KEEP CALM AND UNRUFFLED

Monday, February 5, 2018:

When you went to sleep on Sunday night, you may have anticipated beginning the week with diplomacy and calm. However, although the Moon continues her path through charming, social Libra, even she has her limits.

With an early-morning struggle against power hungry Pluto and a mid-afternoon challenge with defiant Uranus, Monday’s story will have elements of the bizarre and the unconventional. Watch for power plays and anti-establishment rhetoric.

This will be a good day to practice maintaining a steady level of internal peace and harmony. Remain unflustered and unruffled even as you keep your eyes wide open to your environment and those around you.

At 10:57 PM EST, the Moon enters the deep, intensely private waters of Scorpio. Head to bed, this is a wonderful night for passion between the sheets and, if that is not forthcoming, seek passion and intrigue in a deeply intense dream state.

The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:45 PM EST until she enters Scorpio at 10:57 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

UNEXPECTED POSSIBILITIES

Tuesday, February 6, 2018:

Tuesday is a very different day from Monday! First off, with the Moon now in Scorpio, it is less important to you that you please others. Your focus is more on internal depth and intensity. When the Moon is in Scorpio, we can oftentimes become brooding and secretive. However, as the day turns into evening, you may be surprised by unexpected connections or shifting relationship values reflected in a sextile aspect from Venus to Uranus.

Think back to early June of 2017 when the cycle between Venus and Uranus began. Did you meet someone at that time that has remained a part of your life or did you begin the development of a creative project? This is a cycle of waking up to new understanding, a new view of your deepest values, seeing what is real beneath the surface of love, resources, or beauty.

At this time, it is important to explore what you have learned since the beginning of the Venus and Uranus cycle. It is time to prepare to release and begin the next new cycle in late March of this year.

If you meet someone during the first few days of this week that opens your eyes with curiosity, understand that they may have something important to teach you regarding love or beauty. Don’t walk away. This meeting may provide an opportunity that will take root in March.

ALLOW PARADOX

Wednesday, February 7, 2018:

Wednesday morning brings us to the First Quarter Lunar Phase, a challenging square aspect between the Aquarius Sun and the Scorpio Moon. This suggests a choice between going into deep emotional spaces (Scorpio) or staying in the intellectually stimulating but emotionally detached coolness of Aquarius.

Feeling pulled in these two directions may be uncomfortable but your job is to find the balance and allow each to be expressed. Allowing paradox to exist in your heart, mind, and life expression is key to a full and joyful life. This morning offers time to practice.

However, at 1:15 PM EST, when the deeply private Scorpio Moon forms a sextile to empowered Pluto, there is value in moving into areas of depth and mysterious intensity.

At 4:57 PM EST, the Moon joins with expansive Jupiter, beginning a cycle of expanding your understanding of emotion through deep introspection and passion. Go deep or go home.

SEEKING WISDOM

Thursday, February 8, 2018:

At 8:54 AM EST, the Moon enters Sagittarius, a mutable Fire Sign. Fire brings great energy, determination, and the ability to move forward; the mutable part of the sign allows for change and adaptability.

With the Moon in Sagittarius, you want to understand more than you have understood in the past. This shows you are ready to expand your ability to see a larger view of your life, your culture, and your world. You may be drawn to explorations of other cultures and how other people think, believe, and live. You find yourself on an adventure, exploring your higher levels of understanding as you develop wisdom.

Thursday also brings us to Uranus moving beyond a 5° orb of its square to Pluto. These two ‘big kids’ on the playing field have been dancing around with this challenging square aspect between them since 2009. The conversations they have engaged in have had a powerful impact on the world culture.

Together, Uranus and Pluto speak of revolution, upheaval and profound change. We are ready to turn a corner on that conversation and begin to truly assimilate the shift in the greater world as well as our personal lives. Let’s see how that works out.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:17 AM EST until she enters Sagittarius at 8:54 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CONSIDER A ROAD TRIP

Friday, February 9, 2018:

The Moon continues through Sagittarius on Friday, increasing your anticipation of the weekend. Your thoughts race forward; go ahead and plan an adventure for Friday evening and through Saturday! Please allow those plans to land you home for a more serious day on Sunday.

When the Moon squares Neptune at 11:04 AM EST, you may find yourself at a low point in the day. Clear thinking will not be available, so take a meditation break or go for a walk. Allow yourself space to be unproductive and trust it to pass.

At 3:33 PM EST, with the Moon now forming a sextile aspect to Mercury, mental clarity returns and you are able to get much more done that if you tried to power through the earlier part of the day.

Enjoy an adventure on Friday evening. Spend time with folks who are outside of your normal social circle. Learn about perspectives that are unlike your own. Go on a road trip or at least travel in your heart and mind.

ALLOW THE INCREASE OF LOVE

Saturday, February 10, 2018:

The Moon spends most of the day still in lighthearted, idealistic Sagittarius. At 11:38 AM EST, with the Moon forming a trine aspect to defiant, inspirational Uranus, this will be a lovely morning for brunch with friends. Meet with friends who will engage you in interesting, expansive conversations about thoughts and ideas. Don’t spend time with folks who gossip or bring you down.

If your love connections have felt a bit cool or more intellectual than heartfelt, Saturday will change that. At 6:19 PM EST, Venus enters the soft, compassionate, and deeply sensitive sign of Pisces, where she will remain until March 6th. This is a great time for romance, although not great for starting relationships as you may not get a realistic view of the person in question.

