LOOKING FOR A DREAM – Monday, February 3, 2020
The week begins with the Moon entering Mercury-ruled Gemini at 6:29 AM EST, this offers a quick-moving and active day. However, as Mercury moves from innovative Aquarius into compassionate Pisces at 6:37 AM EST, a new tone emerges.
Mercury in Aquarius (since January 16th) kept your thinking rather cool and objective. Watch that shift as Mercury in Pisces asks you to turn your thoughts to sweeter, more mystical places. In the coming weeks, you will find more compassion and understanding in your dealings with others.
You will be a bit more susceptible to miscalculations and unclear thinking with Mercury in Pisces. Be on alert for siren songs that attempt to lure you to unhealthy places. You are also more inclined toward music, poetry, and imagination. Schedule time to dream.
You may find your thinking takes you to beautiful places you never imagined. Mercury will remain in Pisces during the majority of its upcoming retrograde (from 02/16 – 03/09).
Spend time over the coming weeks writing poetry, making art, and losing yourself in nature. Perhaps you have a musical instrument that has gathered dust recently. Now is the time to dust it off and get lost in the sounds you can create.
At 5:01 PM EST Venus forms a lovely sextile aspect to Saturn bringing stability to love, partnership, and possibly your bank account.
The Taurus Moon is void-of-course from 6:28 AM EST until she enters Gemini at 6:29 AM EST. Yes, you read that right. It is VOC for one minute. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact. I don’t think you need to worry!
MUCH NEEDED FLOW – Tuesday, February 4, 2020
It is easy to feel scattered when the Moon is in Gemini. Your mind moves hastily from one thing to another. You want to communicate, think, talk, and understand today. You are motivated by a desire to gather any information you need to satisfy your curiosity. Gemini tends to be upbeat and light-hearted but can leave you feeling restless and unsettled.
This is a great day to catch up on communications and get random tasks and errands out of the way. It is not a good day to work on deep projects that need focus and concentration.
The high point of today comes with the Moon forming a lovely trine to the Sun at 11:20 AM EST. There will be an easy flow in your communications with others and it is easy to express your ideas and feelings.
If you are managing difficult situations in your life you will be able to set them aside for a few hours of much needed internal flow.

GO BEYOND THE USUAL – Wednesday, February 5, 2020
Today begins with a sextile from Mercury to innovative Uranus. This offers the opportunity for provocative, stimulating conversations and possibly exciting news. This is a great time for socializing with your more unique unusual friends. Unexpected information may come your way, bringing unusual epiphanies. You may encounter new people who open your mind or offer new opportunities.
At 2:02 PM EST, the Moon enters Cancer, this may result in you questioning the wisdom of the morning’s excitement. When your workday is complete you are ready to head home for a quiet evening with family or loved ones. A great way to satisfy both the Cancer Moon and Uranus’ activation is to plan a dinner menu that goes beyond your usual cuisine. Find a simple ethnic dish to delight yourself and your family.
The Gemini Moon is void-of-course from 9:20 AM EST until she enters Cancer at 2:02 PM EST. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.
PULLED IN OPPOSING DIRECTIONS – Thursday, February 6, 2020
Because the Moon is in its natural sign of Cancer, we tend to think that this placement will provide all sweetness and light. With the Sun currently in Aquarius here are some complications to that expectation. Aquarius pulls you to unusual humanitarian ideas even as the Cancer Moon wants only to go home and tuck into a place of safety. This may leave you feeling pulled in opposing directions.
Yesterday I mentioned the value of exploring cultures outside of your own through cooking. This holds throughout today.
Cancer teaches love and equates love with sustenance. Anyone with a strong component of Cancer understands the connection between food and love. Food = Comfort = Love
The Sun, currently in Aquarius, wants to explore a wider view of the world through culture and understanding.
Take your family to a restaurant that serves food you’ve never tried. If you have time to cook, have fun exploring a dish from another culture.
At 8:15 PM EST, the Moon forms a trine aspect to Neptune. Allow yourself a soft escape this evening. Go ahead and enjoy an extra glass of wine, watch a movie, or read a novel that will take you away to other lands.
PLAY WITH CHILDLIKE ABANDON – Friday, February 7, 2020
Since January 13th Venus has been moving through Pisces. In Pisces, Venus has encouraged you to speak of love and personal values in a poetic, mystical voice. At 3:02 PM EST Venus leaves this adaptable emotional sign to enter Aries.
While Venus is in Aries (until March 4) your attitude toward love and beauty takes on a tone of daring, gutsy confidence, action, and impatience. Rather than approaching your desires with subtlety and sweetness you are ready to take bold action. You will not sugar coat what you are looking for and will not mince words in seeking fulfillment. For the time being, you can say goodbye to passivity and stagnation.
At 5:45 PM EST, the Moon enters Leo moving us closer to Sunday Full Moon. The Moon in Leo helps you to adjust to Venus now in Aries as both are bold Fire signs. Together they support you to shine brightly this evening. This is a great night to go out for active socializing and play. Gather your crew together to go dancing, night skiing, or make snow angels and snow castles in the park. Play with childlike abandon.
The Cancer Moon is void-of-course from 10:42 AM EST until she enters Leo at 5:45 PM EST. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.
CHOOSE SIMPLICITY – Saturday, February 8, 2020
Today is a unique day astrological because there are no major planetary aspects AND no major aspects to the Moon as well. With the blank space in my planetary listing, I almost missed writing about today altogether.
What can you make of a day that has absolutely no aspects to shift your mood in any direction either up or down? I call it a wild card without the normal flutter of emotion.
Today is a simple day as the Moon floats unencumbered through the playful childlike sign of Leo. Remember that Leo is ruled by the Sun. Think of the generosity of that shining golden Orb. Of course, each sign has a negative manifestation but let us call forth the positive.
Today, express the open-hearted generosity of the Sun.
Allow yourself to bask in its light and warmth and to shine that light amongst your friends as you bask in their offerings as well. This is a day to enjoy without complexity. Go for simplicity, choose fun, choose to support the love of friends and family.
As you absorb the generosity of that gleaming golden sun, keep in mind that we are still growing toward the illumination of tomorrow’s Full Moon.
CELEBRATE CLARITY: FULL MOON IN LEO – Sunday, February 9, 2020
The Leo Full Moon occurs in the early morning hours while you slept
(2:33 AM EST). Each month the Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon (the luminaries) are opposing each other from our earth’s perspective.
Think back to January 24th and consider the seed you planted at your Aquarius New Moon ritual. What was your aspiration for this cycle? How far you have come in growing that aspiration? Each Full Moon brings vision and illumination. We are able to see clearly what is in direct opposition to where we stand. Celebrate clarity.
Continue with the playful generous abandonment of yesterday. Go to brunch with your friends, bring gifts or help those in need. Take a group of children out sledding. Make it your mission to bring fun and playfulness to others today.
At 6:38 PM EST, the Moon enters Virgo, just in time for practical preparations for the week ahead.
The Leo Moon is void-of-course from 11:09 AM EST until she enters Virgo at 6:38 PM EST. This suggests that what occurs during this time will not have much impact.
* In these weekly reports, I explore the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and give rise to fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
