Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: November 6, 2017 through November 12, 2017

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

CURIOSITY IN COMMUNICATION

Monday, November 6, 2017:

Monday presents us with relatively calm but fully engaging day. The Moon is in inquisitive, perspective Gemini. Allow yourself to maintain an open attitude toward all the folks you encounter. Ask questions, encourage an open exchange, and share your unique perspectives with others. In all of this, show a deep level of respect and curiosity.

At 9:58 PM EST, the Gemini Moon opposes stabilizing, duty-bound Saturn. Go to sleep early enough and you won’t feel the heaviness that is often a part of this serious energy.

SENSITIVITY AND DEEP CONNECTION

Tuesday, November 7, 2017:

At 5:45 AM EST, the Moon enters protective, sensitive Cancer allowing the general emotional state of the day to turn inward. Shortly thereafter, Venus, the planet of deep, personal values, enters the powerful waters of Scorpio where she joins with both Jupiter and the Sun.

Over the coming days, Venus reaches out toward Jupiter, allowing the depth of passion and love to deepen and release. On November 13th, they will join together at 7 degrees Scorpio, beginning a new cycle of expanding the intensity of deep love and connection.

At 3:48 PM EST, the sensitive Cancer Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to expansive Jupiter. Allow deep love, connection, and prosperity to flow. Spend money, create art, and give love.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:40 AM EST until she enters Cancer at 5:45 AM EST. LOL! Five whole minutes; you will probably be sleeping or brushing your teeth!

ALLOW THIS SNAG TO PASS

Wednesday, November 8, 2017:

Rouen, Rue de L’Epicerie by Camille Pissaro via Wiki Media

Wednesday morning brings a sense of belonging to your situation. Whether you spend your day at work, at home, alone, or in community there is a sense that you belong.

At 10:06 AM EST, that sense may hit a snag as someone in the environment may push an agenda or try to hold power or control over you. This is a simple Moon transit and is likely to be rather subtle and won’t last long. If you pay attention, you will, however, notice it. Perhaps, it is an internal thing where you are the one pushing the agenda or holding power over another. Go inward and check your own level of integrity.

In the very early hours of Thursday morning, the Cancer Moon also has a challenging aspect to unsettling, exciting, and sometimes defiant Uranus. Get to bed early and allow these energies to pass without distress. No early morning tweeting please! 🙂

BEGIN YOUR PLAN FOR 2018

Thursday, November 9, 2017:

Depending on how early you get up on Thursday morning, you may or may not encounter ongoing sensitivity from the past few days. At 7:30 AM EST, the Moon leaves emotional Cancer behind to enter exuberant Leo. You will be able to set aside that sensitivity and open yourself to a more generous and playful state of self-expression.

Another early morning event occurs at 7:12 AM EST, with the passionate Scorpio Sun forming a sextile aspect to subversive, transformative Pluto. The cycle between the Sun and Pluto (an annual cycle of empowerment or destruction) began on January 7, 2017.

As you prepare for the new cycle, which will begin in January of 2018, consider what you will need to release as you prepare for the next cycle. Simply stated, this as an important time to consider what needs to be released and to begin to plan for the new cycle ahead. Yes, begin to envision your personal intentions and strategies for 2018!

The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:15 AM EST until she enters Leo at 7:30 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

A NIGHT FOR SELF-EXPRESSION

Friday, November 10, 2017:

I think you can anticipate a pleasant, even fun, morning. Get to work early, engage with others; show-up as your most authentic self while holding space for others to feel safe in their full personality expression as well. Folks will probably be feeling fairly positive and upbeat as they prepare for the weekend ahead.

Late afternoon may bring a bit of a slump as we reach the Third Quarter Moon phase at 3:37 PM EST. With the Sun in intensely private Scorpio and the Moon in playful, expressive Leo, there may be a conflict in how to move forward. Allow any stress to pass by observing without reacting to difficult (internal or external) interactions. Release and move forward, this is simply a Moon transit and will pass quickly if you do not engage with it.

If you are hoping for any party type activities, Friday is your night. Go to the theater, go dancing, engage with others in a big way, and enjoy playful expressions of all sorts.

Saturday night will be best suited for quieter endeavors.

PLAN FOR MAGIC

Saturday, November 11, 2017:

Start Saturday off with simple pleasures, a low-key yoga class, brunch with friends, or a walk in the woods. Whatever you choose to do early in the day, make sure you have no agenda other than enjoyment. Other energies and ideas are rattling around in your head through the morning hours but allow them to be non-obtrusive while you simply enjoy the morning.

Saturday’s flowing trine to inspirational Uranus brings focus to the afternoon as you are provided with the ability to explore new ideas and unusual innovations. Nail these ideas down, bring them into reality as you make definitive goals on which to build your most inspiring, inventive ideas.

Once the Moon enters industrious, efficient Virgo at 11:42 AM EST, commit those goals to paper. Sign and date your goal statements, revisit your statement regularly and allow magic to occur.

