Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: October 21, 2019, through October 27, 2019
Please keep in mind that your personal transits can override these more universal ones. A personal consultation will provide deep understanding.
ROSE COLORED GLASSES
Monday, October 21, 2019
The week begins with the Moon in nurturing and sensitive Cancer. Make a nice breakfast for your household this morning or heat up muffins for everyone to grab on the way out the door. Don’t underestimate how loved folks feel if you feed them when the Moon is in Cancer.
The Third Quarter Moon Phase is exact this morning at 8:40 AM EDT. The First and the Third Quarter Moon Phases occur when the Sun and Moon are in a challenging square aspect to each other. The First Quarter Phase comes between the New Moon and the Full Moon. The Third Quarter Moon comes between the Full Moon and the New Moon. Both of these Phases require that you make a decision that will be important to your future.
Consider the difficulties and opportunities that are presented today. Choose the direction you take with integrity and kindness and you will move in the right direction.
At 12:29 PM EDT, the Moon enters Leo and you can put the sensitivities and the tissues away. The Leo Moon will encourage you to express the most colorful side of your personality dramatically.
At 3:39 PM EDT, lovely Venus trines dreamy Neptune. This transit is a sweet one that will open your heart to beautiful daydreams of romance and fantasies. You feel tender and compassionate and see the best in everyone. You may not, however, see reality too clearly. But it is a Trine, after all, so enjoy the simplicity and beauty of your fantasy.
The Cancer Moon is void-of-course from 8:40 AM EDT until she enters Leo at 12:29 PM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.
DISPLAY GENEROSITY
Tuesday, October 22, 2019
Tomorrow the Sun enters Scorpio ushering us into the darkest phase of the year. Take advantage of the last day with the Sun in Libra by considering who will be by your side as you enter this time of seclusion. I suspect that Libra season comes before the Scorpio season so we are less likely to go into the darkness alone.
With the Moon in Leo, let your most childlike expression out to play. Look for inspiration that will encourage warmth, generosity, and open-hearted self-expression. Put the grandness of your personality on full display.
Leo is a very personal sign, and when the Moon is here, expect folks to take things very personally. It is easy to offend or be offended, so give others a pass and be especially complementary in all encounters.
Give and receive recognition, be generous in your undertakings, play with children, play dress-up, and be creative. Now is not the time to hide your light under a bushel.
SUN ENTERS SCORPIO – A DEEP DIVE
Wednesday, October 23, 2019
Today we come to a powerful seasonal shift as the Sun enters Scorpio bringing us fully into autumn. Mercury and Venus have paved the way, and Mercury will spend its entire retrograde (October 31 – November 20) in Scorpio. This transit suggests a deeper intensity than usual in this Scorpio Season.
My mind turns to early evening darkness, driving on roads littered with spiraling leaves with a murder of crows gathering overhead. Leaves crunch underfoot, warm flannel sheets are on the bed, and soup simmers on the stove. I love this time of year and yet know many who have a profound distaste for it.
Scorpio is a sign of extremes, of power that digs deep to find what is hidden below. During this time, we are not interested in making things look good and have no patience with what is superficial. We want power and intensification.
Look to the house that holds Scorpio in your chart to understand what is highlighted in your own life.
The Moon enters Virgo at 3:29 PM EDT, offering the perfect evening to get flannel sheets on the bed and start a pot of soup simmering on the stove.
The Leo Moon is void-of-course from 5:14 AM EDT until she enters Virgo at 3:29 PM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.
KEEP KINDNESS IN MIND
Thursday, October 24, 2019
It generally takes us a few days to adjust when the Sun changes sign. Acknowledge and honor your adjustment. It isn’t always easy as we follow the Sun into the darkness of Scorpio.
Today, with the Moon in Virgo, it is a good day to pay attention to that shift. Virgo likes us to be rather quiet as we pay attention to whatever details present themselves for our consideration.
As you go about the tasks and chores of your day, give thought to the broader issues and deep emotions that are bubbling up.
You will find those issues reflected in whatever house Scorpio holds in your chart.
Today is a great day to focus on organization and finding ways to be of helpful service to others. Pay attention to your habits and prepare to develop healthier ones. Offer a helping hand to others without asking to be in the spotlight for doing so. Emotional gratification comes by helping others from a place of humility.
