Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 16, 2015 through March 22, 2015
This week we encounter and move beyond the powerful transit that has rocked our world over the past several years.
It seems as though we have been waiting for this week for a very long time, or at least since we became aware of the square aspect forming between Uranus and Pluto. For those of you who are students of astrology; when did you first become aware of this cycle between Uranus and Pluto?
I’m not sure when it first showed up on my radar but I remember clearly looking ahead with great trepidation as I realized where and how it was impacting my own personal horoscope.
Yes, my 14° Aries Moon (in my seventh house) has been greatly challenged and certainly transformed over this past year! The dust has not yet settled and I’m still not exactly sure where I will land.
My path gains clarity each day and I’m delighted for the new lifeblood that this transit has pushed through my life. My most intimate relationships, my relationships with my clients, and my entire way of life has transformed during this time. In the summer of 2012, there’s no way I could have imagined where my life stands today.
It has not been easy, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Depending on your own horoscope, we each respond differently to the transits of particular planets. I have always loved Uranus transits as they make me feel like a giddy teenager seeking freedom and excitement! Pluto transits are certainly more of a challenge as I find myself dealing with issues of power struggles and the necessity of shifting deeply held beliefs.

When confronted with intensely powerful transits, it is important to understand that we are being given an opportunity to open ourselves to our most authentic life.
Do not fight against the changing tide; ride it like a wave! Having said this a million times to clients, it was good to encounter a clear example of it in my own life.
The transit between Uranus and Pluto is now technically complete. This does not mean that the hard work is over. There is much to assimilate, much to understand, and many layers of work still before us, if we are to accomplish the ultimate opportunity this transit has given us.
For each of you for being directly impacted, remember: ride the wave, always exhibit kindness and compassion for others. Use your own challenges to understand the challenges of others. We are all human; our personal experiences are not unlike the experiences that others face; each of us lives in the same planetary weather patterns.
Share stories and compassion with others; you will be amazed at the understanding we gain through our shared common experience.
Monday, March 16, 2015:
It feels appropriate to have the final square between Uranus and Pluto (10:53 PM EDT) occur at this time of year. Here in New England, we are just feeling the stirring of Spring. It has been a very long and very cold winter. We are anxious for the sun and the warmth.
The intense long drawn-out powerful changes in our personal lives and culture are wearing on us. With this final First Quarter aspect between these powerful planets, we are ready to move forward; to see what is still standing when the dust settles. We are ready to face what is required of us as we assimilate the changes and become accustomed to where we now find ourselves.
Monday is the final of seven exact hits of the First Quarter square of Uranus and Pluto. This transit began in the summer of 2012. The powerful upheaval that we have encountered since that time now steps into a phase of assimilation.
Mercury squares Saturn on Monday, suggesting the importance of a facing a difficult decision or conversation.
Did you begin an important communication or a serious study in November 2014? Now, you must be bring that communication or study back to the table for further consideration. Push forward to embrace a way of thinking, or viewing the world, that is not easy for you.
At 6:14 AM EDT, the Moon enters Aquarius. We are not satisfied with the status quo. Gather with friends this evening to discuss human rights issues, new innovations, and the use of technology to solve our humanitarian issues. It is time to open your eyes to bigger issues outside your own personal life.
Tuesday, March 17, 2015:
Tuesday is a highly energized day made for highly individualistic and unusual thinking. Encourage people you encounter to think outside ‘the box’ and watch what can occur! Let yourself be surprised and go ahead and surprise others!
At 6:14 AM EDT, Venus leaves the aggressive sign of Aries behind to enter her home sign of Taurus. Venus represents our need for beauty and our ability to form partnerships. She is delighted to spend time in Taurus where she finds stability, sensuality, and reverence for life.
Venus teaches us of beauty, sensuality, and diplomacy. While she moves through Taurus, her method of teaching is deliberate, patient, steadfast, and reliable. Venus will remain in Taurus until April 11th. During this time, enjoy the beauty and value of the natural world, sensuality, and comfort.
The Moon is in Aquarius all day making pleasant aspects to Uranus and Mars before going VOC at 2:18 PM EDT, following a sextile to Mars. She remains VOC* until she enters Pisces on Wednesday at 6:58 AM EDT. Take advantage of the high-level of energy that is available on Tuesday.
Wednesday, March 18, 2015:
Early Wednesday morning while we sleep, Mercury conjunct Neptune at 8° Pisces. Be prepared to wake up early and write down your dreams; they could be quite significant or at the very least, interesting! If you don’t have anywhere to go, get yourself back to sleep once you write down those dreams.