A square aspect from the quirky Aquarius Sun to Jupiter in Scorpio at 6:20 PM EST should serve to alert you to pay attention to your tendency to overextend yourself.

Remember, that self-care is paramount and overextending yourself to please others will not serve you. A cycle of expansion that began in late October 2017 requires attention now. What action can you take to support what began then? Take action to increase your understanding and belief of who you are in this world, on this planet, in this universe. Send unconditional love to all.

If you were hoping for an exciting Saturday night, you may want to reassess your expectations. The Moon enters serious, levelheaded, determined Capricorn at 9:21 PM EST. Saturday evening will be a good time to engage in conversations regarding the serious structures and foundations you want to build to support your plans for the future.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 11:38 AM EST until she enters Capricorn at 9:21 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SOLITARY ACCOMPLISHMENT

Sunday, February 11, 2018:

Sunday brings us to quiet but serious day. At 9:17 AM EST, the hard-working Capricorn Moon joins with Saturn (the planet that rules Capricorn).

This is not a day to laze around the house to watch movies or read novels, it is not a day to go out and have boisterous fun with friends. This is a day to engage in a project that will leave you feeling accomplished at the end of the day.

Is there a house project you have been putting off? Is there something you want to build for future use? You will enjoy the project best if it is a solitary endeavor, not a shared experience. Spend time alone.

At the end of the day, look at what you have accomplished and give yourself a pat on the back before ending the week.

AN ORIGINAL VIEW

Monday, July 24, 2017:

A very interesting Monday follows on the heels of Sunday’s powerful Leo New Moon. Go back and check Sunday’s post for suggestions on performing a New Moon ritual. You still have time to do the ritual anytime on Monday.

Along with the brand new, expressive Leo Moon, Monday offers two significant transits. At 10:53 AM EDT, Venus, the planet of love and beauty, goes head-to-head with Saturn, the planet of responsibility, maturity, and limitations. The end of October of 2016 began this Venus and Saturn cycle of stabilizing personal values that now comes to full illumination.

Pay attention to how you form structures and boundaries in your love relationships and your management of money and resources. This may not be easy. If there is a struggle, you know it is time to shift your perspective. If you are not acting with integrity and are not based in reality, this will be a wakeup call that maybe likely unpleasant.

However, it may be easy to let that difficulty go under the radar if the other transit of the day impacts your chart more strongly.

At 12:32 PM EDT, Mercury, the planet of our thinking and communicating mind, forms a lovely trine aspect to eccentric Uranus. This is a simple and powerful demand. Wake up!

Expect unexpected news, communications, or epiphanies that are tied in to the relationship resources focus of the Saturn transit. These two transits will work together.  You may feel great anxiety or great excitement. Keep your ears and eyes open and be ready to experience a highly original view.

ANALYTICAL PRECISION TAKES A STAND

Tuesday, July 25, 2017:

By the time you are up and moving on Tuesday, the Moon has entered industrious, orderly Virgo. As long as you have work to do or a project at hand, it will be a productive and efficient day from the start.

As we are adjusting to Mars and the Sun being in creative, expressive Leo, Mercury leaves Leo behind to enter into modest Virgo. Mercury is very much at home in Virgo and happy to leave the heat of Leo for the cool calm of this Mutable Earth sign.

In Virgo, Mercury reminds us that the Sun is never very far from Mercury and will not remain in the dramatic sign of Leo for too long. Summertime certainly passes quickly and the Sun will follow into Virgo in less than four weeks. It is important to enjoy the heat, vitality, and great, playful energies while they are available.

Mercury, the planet of our thinking and communications, leaves drama behind in Leo and becomes more practical and concerned with others in Virgo. Mercury will remain in this analytical sign until he enters Libra at the end of September. Take advantage of this time to get precise, efficient work done. This is perfect for getting the nitpicky, detailed paperwork done that you have not wanted to complete.

The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) for a very brief period of time from 5:22 AM EDT until she enters Virgo at 6:33 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

VITALITY AND STRENGTH

Wednesday, July 26, 2017:

Campanil Ascendiendo by Eugenio Cruz Vargas via Wiki Commons

Wednesday is a powerful day! The day begins with a razor sharp ability to use our power in an efficient manner as the Moon forms a beautiful trine aspect to powerful Pluto at 1:27 PM EDT.

At 8:50 PM EDT, when the Moon forms of challenging square to Saturn, we may wonder if we pushed too hard and may have the tendency to be overly critical.

However, the real action builds throughout the day to its climax at 8:56 PM EDT with a conjunction from the all-powerful Sun to assertive Mars. This is the beginning of a one-year cycle of illumination of strength, self-determination, and physical energy. You can think of this as similar to a New Moon, involving the Sun and Mars rather than the Sun and Moon. Think of it as the time to plant a seed of personal strength and perseverance toward a long-held goal.

Because the Sun and Mars are in Leo, you will want to incorporate self-expression or leadership as a part of this goal. If you have personal planets (your Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars) or your Ascendant or Mid-Heaven between 2° and 6° of any fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius), you will probably feel a great abundance of internal or physical energy. Find a way to use it with kindness.