During the Virgo Moon, you can fall into a trap of being critical of yourself and others, so please remember to be kind.
INFUSE YOUR LIFE WITH LOVE
Friday, October 25, 2019
Today should be a day of pleasure. The Moon continues through practical service-oriented Virgo until she enters Libra this evening.
A lovely sextile aspect from Venus, the planet of love and beauty, to Pluto, the planet of empowerment, profoundly impacts the day and into the evening. This transit suggests that opportunities for powerful love are waiting on the sidelines.
Sextile aspects are positive, like trines, but with one crucial difference. A trine is a gift; there is nothing we have to do to claim it. A sextile is an opportunity; you have to keep your eyes open and be available. Venus sextile Pluto can present you with a new love or the opportunity to deepen an existing one.
Alternatively, this transit can refer to your creativity or your finances. Keep your eyes open for a new love interest, friendship, creative ideas, or financial opportunities. The key is noticing when the opportunity arrives. Pay attention to people or circumstances that engage your curiosity. Follow up on clues that fall in your path like bread crumbs.
The Moon enters pleasure-seeking Libra at 4:20 PM EDT. With the Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in Libra, under the influence of Venus sextile Pluto, you may have a highly successful romantic encounter this evening. Don’t waste your time on an encounter that is lukewarm or superficial. Infuse your connection with love and heat.
The Virgo Moon is void-of-course from 9:00 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 4:20 PM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.
GIVE EACH OTHER A PASS
Saturday, October 26, 2019
The weekend begins with everyone playing nice and trying not to rock the boat. You may start the day believing that you can manage any issues that arise with diplomacy and tact.
By mid-afternoon, when the Moon joins with Mars and forms a square to Saturn, you are not sure that diplomacy is going to do the trick. You may feel angry or frustrated but not know how to deal with these feelings. Don’t go the passive-aggressive route. Do your best to speak with clarity and face the circumstances at hand.
Ask a friend or partner to share in a creative venture this evening. Cook or create something beautiful together.
No one is perfect. We all make mistakes, so please, give each other a pass. If you squint your eyes the tiniest amount, you may be able to see the beauty in the difficulty. Try that tonight. Do what you can to bring balance and kindness to the situation. Lovely background music won’t hurt.
SCORPIO NEW MOON – PLANT A SEED OF DEEP TRUTH
Sunday, October 27, 2019
The Libra Moon would dearly like to make nice and keep everyone happy, but there are complications today that make that an arduous undertaking.
At 10:30 AM EDT, Mars, who is already uncomfortable in Libra, makes a challenging square aspect to Saturn. This transit can bring frustrations, aggravations, limitations, and anger. One of the problems with this set-up is that you may not know how to release the anger because Mars in Libra feels unable to push directly as he would typically. You may think that someone has you under their thumb, and you are not able to fight back.
Your best approach is to hold steady and don’t try to get more. Be satisfied with what you do have. Find a project that requires a physical effort of the slow and steady kind. Don’t go for a run; instead climb a steep mountain, slowly and steadily. Plod forward with patience and doggedness.
At 4:29 PM EDT, the Moon enters Scorpio, bringing your emotions to deep levels of passion and empowerment. The Scorpio New Moon occurs at 11:38 PM EDT. I include the Scorpio New Moon Ritual here but best to wait until tomorrow afternoon. Give the Moon time to gain some distance from the heat of the Sun before commencing with the ritual.
~Scorpio New Moon Ritual ~
Take a moment to write down the changes you wish to begin, create, or increase in this Moon Cycle. The Scorpio New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of deep passion, introspection, truth, and trust. To get to the bottom of an issue, peer into the dark corners of your own heart.
Have two candles available. Light the first to represent your situation as it currently stands. Light the second candle as inspiration for the shift you crave during this cycle. Take a moment to focus as you light each candle. Imagine drawing your desire toward you as you physically bring the two candles closer together.
Do this each day for two weeks. At the Full Moon, you will bring the candles fully together as you acknowledge what has changed and will continue over the coming months.
Keep in mind that the energy you infuse into this cycle will continue over the next six months until the Scorpio Full Moon in May 2020.
The Libra Moon is void-of-course from 4:21 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 4:29 PM EDT. This condition suggests that what occurs during this time will not have a significant impact.
* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
