The week begins with the Moon in pleasure-seeking Libra. No one wants to rock the boat as we long for a bit of balance in the midst of stressful times. These have not been simple days, as we see reflected in the cosmos with both Venus and Mercury retrograde.
At 7:52 AM EST, Mars, the planet of action, determination, and anger ingresses into Capricorn where it will remain until March 6th. Mars is very happy to be in Capricorn where it is considered exalted. While in Capricorn Mars is deliberate and persistent. Consequences are carefully considered and action is reliably taken. Mars is ambitious, determined, and can accomplish a great deal during this time.
Because Mars’ job is often to trigger things that are already in motion, pay attention. Keep issues of integrity clear in all actions, ambitions, and accomplishments.
At 5:10 PM EST, the Moon forms a challenging square aspect to Pluto suggesting a difficult encounter with power dynamics. If this comes in the form of a challenge from another person, focus on responding with common decency, politeness, and clear boundaries.
At 10:56 PM EST, the Moon enters Scorpio. Pay attention to the deep and powerful dreams that come to visit in the night. Make sure you have paper and pen by the bedside to record these significant dreams.

As the Moon passes through Scorpio intensity is what we encounter. That intensity can show up in many ways. It can bring passion, desire, elation, or suffering. Scorpio suggests that our way of dealing with these issues of intensity tends to be on the secretive or mysterious side. It is time to hold our own counsel in terms of our emotional fortitude. We are willing to go to emotional places that may not be easy but we find the strength and passionately move forward. Going inward while the Moon is in Scorpio allows us to experience our own power, face our demons, and release what holds us hostage.
With a trine aspect formed to Neptune at 11:48 AM EST, profound levels of compassion come more easily than you may expect. This looks like a great day to read or write poetry that seeks to express emotional power, depth, passion, and mystery.

VENUS STATIONS DIRECT TO SLOWLY MOVE FORWARD

At 3:46 AM EST, Venus stations Direct. Ah, this is a relief. Personally, I have found this time with both Mercury and Venus retrograde quite challenging! How has it been for you?
As happy as we are to have this retrograde come to an end, it isn’t magically the end of the story. As she turns forward, it will take some days to get up to speed. A renewed understanding of values, relationships, and finances continues to develop in the coming days.
The past 6 weeks have provided you with opportunities to reevaluate what is most important in love, partnerships, and finance. During this time old stories, partners, and concerns have been revisited.
Venus stationed retrograde on December 19th, stations direct today, and remains in her shadow until March 1st. A truly new story will begin when she enters Aquarius on March 6th.
What you have learned during this time will change your path forward in the coming months. What practical life changes are you ready to make now that you have this new understanding?
At 4:09 AM EST, the Moon leaves fun explorative Sagittarius behind and settles into serious Capricorn for the weekend. Don’t plan parties or gatherings. This is a weekend meant for accomplishments and ambitions.