If you notice yourself feeling frustration or anger, go out for a run or move direct physical energy through your body in some powerful manner. Sexual expression is a great use of this vital strength. Learning to manage your inner warrior or goddess without selfishness is essential at this time.

SOOTHE THOSE RUFFLED FEATHERS

Thursday, July 27, 2017:

The early morning hours may feel a bit unsettled on Thursday. Take it in stride without question. At 11:36 AM EDT, the Moon enters graceful Libra and directs our attention to diplomatic cooperation and social decorum. We feel more tolerant of others and more interested in presenting ourselves in a more amicable, sympathetic light.

Late Thursday evening, the gentle, cordial Libra Moon forms soothing sextile aspects to both the Leo Sun and Mars and encourages the smoothing of any ruffled feathers that may have occurred on Wednesday. Allow yourself to be soothed, calmed, and softened. There is no reason to carry a grudge and it would be difficult to do so under this influence.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:31 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 11:36 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*. there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

GO BENEATH THE SURFACE

Friday, July 28, 2017:

The Moon continues through harmonious, thoughtful Libra throughout the day on Friday. Your attention is on creating beauty, balance, and cooperation. This will work out well for most of the day.

However, at 6:35 PM EDT, the Libra Moon joins with idealistic Jupiter. With this transit, you may be so busy trying to make things look good on the outside that you hardly notice what is going on beneath the surface.

Take the time to look beneath the carpet and to honestly see what is hidden below. Is your life as you present it? Or are you, like so many, trying to make everything look pretty in the eyes of other people? Think about how easy it is to make your life look beautiful without acknowledging the everyday ups and downs.

At 8:38 PM EDT, when the Moon forms a challenging square to Pluto, get real with yourself and show your deepest vulnerabilities to those you love. Don’t plaster those vulnerabilities all over Facebook but do get real with yourself and those who need to truly know you. <3

ENDING ON A NOTE OF DEEP CONNECTION

Saturday, July 29, 2017:

All in all, you can expect a pleasant day on Saturday as the Moon continues through social, romantic Libra. The Libra Moon is encouraging you to create beauty and express love and appreciation in all your close friendships and intimate partnerships.

At 4:25 PM EDT, the Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to Venus encouraging feelings and expressions of love, abundance, and gratitude.

However, an hour later, you may need to take a break and spend some time alone. At 5:30 PM EDT, the graceful Moon forms a difficult opposition to unsettling Uranus. Pay attention to how you express yourself and the words that you use. Give a lot of slack to what others may say or how they say it.

You may say something you didn’t mean to say and upset the equilibrium of the day or maybe someone says something to you with the same effect. Apologize or accept the other person’s apology and move on. Don’t get stuck in anger or get your back up against the wall. Remember, this is a Moon transit and will pass quickly if you don’t engage with it.

At 8:23 PM EDT, the Moon enters Scorpio asking that our relationships go to a deeper, more intense, profound, and emotional level. This is an excellent night to go very deep with a highly trusted loved one, express your vulnerabilities, and hold your heart open to those that are closest to you.

The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:30 PM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 8:23 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

A SPARK OF CURIOSITY AND A SERIOUS DECISION

Sunday, July 30, 2017:

Sunday begins with a delightful sextile aspect from relationship-oriented Venus to unconventional Uranus. When Venus and Uranus began their cycle at the very beginning of June, their cycle’s purpose was to learn how to incorporate individuality and bring your own unique stamp to intimate relationships and resources. At the sextile aspect on Sunday, pay attention to ideas and conversations that spark curiosity and highlight possibilities in this direction.

Midmorning will bring a challenging square aspect from the introspective Scorpio Moon to the expressive Leo Sun and Mars. Something feels uncomfortable and you need to take an action or make a decision that will direct your path forward.

Take your time in the considerations and make these decisions consciously and carefully. Consider the seed you planted at the New Moon on July 23rd; do what must be done now to assist in the healthy growth of that aspiration.

The day ends on a sensitive note as the Moon forms a sweet, romantic trine aspect to dreamy Neptune at 11:30 PM EDT. Sleep uninterrupted and travel in your dreams.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: December 19, 2016 through December 25, 2016

You can anticipate a busy week ahead. Of course, you don’t need astrology to tell you that! If you celebrate any of the holidays surrounding this winter season, you will likely have a very long to-do list that you are working hard to manage.

Sen Ljubezni by Ivan Grohar via Wiki Commons

Sen Ljubezni by Ivan Grohar via Wiki Commons

Monday brings us to the beginning of another three-week Mercury retrograde. Get to work right away making a list of everything that has been left undone over the past few months. Over the next three weeks, you can get a lot accomplished if you stick to working from that list!

Mars changes sign on Monday moving from unique, eccentric Aquarius into mystical, sensitive Pisces. Remember, that Mars represents your ability to take action. Mars is not delighted to be in Pisces, although artists, poets, and mystics can move forward delightfully at this time.

On Wednesday, we come to the Winter Solstice, when the Sun leaves the fun of Sagittarius behind to enter the serious, cautious ground of Capricorn.

The Winter Solstice, which occurs when the Earth’s axial tilt is farthest away from the sun, lasts only an instant in time (December 21, 2016 at 5:44 AM EST), and occurs on the shortest day and longest night of the year. The Sun’s daily maximum position in the sky is at the lowest point in the year at this time as well. The seasonal significance of the Winter Solstice is in the reversal of the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days. The light will return.

