A few weeks ago I mentioned the experience of doing a ‘reading’ rather than a consultation for a couple. This week I did a ‘reading’ rather than a consultation for an individual.
This is a very different way of working for me; a ‘reading’ rather than a ‘consultation’; a recording rather than a conversation.
I made a recording directly from the charts without real-time feedback from the client. I enjoyed the process very much and the response was quite gratifying.

CANCER NEW MOON, PROTECT AND NURTURE – Monday, July 20, 2020
Today’s Cancer Moon reaches New Moon at 1:33 PM EDT. Stress and effort are involved as the Sun and Moon oppose the challenging planets still slogging through Capricorn.
You long to care and be cared for, to connect with a loving family (biological or chosen), and to be a healing, protecting presence in the lives of your loved ones.
At 4:16 PM EDT, the Moon enters Leo suggesting a shift that will bring more passion and warmth to the next few days.
At 6:27 PM EDT, the Sun opposes Saturn, mirroring some of the more challenging days of last week. You may feel restricted and held back by forces that are beyond your control. Stay focused on what has been growing in your awareness since mid-January 2020. Simple awareness will bring clarity to action.
CANCER NEW MOON RITUAL
This is a very simple ritual but don’t let it’s simplicity obscure it’s power.
First, write down what you would like to develop in the next month and see grow over the next 6 months. The Cancer New Moon suggests an appropriate time to plant a seed of love, shelter, and affection. These qualities are so important as we seek ways to protect each other and our own tender hearts. We must step forward in the support of others.
Plant a seed that resonates with your heart and your current experience. Look to the house that holds Cancer for further understanding.
Have two candles available. Light the first to represent yourself exactly where you find yourself. Light the second candle as inspiration for the growth you desire during this cycle. Take a moment to focus as you light each candle.
Imagine drawing tenderness and protection as you bring the two candles closer together. Do this each day for two weeks.
On August 3, at the Full Moon bring the candles together.
Acknowledge how much more protective and understanding of others you have become. Notice where your heart connections are growing stronger.
The energy you infuse into this cycle will continue to grow over the next six months, up to the Cancer Full Moon on December 29, 2020.

The sense of being held back by forces beyond your control will remain from yesterday’s Sun opposing Saturn. Stay focused on what has been growing in your awareness since mid-January 2020. Simple awareness will bring clarity to action and relieve the sense of helplessness.
With the Moon now in Leo, you can expect a sliver of cheer to growing throughout the afternoon. Set the problems of the world aside and find a creative endeavor to lighten your mood. This is a good evening to turn up the music and have a dance party with whoever you are sharing your home with.

LEO SEASON USHERS IN A TIME OF GENEROSITY – Wednesday, July 22, 2020
The Sun moved into the radiant sign of Leo at 4:36 AM EDT pulling us into Leo Season. It is no coincidence that most folks want to take vacations between late July and mid-August each year.
How are you managing the issue of summer vacation in the midst of a global pandemic? It is hard to focus on work (or on the necessity of caution in this pandemic) when the energy of the Sun is asking us to PLAY.
If you have any tiny lions (house cats) living in your home, give them extra love this season.
Leo loves to shine, to bring warmth and light to banish all shadows. Don’t misunderstand, I am NOT saying that Leo Season is all bright, warmth, and playfulness. There is a downside to each sign. That hot bright sun can overwhelm us and even burn us in the process. The maturity of Leo can draw you in with warmth; the immaturity of Leo can repel with arrogance.
Keep in mind that we all have each sign someplace in our charts. The area (house) of your chart that holds Leo is the area of your life where you can be truest to your own center. It is where you are generous with others and want to play. It is also the area of your chart that is being lit up over the next month.
This is a year, unlike previous years. You may need to forgo a beach vacation but please don’t forgo passion and fun. Get creative.

LEAVE SELF CRITICISM BEHIND – Thursday, July 23, 2020
Even with the Sun now in Leo we need to get things accomplished and work done. To some extent, today’s Virgo Moon will help us do that.
However with the Moon trine Uranus at 1:17 PM EDT you may encounter anxiety or excitement nipping at your heels, getting in the way of what you had intended.
Don’t worry, remember the importance of understanding when ‘good enough’ really is ‘good enough’. In most areas of your daily life, perfection is not necessary and seeking it will slow you down and impede progress.
If today brings with it too much anxiety or excitement to allow for accomplishment, it’s okay. The Moon will support practical endeavors more over the next two days. Self-judgement is not helpful, you will have time to get it done.
KINDNESS, ACCEPTANCE, AND PRODUCTIVITY – Friday, July 24, 2020
The great thing about today is that the Virgo Moon forms highly supportive aspects to the gathering of planets in Capricorn. That means that this is a great day for productivity. Tackle the projects that require efficiency and/or practical analysis. Projects requiring self-discipline and organizational skills will come more easily than usual. Plan ahead and you’ll end the day feeling accomplished and productive.
While the Moon passes through Virgo work on organizational, detail-oriented, or cleaning projects. This is a good day to develop specific systems, processes, and procedures.
Be aware of the tendency to be judgemental of yourself or others. The problem is one of seeing your potential so clearly that it is difficult to accept anything less. Take a serious stand of acceptance. Perfection is not a reality. Good enough is good enough.

Over the next few days keep in mind the importance of compromise and diplomacy. With the Moon in Libra do your best to smooth over any conflicts without giving yourself away in the process. Focus on adjustment rather than concession.
If everyone moves a bit toward the middle we don’t have to engage in a battle. We need to see the situation from the other’s perspective and each give a little.
Libra is an Air sign, an intellectual sign, suggesting that the charm and connection you seek today comes through the mind rather than the heart. It is an objective task, not an emotional one.
It may not be easy to take a stand, be decisive, or speak up for yourself today. Let yourself off the hook. There is always another day to take action or speak up. This evening supports romantic or diplomatic endeavors, socializing, or creating art.

Today the Libra Moon forms challenging aspects to the gathering of Capricorn planets. The news may be disheartening. But then again, do we expect otherwise in 2020?
If you are an artist or a creator of beauty this is a good day to focus on a project that represents your standing in this difficult time. Commit to achieving balance, fairness, and pleasure in your interactions.
If you need to have difficult conversations with others it is good to do this while the Moon is in Libra. We all tend to be more interested in harmonizing relationships than in coming out on top. Everyone wants to be fair and make a good impression.
