Last week as the Moon moved through the signs of Cancer, Leo, and Virgo we were likely to be emotionally focused inward, with the inclusion of others.
This week we bring our focus into the world and into relation with others. As the Moon moves through the signs of Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius we encounter the ‘Other’. We will do well to contemplate the impact others have on our lives, and the impact we have on the lives of others.
This is a highly significant week as the Sun leaves the altruistic, humanitarian sign of Aquarius and moves inward to the deep emotional waters of Pisces.
Yes! The Sun enters Pisces on Tuesday afternoon. Say goodbye to the sparkles of sudden brilliance of Aquarius and greet the deep intuition of Pisces. This week has an overdose of Pisces energy as the Sun joins with Neptune as well. Pay attention to your intuition, while being aware that things may well not be as they seem!
Monday, February 17, 2014:
The week begins with the moon VOC* in Virgo. The final aspect to the Moon being a Sextile to Saturn shortly after midnight on Sunday night. You will likely begin Monday morning with a strong sense of having a great deal to accomplish and yet not quite feeling able to get out of our own way to accomplish it. Allow that to be okay. It will be a good morning for research and organization.
When the Moon enters Libra at 1:23 PM EST, ending the VOC period, the day lightens up. We feel more able to connect with and enjoy those around us. Whatever the situations you encounter, you can see both sides of the coin, and are able to step forward to offer a diplomatic outlook and balanced assistance to others.

Tuesday is the day that begins the Month with The Sun in Pisces! Prepare for a time of soft contact with another realm of mystical understanding.
In the morning The Moon Opposes Uranus and later in the day she Squares Pluto. This is a day of extremes. We feel the need to pull ourselves out of whatever places in our lives we feel stuck. We may feel frustration with the fact that we are stuck at all. This will be a great day to work with patience.
At 12:59 PM EST The Sun leaves Aquarius and heads into the soft, spacious, mystical waters of Pisces. You may miss the shark, sharp, brilliance of Aquarius; and yet, you also understand the need to step forth into the mystical, dreamy land of Pisces. This will make the agitation of Uranus Square Pluto a bit easier to contend with. For the next month you will have the opportunity to work with intuition, imagination, and spirituality.
Imagine yourself laying on the bottom of a small boat, rocked by gentle waves, looking into the depth of the night sky. Allow yourself to float. Feel the energy of Pisces.
Wednesday, February 19, 2014:
Mercury, being retrograde in Aquarius, Squares Saturn very early on Wednesday morning. You may wake up with the thought that there is some commitment that you need to make. You are being asked repeatedly, due to the retrograde, to make some sort of a commitment or to take something in your life more seriously. Look to the place of 23degrees Aquarius and 23degrees Scorpio; where do those points fall in your chart? What are you being asked to commit to?
At 4:51 PM EST The Moon goes VOC* following a Conjunction to Mars in Libra. Pay attention to your level of internal agitation or aggression. An extra meditation session may be the best thing to do before you prepare your evening meal!
The Moon enters Scorpio at 10:33 PM EST, ending the VOC* period and offering us an emotionally intense encounter before bed time. If you head to bed alone or avoid that intensity, you most likely will encounter it in your dreams!

Thursday is a deeply emotional and deeply private day. What was the commitment you were being asked to make yesterday? Is there something involved with that commitment that is weighing heavily on your mind? Are you ready to make that commitment? Is it being pushed upon you? Is it something you know you need to do and yet don’t want to or are resisting?
Let the stress go. Allow yourself the freedom of simply opening to the sensitivity of your imagination and indecision. You are not yet seeing the full picture. Keep your mind open and your heart open. If this is, in fact, the right commitment for you, there will be an inspired and intangible shift. Wait for it.

Here we are a few days into The Sun in Pisces! This is not an easy adjustment! The intensity of these few days reflects the change from the unconventional detachment of Aquarius to the empathy and sensitivity of Pisces. It is a profound shift.
Do not underestimate the amount of adjustment it takes to move from the brilliant intellectual energy of Aquarius to this incredibly imaginative, mystical, spiritual energy we have entered.
For today work on enjoying the depth of Water, emotion, inspiration, and sensitivity. Look into your own individual dark emotional corners this evening; possibly the ones that involve that commitment issue.
The Moon is in Scorpio all day going VOC* at 5:10 PM EST following a Conjunction to Saturn. Once again you are being asked to look at your personal issues of responsibility, authority, and discipline.

Yay! Saturday morning we wake up to an easier and lighter emotional environment! Before we get up this morning The Moon has entered Sagittarius, uplifting our energy considerably. The Moon reaches her Third-Quarter Cycle at 3° Sagittarius at 12:15 PM EST. This is a great Saturday evening to spend in public enjoying social connections.
I remember a cartoon about Sagittarius coming to a cross road where s/he had to choose between seeking enlightenment or going to a party. This very well may reflect your choice for the weekend! Do you reach for new awareness, for an expanded understanding of yourself, and your place in the world; or do you head out to enjoy a party, expanding your social connections and fun? Whichever you choose, make it a conscious choice and Enjoy!! If there is no pleasure or expansion involved, you have probably not made the right choice!

Sunday begins a New Cycle between The Sun and Neptune. This brings your attention to your spirituality and your connection with that which is mystical in your life; that which is unseen. This is not the time to make firm decisions about practical realities. This is a time to explore new spiritual directions, new imaginative projects, and new ways to explore the world beyond the realms of solid reality or ordinary existence.
Because this is a Cycle of the Sun, it is approximately a One Year Cycle. In order for one Cycle to begin the previous one must end. The Cycle ending now began on February 21, 2013. What began in your life at that time has now come to an end. The New Cycle begins! This Cycle involves something intangible: Spirituality, Imagination, Inspiration, something Elusive and hard to put your finger on!
The Moon is in Sagittarius all day. Explore exotic ideas and cultures, contemplate travel, and new explorations of the mind.

* In my weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*

*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