Are you up against a difficult decision, or are you questioning your current life, love, or career direction?

An astrological consultation with Astrolore or Jennie will clearly show you the larger picture at play, the universal directional path.

We are both taking new clients and would love to meet with you.

4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde!

When Mercury turns retrograde, everywhere I turn someone will ask (with trepidation and a touch of fear in their eyes) is Mercury turning retrograde AGAIN??

There is so much unnecessary fear and misinformation around Mercury’s retrograde cycles.

I am going to keep these instructions very simple!

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!

I know that it is easier said than done, but please forget all the terrible things you have heard about Mercury retrograde! There are no astrological conditions that we need to block from ourselves in fear! We simply need to pay attention to the best use of certain times and Mercury retrograde is one of them.

I honestly LOVE Mercury’s retrograde cycle! I feel like I can finally catch up with all the things that have been left undone since the last retrograde cycle!

After years of watching and working with Mercury’s retrograde cycles, I have come to love these brief periods scattered throughout the year. I feel that they are a gift. We simply must know how to use them!

  1. Get a notebook and a pen – Make a list of everything that you have begun but NOT completed in the past few months.

Start with a clean sheet of paper, quiet your mind, and think back over the past few months. On September 22, 2016, Mercury turned direct at 14° Virgo. Since then, he has zipped along through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and into Capricorn at 15° where he is now turning retrograde.

Think about what you have been doing since late September. Look through your calendar, your notebooks, your bills, wherever you will find reminders of everything that you have been thinking about and working on since then. Now, carefully make a list of all the things that you have begun but not completed. Dig deep; there are probably more things than you are aware of.

What about that appointment you have been meaning to make? The project that you tucked into a drawer because you couldn’t find the time to complete it? Moreover, we all have communications that have fallen through the cracks, unanswered emails, texts, and phone calls!

  1. Get to work! Accomplish what is on this list! Only what is on this list!

Once you have the list made up, it is easy to follow the perfect plan for approximately the next three weeks (Mercury turns direct once again on January 8, 2017).

Get to work, accomplish the things on this list; nothing more, nothing less. That is the whole trick of dealing with Mercury retrograde. Stick with this list!

Our lives are so busy; we zip from one project to another, from one communication to another. We never seem to have the time to slow down and carefully complete the tasks that we have begun.

Mercury retrograde brings us a gift of time to wrap up all those loose ends!

  1. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs!

This is the time for clean up only. Don’t move forward until Mercury turns direct.

If you follow these simple steps, you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish during these periods!

Good Luck and Get to Work!

WORKING WITH MERCURY RETROGRADE

Monday, December 19, 2016:

In the wee hours of Monday morning, Mars, the planet that represents assertive action, enters Pisces, the most passive of the signs. Mars will remain in Pisces until January 27th.  During this time, your usual self-confidence and ability to take action may feel that it has been turned upside down. Rather than courageously pushing forward, you may find yourself slowing down, stepping back and attempting to ‘feel’ your way forward. Pay attention to your dreams and intuitions.

At 5:55 AM EST, Mercury stations retrograde at 15° Capricorn; between the softening of your assertiveness (Mars in Pisces) and the somewhat skewed logical thinking of Mercury retrograde, you may feel a bit lost as you adapt to this new territory. Mercury will remain retrograde until January 8th.

The Moon in Virgo supports practical considerations and encourages you to improve your circumstances by reaching for your potential.

4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde!

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!
  2. Get a notebook and a pen. Make a list of everything that you have begun but NOT completed in the past few months.
  3. Get to work! Accomplish what is on this list! Only what is on this list!
  4. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs!

Mercury retrograde brings us the gift of time to wrap up loose ends!

PARADOX AND COMPLEXITY

Tuesday, December 20, 2016:

On Tuesday, you will continue adjusting to the more passive nature of Mars in Pisces and the more inward mental work of Mercury retrograde. Both of these require considerable adjustment. Take time to absorb and understand the change and the challenge. Slow down your actions and your thinking.

At 8:56 PM EST, the Virgo Moon squares the Sagittarius Sun (Third Quarter Square) suggesting that your internal and external realities seem to be working against each other. On one hand, you may be feeling free and idealistic, and yet, somewhat critical and nitpicky. It is important that you allow contradictions and paradox to exist side-by-side without trying to change either side of the equation.

At 9:39 PM EST, the Moon enters Libra, settling your expectations as you seek equanimity, calm, and a diplomatic sense of your connection to others.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:56 PM EST until she enters Libra at 9:39 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS CAPRICORN – SERIOUSNESS & INTEGRITY

The Innocent Swan by Elizabeth Sonrel via Wiki Commons

The Innocent Swan by Elizabeth Sonrel via Wiki Commons

Wednesday, December 21, 2016:

The Sun’s movement into Capricorn heralds the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. We encounter late dawn and early sunsets. Meanwhile, the Southern Hemisphere has its longest day and shortest night.

Over the coming weeks, you will see the days get longer; celebrate the return of the light.

As the Sun moves into Capricorn, we enter the most serious time of the year. This is the time to focus on developing maturity and taking seriously our responsibilities and commitments. Capricorn insists that we seek accomplishment; it is important to spend time in solitude to explore and understand how closely you have aligned your life with your highest beliefs and integrity.

