Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather

September 30, 2019, through October 6, 2019

The time between the New Moon (Saturday, September 28th) and the Full Moon (October 13th) is a time of opening, expanding, and growing awareness. These times each month are good for beginning new projects, new connections, new understanding, and new ways of thinking and being.

It is clear what has begun moving forward in US politics since Saturn turned direct on September 18th. Regardless of which side of the cultural divide you are on, the movement is clear.
This week Pluto, the planet of power, coercion, and obsession, also turns direct after being retrograde since late April 2019.*
Both Saturn and Pluto are moving through Capricorn, the sign of business, government, and the patriarchy. These are very slow-moving planets. Saturn has been in Capricorn since late December 2017, Pluto since 2008.
Think about what this could portend as we move toward the conjunction of these two planets (structure meets power) in January 2020. The US government and the US cultural divide are tied together on a collision track.
Hope requires a commitment to transformation. We must bring ourselves and our leaders back to honor, integrity, kindness, and love.
Regarding your personal life, look to the house that holds Capricorn. This house is the same area of your life we talked about last week when Saturn turned direct. If you see a collision coming, make sure you are building integrity and love in this area. It may not be easy but this work is what you need to commit to, THE MOST important thing.
*It is interesting to note that both Saturn and Pluto had been retrograde since late April 2019. It brings up questions about what exactly went underground at that time.
The last time Saturn and Pluto joined together was in late 1982, before that 1947, before that 1915. Look to the circumstances of big power during those years for hints of recurring themes.

Please keep in mind that your personal transits can override these more universal ones. A personal consultation offers deep understanding.

Monday, September 30, 2019

Today’s Moon requires that you face your life direction with passion and intensity. With the Moon in Scorpio, the general theme of the day is to dig below the surface. Now is the time to follow lines of intensity to understand the power and control hidden beneath the surface. It is important to avoid manipulation and suspicion in the pursuit of truth. Find a balance point between digging too deeply into dark corners and avoiding those corners altogether. Your emotions are powerful today and can lead you to passionate encounters.
At 2:55 PM EDT, the Moon opposes Uranus, perhaps bringing emotional upset and turmoil. Avoid engaging your automatic impulsive reactions to allow this upset to pass quickly. Don’t make important decisions this afternoon as you are easily distracted by shiny things that call to you. Do allow yourself to see a new perspective. Engage your curiosity about something you believe is a ‘given’. Allow yourself to step into the shoes of someone you don’t agree with. Show respect and unconditional kindness.
The Libra Moon is void-of-course until she enters Scorpio at 5:42 AM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.

Tuesday, October 1, 2019

The Scorpio Moon continues to push your emotions into the exploration of hidden depths. This intensity may feel powerful and compelling or brooding and darkly reflective. Today is not a light-hearted day. What do you want to get to the bottom of? Consider that as you dig beneath the surface.
It is more than the Moon placement that brings this depth and intensity. Venus in Libra is pushing against the power of Pluto with a difficult square aspect today. Personal values of cooperation and love challenge the powers that be. You can feel it in the air. Something must be released now in order to begin a healthy cycle of empowered Love in mid-December.
In today’s aspect, along with Saturn and Pluto’s upcoming conjunction, I see the face of Greta Thunberg. Significantly, Greta has Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Capricorn.
How and where in your life are you standing for love, cooperation, and interdependence against forces of power and greed? Notice how this theme is playing out all around you. Commit to making the world a better place with kindness and connection.

Wednesday, October 2, 2019

A bit of the intensity of yesterday may linger, but generally, you can expect today to be lighter and easier than yesterday. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 7:45 AM just in time to bring an optimistic and positive vibe to the day.
In contrast to the past few days, you will look outside of yourself to expand your view of the world by experiencing or learning something new.
Gather a few friends and look for an adventure that will take you outside your normal routines. Go in search of a good time; bring humor and spontaneity along.
The Scorpio Moon is void-of-course from 5:47 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 7:45 AM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.