The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:56 AM EST until she enters Virgo at 11:42 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

PRACTICAL DREAMS

Sunday, November 12, 2017:

Sunday may bring minor challenges but they are rather sweet challenges. 🙂

The Moon is in highly practical Virgo throughout the day, encouraging you to spend time on analytical or organizational projects. Perhaps, you simply need to do laundry and clean the house.

However, at 8:24 AM EST, the orderly Virgo Moon makes an opposition to dreamy, fanciful Neptune. With this aspect in play, you may want to open a bottle of champagne while you clean the house and do the laundry! Perhaps, you can take a break from the work to watch a movie, meditate, or simply rest and dream. A dreamy but analytical organizational day!

At 7:04 PM EST, when the Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to transformative Pluto, you can dive into gratitude and the depth of empowerment you are developing as you grow in self-understanding.

“There is no measuring with time, no year matters, and 10 years are nothing. Being an artist means, not reckoning and counting, but ripening like the tree which does not force it sap and stands confident in the storms of spring without the fear that after them may come no summer. It does come. But it comes only to the patient, who are there as though eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly still and wide. I learn it daily, learn it with pain to which I am grateful: patience is everything!”  ~ Rainer Maria Rilke

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: November 7, 2016 through November 13, 2016

With Mars, Venus, and Mercury all changing signs this week, we can anticipate an unusually busy week with many unexpected shifts occurring upon unstable ground.

Drago en Orquidea Luz by Felipe Juan Artista via Wiki Commons

Very early Wednesday morning (in EST), Mars, the planet of courage, assertiveness, anger, and possibly even violence leaves steadfast Capricorn behind to enter the unpredictable realm of Aquarius. Pay attention to your actions and the actions of others. You can anticipate folks resorting to unexpected, unusual, and erratic ways of acquiring their desires. Mars will remain in Aquarius until December 19th.

Near midnight (in EST) on Friday, Venus, the planet of diplomacy, partnership, and refinement leaves the freedom of Sagittarius behind to enter authoritative, conservative Capricorn. In Capricorn, the planet of love and our resources seeks serious commitment to our personal values within these areas. In Capricorn, Venus demands hard work to acquire our desires. Venus will remain in Capricorn until December 7th.

On Saturday morning, Mercury, the planet of communication, intellect, and perception leaves the intensity of Scorpio behind to move into freedom seeking Sagittarius. Your thoughts should lighten up as you plan a way to expand your awareness of the larger world around you. Mercury will remain in Sagittarius until December 2nd.

MAKE THE EFFORT TO AFFECT CHANGE

Monday, November 7, 2016:

The week begins with the Scorpio Sun sextile transformative Pluto. This indicates that an opportunity is offered that will bring powerful internal change. This may be a change of heart, change of mind, change of perspective, or any combination of these.

However, the square aspect formed between the unconventional Aquarius Moon and the suspicious Scorpio Sun brings a serious challenge to any change being contemplated.

Do not shy away from the effort. If you see an opportunity offered, take it. Perhaps it is not an easy process, but the work involved will serve you well in the days and weeks to come.

Consider your most private struggles to move toward change. Make the effort to see these struggles objectively. Look at alternative viewpoints and understand the necessity for change.

This is the First Quarter Square of the lunar cycle. It is time to take the appropriate action. Do you know what that action is? What seed did you plant at the New Moon? Push it forward with an action taken on Monday.

The Moon trine expansive Jupiter and is sextile serious, hardworking Saturn which supports forward motion. Go ahead. Make the effort.

DON’T FORGET TO VOTE TOMORROW.

VOTE: THEN TURN INWARD

Tuesday, November 8, 2016:

For Tuesday’s weather report, I will avoid thinking or mentioning too much about the fact that this is the day of the US presidential election. The only thing I will say about it is: “Please Vote”. If possible, do your voting before 8:55 AM EST or after 4:46 PM EST.  Regardless of when you vote, VOTE.

The revolutionary Aquarius Moon forms a supportive sextile to sweet Venus just before the Moon goes VOC*. This allows our minds and hearts to maintain some availability and openness throughout the day.

At 4:46 PM EST, when the Moon enters elusive, susceptible Pisces we may find it difficult to understand how to move through an environment that feels vague, intangible, and confusing.

You may be tempted to spend the evening in front of the television or drinking heavily. Time on your meditation cushion will serve you, the culture, and the planet better. Go inward. Settle your own internal demons. Watch as the cards fall where they may. Know that you have done all that you can do.

Everyone you meet is feeling the stress. Offer kindness and rich compassion to yourself and all you encounter.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:55 AM EST until she enters Pisces at 4:46 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

COURAGE MEETS REVOLUTION/ INNOVATION

Foresto Marianini vaso di Fiori by Elisa Marianini via Wiki Commons

Wednesday, November 9, 2016:

In the midst of the fluid, surreal environment we find ourselves in (Moon in Pisces), courageous Mars the planet of courage, assertiveness, and even violence leaves the sign of the adult (Capricorn) behind to enter the unpredictable realm of the Revolutionary (Aquarius).

