STABILITY & DREAMS
Monday, April 17, 2017:
Monday morning should find you feeling strong and capable as you begin the week. The powerful Aries Sun is invigorated and stabilized by a flowing trine aspect to steadfast Saturn at 8:43 AM EDT. Get up, get out, and start the day with a smile on your face and a kind word for those you meet!
In early December, a cycle began of creating something solid to support personal growth and stability. What began in your life at that time? In mid-March, you likely made an effort to support the ongoing growth of that cycle. Now, you should be able to see the full expression ahead. This expression is not here yet but you can clearly see whether the best decisions were made on this path.
Now is the time to make any necessary adjustments to prepare for the full revelation of the cycle which will be expressed or exposed in mid-June.
The Moon is in Capricorn throughout the day, quietly supporting your serious endeavors.
At 9:55 PM EDT, with a sextile to Neptune, the emotional Moon takes on a softer side. Settle in with music, poetry, or a movie that will engage your compassionate or inspirational nature. Sleep early and enjoy your dreams.

EFFORT & SELF-DISCIPLINE
Tuesday, April 18, 2017:
The Moon continues through responsible Capricorn on Tuesday. Try not to lose touch with Monday’s gift of stability and determination. Tuesday is a trickier day to manage. The Moon engages directly with power struggles & coercion (Pluto), anxiety (Uranus), and potentially, an overblown ego (Jupiter). Do not neglect your meditation on Tuesday!
Before you get nervous about this, please remember that these are Moon transits that pass quickly and will cause no difficulty unless you engage with them through fear or defensiveness. Allow any interpersonal difficulties or challenges to roll off your back. Don’t take the bait and don’t offer it either!
The Moon connects with Jupiter early in the morning, and with mighty Pluto at 9:59 AM EDT. The Moon also forms a challenging square aspect to Uranus at 8:32 PM EDT.
Mid-morning and late evening will likely be sensitive times. Do not allow yourself to be sucked into difficulties, and be sure you are not pulling others into hard situations as well.
This is a day to keep your nose to the grindstone, move a serious agenda forward, and offer kindness to others. They will be grateful and you will benefit. Utilize this as a serious day of effort and self-discipline.

TIME OF BLOSSOMING
Wednesday, April 19, 2017:

Wednesday is a very busy day. Before you are even out of bed, we have reached the Third Quarter Moon which encourages you to release what is no longer working in your life. Bring some items to Goodwill; clean out your closet, let go of something you thought was important that you see no longer serves you.
At 6:52 AM EDT, the Moon enters altruistic Aquarius encouraging you to open your mind to a new perspective as you move into the new season at hand.
Here in northern Vermont, Spring has finally landed with certainty. There is growth and blossoming everywhere! The life force of the Sun enters Taurus, the fixed sign of stabilization at 5:27 PM EDT!
Now, it is time to get that garden planted! Enjoy and observe with reverence the full expression of this season of increase! Over the coming month, there will be much to celebrate with the flowers blooming, the sound of peepers, and the baby lambs in the fields. Allow yourself to feel the opening of your heart into this season of growth.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:57 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 6:52 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

COURAGE & MISTAKES
Thursday, April 20, 2017:
In the earliest hours of Thursday morning, while you still slept, Mercury’s retrograde motion brings him back into contact with the steadfast Taurus Sun. This will assist in your adjustment between seasons and will help you to maintain practicality.
However, common sense may falter as Mercury proceeds backward into hot-blooded Aries at 1:37 PM EDT. You are likely to notice your thinking becoming decisive and forceful.
You are now able to locate the courage you need to take action on something you have struggled with over the past few weeks. What is it you need to say that has been difficult? Mercury will remain in Aries (until turning direct on May 3rd).
Pay attention to the difference between assertiveness and aggression, certainty and assault. Say what must be sad with kindness and compassion.
It often takes deep courage to admit to your mistakes and it is likely that is a necessary part of the conversation you must have. We all make mistakes, take responsibility and move forward with determination and love.

DEEP LONGING
Friday, April 21, 2017:
Friday is not a simple day! First, you will feel the shift as Mars, the planet of direct initiative and dynamic action, leaves Taurus where he has been for the past six weeks. Mars is thrilled to leave behind the slow, earthy energy of Taurus to enter Gemini where he has more freedom to engage in curiosity and enthusiastic action.
Mars will remain in Gemini until June 4, 2017.
The real challenge of Friday comes when exquisite Venus forms a challenging square aspect to reliable Saturn at 7:08 AM EDT. This energy will remain with you throughout the day and suggests a time of questioning your values, intimate relationships, beauty, and your financial stability.
Think back to the beginning of this cycle in late October 2016. Were you beginning a new intimacy or a new relationship with your finances at that time? Contemplate what effort you need to take now that will let yourself, others, and the Universe know how serious you are in the development of your deepest longings.
This transit often leaves us feeling a bit melancholy and sad. Allow yourself to rest and understand that going inward is part of what is necessary.
At 3:43 PM EDT, the Moon enters Pisces bringing you to a sensitive, dreamy Friday evening. If you attempt to go to a party or other social event, you may have a disappointing evening. Stay home, spend time alone or with intimate loved ones. Rest.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:23 PM EDT until she enters Pisces at 3:43 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DREAMY  AND IMPRESSIONABLE
Saturday, April 22, 2017:
Saturday brings us to a very simple day. If you can avoid having expectations of yourself and others, this can be a lovely day.
The impressionable, dreamy Pisces Moon lazily drifts through the day. The only aspect throughout the day is when the Moon connects with mystical Neptune at 3:57 PM EDT.
You may choose to fall asleep on the couch and wonder where the day went when you awaken hours later; you may want nothing more than to dream or create inspired works of art. Deepen your meditation practice or simply release your solid hold on reality and allow yourself to dream.
Be cautious with alcohol or other substances as you may be more sensitive to them than normal. Enjoy this time of sensitivity and rest.

CONTINUED SENSITIVITY
Sunday, April 23, 2017:
Sunday continues with much the same illusive sensitivity as Saturday. If you were able to rest on Saturday, make contact with others in a gentle compassionate manner today. Again, do not have high expectations; simply rest in the company of friends or loved ones.
If you were not able to rest on Saturday, focus on self-care, rest, and sensitive inspiration.
At 8:33 PM EDT, the Moon leaves placid Pisces behind and enters courageous Aries with dynamic determination. After such a quiet weekend, it may be hard to sleep as the impulsive, and sometimes combative, Aries Moon wakes you from your slumber.
You will feel ready to head into a new week with gusto when Monday morning comes.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:35 PM EDT until she enters Aries at 8:33 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