The upcoming month is not a time for frivolous activities; focus on accomplishment in order to create your most stable, satisfying future.

WATCH FOR OVEREXTENDING YOURSELF

Thursday, December 22, 2016:

If you have shopping still to do for your holiday celebration, be practical in your spending. With Jupiter joining with the Libra Moon at 1:30 PM EST, you could easily spend more than you intend. The possibility of over extension could show up in your emotional expenditures as well. Watch for over extension in all areas.

This will be a great day for spending time with family or loved ones. Before the Moon goes VOC*, she forms an opposition to Uranus allowing us to make unusual, exciting, or unpredictable connections with others.

By evening, quiet connection with a partner or close friend, will feel satisfying. Remember, you’re still adjusting to the changes of the past few days (Mercury retrograde, Mars entering dreamy Pisces, and the Sun entering ambitious Capricorn). Rest together, with a partner or friend. Some hours of calm quiet rest may be more important than you realize.

The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:32 PM EST until she enters Scorpio on Friday morning at 9:32 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

MYSTERY AND INTRIGUE

Friday, December 23, 2016:

The rest we required on Thursday evening will serve us well when the Moon enters emotionally penetrating Scorpio at 9:32 AM EST. Throughout the afternoon, this powerful Scorpio Moon engages in harmonious conversations with the Sun and Mars.

The intensity of your emotions can be used for practical purposes. You are powerfully driven to push forward as you approach your deepest desires.

This may be a simple day but the results of connections made may powerfully move your life forward.

There is no need to keep your deepest desires undercover. Allow others to support you and offer support to others, as you each engage in the transformation of your lives. A sense of mystery and intrigue show you are on the right path.

STABILIZE ECCENTRIC PROCLIVITIES

Saturday, December 24, 2016:

Saturday holds a very important transit that presents important keys to the coming months. At 7:20 PM EST, Saturn trine Uranus; this is the first of three ‘hits’ of this aspect. The second will be on May 19, 2017 and the third on November 11, 2017.

This transit brings the defiant, independent, and eccentric, revolutionary energy of Uranus and the stabilizing, responsible, conservative authority of Saturn into a harmonious conversation. Uranus questions the places where Saturn is stuck. Saturn shows Uranus how to bring responsibility and stabilization to revolutionary shocking realities.

Considering how these two energies may support each other in the midst of our current political catastrophe certainly gives us food for thought. Uranus upsets and revolutionizes; Saturn brings maturity and restriction. Keep in mind that this is a harmonious connection. Harmonious for whom, we must ask?  We have no idea what is happening behind the scenes politically; we do know there are powerful energies at work.

Within the context of your personal life, this may show up as you struggle to stabilize your more eccentric proclivities or work to break out of places where you are stuck. Much depends on where this occurs in your chart. If you have personal planets between 18 and 22 of Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), you are feeling a deep flow on these issues.

LOVE <3

Sunday, December 25, 2016:

It is a delight to find that on Sunday, which so many people are celebrating, provides us with an entire day of the Scorpio Moon VOC*. This enables us to easily relax into a holiday. There is nothing to be done. Enjoy wherever you find yourself. The Scorpio Moon encourages us to stay deeply connected to profound emotions.

Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and sensual pleasures is incredibly active on Sunday. First, she forms a lovely, flowing trine to philosophical Jupiter at 8:22 AM EST allowing your understanding of love and beauty to expand.

When she sextiles Uranus at 11:35 AM EST, she asks you to look outside of your conservative expectations to see unexpected or unusual opportunities that may be presented to create beauty or build on loving connections.

At 1:32 PM EST, she sextiles Saturn offering the possibility of mature stabilization of love. These delightful Venus aspects promise you a delightful day.

Unfortunately, of course, you may have personal transits that override all this pleasure and beauty. Even so, you will feel this; remain open to the enjoyment of it.

As you head into the evening, the Moon enters Sagittarius at 10:19 PM EST, you may want to stay up late enough to spend some time in the expansive emotional energy that comes forward at the time.

Absorb and extend outward to others, all the love that you can muster on Sunday.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:22 AM EST until she enters Sagittarius at 10:19 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, textiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: February 29, 2016 through March 6, 2016

The planetary alignment suggests a very active, busy week. We begin the week with the extra day of February. Remember, this is a leap year! Treat it as an EXTRA day and you will begin the week with a sense of abundance!

L’élégante à l’éventail by Louis German via Wiki Commons

Early in the week, watch as your values or your experience of the values of others, take an interesting turn. This could show up in terms of money or love. You may be presented with an opportunity to stabilize these areas, even as they expand with unexpected or unusual growth. Anticipate and prepare for unique opportunities that can result in powerful new developments.

The weekend ahead may bring communication challenges as your thinking moves through anger followed by a turn toward confusion. Seeking a path toward deeper spiritual understanding will help.

The plus side of the weekend could bring unexpected travel. A road trip to Montreal is not out of the question! But staying out late dancing on Saturday night may not be the best option. Better to get some sleep and enjoy museums or places of worship on Sunday (those churches are beautiful).

This is a powerful week with a lot of changing energies. Hang on for the ride, maintain solid integrity, don’t be hard on yourself or others, and allow yourself to dream.

