What an interesting week we have to look forward to!
This second week of February 2015 is astonishing in it’s lack of significant aspects. Yes, I could add minor aspects, asteroids, or all kinds of other things to the picture to give us more to talk about. However, I prefer to simply accept and delight in a relatively non-uneventful week. Now, doesn’t that sound wonderful?

Could this possibly be a week of rest and simplicity? Don’t get too comfortable as Sunday is bound to bring its challenges!
We begin the week still dealing with the issues of Mercury’s retrograde cycle. Personally, I have experienced this Mercury retrograde as rather amusing. The issues that I have encountered have been so predictable.
Yes, there have been issues and challenges with scheduling, communications, and forgetfulness. Several times this week, I’ve wildly searched for a particular communication in my e-mail box only to discover the entire conversation had been going on in Facebook! Ugh.
Annoying, yes, but those kind of issues can be brushed off with a bit of humor. Fortunately, my clients have rolled with it easily as well. You know who you are: Thank you!
The best astrological issue occurs in the middle of the week! We are ready! Wednesday, February 11th at 9:56 AM EST Mercury turns direct! This is the kind of news we are all delighted to hear.
Have you completed the projects you have been re-doing, re-writing, or re-working on? Are you ready to move forward with new projects, new communications, and a new mental attitude?
Enjoy the quiet of the week; enjoy the shift as we move forward once again.
Monday, February 9, 2015:
The week begins with the Moon in Libra, the sign of diplomacy and beauty. No sooner does the day begin when the Moon forms a lovely sextile to Jupiter, followed by a beautifully flowing energy of a trine to the Aquarius Sun. What a beautiful start to the day/week!
At 6:58 AM EST, following the trine to the Sun, the Moon is VOC* until Tuesday morning when she enters Scorpio.
Once again we have a full day with the Moon VOC*.
Enjoy easy, uncomplicated social engagements with like-minded and fun individuals. Don’t look for an agenda in these social gatherings. Simply enjoy the presence and intellectual banter of others. Remember the VOC* Moon represents a time when it is best not to be focused on accomplishment. That does not mean these are negative times. The energy of this time is largely determined by the final aspect the Moon forms before the VOC*. In today’s example, the final aspect was a trying between the Sun and the Moon – Lovely!
This has the potential to be a very intellectually stimulating and fun day. Enjoy it for exactly what it is.
Tuesday, February 10, 2015:
Long before we wake on Tuesday morning, the Moon has entered the deeply intense waters of Scorpio. Tuesday will be much better for getting work done, particularly if the work involves research or investigation of some sort. The best time to work with this energy is early in the day. By late afternoon, it may be a little more difficult to focus your attention on what came so easily in the morning. At 3:14 PM EST, the Moon forms a lovely trine to Neptune. A lovely evening for romantic encounters, soft music, candlelight, and passion!

