A GENTLE START TO 2017
Monday, January 2, 2017:
A very brief VOC* Moon will not interfere with the day at all! By the time you wake up on Monday morning, the Moon will be in dreamy Pisces where she spends the rest of the day lazily content.
It is delightful to be given such an easy and gentle movement into the first week of 2017.
At 7:58 AM EST, we are offered a lovely, supportive sextile between the imaginative Pisces Moon and Mercury (the planet of communication and thought) in hardworking Capricorn. You may want to get up early to engage with gentle movements of mind. This will be a lovely morning for writing, meditation, and to engage with the dreams that you intend to create during the course of 2017.
At 10:57 PM EST, the passive Pisces Moon joins with mystical Neptune encouraging whimsical, gentle dreams throughout the night.
 
INTUITIVE LOVE
Tuesday, January 3, 2017:
By the time you wake up on Tuesday morning, there are a significant number of planets gathered in inspired, sensitive Pisces. At 2:46 AM EST, Venus (the planet of love and beauty) leaves independent Aquarius behind to join Neptune, Mars, and the Moon in this sensitive, mystical sign.
When such a gathering occurs, it is good to pay attention to what the Universe is teaching you through the energy of this sign. If you know what house Pisces occupies in your personal chart, this will help you understand where to put your artistic, mystical, or inspired focus.
Are you being called to focus on developing compassion or your spiritual practice? Are you being call to focus on music, poetry, or creating a work of inspired beauty? Follow your heart and intuition.

LEAVE THE FOG BEHIND
 

Wednesday, January 4, 2017:
The mystical haze of Pisces clears up somewhat on Wednesday morning as Mercury (still retrograde) backs out of serious, steadfast Capricorn and into expansive Sagittarius at 9:17 AM EST.
Shortly thereafter, the Moon leaves mystical Pisces behind to enter dynamic Aries at 11:20 AM EST. As these energies bring the element of Fire to our collective, we come out of the Pisces fog and into a more direct, straight-forward manner of getting through the day.
Shake off the dust and get back to work. It is time to leave the holiday state of mind behind and get back to the projects on your Mercury Retrograde list. Remember, the list you made when Mercury turned retrograde on December 19^th? If the holidays have distracted you, now it is time to finish up that list. Mercury goes direct on Sunday! There is still time to complete those old projects so you will be ready to move ahead next week.
There will be a five minute VOC* Moon between 11:15 AM EST and 11:20 AM EST, when the Moon enters Aries!

Thursday, January 5, 2017:
Following a quiet morning on Thursday, the impatient Aries Moon squares off with the rigid Capricorn Sun for the First Quarter Lunar Phase at 2:47 PM EST.
The First Quarter Square of the Lunar Cycle asks that you take direct action on what you began a week ago at the Capricorn New Moon. Tension between your needs and desires push you forward. What action can you take that will lead toward productive growth of the seed you planted on December 29th? You will know you are taking the correct action by the courage required.
The aggressive Aries Moon is further complicated Thursday evening with a square to transformative Pluto at 5:17 PM EST and a conjunction to unsettling Uranus at 11:14 PM EST.
Be aware of the actions you must take even as you should remain cautious to not act hastily. This is a day of action; do what must be done with courage, caution, and compassion.
 
CALM BEFORE PASSION
Friday, January 6, 2017:
The tension from Thursday has lightened considerably by the time you begin the day on Friday. If you did what you needed to do on Thursday, Friday morning should be quite pleasant. You feel strong, solid, and stable in the conviction and certainty of your path forward. Uranus’ recent forward motion is assisting as the future calls.
A lovely Moon trine Mercury aspect at 1:41 PM EST enables you to express your emotions with confidence, kindness, and ease.
A feeling of stabilization increases when the Moon enters patient dependable Taurus at 3:18 PM EST. This is an evening for relaxation. The anxiety of the election season is passed; there is nothing further to do but wait and watch. The hustle and bustle of the holidays is also behind us; now, you need rest.
However, as the evening approaches, you feel the powerful connection between the Capricorn Sun and obsessive Pluto which will be exact in the early hours of Saturday. This is an aspect of great passion and power. Enjoy the buildup. On Saturday, there will be little to hold you back from pursuing your desires.