By the time we wake up on Wednesday morning, the Moon will also be in Pisces, adding an even more mystical, watery quality to the day.
Think about the cycle between Mercury and Neptune as the ‘Cycle of our Dreams’. This is a one year cycle; consider the dream that began last March and is ending now. We have an opportunity to consciously choose the dream we wish to pursue for the coming year.
On Wednesday, you will want to determine the dream you wish to pursue. In early May, at the First Quarter square between Mercury and Neptune, it will be important for you to take a particular action to move that dream forward. In mid August, at the opposition between Mercury and Neptune, you should see the full results of this dream. In late November, at the Third Quarter square between them, it will be time to begin shifting gears and releasing part of that dream in order to move into a new cycle in March 2016.
Wednesday is certainly a day of great sensitivity, imagination, and compassion for self and others. Utilize it well; be kind, considerate, and compassionate.
Thursday, March 19, 2015:
Thursday follows very much in the same footsteps as Wednesday. The Moon is relatively quiet as she moves through Pisces. Don’t expect great clarity on any issues; allow soft sensitivity to rule the day.
With astrology being a symbolic language, every symbol; every planet, sign, and house have various layers of meaning. With a day of so much Pisces energy, we would do well to consider the layers of meaning involved in the symbols of Pisces and Neptune.
On the lowest energetic level, we can consider Pisces and Neptune to represent drugs, alcohol, and other addictions. Moving to a mid-level Pisces/Neptune energy, consider poetry and music. Poetry and music can be of great benefit in moving us to the higher levels of Pisces/ Neptune energy which consist of deep compassion, meditation, spirituality, and mysticism.
Be deeply conscious of where you choose to play out this energy this week.
Given that we are beginning the new dream/ new cycle between Mercury and Neptune, please consider where you want put your energy. Do you want to open that second bottle of wine or would your dream benefit more from listening to Chopin, or an extra hour of meditation?
Friday, March 20, 2015:
Friday brings us to The Vernal Equinox! This marks the moment (in the Northern Hemisphere) when the earth starts to tilt toward the sun, which means longer, sunnier days. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is just the opposite, as they move toward shorter days. This shift occurs at the moment when the Sun enters Aries at 6:44 PM EDT.
We also begin a new lunar cycle with Friday’s New Moon, which falls on the final degree of Pisces; adding to the overall theme of the week; “Beginning a Dream.” The lunar cycle is a one-month cycle; consider starting something that can be completed within that timeframe. What dream do you want to realize over the coming month?
The lunar cycles are well worth paying attention to. Whatever you begin at this time, be sure to make a conscious effort to move it forward on this March 26th. You should see the full results by April 4th, and on April 11th, you will begin to let go and release to prepare for the new cycle that begins on April 18th.
Overall, we can anticipate and plan for a day of powerful new beginnings.
The Moon enters Aries at 6:28 AM EDT, 16 minutes later the Sun enters Aries at 6:44 PM EDT. This will dramatically shift our energy out of the realm of dreamy Pisces and full force into the energy of determination, assertiveness, and courage that is Aries! Even here in the deep chill of New England, we know spring is on the way! Allow the excitement to build!

Saturday, March 21, 2015:
Saturday brings us to the first full weekend of Spring! What determined action can you begin now that will push you forward in preparing for these warmer months? Do you have a major project at hand that needs strong assertive energy to be begun or completed? This is the weekend to get it accomplished! You could get a major housecleaning project accomplished, rake the yard, clean out the garage or basement, get the motorcycle out of storage; prepare it for the road or prepare it to sell! Expend energy on preparation!
With both the Sun and the Moon newly in Aries, it is very important to utilize direct physical energy. If we find ourselves unable to do so for some reason, we could easily get in stuck in anger or nasty encounters with others. So, get out for a run, get a job done, use your energy in a strong, physical manner!
At 6:51 PM EDT following a conjunction to Mars, the Aries Moon will be VOC* until she enters Taurus on Sunday morning!
Don’t try to have a quiet evening at home with friends or loved ones! This would be a great night for dancing or bowling! No quiet activities for Saturday evening.
Sunday March 22, 2015:
On Sunday, the Moon enters Taurus at 6:39 AM EDT. This will calm our energy and bring us a more relaxing Sunday. At 4:26 PM EDT, Mercury sextile Pluto. This cycle between Mercury and Pluto began on December 25, 2014. Think about what powerful or transformative thoughts were on your mind at that time. What was the intense thought process that you were going through?
Now we are given an opportunity to consider how that thinking has brought you forward. What are the possibilities you see stemming from that time?
Consider where you are headed with what began in late December. You will be required to take serious action on this issue on April 7th. Your thoughtful consideration now will determine the action that you take in April.
Plan something fun for Sunday. If you got a lot done on Saturday, then Sunday can be a time to engage in significant conversations with the most important people in your life and enjoy the day.
Have a wonderful week;keep in touch with my posts on Facebook. Please send me a note, let me know how you’re doing. Let’s set up an appointment to talk about your chart and your personal path.
This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything go ahead with it! If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing; that is the Moon VOC*!
Monday, March 16, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Capricorn) following a square to Venus at 4:02 AM EDT, until she enters Aquarius at 6:14 AM EDT.
Tuesday, March 17, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Aquarius) following a sextile to Mars at 2:18 PM EDT, until she enters Pisces at 6:58 AM EDT on Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
Friday, March 20, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Pisces) following the New Moon (Moon conjunct Sun) at 5:36 AM EDT and ending when she enters Aries at 6:28 a.m. EDT.
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions.
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
