Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: May 20, 2019, through May 26, 2019

A recent note from a client:
Thank you, my consultation with you was just wonderful yesterday! I pondered it for the rest of the day. It helped me gain valuable insight into myself and gain a fresh perspective on my life and where it is headed. It felt like a powerful alternative therapy session. Alternative and mystical practices have been discouraged most of life. For a long time, I just accepted it. When I was 10 years old, my mother and I were in a bookstore and I asked her to buy me a book about my sun sign, Taurus. She said “yes” but followed it up with a very real talk about how “that stuff just isn’t real”. I was always curious but never brave enough to dive in until my life recently changed so dramatically. Thank you again! I can’t wait to talk with you about my son’s chart!  ~ K. from Texas

Monday, May 20, 2019:
If you love your job, you will be excited to start the week and get back to work.
If however, your job does not reflect your true values you may want to take the day off to explore new ideas, new places, and new experiences.
Today’s Sagittarius Moon joins with Jupiter at 1:05 PM EDT. Together they offer to expand something within your heart. What house does Sagittarius hold in your personal natal chart? Understanding this will give you a good idea of the area of your life that seeks expansion. All else being equal, this is a great evening to connect with future ideas and future friends. I was going to say strangers but let’s think of those strangers as your future comrades. Choose to spend time with people who will change and enlarge your understanding and world-view.

The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course after 1:05 PM EDT until she enters Capricorn on Tuesday morning. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Tuesday, May 21, 2019:
When you awake this morning you will notice a significant shift has taken place. The Moon has entered serious authoritative Capricorn in the wee hours of the morning, but that is not the important piece! At 3:59 AM EDT the Sun leaves sensual Taurus behind to move into inquisitive, changeable Gemini. Mercury follows suit at 6:51 AM EDT. Now we are officially in Gemini Season. At this time the Season of Spring enters her final stage, ushering us toward the Summer Solstice (when the Sun enters Cancer on June 21) which is only a month away.
At 9:06 AM EDT Mercury joins with the Sun. This is the superior conjunction between Mercury and the Sun, being the midpoint of the full Sun & Mercury cycle which began on March 14th when the two joined together during Mercury’s retrograde. This is an important time to breath life into something that you began at that time. Mercury loves being in Gemini. Folks around you probably have much to say.
The Capricorn Moon will help keep our more immature impulses in check, which is likely a good idea.
During Gemini season we tend to be more social and curious. We are motivated by knowledge and intellectual understanding. You may notice life itself speeding up as your mind moves quicker than usual. Over the coming month, you may need to sharpen your skills of adaptation. Your mind is open to learning and you are very aware of details changing rapidly around you. If you find yourself feeling anxious, nervous, or simply scattered, consider beginning a meditation practice to help quiet that busy mind.

The Sagittarius Moon is void-of-course until she enters Capricorn at 3:57 AM EDT. Most likely you will sleep through this one. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Wednesday, May 22, 2019:
Pay attention to situations that come to your awareness today, certain things that occur may be more important than you may expect. At 10:46 AM EDT Mars the planet of action forms an aspect of opportunity to Uranus the planet of innovation and individuality. Keep a lookout for unexpected actions from others and the desire for defiant actions of your own. You are likely to notice a powerful urge for freedom and little patience for being held down by the expectations of others.
Spending time on your own is probably a good plan. With the Moon in Capricorn perhaps you can use your personal innovations and defiant ideas to support your business-related ambitions.
When the Moon is in Capricorn it is good to keep the focus on what supports those personal work aspirations and objectives.

The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course from 11:58 PM EDT (haha! 2 minutes of today) until she enters Aquarius on Thursday At 1:50 PM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Thursday, May 23, 2019:
The morning begins with the Moon still pushing you in the direction of serious lone accomplishment. Get those solo efforts done early in the day. At 1:50 PM EDT, as the Moon enters Aquarius it will be far more advantageous to work with a unique group of innovative folks whose vision aligns with your own.
At 6:49 PM EDT the Aquarius Moon forms a lovely flowing trine aspect to the Gemini Sun. This is a great evening for fun engaging conversations regarding topics that may at other time seem off limits. You are able to speak and listen with curiosity rather than judgment. Go ahead and bring up a topic that is dear to your heart that you have hesitated to bring with a partner or friend.
Show your curiosity toward others, ask questions that you have been hesitant to ask. This is a great evening to share thoughts and viewpoints.
If you are scheduled to perform that TedTalk this evening, your performance will be dynamite. If there are topics that have been challenging to bring up with your partner or friend, download some TedTalks about that topic and suggest watching them together. Great conversations will emerge. If your friend is not open to the conversation you will be quite objective about that as well. Engagement in intellect is key.

The Capricorn Moon is void-of-course this morning until she enters Aquarius at 1:50 PM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Friday, May 24, 2019:
The Moon is in innovative, unconventional Aquarius throughout the day. If you are involved in working with a team you will get far more accomplished than if you need to work alone. Seek out people who have an inclusive innovative style to the work that they do.
This is not a day for close emotional connections. You will be happiest spending time alone or with casual friends/ acquaintances. Give your partner space and freedom and let them know that you require that today as well.
Your humanitarian interests seem more relevant than your personal interests. It is all a matter of perspective.
Spend the day in social interactions, allow rebellious and spontaneous thoughts and conversations to emerge. Break out of any routines or ruts that hold you back. Bad habits can be broken most easily under the influence of the objective Aquarius Moon.
Work for the betterment of all humanity rather than for the self and intimate loved ones.

“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino

Saturday, May 25, 2019:
Reach outside of your own thinking and look for what is unusual, interesting, and unique about those around you. Is there someone in your social group that you know little to nothing about? Invite that person out for coffee and find out what makes them tick. Go to a community talk about a social issue you know little about. Allow yourself to learn something that will spark concern and understanding. Share your own unique thoughts and beliefs with someone who shows an interest. This is not a day to hide or to be preoccupied with your own view.
You may feel a bit like an alien in your own social communities but that is no reason to not seek appreciation of what you have not understood in the past. Indeed, you are a unique person in your own right, but that doesn’t make the person beside you any less so. Find our where the commonalities are between you and where the differences are. Seek a bridge to understanding and deep respect.
The Moon remains very quiet in Aquarius all day.

The Aquarius Moon is void-of-course from 8:52 AM EDT until she enters Pisces on Sunday at 2:07 AM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Sunday, May 26, 2019:
I always like seeing the Moon in Pisces on a Sunday. I think of these days as the perfect time to release high expectations, allow yourself to dream, write a poem, listen to music, watch movies, meditate, or simply rest all day.
With the Moon in the Mutable Water sign of Pisces, you are able to tap into your deepest sensitivities through retreating inward and allowing your imagination and inner guidance to move you.
At 12:34 PM we encounter the Last Quarter Moon phase which brings a bit of a challenge to the day. This is a square aspect between the Gemini Sun and the Pisces Moon, suggesting that it is time to seek a new direction. You are able to do this now through going inward, exploring your intuitions, dreams, and internal meditations.
If you are not spending the day alone, share a movie, music, poetry, a nap. Allow sensitivity to rule the day.

The Aquarius Moon is void-of-course until she enters Pisces at 2:07 AM EDT. You will likely sleep through this one. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstance” ~ Dane Rudhyar

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