SAY ‘YES’

Monday, February 29, 2016:

We begin the week with the Moon connecting with Mars, pushing us forward with a powerful need to take action on some deeply felt issue. At 6:56 PM EST, the Moon enters Sagittarius opening some of the tightness or confusion you may have brought with you from the weekend.

Allow yourself to open your perspective and look to your dreams for the future. At 8:07 PM EST, Venus and Saturn form a sextile. This offers us opportunities in the area of love or money.

Keep your eyes open on Monday and Tuesday for possibilities you may not have considered. If an opportunity presents itself that feels good and proper; simply open your heart and your mind and say ‘Yes’.

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES

Tuesday, March 1, 2016:

Starting the day on Tuesday, you may feel like you’re getting up on the wrong side of the bed. These feelings are reflecting the square between the Moon and Neptune

This is the day when navigating the path ahead may bring up many questions. We are distracted and possibly overwhelmed by the possibilities. We intuitively know that there are things we must let go of and directions that must be shifted in order to stay on our path.

The Third Quarter Square between the Sun and Moon occurs at 6:11 PM EST. In order to follow your own best intentions, you must know what to release and where to shift direction. It is important to stay grounded in this process.

Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater! Narrow your focus and pay attention to what is necessary.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART

Wednesday, March 2, 2016:

Don’t underestimate the significance of the energies provided on Wednesday.
Your relationships to the most significant people in your life and your deepest held values (including money and other resources) seek exploration and new understanding.

Venus sextiles the wild energy of Uranus at 8:07 PM EST and is asking you (or at least offers the opportunity) to consider solutions and ideas outside the box of convention. With your emotions somewhat detached, you are able to see a bigger view and more possibilities. You don’t have to follow conventional norms or rules; you can follow your deepest hearts desires.

Lines of communication are open and you are open to new ways of experiencing your world. This brings an opportunity to consider alternatives to the status quo, open-minded perspectives, as well as the ability to detach from the opinions of others.

Follow your heart. Give more space to your creative and cerebral thinking.

PRACTICAL REALITIES

Thursday, March 3, 2016:

The shift of energy from Wednesday into Thursday may feel considerable. If you loved the energy of Wednesday, today may feel a bit repressive. If you experienced a lot of anxiety on Wednesday, this new energy may feel stable and solid, what a relief!

The Moon enters Capricorn at 5:02 AM EST insisting that you get serious about the practical realities of your life. This is a day for ambition and serious work. You may feel the need to put your personal life on the back burner as you focus on more pragmatic concerns. Enjoy a sense of accomplishment by maintaining that solid focus on all those practical realities.

Before bedtime, it will be important to release that seriousness. Allow yourself a movie, a glass of wine, or extra time on your meditation cushion. Get to sleep in time to tune-in to open, intuitive dream space; especially when the Moon sextile Neptune at 10:57 PM EST.

ALLOW FOR IMPERFECTIONS

Friday, March 4, 2016:

The theme of serious, practical accomplishments continues throughout Friday. As the Moon conjunct Pluto at 12:18 PM EST, you will likely be deeply focused on whatever work project you are involved in. Remember, that it may not be easy to be flexible.

At 2:58 PM EST, the Moon squares Uranus and flexibility will be key to managing this transit. If you are too profoundly focused, distractions could become a problem. Allow, develop, and seek flexibility. Allow for the gifts of imperfection and attempt to maintain a sense of humor.

When the Moon trine Jupiter at 3:30 PM EST, tensions should relax and the rest of the afternoon has the potential of being very constructive. You may be surprised at how much you can accomplish in a short period of time.

A quiet evening at home would be advisable. This is not an evening to go looking for pleasure in a social arena. If you want to make plans for socializing this weekend, Saturday evening will be the better choice.

HOLD STEADY WHILE ENERGIES SHIFT

Saturday, March 5, 2016:

This brings us to a very busy weekend ahead. On Saturday, Mercury squares Mars at 12:43 AM EST. Perhaps, you can sleep through the reflection of this argumentative aspect or experience the aggravation within the context of your dreams.

By the time you wake up Saturday morning, Mercury has left Aquarius behind to enter Pisces. You may notice your thinking takes on a very different flavor than it has since Mercury entered Aquarius on February 13th. Your thoughts may go to places of intangibility, high imagination, and deep sensitivity.

It may be difficult to follow a train of thought without getting lost in strong, watery currents. We can expect less clarity and more mystical thinking while Mercury remains in Pisces until March 21st.

At 11:06 AM EST, the Moon leaves serious Capricorn behind to enter detached, intellectual Aquarius. We are finally able to get away from so much focus on work and, on an emotional level, move to a cooler, more detached space where all kinds of possibilities may become available.

At 9:28 PM EST, Mars enters Sagittarius after having been in Scorpio since January 3rd. Mars represents our ability to take decisive action, assertiveness, and how we experience and use our sexual energy. While Mars was in Scorpio, we functioned (sexually and assertively) in deep pools of privacy and discretion as we explored our inner depths.

What have you discovered, hidden under the surface, about how your energy wants or needs to express itself? As Mars moves into Sagittarius, we are open to lighter, more exploratory arenas within which we are able to move our assertive, aggressive, and sexual energies. Explore new territory.

In April 2016, Mars will turn retrograde. This means Mars will remain in Sagittarius until late September 2016. Do you know what house Sagittarius occupies in your chart? This will be an area of significant activity between now and September. Make sure you were living your highest integrity in this area. The importance of this will be clear in the coming months.

