“Astrology is like a weather report; it tells you what conditions you’re likely to face in the future. If the weatherman says it’s probably going to rain, you bring an umbrella. If you follow that advice, you won’t get wet.” ~Lee Goldberg

Monday, April 30, 2018:

If it weren’t for the anticipation of big changes mid-month, we would consider this to be an easy week. However, we can’t disregard the intensity that is hovering right around the corner as we wait for Uranus to move into Taurus on the 15th. Now, I’m getting away from myself… let’s keep our conversation to Monday.

The Moon moves smoothly through intense Scorpio throughout the day, forming lovely aspects to Neptune and settling a rosy haze over the deep issues we are contemplating. In the afternoon, she connects with Jupiter, expanding our awareness of our own deep understanding and the personal power that awareness gives you.

The evening brings a lovely sextile to Pluto and later to Mars, encouraging us to open a door and step through into a serious plan that we know is about to unfold. We are waiting on a precipice; contemplation of our own understanding will support whatever changes come.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* after 10:57 PM EDT until she enters Sagittarius on Tuesday morning at 11:20 AM EDT.

Tuesday, May 1, 2018:

Tuesday morning remains quiet; it is as though we all are silently waiting throughout the entire first half of May. Rest and wait; what is the precipice we are on the edge of? Over the next few weeks, Uranus will begin to answer these questions.

There’s a depth and intensity throughout the morning as the Moon completes her time in the watery depths of Scorpio.

AT 11:20 AM EDT, the Moon enters Sagittarius, allowing us to explore new ideas, new cultures, and new worldviews. With the Moon in Sagittarius, we may feel restless and want to explore new places and new ways of thinking. We may feel that our life isn’t big enough. Spend time with friends who encourage the expansion of our thinking and deepen our philosophical understanding.
Acknowledge the places where our patterns of thinking keep us stuck. Devote ourselves to looking outside of those barriers.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* until she enters Sagittarius at 11:20 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

Wednesday, May 2, 2018:

Wednesday brings another day of building excitement or anxiety in the background while a sense of waiting lays quietly in the foreground. This rather unnerving sensation will remain until Uranus finally breaks free upon entering Taurus on May 15th.

The Moon continues through idealistic Sagittarius on Wednesday, allowing us to continue to expand our worldview and philosophical understanding.

We should pay attention to the folks we encounter and the information that we feed into our mind. Notice the books, blogs, and magazines we are reading; pay attention to the media we consume. Ask ourselves: are we feeding our mind the quality of information that will help us grow in our understanding of the world we live in? Do not underestimate the importance of what we absorb through all forms of media along with the people we allow to impact our thinking and worldview.

Thursday, May 3, 2018:

Please do enjoy the calm and quiet while it lasts and yes, it remains with us on Thursday. This continues the theme of seeking independence, growth and philosophical understanding.

The optimistic Sagittarius Moon forms an exciting trine aspect to inspirational Uranus at 8:50 PM EDT. We should stay up late planning a trip to a place that will widen our view and understanding of the world. Perhaps we are reading a book or are engaged in a project that is opening our mind to a new worldview.
The Moon remains in freedom seeking Sagittarius until she enters responsible, hard-working Capricorn at 10:07 PM EDT. Friday will bring us into a weekend of more serious energies.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:50 PM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 10:07 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

Friday, May 4, 2018:

Friday will hum along perfectly fine as long as we keep our more serious ambitions and responsibilities in mind. This is not a day for frivolousness. The Moon is moving through determined, levelheaded Capricorn all day Friday and Saturday.

Unless we are willing to carefully plan a mature, disciplined path forward, these are difficult days to engage in romance or play. Get serious, make a commitment, and put a stake in solid ground. Tell the truth about what is needed; our integrity depends on it. This is a day to work through difficulties and stubborn obstacles. The Capricorn Moon allows for a more realistic and patient approach.

Saturday, May 5, 2018:

Saturday offers you another day to get serious about what needs mature planning, serious discipline, and realistic focus in your life. This is not a day to waste on impractical, petty issues. Pay attention to the reality of what we are creating. Put a stake in the ground that will hold up under pressure. Whatever we are building will need to stand the test of time, so do not skimp on the details.

With the Moon in Capricorn, we are focused on the direction of our lives; ambitious yet practical, making solid plans for the future.

We may feel a bit pessimistic and overwhelmed with our real-world situation, don’t use that as an excuse not to put in the practical effort needed to reach our goals. As the Moon joins with Pluto in the early evening, tread carefully but do not avoid the deeper hidden issues that need to be addressed.

Keep reality, clarity, and practicality in mind and all will settle into place.

Sunday, May 6, 2018:

Finally, Sunday brings the most potent energy of the week. Until now, the week has been exclusively dominated by the conditions of the quickly moving Moon. Remember the transits of the Moon represent quickly shifting sand.

Sunday brings sweet, easy opportunities in the form of the solid Taurus Sun creating a sweet sextile aspect to dreamy Neptune. Go ahead and bring out those rose-colored glasses, allow ourselves to see the world from a softer perspective.

In early March with the conjunction between the Sun and Neptune, perhaps we began a dream, an intangible beginning of a goal. Possibly, we had just a glimmer of what was possible. Now, that dream is beginning to flesh out, it is time to begin to unpack what is truly viable.

Get curious about opportunities that will move this dream forward. We need to keep our eyes open, we may be surprised by the possibilities that present themselves now.

At 10:49 AM EDT, the Moon enters unconventional Aquarius, brightening our understanding of what we can create; we are able to see outside cultural expectations. Innovate for our future. We can make our own rules.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:49 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 10:49 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

At the moment I am looking into astrology, which seems indispensable for a proper understanding of mythology. There are strange and wondrous things in these lands of darkness. Please, don’t worry about my wanderings in these infinitudes. I shall return laden with rich booty for our knowledge of the human psyche. ~ Carl Jung

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
*The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
*The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
