Uranus.
The Capricorn Moon seeks structure and demands responsibility, and yet, Uranus throws a monkey wrench into that idea as he seeks innovation and even revolution. This combination can create aggravation and upheaval throughout the morning. Work on your ability to be flexible; it may not come easily but will be well worth the effort.
The rest of the day with the Moon VOC* may just feel a little off kilter. Don’t attach yourself too much to accomplishments or forced engagements. At 10:29 PM EDT, the Moon will enter progressive Aquarius bringing a much greater sense of freedom and lightness to Thursday morning.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:20 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 10:29 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

DEEPEN YOUR THINKING
Thursday, March 23, 2017:
Thursday begins with a lovely sextile between the quirky Aquarius Moon and beautiful Venus. Enjoy the morning.
Some agitation may occur when the Moon squares aggressive Mars at 5:20 PM EDT. Use your body to release this tension, go for a walk, chop some wood, or engage your body with physical effort.
As the evening approaches, you will feel expressive Mercury beginning to form a challenging square aspect to powerful Pluto, which will be exact at 8:44 PM EDT. Be aware of verbal power dynamics. Continue to make a concerted effort toward internal and external flexibility. Watch your responses to communications that come your way. Take three slow breaths before responding.
Don’t take what is said personally and watch the words that come out of your mouth as well. It is easy to say things that will be taken in a way that you many not intend. Be aware of your words, emails, and all communications.
This would be an excellent evening for deep study or to work on a powerful speech or other significant writing project.

WHAT WILL BE REVEALED?
Friday, March 24, 2017:
If you were engaged in a significant conversation, an important study, or a writing project on Thursday, Friday will be the day to expand upon and illuminate those conversations and ideas. At 8:45AM EDT, Mercury opposes Jupiter expanding your creative intelligence, your faith and belief in your ideas.
With the Moon in objective, progressive Aquarius forming delightful aspects to expansive Jupiter, thoughtful Mercury, and quirky Uranus, you can expect this to be a highly innovative day for humanitarian efforts, expansive ideas, and bringing your voice to a public arena. This is the full illumination of a cycle that began on October 11, 2016! Watch what is happening in the current political administration.
Pay attention for big revelations in your own life and on the world and national stage.

ARTISTS AND LOVERS
Saturday March 25, 2017:
Saturday offers a day to engage in actively seeking love and passively accepting love. Both sides are offered. At 6:07 AM EDT, the Moon enters compassionate, dreamy Pisces enabling us to swim within deeply emotional waters. At 6:17 AM EDT, the Sun and Venus come together in the highly assertive and active sign of Aries. Emotionally, you may get lost in sensitivity and imagination while simultaneously you know you must take action to directly go after what you truly desire. Make direct contact with love or expressions of beauty.
Once you have made direct contact with the object of your desire, allow yourself to passively engage in deep compassion or dreamy mystical states.
Bring your attention to love and beauty. This is a day made for artists and lovers.

EXCITEMENT
Sunday, March 26, 2017:
Sunday continues with some of the dreamy sensitivity from Saturday courtesy of the surreal Pisces Moon.
But, you probably won’t be thinking too much about all of that as there is intense excitement in the air that will require all of your attention! At 11:05 AM EDT, Mercury conjoins with Uranus beginning a one year cycle of mental stimulation. Pay attention to unusual, new, or exciting ideas that come to mind. Perhaps you will hear or read something that surprises, excites, or even shocks you. Unexpected information may be revealed that will begin a new process in your life.
If you experience any sort of sluggishness or depression on Sunday, stop and consider what is it that needs to be said that you are avoiding. Something wants to be revealed. Go ahead, say it! Yes, it may very well set you on a new path, but it is a path that must be taken.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
