Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: April 15, 2019, through April 21, 2019

“Each planet in the birth-chart is a letter of the cosmic word sounded forth through space at the moment of our first inhalation…  A basic factor in natal astrology is the pattern made between the planets. Each planet represents a fundamental mode of activity: that is, an organic function, psychological as well as biological. The aspects between the planets describe the manner in which they interact, reinforcing or weakening each other, revealing a smooth type of cooperation between functional activities or indicating organic, psychosomatic tensions. The general distribution of the planets within the zodiac — whether, for instance, they are clustered within a small section of the zodiac or spread out more or less evenly through the sky — tells us a great deal about the meaning of this celestial word which constitutes the real name of the individual person.” ~Dane Rudhyar

Monday, April 15, 2019:
The week begins with the moon in practical efficient Virgo making it a relatively easy day to get back to your day-job without resentment. You may even welcome the opportunity to return to an orderly schedule with clear tasks to be done. You will find mundane detail-oriented assignments to be surprisingly satisfying.
During the evening hours Venus, the planet of beauty and pleasure forms a square aspect to optimistic Jupiter, leaving you susceptible to overextension of your energies. Pay attention to where the tendency to excess will show up for you. If you feel an irresistible urge to indulge, do so in an area that you won’t regret later. If you are going to eat that entire quart of ice cream do so without shame, own it! If you know you will regret it later, think about something else to indulge in. Schedule a massage or spend the entire evening engaged in giving and receiving pleasure.

The Leo Moon is void-of-course until she enters Virgo at 6:13 AM EST. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Tuesday, April 16, 2019:
You can anticipate a relatively quiet day as the Moon passes through service-oriented Virgo. While the Moon is in Virgo, you are able to watch yourself closely, analyzing and aware of every detail that seems to not meet the exacting standards you aspire to. Your expectations of yourself and others may be higher than usual and you carefully and critically observe progress and processes. Do your best to curb the tendency to be critical. As much as possible replace criticism with understanding and kindness. Find simple ways to be of service to others. Focus on observing, respecting, and releasing judgment as you make yourself available to help others in practical ways. This is a good day for practical activities. You may want to do your grocery shopping, laundry, and house cleaning. Work on projects that will benefit from paying particular attention to details.
Wednesday, April 17, 2019:
By the time the day begins Mercury, the planet that represents our thought processes and communications has moved into Aries where it will remain until May 6th. You may be surprised by the heat and quickness of your thinking and how easily you are able to make decisions that have beleaguered you over the past few months (since February 10th). Mercury has been in Pisces for so long we have grown accustomed to living in a bit of an uncertain mental fog. The fog has now cleared and your decisions and actions will come much easier and quicker over the coming weeks. Assertiveness and confidence is on the rise, watch yourself and others to see this in action. We are ready to speak our minds although the Libra Moon will keep us from being too direct about it for a few more days.
The Moon enters Libra at 7:23 AM EDT supporting diplomacy and understanding. As an air sign, Libra’s fundamental need is to create pleasant and charming social interactions. Seek to engage with others in a manner that provides cooperation, diplomacy, and compromise. Put cooperation and refinement ahead of other considerations. The heat of certain communications will wait and build in understanding over the next few days.

The Virgo Moon is void-of-course from 12:30 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 7:23 AM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Thursday, April 18, 2019:
The Moon gently flows through charming, pleasant Libra throughout the day. Because Libra represents issues of relationship and beauty it is easy to think of it as an emotionally loving sign. This is not the purpose of Libra! Libra is an Air sign and seeks a fundamentally intellectual charm and understanding the balance of polarities through relationships. What we want at this time is companionship, friendships, social alliances, and intimate gatherings in order to intellectually understand ourselves more deeply. We want to engage with others in ways that teach us cooperation, diplomacy, and compromise.
Under this influence enjoy social and cultural activities, and connecting with others. Because Libra teaches compromise it may not be easy to take a stand, be decisive, or speak up for yourself. You don’t need to, there is always another day to be decisive and outwardly assertive.
Because Mercury is now in Aries you may be champing at the bit to directly speak your mind. You will be able to do that shortly after the Full Moon Friday morning when the Moon enters Scorpio. For now, you will be better off waiting; while you wait surround yourself with beauty.
Friday, April 19, 2019:
Everyone seems to be aware that we all go a little crazy (hopefully in a good way) at the Full Moon each month. When I was young and worked in an institutional setting with highly unstable clients we always scheduled extra staff at the Full Moon. Those extra folks were always needed as even our most compliant clients would do what they could to escape. What did they see about their lives and situations that wasn’t an issue except at these times of full awareness?
At the Full phase, the Moon is in the exact opposite position from the Sun and reflects the full amount of light that she can absorb. We see what we normally cannot see. Light fills ordinarily dark corners. Make it a serious practice to pay attention to any new found awareness that comes at the New Moon.
The last Full Moon on March 20th was also in Libra (generally speaking we have only one Full Moon in each sign in any given year). I think this simply gives us another opportunity to clearly observe ourselves regarding the issues of Libra, particularly in the area of your life represented by the house Libra occupies in your natal chart. Examine your current satisfaction in close relationships. Consider issues of understanding and compromise. Ask yourself: is yours a true partnership of equals?
Shortly after the Full Moon, she leaves Libra behind to enter Scorpio allowing newfound awareness to transform your understanding of your circumstances. Open your eyes. Anticipate seeing something you have not seen before. This Scorpio Moon wants you to bring what is hidden into the light, to be excavated, and brought forth for healing.

The Libra Moon is void-of-course from 7:13 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 8:41 AM EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Saturday, April 20, 2019:
This is a day of significant change as the Sun leaves impulsive Aries behind to bring its light and warmth to steadfast Taurus for the coming month. Happy Birthday to all of you born during Taurus Season.
While the Sun is in Taurus we are motivated by our senses and are highly aware of the natural world during this season of growth here in the Northern Hemisphere. Plants are sending their roots deep into the earth just as our determination and loyalty to the process of growth and development is taking root as well.
A bit later in the day, Venus (ruler of Taurus) finds her way out of passive Pisces into forceful, assertive Aries. Now that all the personal planets have left Pisces behind you may feel as though you are waking from a dream and finally seeing the open road ahead.
With the Moon still in Scorpio throughout the day, it is important that you have a concentrated area of attention. A clear focus will help with any disorientation as the planets shift sign. This is not a time for lighthearted connections, connect with others from a place of depth and passion.

The Scorpio Moon is void-of-course after 11:59 PM EDT. (haha! For ONE minute!) This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

Sunday, April 21, 2019:
During the morning with the Moon in Scorpio, you may find yourself inclined to examine the deeper (even the darker) side of life and love. Consider issues of deep passion, determination, and powerful transformative change. Spend the morning going quietly inward toward these contemplations.
At noontime, things lighten up considerably as the Moon enters Sagittarius. Now you will find yourself inclined to let loose and search for fun. Let go of all the deep contemplations of the past few days and look for enjoyable explorations.

This is a time to cultivate understanding, humor, and wisdom. Ask questions and get curious about the way that others think, stretch your mind beyond previously limited views, and expand your awareness.

The Scorpio Moon is void-of-course until she enters Sagittarius at 12 noon EDT. This condition merely suggests that whatever is begun or occurs during this time will not have a significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
