Ah, Mercury retrograde. You may not have gotten this post at all or you may have gotten it several times. I apologize. My mailing service decided that Mercury retrograde was a good time to do an overhaul of their system. Too bad they don’t have an astrologer on staff.

Some of you will think that this statement is coming too late and others will think it has no business being said at all in an astrology blog.

Either way, I believe that silence is not an option. I also want to be clear that this is not a political issue but a human rights issue.

It is time to publicly state outrage at the murders and disregard toward the lives and deaths of black people in our country.

It is time to stand with the victims of murder, marginalization, and repression due to skin color. It is time to stand and with those who seek justice through protests across our country.

It is time for white America to collectively acknowledge its privilege, take responsibility for its past, and commit to creating a future of justice for all.

We must each do what we can to use this moment to move our nation toward justice for all.

Read this weeks blog. It is fascinating to watch all that is happening astrologically in light of our global pandemic and civic unrest.

Please keep in mind that transits to your natal planets can override these more universal ones. A personal consultation offers deep understanding.

WHO IS ASKING / WHO IS ANSWERING? – Monday, June 29, 2020

With the Libra Moon in rough aspect to Pluto first thing this morning, you may wake up feeling apprehensive or anxious. Don’t take yourself too seriously and on’t try to get others to agree with you this morning. Does it really matter if they do? Take a deep breath and allow time to soothe the angry beast. It won’t take long, a few hours at most.

The afternoon should be less complicated and a good time for pleasant socail connections.

At 6:48 PM EDT, the Moon enters passionate Scorpio suggesting a strong desire to control your surroundings or your circumstances. You are aware that you may not have the information you need and may spend the evening trying to unearth what it is you need to know. You may be tempted to engage your inner detective.

Shortly after the Moon enters Scorpio she forms a difficult aspect to Saturn. Perhaps someone in your life is asking too many questions or is unwilling to answer yours.

***The Libra Moon is void-of-course from 9:02 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 6:48 PM EDT. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

LOOKING OUTSIDE THE BOX – Tuesday, June 30, 2020

Today is the 2nd of 3 conjunctions between Jupiter and Pluto. The first occurred on April 4 and the final one will occur on November 12. Think about what was happening at that time. Many states declared their ‘stay at home’ orders in those very early days of April. Pluto represents power, destruction, and transformation. Jupiter expands whatever it touches. As these two planets join forces a global pandemic and a ‘stay at home order’ is an apt reflection of the symbols. Now, at this second conjunction, we can see that the job isn’t done. Will we close down again? Should we?

Remember that Mercury is still retrograde. This is the time to revisit thoughts, ideas, and communications that have been with us since the last retrograde in early March.

This evening Mercury and the Sun conjunct in Cancer, the two together make a sextile aspect to Uranus. Unusual things will be said and ideas floated. Look for innovative and exciting ways to think and talk about what we are all experiencing during this difficult time.

This combination of aspects supports brilliant scientists and economists in their search for unusual solutions to our medical, economic, and social needs. We all must think outside the box.

A CLEAR REFLECTION OF OUR TIMES – Wednesday, July 1, 2020

The unusual, outside the box thinking of yesterday, remains with us today. Listen for new and unique ideas to the problems of our world, culture, and personal lives.

Saturn has been in Aquarius since March 21. This offered a peek into how the planet of accountability (Saturn) will reflect issues of humanitarian concern over the next 3 years. Aquarius is the sign of Freedom and Revolution. This is a clear reflection of the current worldwide Black Lives Matter demonstrations.

However, today (due to it’s retrograde) Saturn retruns to Capricorn where it has more work to do over the next 5+ months.

Capricorn is the sign of Authority and Government. This time frame is clearly aligned with the US election season.

In December Saturn will reenter Aquarius where it will remain until Spring 2023.

The Moon is in the intensely deep brooding sign of Scorpio throughout the day. Time spent alone in a deep emotional investigation will be soothing and empowering.

At 9:21 PM EDT, the Moon has had enough with the heavy emotional depth and is ready to expand and adapt to a more impulsive exploration of new ideas. Tomorrow will be an easier day.

***The Scorpio Moon is void-of-course from 11:20 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 9:21 PM EDT. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

UNDERSTANDING – Thursday, July 2, 2020

Set aside negativity and the problems that your attention has been focused on. Today you desire movement, travel, and adventures to expand and find joy in your understanding of the world you live in.

In times gone by I would have advised a road trip or a party. For now, you will have to find a safe alternative to expand your understandign in new ways.

With the Moon in Sagittarius, you look for a shared narrative that will explain your life experience and help you understand others. Study, read, or watch documentaries to learn about people and cultures different from your own. Read a book or watch a documentary to learn about the experience of others. I have recommendations if you ask.

KEEP IT SIMPLE – Friday, July 3, 2020

Today is a simple day with the Sagittarius Moon making no aspects following a square to Neptune at 9:05 AM EDT. This suggests a dreamy day offering very little results regardless of any actions taken.

So, go easy on yourself. There is nothing you need to accomplish.

With the Moon in Sagittarius consider how to cultivate humor, understanding, and wisdom. Sagittarius is notoriously adaptable and optimistic. Enjoy.

Find a safe way to change your surroundings while honoring the necessity of distancing due to the very real and prevalent pandemic. If you are able to, take a drive through neighborhoods you don’t usually visit. If you can’t do that watch a documentary that depicts lives that interest you but you may not know much about.

Honor cultures you do not know or understand. Commit to valuing your shared humanity with others.

***The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course from 9:05 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn in the wee hours of tomorrow morning. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

CONTROL AND AMBITION – Saturday, July 4, 2020

With the Moon now in Capricorn, the carefree energies of the past two days are set aside. You find that you are more goal-oriented and focused on a determined and purposeful plan. Whatever that plan it will be in service to a personal sense of control and ambition.

This is not a weekend for spontaneity as you focus on directing the weekend rather than experiencing it. You are likely to be pragmatic and realistic as you work toward achievable plans and advancements.

Keeping in mind that Mercury is still retrograde, don’t start new projects. Work on what is already in the pipeline.

Are you wondering about July 4th celebrations? Consider how you were raised to love our undeniably beautiful country. Hold that love of country close and acknowledge the work needed to bring this country to a true state of glory. Celebrate the determination to do the work necessary.

***The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course until she enters Capricorn at 12:48 AM EDT. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

CAPRICORN FULL MOON, LUNAR ECLIPSE – Sunday, July 5, 2020

A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Moon is Full and the light of the Sun is blocked by the shadow of the Earth. Generally, we experience the

Full Moon as a time of illumination and fruition. However, when it is eclipsed there is an obscuration of what we had hoped or expected to see. Things are not clear and are often not as they appear to be. Today’s Capricorn Full Moon /Lunar Eclipse is exact at 12:44 AM EDT. In other time zones, it occurred late yesterday.

If you look around yourself today and feel that there has been a major failing culturally or in your personal life, understand that all is not lost. If, on the other hand, you find that you are congratulating yourself on a big win, you may also need to think again. Clarity is obscured.

Consider what you began on the New Moon two weeks ago and what you began at the Capricorn New Moon on December 26, 2019. This Capricorn Full Moon brings us to the illumination of that longer cycle.

The Lunar Eclipse is a time of uncertainty, magic, and mystery. Abrupt and sudden shifts often occur near the time of an Eclipse. If you have personal planets or points at or near 13 degrees of any Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), pay the most careful attention.

* In these weekly reports, I explore the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and give rise to fleeting moods.

The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions. The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
