Perhaps you thought that after all the intensity of last week we would get a break this week!
Don’t hold your breath. The story is not over.
We still have this week and much of next week to get through before we can substantially take a break.
The Cardinal Grand Cross, consisting of Uranus (Aries), Pluto (Capricorn), Jupiter (Cancer), and Mars (Libra) is still very much in high focus throughout the week!
Last week Mercury traveled through this land of intensity and unimaginable change! We have been brought into deep shifts and unsettling changes within our minds, we are learning how to think in a new way.
As our thought processes change so do our circumstances.
This week begins with the fifth of seven exact ‘hits’ of the Square between Uranus and Pluto. Two more to go! The first was in the Summer of 2012, and the final exact ‘hit’ will in March 2015. Only a year to go and we can get on with rebuilding the New World we find ourselves in!
With the Moon at Her Third-Quarter Phase in Aquarius, Mars gets into the full action of the Grand Cross as he first Squares Jupiter on Tuesday, then Opposes Uranus and Squares Pluto on Wednesday!
Another week of surprises, innovations, and unusual depth of intensification in our world, both internally and externally!
The key priorities for the week, once again:

  1. Awareness
  2. Self care
  3. Kindness

The week starts with the Moon in Capricorn; she passes through Aquarius and Pisces, and ends the week in Aries. This begins the week with an emotional focus outside of our selves. Saturday morning as the Moon enters Aries our emotional focus turns inward and becomes more centered on the self.

Monday, April 21, 2014:

Monday begins the week with incredible intensity. Energy has been building strongly!  With the Moon in Capricorn there is a serious edge to all that we encounter.
At 3:20 PM EDT Uranus and Pluto make their fifth of seven exact ‘hits’ of the First-Quarter Square between them. There has been so much talk about this configuration over the past few years. Because of how slowly these planets move and how long the cycle lasts, this is a very deep and long-lasting influence. The first exact ‘hit’ came in June 2012 and the final ‘hit’ comes in March of 2015. The intensity of the current impact (April 21) is due in large part to the fact that Mars and Jupiter are standing at 13degrees of Libra and Cancer forming a Full Cardinal Grand Cross with Uranus and Pluto.
Consider the Square Aspect itself as energies pulling at cross-purposes to each other. Think of Uranus as the planet of revolution, unexpected change, innovation, and intensification. Uranus opens our eyes to a future we had not previously considered! Pluto, on the other hand, is the planet of transformation, destruction, and empowerment. Pluto destroys what is in its path in order to make the space for new and powerful change. Consider this. Make no mistake the power of this day, this week, these times we are living in.
Capricorn moon is VOC* following a Square to Mercury at 7:21 PM. If you are emotionally involved in attempting to bring someone to your way of thinking on a particular matter; just let it go!

Tuesday, April 22, 2014:

Shortly after midnight on Monday night the Moon will enter Aquarius and before we awaken we will have reached the Third Quarter phase of the Moon. The Third Quarter Moon brings us to a moment where we are able to look at what has happened in the past week and choose to step aside and take a different path than the one we thought we would be on last week at this time.
Mars is now actively engaged in the Grand Cross making his first Aspect (a Square to Jupiter) at 3:27 PM EDT. Aggravation, anger or a powerful need to take action may feel overwhelming at this point in time. Pay attention to any planets or sensitive points you have at approximately 13° of Cardinal Signs (Aries, cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). Keep breathing. Be patient with yourself and others. Remember that we are in this together and we can come out the other side with a new vision and way of experiencing and viewing the world!

Wednesday, April 23, 2014:

On Wednesday Mars Opposes Uranus and Squares Pluto, be aware of this time. You may experience intense aggravation, fear, excitement, or perhaps an electrifying and overwhelming need to take action. Keep an eye on your own anxiety, levels of frustration, assertiveness, and anger. Do not get behind the wheel of a car, use power tools, or sharp utensils without checking your emotional state. Pay attention.
Early this morning Mercury leaves Aries behind and enters Taurus; that is the gift of this day.
With Mars so worked up around the Cardinal Grand Cross the last thing in the world we need is Mars ruling Mercury (Mercury in Aries)! Mercury entering Taurus will settle our minds a bit and for now every little bit is tremendously helpful.
I look forward to future days when there’s very little to write about! Remember those days of sitting in the garden and reading a book without concern? Those days are not today.
The Aquarius Moon makes her final aspect, a Square to Saturn at 2:11 PM EDT. The Moon is VOC for the rest of the day.

Thursday, April 24, 2014:

Moon enters Pisces while we sleep on Thursday morning and makes lovely aspects throughout the day. If you can find a moment in the middle of this wild week to rest, dream, and contemplate the softer side of life; this is the day. From here on out the Cardinal Grand Cross will begin to lighten as Mars and Jupiter move along their way! That does not mean an end to the intensification. Uranus and Pluto will continue to work away at each other!
But it does mean we have reached the peak and now we can begin to make sense out of where we find ourselves. And where do you find yourself? Are you clear on where these weeks have brought you? What has changed internally and externally in your life? We are on a different path. Do not try to go back; the old way of life is no longer viable.

Friday, April 25, 2014:

The Moon is in Pisces all day on Friday bringing us a softly gentle emotional day. We begin with a Trine between Venus and Saturn helping us to stabilize the intensification of what has been swirling around through our lives over these past weeks. Venus Trine Saturn offers a stable quiet beauty. Focus on stabilizing your relationships, consider, strengthen, and clarify your internal values, your finances, and your love relationships. By the end of the day the Sun and Mercury conjunct a 5° Taurus; we seek stability as we ache for peace, graciousness, and solid ground. The Moon’s last Aspect while in Pisces is a Conjunction to Venus at 4:03 PM EDT. Following this the Moon is happily VOC until she enters Aries early tomorrow morning. We are offered the potential of a soft evening of harmony and pleasure. Rest with music, poetry, a glass of wine; the ocean or another body of water may call. Allow love to soften the edges of your heart.

Saturday, April 26, 2014:

The Moon enters Aries early Saturday morning, making no major aspects throughout the day. Ah. What can we expect from such a day? Mercury Sextiles  Neptune early this afternoon. This is a day made for declarations of love and beauty; writing poetry or making music. Our conversations or our thinking are filled with idealism, hope for the future, possibly delusion or soft imagination. Get out of town. Go on an adventure. Let go.

Sunday, April 27, 2014:

Sunday the Aries Moon taps all the planets in the Cardinal Grand Cross! On an emotional level we may feel edgy, irritable, and we very likely feel a powerful need to take strong action on some situation. Observe carefully what you are creating for your future. Take note of what we talked about at the beginning of this week. Remember: the three most important things at this time are: be aware of your surroundings (outside yourself and within yourself), work on increasing your level of self-care/ self-friendliness, and offer deep heartfelt kindness to others. Keep working with this. We will be ready to accept where we find ourselves before we know it!

* In these weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
