RUTHLESS AMBITION
Monday, February 12, 2018:
The week does not begin on a light-hearted note but you may appreciate that you are starting with a sense of personal drive and ambition. Going back to sleep is not an option as you are fully aware of how much work you have ahead of you.
Get on track right away and use the energy available for accomplishment. The Moon moves through hard-working, authoritative Capricorn throughout the day.
At 2:22 PM EST, the Moon joins Pluto, demanding that you push forward with determined empowerment. You may be a bit ruthless in your drive for success.
At 6:42 PM EST, with a sextile being formed from the Moon to expansive Jupiter, the evening offers a bit more room to relax. Look for opportunities that you have been too focused to see earlier in the day. Find a way to release the stress from so much focused ambition, get outside, take a walk, and shift your perspective.
Sleep may not come easily on Monday night as a square aspect is formed from the Capricorn Moon to Uranus, shortly after midnight. Exercise or meditation before bedtime will help.

EXPRESS YOUR UNIQUE SELF
Tuesday, February 13, 2018:
Early Tuesday morning is uneventful until the Moon enters Aquarius at 10:12 AM EST. The serious ambition and effort of yesterday gives way to progressive ideas and an objective understanding of what is truly important. Notice how your emotions are not apt to get in the way of your unusual or progressive ideas.
Tuesday evening, Mercury forms a challenging square aspect to Jupiter, asking you to consider how you explain and express your beliefs. You may have a clear internal understanding of what you believe and yet struggle terribly to express those beliefs in a way that others understand. Make the effort to think things through before trying to put them into words.
At 9:22 PM EST, the Aquarius Sun forms a lovely sextile aspect to Uranus. This energy will last well into Wednesday and offers you an opportunity for spontaneous expression of your most unique, authentic self. Go ahead, get on stage with that improv team, you’ll do great! 😉
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:44 AM EST until she enters Aquarius at 10:12 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

YOUR UNIQUE PARTNERSHIP DOES NOT FIT IN A HEART SHAPED BOX
Wednesday, February 14, 2018:
Wednesday offers excitement and the ability to move forward without uncomfortable emotions getting in your way. What do you want to do that requires that you detach yourself from what those around you think?
When the Moon is in open-minded Aquarius, allow yourself to surprise others with a true, authentic expression of your most unique self. Allow yourself to be the outsider as you consider how much freedom that position offers. Cultures and humanity move forward on this energy. Without the ability to be truly unique and move outside the boundaries of approval, we would be in the dark ages of the 1950’s still.
At 9:30 AM EST, the Moon forms a sextile aspect to Mars, offering an opportunity to take direct action on something important to your individual, unique path.
This is not the Valentine’s Day given to expressions of tender sensitivity. This Valentine’s Day will be best utilized to take an objective look at your partnerships and create a path forward that takes into full consideration the unique, possibly unconventional needs of your particular relationship.

AQUARIUS NEW MOON, SOLAR ECLIPSE
Thursday, February 15, 2018:
Thursday begins with great excitement as Mercury (the planet of your mind and thoughts) forms a sextile aspect to eccentric, unusual Uranus at 10:07 AM EST. Your mind is ready and open for unexpected and original insights. The Aquarius Moon adds to the picture as she gets into this lively conversation that is already going on. Keep your mind open to epiphanies and revolutionary ideas and experiences that could come out of the blue.
At 4:06 PM EST, we reach the Aquarius New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 27° Aquarius.
I will separately post the instructions for the New Moon Ritual which you should do over the next day or two. You do not want to do it while the Moon is still under the beams of the Sun!
At 6:19 PM EST, a sextile aspect is formed between lovely Venus and stable Saturn. Keep your eyes open and consider opportunities that may present themselves regarding the stabilization of your love relationships, your financial resources, or your creative endeavors.
At 9:42 PM EST, the Moon enters Pisces, asking that you go inward and care deeply for the more mystical side compassionate side of your nature. This is a great night for deep, profound, and refreshing sleep.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 4:06 PM EST until she enters Pisces at 9:42 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