Unusual and unconventional ways of achieving your goals may come to mind and be rapidly acted upon. Channel this energy with some caution and integrity. Put your energy into humanitarian goals rather than personal ones.

Pay attention to your actions and the actions of others. You can anticipate folks resorting to unexpected, unusual, and erratic ways of acquiring their desires. Mars will remain in Aquarius until December 19th.

At 7:50 PM EST, the mystical Pisces Moon squares cautious Saturn suggesting that idealism may turn to frustration. You may experience the feeling of frustration and exhaustion. Shortly after midnight when the Pisces Moon trine the Scorpio Sun, your energy will return, bringing with it a brighter day on Thursday.

CLARITY, COURAGE, DETERMINATION

Thursday, November 10, 2016:

On Thursday, the intuitive Pisces Moon forms a trine aspect to the transformative Scorpio Sun and Mercury (also in the profoundly intense sign of Scorpio). You may breathe a sign of relief or acceptance. When the Moon squares lovely Venus at 6:15 PM EST, you may not understand the implications as you move forward into this new state of relief or acceptance.  You (and all of us) have held much anxiety over the past weeks and possibly months!

At 8:45 PM EST, as the Moon enters assertive Aries, your confusion and lack of clarity is released. You feel stronger, more determined, and ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead. Be careful not to embody an attitude of arrogance. Allow your thinking to settle down into a kinder space as the Aries Moon approaches a sextile to Mars at bedtime (EST). Friday will bring more clarity, more courage, and more determination to move ahead.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:17 PM EST until she enters Aries at 8:45 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER

Friday, November 11, 2016:

You may feel inpatient with Friday’s lack of activity after the buildup of anxiety over the past weeks. You may feel more on edge than you expected you would at this point in the process. We are now three days into the outcome of the USA elections. Have we settled yet?

At 6:46 PM EST, when the Moon opposes optimistic Jupiter you may see your need to continue the development of courage and your need to bring others into your inner circle to help pave the way.

When the assertive Aries Moon squares compulsive Pluto at 10:09 PM EDT, you may have difficulty managing the intensity you find yourself engaged in. However, when the Moon trine Saturn shortly thereafter, you realize that you are able to stabilize the situation, maintain a mature handle on your circumstances, and utilize the situation for personal growth. Moving through this day is really just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other without engaging in your own self-created inner turmoil.

Just before midnight Venus, the planet of our personal values enters the cautious, mature sign of Capricorn where she will stay until December 7th. Over the coming days and weeks, we will learn the importance of patience. Delayed gratification and deep abiding patience support the true lasting value of our desires.

CANDLELIGHT AND BEAUTY

Saturday, November 12, 2016:

Saturday morning, we wake up with lovely Venus newly in mature Capricorn ready to teach us all about patience in love. There is no rushing true, lasting love. You must take your time, hold steady, and develop the integrity and bedrock of your own true values.

Mercury, the planet of intellect and thought process, has been developing deep connections and intensity since entering Scorpio on October 24th.  At 9:39 AM EST, Mercury leaves Scorpio behind to enter Sagittarius where your philosophical understanding of your place in the world is ready to grow in wisdom. Consider the centaur (half human and half horse) that is the symbol of Sagittarius. Visualize that the centaur is releasing the arrow high in the air. The perspective of Sagittarius is not the perspective of the centaur. The perspective of Sagittarius is the perspective of the arrow at its highest altitude.

Mercury will remain in Sagittarius until December 2nd. Take advantage of this time to allow your mind to grow in awareness, inclusion, and understanding. Share your understanding with others while allowing each person to draw their own conclusions and develop their own opinions. We are all so different in our view of the world. Diversity is what makes it all work. Love the differences.

At 9:23 PM EST, the Moon enters Taurus inviting us to seek sensual pleasures and beauty. Spend the evening with a lover or an art project. The night is made to create beauty, comfort, and earthly reverence. Candlelight and tasty treats are in order.

The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:45 AM EST until she enters Taurus at 9:23 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

EMBRACE BEAUTY & LOVE

Sunday, November 13, 2016:

Sunday is a simple, and possibly, sleepy day made for pleasure. There may be little reason to get out of bed other than possibly to create wonderful food to further deepen the pleasure of the day.

With much stress now left behind, you may really need this day of rest. Create a nest to luxuriate in, binge watch a TV series, or watch a few lovely movies. The other choice for the day would be to spend time in nature connecting with the reality and solidity of the natural world. Get out and soak in the dependability of the land; commune with the trees or the ocean. Allow nature to move your soul.

At 9:46 PM EST, the Moon trine Pluto offers you the opportunity to absorb the power in nature and the power of love. We are closing in on the Taurus Full Moon on Monday, a time of full illumination of the connection to stability and reverence that Taurus offers. Embrace Love.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: February 29, 2016 through March 6, 2016

The planetary alignment suggests a very active, busy week. We begin the week with the extra day of February. Remember, this is a leap year! Treat it as an EXTRA day and you will begin the week with a sense of abundance!

