Today at 9:54 AM EST, the Sun shakes itself free from its recent restrictions and difficulties. Sharing space with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn was no easy feat.
This shift may feel like an escape into freedom. A sense of relief may flood your system. Over the coming month, strive for a new perspective and unusual ways of getting things done. What has recently felt like safety, in retrospect, feels like imprisonment.
Look beyond outdated ideals and seek personal freedom of expression as you champion the rights of others. Aquarius is a humanitarian sign which enables you to understand the connection between all who live on Planet Earth.
While the Sun is in Aquarius (until February 18):

  • volunteer for a humanitarian cause that is important to you
  • notice and acknowledge the unique contribution each human makes to the whole
  • join an organization the helps your community
  • show your most unique quirky style
  • expand your social circle and make new friends

Today’s naturally optimistic Sagittarius Moon supports the awakening of a humanitarian perspective.
The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course for the final 14 minutes of today. She is void-of-course from 11:46 PM EST until Tuesday at 11:59 PM EST. Tomorrow is a full day void-of-course moon, suggesting that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

Even with the Moon in bold, explorative Sagittarius, today is a quiet day. Just before midnight last night, the Moon made her final major aspect to another planet (a square to Neptune) while in Sagittarius.
Today, the Moon moves alone, making no significant aspect, until she enters Capricorn at midnight tonight. An unaspected Moon is called void-of-course (VOC). The Moon is void-of-course every couple of days as it changes from one sign to the next. The length of time she is in this condition varies greatly. Often it is just a few minutes or a few hours. Sometimes – like today – it lasts an entire day.
These are not good times to begin a new project or take a new direction on an ongoing project. But these are excellent times to do deep work that requires quiet and few distractions.
With today’s Moon VOC in expansive Sagittarius, commune with the deeper forces of your psyche. Go inward and allow your soul to rejuvenate and percolate a new understanding.
Take the day off from work, meditate, read, and rest. If you must be at a job, you might fritter the time away in philosophical imagination and daydreams. Rest your grey matter.
The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course all day until she enters Capricorn at midnight, suggesting that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

When you wake this morning, you will notice a more serious tone in the air. Today’s Capricorn Moon may question your lack of accomplishment and effort yesterday.
Allowing any regret or resentment to linger would waste a great day for achievement. Release guilt and move forward with practical determination. With the Moon in Capricorn, you have the energy and desire to get things done.
Today is not a day to work co-operatively with others, but a time for individual accomplishment. Your focus is on pushing forward to achieve long-term objectives.
By focusing on your most practical career and professional goals, you will feel confident, self-reliant, and fearless.

Today has the potential to be a highly active day of nervous tension, excitement, and unpredictable events and activities. The Sun formed a challenging square aspect to Uranus while you slept.
This state will bring uncertainty, asking that you adapt to changes in your environment. Remain true to your nature even as you protect yourself from forces that want to subdue your more unique expression. Be proactive in seeking powerful change.
Do not toe the line to please others. Now is not the time to sell out your individuality and truth. Release what holds you back to prepare yourself for a brave new path beginning in April 2020.
Venus’ sextile to Jupiter this morning highlights good feelings, generosity, and luck. Socializing is fun and smoothe today. Allow charisma and charm to radiate. This energy is perfect for a date night or time spent with old and new friends.
Allow these powerful transits to overshadow the seriousness of the Capricorn Moon.
The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course from 9:09 PM EST until she enters Aquarius tomorrow at 8:21 AM EST, suggesting that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

If you get up early today, the Moon is still in business-focused Capricorn. At 8:21 AM, the Moon enters Aquarius bringing the possibilities of the day into focus.
When the Moon is in Aquarius, making a difference in the world becomes important. You are not focused on your own needs as much as you are aware of the needs of others. Your reactions to all things today will be more intellectual and less emotional.
Spend time with casual or intellectual friends and groups rather than close friends and family. Your attention is on the improvement of the future for all humankind. Consider how you can make a difference in the world as you prepare for your New Moon ritual.
Take a moment to write down the changes you wish to begin, create, or increase in this Moon Cycle. The Aquarius New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of humanitarian understanding, authenticity, and innovation. Depending on your life circumstances, you may want to plant a seed to grow your most original avant-garde voice. You get the idea. Plant a seed in this realm that resonates with your heart.
Have two candles available. Light the first to represent yourself, as you are right now. Light the second candle as inspiration for the change you want to create during this cycle. Take a moment to focus as you light each candle. Imagine drawing the change you desire toward you as you physically bring the two candles closer together.
Do this each day for two weeks. At the Full Moon on February 9, you will bring the candles fully together while acknowledging what you have created.
Please remember that the energy you infuse into this cycle will continue over the next six months until the Aquarius Full Moon in early August 2020.
The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course until she enters Aquarius at 8:21 AM EST, suggesting that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

Saturday, January 25, 2020

On the heels of yesterday’s Aquarius New Moon, the Moon joins today with Mercury in Aquarius. As the Moon and Mercury meet, they each form a lovely sextile aspect to Mars in Sagittarius.
You will find yourself hungry for exciting ideas and new knowledge. Freedom and self-determination are essential to you. Any indication of others exerting influence or control over the trajectory of your day will prompt a sharp rebuke. It will be easier than you expect to let others know your limits. Go ahead and practice expressing and articulating your values and boundaries.
Today is great for public speaking or a fast-paced writing project. As you put direct energy behind your communication, the floodgates of words open. Go ahead and say what you mean with confidence and ease.
The Aquarius Moon is void-of-course from 2:07 PM EST until she enters Pisces tomorrow at 6:43 PM EST, suggesting that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

Today is an uneventful day, a day of well-deserved rest. The Moon is void-of-course in Aquarius for most of the day, a great day to meet up with friends for simple conversations and no agenda.
Host a brunch gathering. Or perhaps you would prefer to curl up with a good book. Look for simple pleasures, and don’t put expectations on yourself or others.
At 6:43 PM EST, the Moon enters Pisces bringing a deep sensitivity to the close of the weekend.
Venus square Mars at 8:37 PM EST may bring impulsiveness, frustration, or impatience. If you channel this energy into a healthy sexual connection tonight, you will end the weekend with a smile as you drift to sleep. If that is not an option, make it a point to exercise or dance before bedtime. If you are unable to release physical tension, then exercise self-control and compromise in the hours before bedtime.
The Aquarius Moon is void-of-course until she enters Pisces at 6:43 PM EST, suggesting that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.

* In these weekly reports, I explore the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and give rise to fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
