Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: April 1, 2019, through April 7, 2019

“The more one is consciously in touch with one’s own life, the more astrology offers- not sensational surprises or a way of manipulating fate- But rather a means of clarifying the stages of self-development which we should welcome and use as opportunities for personal transformation. – Stephen Arroyo

Monday, April 1, 2019:
Whatever ideas you engaged with over the weekend are likely to stay with you for the early part of the morning. Any new experiences or thought patterns will continue to hover around the edges of your mind. At 10:49 AM ET when the Moon enters Pisces your attention shifts from aloof intellectualizing to a place of sensitivity and compassion. You may not feel much like working, preferring to escape the harsh real-world in favor of losing yourself in imagination or mystical concerns.
If your work involves creativity or empathy toward others you’ll accomplish what you need to, otherwise, you may end up doing a fair share of daydreaming. Go easy on your coworkers with the understanding that their minds are not solidly engaged with real-world efforts any more than yours are. Allow time throughout the day to meditate or dream.

The Aquarius Moon is void-of-course until she enters Pisces at 10:49 AM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Tuesday, April 2, 2019:
If you have a traditional job you are unquestionably expected to be productive each and every day you are scheduled for work. As the Moon passes through Pisces for several days each month this isn’t easy to do as you are quite prone to daydreaming and possibly feeling quite sleepy.
This can be a challenging time to follow the strict routine set out in your daily planner and to hold yourself to a time clock. Do your best to allow your intuition to set the tone and pace of the day.
Given that your boss and coworkers are also impacted by this, it may be easier than you expect. Watch them for signs that they are also struggling to stay on task.
On your lunch break be sure to get outside and deeply breath the Spring air. Perhaps you could ask a struggling coworker to join you. Exercise your personal muscles of compassion and empathy.
Wednesday, April 3, 2019:
As the Moon continues through the Mutable Water sign of Pisces, she spends the majority of the day making no aspects to other planets. You can anticipate a quiet day of receptivity and calm in your environment.
We are currently in the Dark of the Moon (the New Moon comes in two days), the Moon is VOC*, and the Moon in Pisces which is the last sign of the Zodiac. Everything points to closure and rest. The sign of Pisces is ruled by ethereal Neptune which blurs and dissolves the boundaries between ourselves and others. At this time you are able to deeply feel the reality of profound connection and understanding that we are all connected. Allow yourself to rest in the quiet, sensitive, emotional sense that we are all One.
Don’t worry too much about accomplishments, take time to nap, daydream, love, meditate or pray.
At 10:15 PM ET the Moon enters Aries and it is time to shake off the sleepy dreamy vibes of the past few days. Going for a night run or making love before bed will help you sleep.

The Pisces Moon is void-of-course from 11:35 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 10:57 PM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Thursday, April 4, 2019:
At the Dark of the Moon (New Moon on Friday at 4:51 AM ET) with the Moon now in Aries this is a good time to deeply contemplate issues of courage and determination. Look to the house that holds Aries in your chart to understand the area of your life that you need to face with independence and fearlessness. At the New Moon, this is where you will plant your seed of growth and change. For now, maintain an attitude of consideration. Even though you may be tempted to do so, please don’t allow yourself to take action too quickly. Courage may be required to hold back your tendency toward rash and reckless action.
Rest in reflection and consideration; action will come soon enough.
Friday, April 5, 2019:
The Aries New Moon occurs at 4:51 AM ET. Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac and represents dynamic beginnings and new assertions, each New Moon represents a new beginning as well, therefore this is a time to plant a seed to begin the entire process of the coming astrological year. Where do you need an influx of energetic assertion and bravery? Where do you need to act alone to bring a new reality into focus? Consider performing this New Moon Ritual anytime within the next 24 – 36 hours. If you know your rising sign, use the ideas below as a jumping off place to determine what you need to bring forth and how best to begin. Please share your ideas and experiences.
~~New Moon Ritual ~~
Take a moment to write down the changes you wish to begin, create, or increase in this Moon Cycle. The Aries New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of determination, fearlessness, and independence.
Have two candles available. Light a candle to represent yourself, as you are at this moment. Light another candle as inspiration for what you intend to create. Take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle. Then, light the second candle, imagining drawing toward you what you want to create as you physically bring the two candles closer together.
Do this each day for two weeks until the Libra Full Moon (April 19th) when you will bring the candles fully together and acknowledge the result of what you have created.
If you know your rising sign (Ascendant) consider the seed that you need to plant in your life.
If you have:

