Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather

Monday, January 7, 2019:
Monday begins with the Moon now in unusual quirky Aquarius. After a serious and likely solitary weekend, you are ready to engage with others to get things done. Seek out people who have a different perspective on what you want to accomplish. You can learn so much by looking outside of your normal way of viewing the world.
Bring as many people as possible together to share in your new ideas and listen to the ideas they are willing to share.
However, the big news comes at 6:17 AM EST when Venus enters expansive optimistic Sagittarius. Remember that Venus represents our personal values and perspective on Love, relationship, and resources. Due to last year’s retrogradeVenus has spent a tremendous amount of time in Libra and Scorpio over the past year. What have you learned about the deepest layers of Love and the diplomacy required to navigate these issues? Now as Venus moves freely into Sagittarius we are able to open our eyes to a more positive, hopeful, and expansive view regarding Love, money, beauty, and resources. You may find yourself offering yourself more freely and ready to say Yes to Love.

The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course very briefly while you sleep, from 1:21 AM EST until she enters Aquarius at 1:46 AM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Tuesday, January 8, 2019:
Last week Mercury (the planet that represents thought processes and communications) entered the serious sign of Capricorn; now it comes to a challenging square aspect to Mars (the planet of action and assertion. Mars has recently entered aggressive Aries. Don’t be surprised to find yourself feeling somewhat frustrated with your thinking or your communications.
On the one hand, you want to think things through carefully and methodically before you speak and yet there is an insistence that you take quick assertive action. Forgive yourself if you say something too quickly or if you miss the opportunity to say what you could have said. By the same token, forgive anyone who says something that offends you or who doesn’t say what you would like to hear.
With the Moon’s movement through objective Aquarius along with Mars being so active in Aries, you may communication difficulties in your intimate relationships. Be quick to forgive. Do not take it personally. Perhaps there has been a bit too much sweetness between you and now you each need to pull away a bit. Widen your interest, look for a more expansive or humanitarian perspective. It may not come easily but do think things through before you open your mouth.
This would be a good day to write or plan a speech to share new or unusual ideas.
Wednesday, January 9, 2019:
If you offended anyone or were offended yesterday, do what you need to do in order to release resentments that may linger. Apologize, let it go and move on with the day. At 11:53 AM EST as the Aquarius Moon sextile unpredictable Uranus pay attention to any unusual ideas or conversations that occur. Welcome unexpected occurrences, thoughts, or conversations.

At 2:44 PM EST the Moon enters Pisces leaving you feeling passive and perhaps even sleepy. Go home early and take a nap. Don’t worry about any accomplishment. This evening is best spent on your meditation cushion, or engrossed in your imagination, with a glass of wine, listening to music, or watching a good movie. Let your practical concerns go and enjoy your own open space of private consciousness.
Consider how you think about suffering. Where in your life have you suffered? Has it left you stuck in self-pity or has it moved you to feel deep compassion for others? Pisces understands deep human suffering and its place in the development of compassion. Therefore when the Moon is in Pisces we can more readily touch that understanding.

The Aquarius Moon is void-of-course from 11:53 AM EST until she enters Pisces at 2:44 PM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Thursday, January 10, 2019:
The Moon passes through Pisces forming a lovely aspect to support your dreams and inner growth. You will not have much interested in work or accomplishment. You may even feel the need to rest or dream the day away. Pisces is a Mutable Water sign offering passive, adaptable, but deeply emotional energies. This is a good day for meditation, spending time on water, allowing yourself to be engrossed in imagination, watching movies, creating art, or making music. The Moon in dreamy Pisces is a mixed blessing. If you have to accomplish things that require determination or fortitude you will not be delighted with this Moon placement. However, if you are an artist, a dreamer, or a poet at heart you will welcome another day in this gentle space. While the Moon is in Pisces we all feel softer, more adaptable, sensitive, and vulnerable than usual. Remember this as you interact with others. They may put on a brave face but underneath they are deeply aware of their human susceptibilities. Show compassion and kindness to everyone you encounter.
Friday, January 11, 2019:
This is the power day of the week. Once a year the Sun joins with Pluto asking each of us how formidable we are at our core. Engage with your deepest strength of willpower as you answer this question. What do you want to create? How much determination can you access without tipping into greed? This aspect represents the beginning of a one year cycle of bringing deep empowerment to your life purpose. Are your goals and plans in place? Revisit them and make sure they are held on solid ground. Beware of greed and ego battles that no one will really win.
With the Moon still in Pisces in the midst of this display of power you may just want to release everything, rest, and take a nap. Plant a seed to empower yourself in the house of Capricorn and then go for a swim or take a nap.

The Pisces Moon is void-of-course from 9:25 AM EST until she enters Aries in the wee hours of Saturday morning. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino

Saturday, January 12, 2019:
In the early hours of the morning, the Moon enters assertive Aries and joins with Mars before the day is done. This sets us up for a highly active weekend. Don’t stay home in your PJs.
Get out into the world and make some noise. This is a good weekend for facing your fears and engaging courage. When the Moon is in Aries, it is time to take on a challenge, be competitive, take a risk, prove something to yourself. You may be impulsive and not have the level of caution needed for some of the wild endeavors you are drawn to. If you do engage in risky activities, please keep your safety top of mind.
This is not a time for empathy or romance, don’t buy the roses or chocolates. Go straight for passion.

The Pisces Moon is void-of-course until she enters Aries at 3:18 AM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact, I suspect you’ll be sleeping anyway!

Sunday, January 13, 2019:
Mercury joins with Saturn bringing us a day of serious focused thinking and conversations. With the Moon in Aries, try not to let aggression derail the good that can come from your communications. Slow down your mind and give your words space to breath before speaking them. This is a great day for writing because you can go back and edit the places where inconsiderate Aries may rush to judgment.
One of the signature aspects of 2019 comes into full focus now with Jupiter Square Neptune and will be exact once again in June and September. Consider what these two planets individually represent. Neptune represents what is intangible, teaching us to dream, imagine, suffer and release. Jupiter, on the other hand, represents expansion, enthusiasm, idealism, and excess. I expect we will see an increase in delusional thinking and conspiracy theories over the coming months. Allow yourself to dream but do your best to keep a handle on reality. Given that this is a closing square perhaps we will see the dissolution of idealistic thinking, leaving many confused and adrift. Watch how this plays out for you and the world at large. Look to the houses in your chart that hold Pisces and Sagittarius for more personal information. Something expands in the house that holds Sagittarius as something pushes to dissolve it from the house that holds Pisces. Share your thoughts on how you see this playing out in your life. A consultation with Astrolore will help clarify.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