REALITY AND EMPOWERMENT

Sunday, March 6, 2016:

Sunday begins on a serious note with the Sun square Saturn at 1:03 AM EST. Think back to a most serious issue in late November 2015. On November 29th, the Sun conjunct Saturn which began an annual cycle of developing maturity through integrity and hard work. What began in your life at that time? If you have the answer to that question, it will give you an idea of how to manage the square between them on Sunday.

As this is the Last Quarter Square in their cycle, signifying the end of this influence, it is important that you take an action on what began in late November. This is a serious aspect, asking you to make a decision and take action to move your life forward in a practical manner.

Slow down and consider carefully the vision you are working to create. Be clear that you are taking concrete, real-world steps to develop that dream. This is a time to look at reality and make sure you’re taking the necessary, practical steps forward toward an achievable goal.

As the day comes to a close, the Sun sextile Pluto at 11:40 PM EST which suggests that the hard work you are investing in your future opens possibilities for great empowerment moving forward. This is a delightful energy to end the week with.

Reflect and rejoice.

Rainbow Splash by Janice Montecalvo of Providence, RI

Rainbow Splash by Janice Montecalvo of Providence, RI

As I look at the upcoming week, I see a bit more astrological activity than we have had in the previous two weeks. It has felt eerily quiet!

On Monday, Jupiter and Uranus come together in a trine aspect which has been impacting us strongly since September of 2014.

This brings the planet of expansion, (Jupiter), together in a free flow of energy with the planet of unexpected surprises, unusual circumstances, and humanitarian events, (Uranus).

If your birthday falls on April 9-11, August 11-13, or December 11-13, this will be a particularly powerful week. Watch for expansion, an opening, or a surprise!

Many of you have asked how my partner, Brenda, is recovering. I have also gotten questions regarding my own circumstances. Thanks for asking; I love to share!

Last week, Brenda went back to work after her heart attack on Easter Sunday. She still tires out easily but the healing process is at work and cannot be rushed.

The current complications come in the form of the company she works for. Brenda is being laid-off , along with most of her coworkers. In order to maintain employment, she is going to have to move to either Portland, Maine or Bangor, Maine!

Oh heavens! Didn’t the doctor recommend “No Stress”? Well, “no stress” for someone with Uranus conjunct Leo Moon, squaring a stellium in Taurus, simply is not possible.

Life certainly offers us the circumstances that most clearly reflect who we are. What is the reflection that you see in your own life and chart?

EXPAND THE EXCITEMENT IN YOUR LIFE

Monday, June 22, 2015:

The week begins with great excitement as Jupiter forms a trine aspect to Uranus. Because of Jupiter’s recent retrograde, this transit is the third such trine between them. The first trine occurred in September 2014, the second in March 2015, and the final happens on Monday.

Take time to consider the energies that these two planets represent. Jupiter is the planet of great expansion. Whatever Jupiter touches, it simply makes bigger! It is also the planet that speaks to us on issues of faith, belief, and overindulgence.

Uranus is the planet of unexpected, shocking, and possibly wildly unusual surprises. It is the planet of innovation and revolution!

*I must check where this transit falls in Bernie Sanders chart! 🙂

In considering this expansive excitement, think back to the beginning of this cycle between Jupiter and Uranus which occurred in mid-2010 until early 2011. When Jupiter and Uranus come together, it is a significant push for the future.

Uranus always shows the way forward. If you can identify something in your life that expanded in 2010, look at how the energy is pushing forward with more expansion into the future. The full ramifications of this cycle will be evident in early 2017.

These are slow-moving planets and although the aspect is exact on Monday it has been, and is continuing to color the environment we live in for an extended period of time.

The Moon is in Virgo on Monday. We are aware of the potential of our accomplishments for today. The only thing you should let get in the way of work is something that brings significant excitement. If something shows up that provides a spark of excitement, drop the work!

SOFTEN BOUNDARIES

Tuesday, June 23, 2015:

Tuesday, we have the Moon in Virgo, again pushing us toward accomplishment. Watch your tendency toward judgment and narrow-mindedness. Remember how little you know about what goes on in the depths of another person’s soul. Whether it is your mother, your child, your neighbor, or your best friend; none of us know the contents of another soul’s path.

At 2:08 PM EDT, Mercury squares Neptune explaining the lack of clarity and motivation regardless of the insistence of the Virgo Moon. The cycle between Mercury and Neptune began in mid-March 2015. This is a cycle whose purpose is to soften or dissolve the barriers within the mind

How does the mind soften? I would say it softens through the training of meditation, through music, or through deep suffering. The softening of your mind or thoughts that began in mid-March has brought you to a point now where action must be taken to determine the outcome.

For me, mid-March was when Brenda had her heart attack. Now, the action that must be taken seems to be helping her pack up and move to Maine. The full result will be clear at the planet’s opposition in mid-August.

Spring Green by Janice Montecalvo of Providence, RI

Spring Green by Janice Montecalvo of Providence, RI

Tell me how you see this playing out in your own life. I’m very curious. Regardless of what began at the start of the cycle in March, meditation would be an excellent action to take now.

If there are problems in your situation regarding drugs or alcohol, be particularly careful. Meditation, listening to music, watching great films, and studying the writing of mystical thinkers would all have great benefit for everyone at this time.

