CRACKS FORM ON THE SURFACE OF UNDERSTANDING
Monday, January 14, 2019
The week begins at the First Quarter Moon Phase, with the Moon in assertive Aries. Think back to what began last week at the New Moon Eclipse (January 5). In this consideration, you may find that you are face to face with an issue that needs to be worked through before moving forward to the development of what you desire. This is a day to take action, to make something happen. Do not waste time looking for the perfect action; any action that is taken with integrity and from a place of kindness will move you in the right direction.
When the Moon enters Taurus at 1:32 PM EST you may find yourself slowing down and looking for a quieter more peaceful space. Slow down, seek comfort, good food, and loyal friends.
Jupiter square Neptune is pushing to release you from beliefs that no longer serve you. Where are you beginning to see cracks in your prior understanding of your belief system? You will be working with this issue a great deal throughout the year as your deep understandings begin to shift, dissolve and change. Allow your most powerfully held belief system to dissipate, allowing for a renewed growth of deep awareness.
The Aries Moon is void-of-course from 10:56 AM EST until she enters Taurus at 1:32 PM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.
Tuesday, January 15, 2019:
The Sun continues moving doggedly through serious Capricorn glad to be on the other side of its recent rough conversations with Saturn and Pluto. The Moon in sensual stable Taurus brings pleasure and sensuality to the day encouraging us to deepen our sensuality and feelings of loyalty and physical connection.
This is a day to slow down, spend time with yourself and close loved ones.
Over the coming months the need to connect with Nature will increase dramatically, I know it is winter and may be very cold, but get push yourself into Nature now. Listen to the trees, the stillness of the air and your breath.
Do whatever you can to waken your senses. Cook and enjoy good food, deeply listen to music, get a massage, spend time in Nature, or make love. Find pleasure in the simple things of life. Feel the deep pleasure of hot water as you shower, bath, or wash the dishes. Show others the depth of your loyalty. Understand pleasure as something to share with others. Share with others.
Wednesday, January 16, 2019:
The day continues with the gentle stable Taurus Moon encouraging you to seek out sensual pleasure and beauty. However there are serious challenges in the motion of the planets as Mars, in aggressive Aries prepares for difficult conversations with restrictive Saturn and destructive Pluto over the coming weeks. With four planets (Saturn, Mercury, Pluto, and the Sun) in Capricorn, the sign of reality, integrity, authority, business, and government, we are preparing for a showdown indeed.
Where in your personal life can you expect these challenges? Hint: you are already dealing with these issues. Look to the house that holds Capricorn (use the whole sign house system) and the house that holds Aries. What is the challenge between these two areas of your life? Where is your integrity being questioned? Where do you need to face reality? Over the coming weeks, you will be asked to be honest with yourself about something that is not easy for you to admit. Face the issue head-on and determine to build integrity and maturity. Face reality, get serious and do it with kindness toward yourself and others.
At 8:01 PM EST the Moon leaves earthy Taurus behind to enter inquisitive enthusiastic Gemini. It may take extra effort to fall asleep as your mind races into all kinds of arenas. Expect the next few days to include more activity, conversations, and restlessness.
The Taurus Moon is void-of-course from 1:33 PM EST until she enters Gemini at 8:01 PM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.
THE ACTIVITY OF A BUSY MIND
Thursday, January 17, 2019:
With the Moon now in Gemini, your mind is likely to be moving very quickly, you want and seek mental stimulation and lots of activity. If you notice restlessness setting in finding intellectually stimulating folks to engage with will help
Gemini Moon insists that we engage socially as we need others to bring versatility and diversity to our lives and our thinking. Make a list of incidental chores that need to be done and the phone calls and emails you need to respond to. This is a great time to run around town meeting with folks and getting things done.
Conversations move quickly and with usual wit. Don’t forget to listen as well as speak. With others speaking more freely than usual you may be surprised at what is being said and what you may learn.
SURPRISE AND DELIGHT
Friday, January 18, 2019:
With Venus and Mars each in Fire signs in a lovely aspect with each other, you may feel positive and balanced in your most intimate relationships. Normally this would lead to a great weekend of romance and pleasure. However, I suspect you will need to dig a little deeper. At 3:03 PM EST Mercury joins with Pluto suggesting that there are deep, possibly hidden issues that need to be brought to the surface. It is important that you ask the hard questions you have been avoiding. Listen deeply to the answers you receive and be honest in your response. The significant conversations you bring to the table now will set the stage for profound understanding in the coming year.
At 8:30 PM EST the Sun forms a challenging square aspect to Uranus. Has something unexpected, innovative, or unusual been steadily growing since April? If you can identify what shifted and began at that time you should be able to know what you need to do now to move that issue forward. There may be a surprise or an unexpected development before the weekend is done.
Make it your mission to surprise and delight a stranger, a loved one, or a friend. Ask for nothing in return.
At 10:44 PM EST the Moon enters Cancer sending you into the rest of the weekend feeling affectionate or needy depending on the conversations and surprises that have defined the day.
The Gemini Moon is void-of-course from 8:32 PM EST until she enters Cancer at 10:44 PM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.
“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino
GIVE THE BEST YOU’VE GOT
Saturday, January 19, 2019:
The Cancer Moon in her Gibbous Phase pulls us toward fulfillment and deep awareness. The Full Moon draws close as darkness becomes increasingly illuminated. Do you feel yourself at a tipping point?
The Cancer Moon is highly sensitive and you may find yourself consumed with a desire for comfort, safety, love, and home. If possible stay in a warm nest with family and loved ones focused on domestic tasks providing comfort during the day. By evening you may want to retreat to your own private corner as the Moon makes rough aspects to Mars (7:27 PM EST) and Saturn (8:49 PM EST). Don’t engage with negativity, arguments, or struggles, allow challenges to slide off your back. Model loving-kindness and open-hearted vulnerability. Give the best you’ve got to those you love and those you are responsible to.
EMBRACE INNOVATION: SUN ENTERS AQUARIUS
LUNAR ECLIPSE IS AT HAND
Sunday, January 20, 2019:
The Sun is happy to escape the seriousness of Capricorn (3:59 PM EST) to enter the intellectually exciting and innovative sign of Aquarius. With the Sun in Aquarius, we are motivated by the desire for freedom, individuality and wild intellect. We are not content with the status quo.
Wherever the Sun moves it brings warmth and light. What house holds Aquarius in your chart? If you want to watch and understand the moving patterns of the planets in your own life, join me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/astrolore
At 10:54 PM EST the Moon approaching the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse enters the exuberant, expressive sign of Leo.
Depending on the time zone you live in, the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse occurs late Sunday or early Monday morning (12:12 AM EST).
The thing to remember is that a Lunar Eclipse is simply an overly strong Full Moon. Your focus will be on emotions, close relationships, home, and family. A Full Moon illuminates your ability to fully observe how you are in your most significant relationships. As the light of the Moon is blotted out you are able to reset your emotions. Areas of your heart that have felt stuck can now be shifted and realigned. You are more in touch with your deepest needs making it clear where there are disruptions in the harmony of your partnerships. Whatever becomes clear to you over the next day or two will very likely have a profound impact on your life over the coming 6 months.
The Cancer Moon is void-of-course from 8:49 PM EST until she enters Leo at 10:54 PM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.
“There is something out there. Astrology is like a game of chess with an invisible partner. We set out the board and the rules, make a move, and then find that the pieces are moving themselves, as if by an invisible hand.” ~ Noel Tyl
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, textiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