  • Aries Rising, plant a seed of Personal Awareness through Self Expression (get a haircut or change your outward expression)
  • Taurus Rising, plant a seed of Self Transcendence through Selfless Service (visit someone in a hospital or retirement home)
  • Gemini Rising, plant a seed of Receptivity within Community (find a new community that will offer support)
  • Cancer Rising, plant a seed of Integrity through Social Recognition (show up in a more responsible way in your job)
  • Leo Rising, plant a seed of Mind Expansion by elevating your World View (travel or study something that will open your mind)
  • Virgo Rising, plant a seed of Transformation by Understanding the Values of Others (Listen to those who are unlike you)
  • Libra Rising, plant a seed of Cooperation through Partnerships (take action to deepen your connection with a partner)
  • Scorpio Rising, plant a seed of Self Improvement by prioritizing your Routines (start a new exercise, dietary, or spiritual practice)
  • Sagittarius Rising, plant a seed of Generosity through the Expression of Creativity (join an art class or start a new creative project)
  • Capricorn Rising, plant a seed of Security through stabilizing your Home & Foundation (clean your home, plan or plant a garden)
  • Aquarius Rising, plant a seed of Mental Engagement within your Immediate Environment (write a letter, connect with a sibling)
  • Pisces Rising, plant a seed of Self Love through Understanding your Deep Worth (give yourself a very special gift)

Saturday, April 6, 2019:
When the Moon enters Taurus at 9:07 AM ET it is time to begin the day. Other than a bit of excitement or anxiety due to the conversation the Moon has with Uranus at 12:08 PM ET, this is a day when you will be motivated by the need for comfort and security. You want to slow down and enjoy the sensual experience of your body and the natural world. This is a day to relax, “stop and smell the roses”, and don’t allow yourself to fall into a trap of materialism. It would be a good idea to avoid shopping altogether, instead take a walk in the woods. At the end of the day, you will feel much better with memories of the trees singing to you rather than paying for that new wardrobe.
Feed your senses in every way imaginable. Focus on all that you see, hear, taste, touch, and smell. Create pleasure for all your senses and engage in them with deep reverence. Really taste what you eat, and notice the smells you create as you cook that comfort food. Make it a point to fully feel what you touch, listen to music with your ears open fully, and look at that sunset as though it is the last one you will ever see!
Share a wonderful meal with your partner, family, or a close friend. Enjoy a low key evening of comfort and warmth.

The Aries Moon is void-of-course until she enters Taurus at 9:07 AM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Sunday, April 7, 2019:
In mid-January Mercury began its current cycle with Saturn, a cycle of bringing your intellectual understanding to a project you are attempting to bring to fruition. Did you start a new study or project at that time? Over the course of the two and a half months since then, you have alternated between curiosity and aggravation about how to move forward with this project or study.
Early this morning (Mercury sextile Saturn) pay attention, you may finally recognize the opportunity that you may have missed several times. There is still no action that needs to be taken, just begin research and preparations. The time to take action will be here soon enough, just at the very beginning of May.
The Moon remains in Taurus suggesting a low key and pleasant day. Enjoy a beautiful environment. Even if the rest of the house is a mess, make the bed, clear off the table, bring flowers into the dining room and bedroom. Rest and find calm clear beauty and pleasure.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances.” ~ Dane Rudhyar “Astrological Aspects – a Process Oriented Approach” 1980

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