Early in the week, watch as your values or your experience of the values of others, take an interesting turn. This could show up in terms of money or love. You may be presented with an opportunity to stabilize these areas, even as they expand with unexpected or unusual growth. Anticipate and prepare for unique opportunities that can result in powerful new developments.

The weekend ahead may bring communication challenges as your thinking moves through anger followed by a turn toward confusion. Seeking a path toward deeper spiritual understanding will help.

The plus side of the weekend could bring unexpected travel. A road trip to Montreal is not out of the question! But staying out late dancing on Saturday night may not be the best option. Better to get some sleep and enjoy museums or places of worship on Sunday (those churches are beautiful).

This is a powerful week with a lot of changing energies. Hang on for the ride, maintain solid integrity, don’t be hard on yourself or others, and allow yourself to dream.

SAY ‘YES’

Monday, February 29, 2016:

We begin the week with the Moon connecting with Mars, pushing us forward with a powerful need to take action on some deeply felt issue. At 6:56 PM EST, the Moon enters Sagittarius opening some of the tightness or confusion you may have brought with you from the weekend.

Allow yourself to open your perspective and look to your dreams for the future. At 8:07 PM EST, Venus and Saturn form a sextile. This offers us opportunities in the area of love or money.

Keep your eyes open on Monday and Tuesday for possibilities you may not have considered. If an opportunity presents itself that feels good and proper; simply open your heart and your mind and say ‘Yes’.

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES

Tuesday, March 1, 2016:

Starting the day on Tuesday, you may feel like you’re getting up on the wrong side of the bed. These feelings are reflecting the square between the Moon and Neptune

This is the day when navigating the path ahead may bring up many questions. We are distracted and possibly overwhelmed by the possibilities. We intuitively know that there are things we must let go of and directions that must be shifted in order to stay on our path.

The Third Quarter Square between the Sun and Moon occurs at 6:11 PM EST. In order to follow your own best intentions, you must know what to release and where to shift direction. It is important to stay grounded in this process.

Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater! Narrow your focus and pay attention to what is necessary.

FOLLOW YOUR HEART

Wednesday, March 2, 2016:

Don’t underestimate the significance of the energies provided on Wednesday.
Your relationships to the most significant people in your life and your deepest held values (including money and other resources) seek exploration and new understanding.

Venus sextiles the wild energy of Uranus at 8:07 PM EST and is asking you (or at least offers the opportunity) to consider solutions and ideas outside the box of convention. With your emotions somewhat detached, you are able to see a bigger view and more possibilities. You don’t have to follow conventional norms or rules; you can follow your deepest hearts desires.

Lines of communication are open and you are open to new ways of experiencing your world. This brings an opportunity to consider alternatives to the status quo, open-minded perspectives, as well as the ability to detach from the opinions of others.

Follow your heart. Give more space to your creative and cerebral thinking.

PRACTICAL REALITIES

Thursday, March 3, 2016:

The shift of energy from Wednesday into Thursday may feel considerable. If you loved the energy of Wednesday, today may feel a bit repressive. If you experienced a lot of anxiety on Wednesday, this new energy may feel stable and solid, what a relief!

The Moon enters Capricorn at 5:02 AM EST insisting that you get serious about the practical realities of your life. This is a day for ambition and serious work. You may feel the need to put your personal life on the back burner as you focus on more pragmatic concerns. Enjoy a sense of accomplishment by maintaining that solid focus on all those practical realities.

Before bedtime, it will be important to release that seriousness. Allow yourself a movie, a glass of wine, or extra time on your meditation cushion. Get to sleep in time to tune-in to open, intuitive dream space; especially when the Moon sextile Neptune at 10:57 PM EST.

ALLOW FOR IMPERFECTIONS

Friday, March 4, 2016:

The theme of serious, practical accomplishments continues throughout Friday. As the Moon conjunct Pluto at 12:18 PM EST, you will likely be deeply focused on whatever work project you are involved in. Remember, that it may not be easy to be flexible.

At 2:58 PM EST, the Moon squares Uranus and flexibility will be key to managing this transit. If you are too profoundly focused, distractions could become a problem. Allow, develop, and seek flexibility. Allow for the gifts of imperfection and attempt to maintain a sense of humor.

When the Moon trine Jupiter at 3:30 PM EST, tensions should relax and the rest of the afternoon has the potential of being very constructive. You may be surprised at how much you can accomplish in a short period of time.

A quiet evening at home would be advisable. This is not an evening to go looking for pleasure in a social arena. If you want to make plans for socializing this weekend, Saturday evening will be the better choice.

HOLD STEADY WHILE ENERGIES SHIFT

Saturday, March 5, 2016:

This brings us to a very busy weekend ahead. On Saturday, Mercury squares Mars at 12:43 AM EST. Perhaps, you can sleep through the reflection of this argumentative aspect or experience the aggravation within the context of your dreams.