Thursday, October 3, 2019

Tiny, powerful Pluto turns direct today after being retrograde since late April. This is as intense as it sounds and there is much to consider.
The impact will be powerful if you have personal planets between 19 – 22 degrees of Cardinal signs. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. If this is the case, contact me or another experienced authentic astrologer for a consultation.
From a global and cultural perspective, the importance here is profound. We are officially taking the final steps to the major Saturn- Pluto conjunction we have been waiting for. This conjunction is exact on January 13, 2020. There will be no more hesitation, delay, postponement, or deferment. We are heading to the brink of what has been building. This is a remarkable time in history. The last time there was a conjunction between Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn was in 1518 (no, that is not a typo.) An interesting historical fact from that year is that the African slave trade began. Here we have come full circle as we face the rampant systemic racism that plagues our culture and subordinates so many of our friends and neighbors. Have we learned enough since 1518 to expunge the muck surrounding that stain on humanity? Don’t turn away, this is a personal job for each of us.
Watch for personal and collective secrets to be revealed and unspoken desires to rise to the surface.
Adding to this intensity, Mercury enters Scorpio today. This aspect supports your ability and willingness to look into the dark basement of your own heart as well as the darkness in society. Secrets are being exposed. Mercury will remain in Scorpio until December 9th due to a retrograde cycle which keeps it in one sign (Scorpio) longer than usual.
If you have secrets of your own, particularly if they involve the house that Capricorn holds in your chart, it is best to bring them to the light yourself. Do not wait for an unplanned revelation that will likely occur in early 2020.

Mars, the planet of action and force, entered Libra, the sign of diplomacy. This sounds like an awkward combination and it is. When Mars is in Libra we may try to use charm to go after what requires a sledgehammer. We may become so busy trying to respond to both sides of an issue that we are unable to have much of an impact on anything. It will be best to take full responsibility for your actions as you balance your needs with the needs of others. Practice honesty and directness even in the face of being seen as less than ‘nice’. Mars remains in Libra until November 19th.
Do your best to approach others with honesty.  Staunchly avoid the tendency toward passive-aggressiveness, the negative expression of this Mars placement.
At 1:44 PM EDT, the Moon enters Capricorn. This shift is likely to focus your attention on the more serious aspects of your life. Your career, finance, and success goals come to the forefront of your attention. You can take important steps forward in the service of those goals. Today is not a friendly or emotional day but one from which you can squeeze a great deal of accomplishment.
The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course from 3:34 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 1:44 PM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.

Saturday, October 5, 2019

This weekend is a serious one, not a time that you’ll be interested in parties or social activities. If there is a weekend for work, this is it. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are heading into the cold season. This is a great weekend to focus on preparations for winter. Complete the work in your garden to settle it down for the coming year. Cut down perennials and pull up annuals. Rake the lawn. Indoors there is plenty to do as well. Seal any drafts, service your furnace, clean out your gutters, and store your deck furniture. At the end of the day, you will feel great about all that you have accomplished.
At 12:48 PM EDT, the Moon reaches its First Quarter Phase. This phase of the Moon implies both difficulties and opportunities. Pay attention to interpersonal issues that arise and find the opportunity within that. Now is a time when your choices and decisions will move your life in one direction or another.
Consider the seed you planted on September 28th at the Libra New Moon. Take an action today in support of moving the desire of that seed forward. If you planted a seed of Love for the New Moon, work with your partner as you build or support your life together. As you clean out the garden, begin the plan for the garden you will plant next year. Bring great pleasure to work and effort.

Sunday, October 6, 2019

The Moon continues through Capricorn, offering another day for the work you began yesterday. If you stick to your efforts you will start next week feeling satisfied with your accomplishments. Achievement and manifestation of success are what motivates you today. You are resourceful and want to use every minute and all your energy to accomplish your goals.
This may not be a particularly joyful or fun day but it can be extremely productive.
You are more aware than usual of the passage of time and the reality of its limits. Focus on practical undertakings with long term success in mind. Determine to focus on your most realistic goals today.
Shortly before midnight, the Moon enters Aquarius. You will be starting the work-week with the energy of innovation and excitement.
The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course from 7:26 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 11:43 PM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