May I recommend the video, ‘With One Voice’ directed by Eric Temple? I believe you can find it on Netflix.

SAY WHAT NEEDS TO BE SAID

Wednesday, June 24, 2015:

By the time we wake up on Wednesday morning, the Moon has entered Libra and we have reached the First-Quarter Square of the lunar cycle. The New Moon that arrived last week on June 16th began the cycle of increased communication and intellectual development.

On Wednesday, take action on a communication or an intellectual pursuit. Sit down and have that conversation or go online and sign up for the class that you know would be of great benefit for you to take.

Wednesday’s Libra Moon keeps us focused on pleasure, beauty, and diplomacy.
At 9:32 AM EDT, Mars leaves Gemini behind (where he has been residing since early May) to enter Cancer. Let’s be honest, Mars is not delighted to be in Cancer. Mars is the planet of action, sexuality, and determination. Cancer is the sign of nurturing and mothering.

Mars would rather fight than nurture and sometimes this can bring us to consider passive aggressive actions. Be aware of these tendencies. The heat of sexuality may be watered down and you may find yourself preferring to cook for each other and play with the puppy rather than activities of a more randy nature.

Mars will remain in Cancer until he enters Leo on August 8th, 2015 (my birthday)! Enjoy the new puppy! Hot times return in August!

HOLD STEADY

Thursday, June 25, 2015:

As we adapt to Mars’ new position in Cancer, the Moon remains in Libra throughout Thursday. This may be a day of vacillating emotions. Early in the morning, the Moon squares Pluto as we struggle to contemplate the deeply profound differences between “us vs. them”.

The majority of the afternoon should be pleasant. You can anticipate easier connections with others as the Moon is sextile Venus in Leo. Around dinner time, there may be further anxiety, excitement, or struggle as the Moon connects with Uranus.

By the time the dinner dishes are washed and put away, the Moon sextiles Jupiter and our emotions expand into a more diplomatic joyful space once again. I think the best way to manage this type of day is simply to be aware and try to hold steady even as the energies push us to extremes.

If you are not paying attention, it could be easy to spend part of the day feeling that your life is falling apart and other parts of the day feeling that your life is on the perfect path. Focus on the clear understanding that neither one of these extremes holds the full reality of your situation. Look clearly at both sides and hold steady on the middle path.

At 7:23 PM EDT, the Moon is VOC* following the sextile to Jupiter. Thursday should hold a pleasant evening to rest in the company of friends.

FOCUS AND CLARITY

Friday, June 26, 2015:

Friday begins with the Moon still VOC* in Libra. Don’t try to rush into this day determined to make great strides in accomplishment. Move slowly, take your time, and have a leisurely breakfast with your family. Sit with a loved one over coffee and conversation before plowing into the day.

At 1:57 PM EDT, the Moon enters Scorpio and we are able to go deeply into a project and get a great deal accomplished before the end of the day. There is focus and clarity available. If you need information, this is the day to ask for it.

Don’t ask if you don’t want the answer. Be clear on that.

The evening is best spent with intimate partners but only if you are ready for deep connection. Do not waste this lovely evening watching television or spending time with casual acquaintances.

This Friday evening is an ideal time for intimate, sexual, passionate love and affection. Take advantage of it. Make connection.

If you feel that this is not an option for you because of your current circumstances, please read this awesome book: Sexual Intelligence by Marty Klein.

SEEK DEPTH AND CONNECTION

Saturday, June 27, 2015:

How did you spend Friday evening? The answer to this question determines much of how your entire weekend plays out.

Ideally, you spent the evening with a lover or fully engaged with your own passionate, lustful self. If so, you will enter Saturday feeling deeply connected to your core. This is a simple Saturday with the intensity of the Scorpio Moon but without other complications.

This would be a delightful weekend for some sort of retreat. A good time away from the hustle and bustle of the world, a time for intimate connections, a time to explore your own depth. It’s a time to explore the depth of your most intimate relationships.

Take your journal and go alone to a riverbank or park bench. Write your heart out. Find the deepest, most tender parts within your soul and write the words that are emblazoned in that deep warmth.

SAY “YES!”

Sunday, June 28, 2015:

Sunday holds the reflection and the simplicity of Saturday but with a twist! Very early Monday morning, Venus is sextile Uranus.

There is no question that this will be felt on Sunday. Let’s look at the cycle involved!

On March 4, 2015, Venus and Uranus connected in Aries. This began a cycle of intensifying relationship or radically changing your relationship to money or resources.

Did something exciting begin at that time in your relationship or did something exciting or stressful occur in terms of money or resources? Whatever began then has come a long ways.

At this point, you have an idea of the ultimate result of this cycle. The full illumination and release of creative energy will occur in late November 2015.

There is excitement and new possibilities. Keep your eyes open! If there is an opportunity offered that peaks your interest… say “Yes”!

__________________________________________________________

This week: The VOC* Moon!

VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.

Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!

If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!

Wednesday, June 24, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Virgo) for a very short time beginning at 1:12 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 1:41 AM EDT.

Thursday, June 25, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Libra) following a sextile to Jupiter at 7:23 PM EDT until she enters Scorpio on Friday at 1:57 PM EDT.

Sunday, June 28, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Scorpio) following a conjunction to Saturn at 9:50 PM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 11:21 PM EDT.