By the time you wake up Saturday morning, Mercury has left Aquarius behind to enter Pisces. You may notice your thinking takes on a very different flavor than it has since Mercury entered Aquarius on February 13th. Your thoughts may go to places of intangibility, high imagination, and deep sensitivity.

It may be difficult to follow a train of thought without getting lost in strong, watery currents. We can expect less clarity and more mystical thinking while Mercury remains in Pisces until March 21st.

At 11:06 AM EST, the Moon leaves serious Capricorn behind to enter detached, intellectual Aquarius. We are finally able to get away from so much focus on work and, on an emotional level, move to a cooler, more detached space where all kinds of possibilities may become available.

At 9:28 PM EST, Mars enters Sagittarius after having been in Scorpio since January 3rd. Mars represents our ability to take decisive action, assertiveness, and how we experience and use our sexual energy. While Mars was in Scorpio, we functioned (sexually and assertively) in deep pools of privacy and discretion as we explored our inner depths.

What have you discovered, hidden under the surface, about how your energy wants or needs to express itself? As Mars moves into Sagittarius, we are open to lighter, more exploratory arenas within which we are able to move our assertive, aggressive, and sexual energies. Explore new territory.

In April 2016, Mars will turn retrograde. This means Mars will remain in Sagittarius until late September 2016. Do you know what house Sagittarius occupies in your chart? This will be an area of significant activity between now and September. Make sure you were living your highest integrity in this area. The importance of this will be clear in the coming months.

REALITY AND EMPOWERMENT

Sunday, March 6, 2016:

Sunday begins on a serious note with the Sun square Saturn at 1:03 AM EST. Think back to a most serious issue in late November 2015. On November 29th, the Sun conjunct Saturn which began an annual cycle of developing maturity through integrity and hard work. What began in your life at that time? If you have the answer to that question, it will give you an idea of how to manage the square between them on Sunday.

As this is the Last Quarter Square in their cycle, signifying the end of this influence, it is important that you take an action on what began in late November. This is a serious aspect, asking you to make a decision and take action to move your life forward in a practical manner.

Slow down and consider carefully the vision you are working to create. Be clear that you are taking concrete, real-world steps to develop that dream. This is a time to look at reality and make sure you’re taking the necessary, practical steps forward toward an achievable goal.

As the day comes to a close, the Sun sextile Pluto at 11:40 PM EST which suggests that the hard work you are investing in your future opens possibilities for great empowerment moving forward. This is a delightful energy to end the week with.

Reflect and rejoice.

Contemplation for the week:

“Life is glorious, but life is also wretched. It is both. Appreciating the gloriousness inspires us, encourages us, cheers us up, gives us a bigger perspective, energizes us. We feel connected. But if that’s all that’s happening, we get arrogant and start to look down on others, and there is a sense of making ourselves a big deal and being really serious about it, wanting it to be like that forever. The gloriousness becomes tinged by craving and addiction. On the other hand, wretchedness–life’s painful aspect–softens us up considerably. Knowing pain is a very important ingredient of being there for another person. When you are feeling a lot of grief, you can look right into somebody’s eyes because you feel you haven’t got anything to lose–you’re just there. The wretchedness humbles us and softens us, but if we were only wretched, we would all just go down the tubes. We’d be so depressed, discouraged, and hopeless that we wouldn’t have enough energy to eat an apple. Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other. One inspires us, the other softens us. They go together.” ~ Pema Chodron

CREATE VALUE

Monday, November 2, 2015:

Last week, the Sun entered Scorpio and this Monday, our thinking catches up. We all understand the feeling sense of Scorpio. It is an energy that we can’t miss and we all recognize. We often associate it with stories from our childhood; I dare say most of those stories probably occurred in late October or November.

Do you remember the time your friend enticed you into the graveyard after dark? Regardless of the fear, the intensity called you forward. I’m sure you have experienced a wave of fear washing over you, even as intense emotion holds you riveted to the spot. Scorpio is the inability to look away when something too scary or horrifying is before you.

At 2:06 AM EST, Mercury leaves Libra behind to enter Scorpio. This brings our thoughts and communications into this same place of intensity and darkness. We are less interested in making things look good; we are less available for ‘small talk’. We must get to the deepest core of the topic at hand.

The Moon in Leo struggles to keep things playful but may resort to less positive points of dramatic creativity!

Monday evening, Venus and Mars come together in the last of a series of three transits since last February. (Due to Venus’ retrograde during last summer). This aspect often reflects our push toward ‘capital R’ relationships.

There are other ways these two planets join together. Remember, that Mars energizes Venus while Venus softens Mars. Consider not only the masculine and feminine principles but also Venus as your values, money, and resources and Mars as the assertive push toward what is desired.

We begin a new cycle here, be it in the realm of energizing love or assertively creating something of value.