~ Weekend New Moon Ritual ~
Friday will be the best day to plan and implement your New Moon ritual. Keep it simple. First, take a moment to write down what changes you wish to create or increase in the upcoming Moon cycle. For this Aquarius New Moon, set an intention regarding your humanitarian aspirations, intellectual or scientific innovations, or other independent innovations.
If you know what house in your birth chart holds Aquarius, it will help you clarify where inventive idea wants to manifest. For example, if Aquarius is in your 1st house, set an intention of expressing the uniqueness of your personality; or if Aquarius is in the 4th house, set an intention to bring more unusual ideas into your home. With the Water Bearer in the 7th, the intention may be to meet unconventional people or begin a progressive new path with your partner or in the 10th, you may see the need to bring new innovations or make unpredictable changes to your business or career.
If you don’t know what house is involved, simply go with your intuition regarding the area of life that needs to grow through the expression of your most unconventional ideas and objective brilliance.
Have two candles available for the ritual; light the first candle to represent yourself, just as you are in this moment. Light the second candle as an aspiration of what you intend to create. Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle. When you light the second candle, focus on drawing to you what you are choosing to create as you bring the two candles closer together. Do this each day and at the Full Moon in two weeks, you will bring them fully together and acknowledge the result of what you have created.
The Aquarius New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of progressive, revolutionary growth.
Share this ritual with your friends and loved ones.

INSPIRATION AND COMPASSION
Friday, February 16, 2018:
On Friday morning, Mercury reaches the point of Thursday’s New Moon and Eclipse, possibly revealing something that has been previously obscured or unclear. You may be surprised by an unanticipated revelation.
With the super sensitive Pisces Moon forming a lovely sextile to Saturn, early in the day, you are able to minimize any difficulties through deep compassion and staying in touch with transcendent or mystical inspiration.
If you find yourself feeling confused or susceptible to inner suffering, move your attention outward and look at those around you with deep, unconditional love and compassion. This is a day made for meditation, empathetic responses, or creating dreamy works of inspired poetry, music, or beauty.

REST AND DREAM
Saturday, February 17, 2018:
Two major aspects dominate Saturday. First, at 6:20 AM EST, Mars, the planet of action, forms a challenging square aspect to Neptune. This creates a situation where it is deeply challenging to get anything truly accomplished. As you try to step forward in action, you will be likely stopped by a sense of weakness or confusion.
I would recommend that you simply allow this to be a day where action is elusive, allow the world to lack clarity. You could struggle against it and try to get things done or you can just allow the day to dissolve under your feet. There is no point in pushing against the grain. Let yourself rest, go to the movies, hang out on a beach, and dream.
At 11:28 PM EST, Mercury leaves Aquarius behind to join with the Moon, Venus and Neptune, already in dreamy, sensitive Pisces. Pay attention to your dreams, they will support a path of understanding. On Sunday, the Moon will leave Pisces behind even as the Sun will join this mystical gathering.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:14 PM EST until she enters Aries on Sunday morning at 7:05 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

FLOATING IN DREAM SPACE
Sunday, February 18, 2018:
On Sunday, you will awake to the Moon’s entry into Aries at 7:05 AM EST, bringing restless, emotional energy to the table. This energy is more than a bit out of place given the pile-up of planets occurring in the mutable water sign of Pisces.
At 12:17 PM EST, the Sun joins the gathering! With the ingress of the Sun into inspirational Pisces, it joins Mercury, Venus, Neptune, and Chiron all in this surreal, elusive, and intangible sign.
The Aries Moon doesn’t know how to behave in this environment and may be frustrated, particularly as she forms a square aspect to Saturn at 7:15 PM EST.
Over the coming weeks, it is important that you learn to go with the flow, to take time for meditation and quiet, to go inward, to touch the divine within yourself and see the divine in others. Experiment with different types of music and find out what sings to your soul. You will benefit from incorporating music in your everyday life.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Aries at 7:05 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”
~ Dane Rudhyar “Astrological Aspects – a Process-Oriented Approach” 1980

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
