“There is no measuring with time, no year matters, and 10 years are nothing. Being an artist means, not reckoning and counting, but ripening like the tree which does not force it sap and stands confident in the storms of Spring without the fear that after them may come no Summer. It does come. But it comes only to the patient, who are there as though eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly still and wide. I learn it daily, learn it with pain to which I am grateful: patience is everything!”
~ Rainer Maria Rilke

CONSTRUCTIVE ACTION
Monday, January 22, 2018:
If you head outside in the wee hours of the morning, you will see Mars and Jupiter at the highest point of the ecliptic, still moving through the deeply intense sign of Scorpio. Jupiter’s expansive nature has been opening doors and windows on dark and hidden issues; secrets have been and continue to be exposed. Mars has brought anger and the demand for change in the area of these hidden issues.
Allow yourself the vulnerability to expose the truth of what you have hidden; turn your anger and rage into constructive action. Major change is possible. Put your shoulder to the grindstone.
The Moon entered Aries as the day began, providing much incentive to push forward on a direct, forceful path.
USING YOUR VOICE
Tuesday, January 23, 2018:
Head outside again (I know it is unlikely… but some of you might!) in the wee hours of the morning before the Sun rises. The pre-dawn sky holds a story. Between 5:50 AM EST and 6:50 AM EST, authoritative Saturn, communicative Mercury, and empowered, often times destructive, Pluto, are seen rising in the east before the illumination of the Sun moves into view at sunrise (7:28 AM EST).
With the Sun in Aquarius, it is the only one of these four planets that is not in heavy, restrictive, duty-bound Capricorn. What does this mean to you? Individually? Culturally? How do you see this reflected? Think about this simply.
I suspect that most of you are working very hard to bring a powerful change to your lives (and the lives of others) by using your voice with self-respect, determination, and integrity.
On the heels of all the work this week brings, the quirky, brilliance of the Aquarian Sun offers relief and intellectual awakening. Watch the Sun as it shows itself over the horizon.
Consider all the powerful, even revolutionary change possible as you awaken and do the work necessary to bring your message to those who need your voice.
The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) after 11:15 PM, she will enter Taurus at 8:40 AM EST on Wednesday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
LISTEN – SPEAK TRUTH
Wednesday, January 24, 2018:
Wednesday’s pre-dawn horizon continues to be dominated by Saturn, Mercury, and Pluto showing themselves rising in the East shortly before the wild Aquarian Sun. Serious conversations regarding business and government continue to precede change.

At 8:40 AM EST, the Moon, settling down after her assertive stretch through Aries, enters stabilizing and comfort-seeking Taurus.
Wednesday afternoon sees Mercury coming into full contact with Pluto. Those serious talks that have been right on the tip of your tongue (or hidden below the surface) are now ready to come forward to shift the very ground you stand on.
Powerful conversations are likely to change the ‘lay of the land’. You may hear things you didn’t expect to hear, you may say things you have wanted to say but weren’t prepared for the results. Now, the time is right.
You likely have very little idea of how the words spoken now will change things but a seed is planted that will grow over the coming months. Much is brewing beneath the surface, Pluto’s work is done in darkness. Pay attention to conversations; listen between the lines.
At 5:21 PM EST, the Taurus Moon forms a stressful square aspect to the Aquarian Sun, pushing you to choose between comfort and necessary, revolutionary change. You have a better idea of what must be done than you may admit to yourself. Get clear.

CREATE BEAUTY AND COMFORT
Thursday, January 25, 2018:
Thursday begins with a lovely sextile aspect from mental Mercury to expansive Jupiter. You are able to see the advantages and the growth possible from whatever conversations have been occurring over the last few days. Whatever that needs to be said or exposed to bring further clarity, comes more easily and creates less stress.
The Moon continues through steadfast, loyal, sensual Taurus. She makes lovely aspects throughout the day to dreamy Neptune, powerful Pluto, and talkative Mercury.
I suspect that your life will take on a slower, more optimistic tone as you focus on sensual pleasures of love and beauty. Whenever the Moon is in Taurus or Libra, (both are ruled by Venus), make the bed, put flowers on the bedside and make space for love, beauty, and sensuality in your life.
The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) after 10:17 PM EST. She will enter Gemini at 12:40 PM EST on Friday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
CONSIDER ADVENTURE AND TRAVEL
Friday, January 26, 2018:
Since early December, Mars has been playing with Jupiter in Sagittarius which is the sign that Jupiter rules. There has been much activity and anger around revelations of dark Scorpionic secrets in the culture and perhaps, in your community, family, or personal life.
At 7:56 AM EST, Mars, the planet of assertion and direct action, enters Sagittarius and begins to assimilate the lessons of the issues that have been revealed. It is time to envision the growth that’s possible and your path forward. Mars will remain in expansive, light-hearted Sagittarius until he enters Capricorn on March 17, 2018.
While Mars is in Sagittarius, you will want to take direct action in-service of your highest ideals. You will also have less tolerance to feeling confined or restricted in any area of your life. This is a great time to seek out adventure, travel, learn about another culture or a new way of thinking.
At 12:40 PM EST, the Moon leaves the sensual sign of Taurus behind and enters curious, information-gathering Gemini. This will be a good weekend for gathering with friends for light conversation and word games.
If you notice yourself aggravated or someone seems cranky in the early afternoon, let it roll off your back. The Moon opposes Mars at 12:53 PM EST. It will pass quickly. Make plans with friends in the evening.

MENTAL ENGAGEMENT NEEDED
Saturday, January 27, 2018:
You can expect a day of mental activity on Saturday. You will be curious about others, you don’t want to sit still but want to move quickly and experience variety in all things. This is the way of Gemini.
This is not the weekend to sit languidly on the couch, go to a movie or spend time at a meditation retreat. You will be much happier chatting with new friends, reading, something relatively light, teaching, learning, and gathering information about a variety of topics.
Keep active or you will find yourself restless and skittish. You may notice that you have a shorter than usual attention span. If you encounter restlessness in others, you may be impatient as well. Use humor to defuse any challenging situations.
As evening approaches, you may notice excitement tor mental anxiety. In the wee hours of Sunday morning, Mercury forms a challenging square aspect to unsettling, inspirational Uranus. Open your mind and allow unusual ideas, epiphanies, and shifting understandings of your world. Don’t hold too tightly to an opinion, belief, or idea. Thoughts, beliefs, and ideas can change on a dime.
Basically, this is a light-hearted day that requires quick movement and mental engagement. Enjoy as you think outside the box.
DISMANTLING OLD BELIEFS
Sunday, January 28, 2018:
If you think about the planets as teachers, consider Mercury as the trickster who moves quickly, talks quickly, and wants to chat-up all the students. Uranus is the unconventional teacher, a bit of a rebel offering insights that surprise or shock its students. In May of 2017, these two joined together to begin a cycle or to teach a class of unusual ideas and a new way of thinking. The next time they come together will be in May of 2018. This is a one year cycle.
With a challenging square aspect between them occurring on Sunday, look back to what you were thinking or learning in May 2017. The line of thinking or communication that you began then now needs to be dismantled in order to begin a new conversation or thinking pattern this May. Don’t worry you have between now and May to engage in the process of dismantling.
An upset may occur to push you to release that thinking, you may meet someone who shakes up your thoughts or you may just have wild epiphanies. Allow yourself to begin the process of release.
At 1:57 PM EST, the Moon winds down, moving into Cancer and hoping to sit close to loved ones and relax with a good meal and loving connections.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