PRACTICE RELEASING

Tuesday, November 3, 2015:

Tuesday begins with the stress of the Sun square Moon. This is the Third Quarter Moon phase, representing the need to let go of something we had hoped would last longer than it has. This probably does not represent an issue of long standing, rather it is something more immediate.

What began at the New Moon three weeks ago, that came into full view last Tuesday? That is the thing to release.

Sometimes, the stress of this square can try to persuade you into thinking that there is something more significant to release. In a few days, you can look more deeply into that, but for now you are asked to release something with a smaller footprint in your life. This is practice for the bigger release that is coming.

Today’s Leo Moon is not in her happy-go-lucky expressive guise. When she comes out to play and finds that the Sun is in Scorpio, her fire is dashed with icy waters.

These are two fixed signs with very clear ideas of how life should be lived. Leo wants to play and be loudly expressive; Scorpio wants to dig deep and discover in silence and privacy. They do not play well together.

Keep this in mind as you go about your day and allow space for both of these energies to live within the day. Be patient with others as we are all dealing with the stress between these two very powerful signs.

“Confidence is preparation. Everything else is beyond your control.” ~ Richard Kline

EXPAND & STIMULATE YOUR MIND

Wednesday, November 4, 2015:

Wednesday brings us another full day with the Moon VOC*! The VOC* period is the time between when the Moon makes her final aspect in one sign and when she enters the next sign. The general feel for the time will reflect the energy of her final aspect.

Tuesday at 8:47 PM EST, the Moon made her final aspect in Leo, along with a trine to Uranus, so that will be the energy that we hold until the Moon enters Virgo at 9:23 PM EST.

I would expect an intellectually stimulating day but probably not a great day for accomplishment. Stick with routine tasks along with exciting mental explorations.

What routine tasks do you need to get done? Filing paperwork, mindless forms that need to be filled out, cleaning house, or laundry? Combine those types of jobs with filling your mind with information that is stimulating and exciting. Listen to podcasts or an audio book. Perfect solution!

Conversations can enrich and expand your mind but won’t result in anything tangible over time. Remember that when settling on a topic to listen or talk about!

“You’ll never know who you are unless you shed who you pretend to be.” ~ Vironika Tugaleva

ACCOMPLISHMENT AND CLARITY

Thursday, November 5, 2015:

The Moon in Virgo certainly wants us to get to work on Thursday. That long VOC* period on Wednesday may have delayed progress, fueling our need to get a great deal accomplished on Thursday. Prepare yourself to be surprised by how smoothly work can go, how much you can get done by the end of the day, and how much you can enjoy the process as well.

Shortly before midnight, the Sun makes a sextile aspect to Pluto. This heralds your gaining clarity of the circumstances surrounding a powerful transformation that began last January 2015. Now, you get clear about what needs to be released.

For now, simply investigate your options, be curious about the new cycle of empowering and transforming your core that will being in January 2016, and begin to dream your future.

Take a chance; ask others what it is they are releasing for a new vision of their future? The question will take them by surprise; they will be delighted with the opportunity to share. Share how that conversation plays out, leave a note here.

“You must learn to let go. Release the stress. You were never in control anyway.” ~ Steve Maraboli

SHARE WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED

Friday, November 6, 2015:

In keeping with Thursday’s theme of ‘release to prepare for a new cycle’, on Friday your mind turns to the dream that began in March 2015. The powerful internal transformation that began in January 2015 likely pulled you into a dream that began in March.

Perhaps, you lost clarity. In retrospect, you see that things were simply not as you imagined them to be. Now, you can see clearly what needs to be released and are able to articulate how this process has changed you.

How have your dreams and realities played out in this process? How has your life changed irrevocably? What can you bring from this situation into your life to support your future and be of service to others?

You have learned more than you imagine. Allow yourself to share what you have learned.

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

SATURDAY EVENING SEEK BEAUTY AND PLEASURE

Saturday, November 7, 2015:

Saturday begins with the Moon still in Virgo. Following a brief VOC* between 7:48 AM EST and 10:15 AM EST, she enters Libra.

Take advantage of Saturday being the final day with Venus in Virgo to get some organization or detailed work done. By next week, you will have less energy available for those cleaning and organizing projects, as they will simply seem much less important.

Saturday evening will be good for social engagements, dinner parties, and art shows. This is not the evening for a wild party or an evening alone. Seek cultured environments of beauty and pleasure.

“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~ Melody Beattie

HOLD OPPOSING POINTS OF AWARENESS

Sunday, November 8, 2015:

A slow start seems a good idea for Sunday. Although, being that this is the best part of the day, utilize it more actively if you have some connection to make that needs a lighter touch.

Venus enters Libra at 10:30 AM EST bringing your attention away from details and perfectionism. While Venus is in Libra, (until December 5th), you are encouraged to be more aware of the significance of your partnerships and the beauty you are able to create in the world and your life.

During this time, consider what you see as valuable and beautiful in your life and your values. Venus loves being in Libra where she feels so at home, creating beauty, love, and partnership. Enjoy her time here in her home sign.