Yes, Mercury is still retrograde (currently stationing at 1° Aquarius), so you will want to lean heavily on nonverbal communications throughout that candlelit dinner. Don’t expect intellectual conversations!
If you are alone on Tuesday evening, light those candles for yourself, enjoy the sensual pleasures of a hot bath, read poetry, and listen to soothing music. Make this a special evening of self- care and nurturing.
Wednesday, February 11, 2015:
We are delighted to greet this Wednesday morning! Mercury turns direct at 9:56 AM EST (1° Aquarius)!
How well have you done in clearing your desk of projects that needed completion? Can you feel your mind turning toward new projects, new endeavors, and new directions? Are you ready to move forward?
It will take several days for Mercury to get up to speed, so for now, tie up any loose ends and start the preparation for the new set of projects that you want to work on between now and the next Mercury retrograde (May 18, 2015).
The Moon is in Scorpio throughout the day bringing our attention to the deeper, more powerful issues beneath the surface of our lives.
Wednesday also brings us to the Third-Quarter square Phase of the Moon (10:50 PM EST). Pay attention to where you are being called to look clearly at reality and make necessary adjustments to your path. We have another week to prepare for the new Lunar Cycle which begins on February 18th.
Thursday, February 12, 2015:
We will want to move slowly, without hurry as we begin the day on Thursday. As the day begins, the Scorpio Moon forms a trine aspect to Mars. Following this energizing aspect, the Moon will be VOC* until she enters Sagittarius at 11:47 AM EST. If you can arrange your schedule, don’t start the work part of your day until then.
Thursday afternoon may feel a little hectic as we try to accomplish enough to cover the lack of accomplishment in the morning. At 7:31 PM EST, the Moon conjunct Saturn ushers us into an overly serious evening. Consider what you are focusing this serious energy on. Take stock of where you find yourself in your life.
Consider the avenues open to you to learn more about your world. You may want to contemplate travel, education, or spiritual understanding. You may feel the need to understand cultural differences between yourself and others. Sit with these thoughts on Thursday evening. Consider what you are currently learning and what your soul longs to more deeply understand. Look around you.
Ask the people in your life what they want to learn that they believe will seriously expand their understanding of the world we live in. You may be surprised what you learn regarding people you thought you knew well.
Friday, February 13, 2015:
I can scarcely imagine a day better than this Friday! The Moon forms a grand trine with Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Leo. This allows us a new free ride of expansive expression. Take a risk to fully express yourself today. Explore something new that you have always been curious about.
This is a perfect day to explore museums, art galleries, churches and synagogues. Explore the way other people live and what they believe. Teach yourself to be seriously curious about how others think!
If there was only one thing astrology has taught me in the last 45 years, it is how differently each individual experiences and views the world. The difference in our perspectives and the conclusions we come to from those perspectives are tremendous. Be curious! Ask questions. Be open to the answers you receive and ask more questions! Share your viewpoint without attachment, for the simple joy of sharing.
Do you have a habitual pattern of behavior for Friday evening? If so; break that pattern this week. Do something different! Engage with people that may be outside of your comfort zone. Go dancing. Find pleasure in activity and expression.
Perhaps you will want to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday rather than Saturday.
This is a lovely day! Enjoy.
Saturday February 14, 2015:
Saturday begins with the Moon still in Sagittarius. The energy is a bit more subdued than it was on Friday. If you have chores you need accomplished, get up early and get all necessary tasks completed before 10:15 AM EST.
At that time the Capricorn Moon squares Mars, followed by the Moon VOC*. We may notice ourselves and others being cranky, frustrated, or irritable until the Moon enters Capricorn at 5:24 PM EST.
If you are celebrating Valentine’s Day, be aware that this is not a great evening for frivolous fun and light romance. I would not celebrate this holiday with someone that you are not in a deeply serious and committed relationship with.
When the Moon is in Capricorn, fun is not what is on the agenda. You will do better to discuss the more serious goals and ambitions of a partnership, such as business plans or building your financial future.
If you are alone this evening, you will be able to focus on something of a serious nature that you want to accomplish. Please do not waste your time in melancholy or feeling sorry for yourself.
Remember, this is not a frivolous evening. This is a serious evening of looking at the reality of your situation and determining the steps to take to get it to where you want to be.

Sunday February 15, 2015:
Just in case he is reading this, I want to give a shout out, a happy birthday to my dear son, Elliot Thor Lajza! It is only appropriate that his birthday fall on a day with a very serious Capricorn Moon, as he is a serious young man with a Stellium in Capricorn.
This week has been relatively easy with few complications.
Sunday is bound to be the most difficult day of the week. The Moon in Capricorn is solitary and serious, and on Sunday she encounters the square between Uranus and Pluto.
The morning may seem relatively uneventful but by afternoon you may do well to take time alone to avoid difficulties with others. Moon aspects pass quickly; don’t get wrapped up in problems that will past before Monday morning!
Respect the process of everyone you encounter. At this time, the square between Uranus and Pluto is gearing up for its final confrontation in March. As they reach closer to the exact time of that connection, they become more easily agitated. When other planets activate their connection, such as the Moon does on Sunday, their ongoing disagreement is aggravated. I have talked about the Uranus square Pluto transit and thought about it incessantly over the last several years. Let me remind you, Uranus represents change, revolution, and high anxiety. Pluto represents destruction followed by transformation and the possibility of deep empowerment. As these two planets come together, it is an intense demand for irrevocable transformation in our personal lives, cultures, and the world. How is the process working out in your own life? Be patient with everyone you see.
This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question. Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything go ahead with it! If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing; that is the Moon VOC*!
Monday, February 9, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Libra) following a sextile to Jupiter at 12:45 AM EST and lasting until 2:06 AM EST on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 when she enters Scorpio.
Thursday, February 12, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Scorpio) following a trine to Mars at 12:33 AM EST and ending at 11:47 AM EST when she enters Sagittarius.
Saturday, February 14, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Sagittarius) following a square to Mars at 10:15 AM EST and ending at 5:24 PM EST when she enters Capricorn
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC* time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*.
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions.
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