The afternoon and evening may bring a certain amount of stress or discord as the Moon makes challenging aspects to both Pluto and Uranus. There may be some internal discord as you not only feel the deep value of partnership but also need space and autonomy. Both are equally valid; we can be aware and feel both deeply at the same time.

Learning to hold opposing points of awareness at the same time is a valuable skill indeed.

“Wisdom is merely the movement from fighting life to embracing it.”~ Rasheed Ogunlaru

This week: The VOC* Moon!

VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.

Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!

If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!

Monday, November 2, 2015, begins with the Moon VOC* (in Cancer) until she enters Leo at 10:48 AM EST.

Tuesday, November 3, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Leo) following a trine to Uranus at 8:47 PM EST until she enters Virgo on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 9:23 PM EST.

Saturday, November 7, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Virgo) following a conjunction to Venus at 7:48 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 10:15 AM EST.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

*The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
*The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 2, 2015 through March 8, 2015

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 2, 2015 through March 8, 2015

Welcome to another week!
Here we are finally in the month of March, 2015. I remember back in 2011 looking ahead with trepidation at the time between Summer of 2012 and Spring of 2015.

I remember wondering what that time was going to bring for the world, our culture, and our own personal lives.

Now, we are at the very end of this amazing time. The path we have been on has changed dramatically. It almost feels as though we’ve been lifted up and placed in a whole new world.

We still have one more exact hit of the transit that has rocked our world over these past few years. The final connection between these two planets comes on March 16, 2015 at 9:53 PM EST. Uranus makes her final square to Pluto at that time.

Does this mean that the entire transformation of these last two years is over and things will settle down immediately? No. I do not expect that will be the case.

In thinking back to 1965 and 1966, when these powerful transformative planets came together and began their current cycle, it is clear to me that it took quite a while for the world to settle down following that impact.

As I look back to that time in my own life and at the history of that time, it is clear that everything did not settle down immediately following 1966. Much of the turmoil persisted. Some of the most relevant work of a transit follows the actual impact. The time of rebuilding continues the hard work. As we move forward, we assimilate what has occurred and pull our lives together to manage the change.

The thing with change is that often times the deepest transformation occurs more quietly than we expect; under wraps. Now, the change will begin to manifest in real world situations.

Watch these changes. Do you feel dread or excitement? Please make a conscious choice to choose excitement. This change/transformation is much needed in our world and in ourselves.

Monday, March 2, 2015:

Monday brings us an energized and active Leo Moon. Yes, we are in the middle of profound change. Yes, the amount of change may be deeply unsettling. We have little idea of where we will land. Yet, here in the middle of our uncertainty, right in the middle of not knowing, Monday offers us a view of enthusiastic possibility. You are able to see the potential of excitement on the path forward.

Allow yourself to enjoy the forward motion that you know is required and feel so strongly. We are building powerfully toward the final square between Uranus and Pluto. Utilize the generosity inherent in this day. This will strengthen our resolve as we move in the direction of our chosen path.

Tuesday, March 3, 2015:

Tuesday begins with the Moon VOC* in Leo. The dramatic Leo Moon remains in this non-active resting space until Wednesday morning at 6:58 AM EST. This is a very long VOC* Moon. If you can simply write this day off; hang out, read a book, or visit with friends that would be my top choice for the day! If you are not able to take the full day off, try not to put your effort and attention on anything that you need to amount to much down the road. Nothing much will come from the activities of Tuesday. Work with no expectation! VOC* days can be lovely if you can simply work with the reality of no expectation. We all need a day of rest periodically. At this time, because all the planets are gathered in the early degree of signs we have this situation where the VOC* periods are unusually extended.

However, Tuesday does hold the highly active excitement of Jupiter trine Uranus. The trine aspect suggests a free flowing energy between these two planets. The energy of Uranus carries a strong buzz and brings us new unexpected information and expansion. Jupiter speaks of faith, believe, and enlargement of purpose. Due to the retrograde motions, we encountered this transit in September 2014, and we will see it again in June of 2015. Consider any excitement or expansion that you felt in September. What is the common theme between then and now? Where is it bringing you? How is it changing your life? This transit could open the floodgates of love or money. It could suggest an expansion of an unusual belief system or an encounter with a culture quite different from your own. Enjoy this free flow of excitement. If something presents itself in your life that has the potential to expand your view into the future, run with it!

Wednesday, March 4, 2015:

On Wednesday, the Moon enters Virgo at 6:58 AM EST, ending the VOC* Moon that was with us all day on Tuesday. Thank goodness. Ask: where can I be of service?

Venus steps into a very powerful position Thursday, first forming a trine aspect to Jupiter; on it’s own this aspect

could be expected to expand our capacity for love, relationship, or understanding of our values and beliefs. Right on the heels of this aspect, Venus meets directly with Uranus. This begins a new cycle of unusual expressions and expansion of relationship, love, and personal values. What are you excited about today? Venus also forms a square aspect to Pluto. The Uranus Pluto square, which forms its final connection on March 16th, is activated strongly by our love relationships and our connection to beauty, social discourse, and our personal values. How are you choosing to move forward with what others may not approve of? How is the transformation occurring in our lives informed by our deepest values and the reality of those we love? This is a very significant day. Pay careful attention to the course of your life from where you stand today. The pressure of change within our lives is very powerful at this time. This is true for us individually and for the cultures and world we live in.

Please treat others with deep kindness and respect. Not just those in your tightest circle of friends, coworkers, and family. Add a dose of kindness to those you encounter in more casual circumstances. Consider that everyone you meet is working with some version of highly intense issues. Show compassion and kindness to each human you encounter.

Thursday, March 5, 2015:

The Full Moon in Virgo is exact at 1:06 PM EST! After all of the intensity of Wednesday (certainly still with us), Thursday allows us to focus on straightening up, cleaning house, organizing, and tidying up some of that mess that seems to be everywhere we look.

At 1:37 PM EST, the Virgo Moon forms a trine aspect to Pluto followed by another very long VOC*. (*sigh). The Moon will remain VOC* until Friday at 7:52 PM EST when she enters Libra to bring us a more socially pleasant weekend.

At 7:18 PM EST, the Sun sextile Pluto. Think back to the very first week of 2015. Consider where you felt the need to deeply empower yourself with a major change in your life. Now you are empowered to gather information for taking a major step in that direction. The major step will occur in early April. The full ramification of what you began in January will be clear by the first week of July.

As you consider the cycles, it helps to remember that there are constantly multiple cycles overlapping and working together and against each other in our lives.
Therein lies the complexity of our path.

This particular cycle is one that has the potential of seriously empowering our future; it may require a time of solitude and is more apt to speak to our careers than our personal life. As you gather information on this next step forward, keep your eyes open this week for an opportunity that is significant to the next step. If an opportunity presents itself this week that fits this criteria, say YES!

Friday, March 6, 2015:

Oh my!! I find it a bit painful to look ahead and see another full day with VOC* Moon. As a reminder; VOC* is an acronym for ‘void of course’. This means that the Moon on its course around Earth is making no major aspects to other planets until it enters the next sign. Often, times these periods will only last a few minutes or a few hours. However, when most of the planets are in early degrees of their signs we can have these times where we have very long stretches of VOC* Moon. The difficulty during these times shows up if we are working toward accomplishment or if we want a result from how our time is spent. If we could each take these times for rest, recuperation, and routine activities there would be no problem. If we are trying to get something done that we expect to amount to something, we can feel as though we are spinning our wheels.

Things you don’t want to do during the VOC* moon: have surgery, get married, sign a business deal, begin a project, have an important meeting, or even buy new clothes! The things that you do during these times generally don’t amount to much. They don’t necessarily turn bad; they simply don’t amount to much! Some years ago I had carpal tunnel surgery during a VOC* Moon. You would think I would know better! Maybe it was a test! All that I went through with that surgery and there was absolutely no improvement in the issues with my wrist. Since that time, I’ve watched these VOC* Moon periods far more carefully!

Rest, watch a movie, read a novel, do routine tasks, clean the house!

At 7:52 PM EST, the Moon enters Libra bringing us a lovely Friday evening for socializing, spending the evening quietly with a partner, or creating something of beauty.

Saturday, March 7, 2015:

I hope you all took advantage of Friday evening with the Moon having entered Libra after such a long day with VOC* Moon. The socialization, the time spent with an intimate partner, or the effort you put into creating something of beauty should be extended throughout Saturday.

The best use of this day is to pick and choose from the list I recommended for Friday: socializing with friends, spending intimate times with a partner, or creating art or something of beauty.  Go out to lunch with your friends, stay home and create art, enjoy romantic time with a loved one! Can you imagine a more perfect day?

Yes, I know all of this is resting on the surface. Below this surface level, we are building so closely to that Uranus Pluto square. None of it is really as perfect or simple as we would like; there are intense undercurrents. Nevertheless creating art and spending time with loved ones and friends is the best prescription for this day. As the evening winds down, it may be best to head to sleep early, and reminder of that intensity is at hand. Enjoy what is good and positive about this day. Be kind. Be patient.

Sunday March 8, 2015:

If you went to bed early enough on Saturday night, you may have missed the intensity bubbling up beneath the surface. Sleep late on Sunday and perhaps you can play-out a good amount of that intensity in your dreams!

As the Moon moves through Libra on Sunday, she opposes Uranus and squares Pluto. This activates the intense power dynamics and demand for change between them. We are reminded of the seething cauldron below the surface of our world, our cultures, and our own personal lives. As we move further into the day, the energy will ease up and lighten.

Please remember it is always best to look our demons clearly in the eye. When we get to know and appreciate the darkness, we realize we can see better than we expected.

Two practices that will help immeasurably at this: Meditation and Kindness.
